It reminds me a lot of breweries in the Midwest, who I think do breweries best. This is one fun and laid-back brewery, which feels like it's deeply hidden in a secret community and when you find it it's like a happy surprise. They are pet and kid friendly and involved with and supportive of the surrounding community and artsy vibe culture. They have a small indoor seating area and a cozy shaded side patio with a coming soon expanded section to make the patio space larger. The vibes are always fun, especially when they host different food and artsy vendors and live DJ's. The staff is not overly friendly, but they get the job done; they greet you, they serve your beer, they pick up the empties and repeat. Unfortunately, there is only one unisex restroom, so depending on how busy they are or if there is a popular themed event you can expect to be waiting in a line for a while. There will be a good amount of people at brewery so there's a chance you might just stand around. Parking on the street, very limited; you would have to walk over. There's a unisex restroom provided. There are options to try a wide assortment of flights, to order a wine slushy, which is a fun option. Great staff, huge brewery in a pretty cool random street. Mostly IPAs, a small selection of lighter beer and they were great! They provide food trucks in lieu of a kitchen, we had Tripp's burgers as the food truck. Cool to see the kegs and back of house areas all together. Very animal friendly, cute playful cat lives there and they welcome dogs in their huge outdoor patio. Would give five stars for the beer quality and laid back vibe. Parking is street only and very competitive during busy times. Nice brewery with lots of seating. I was expecting more options for dark beers, but there was only one. I tried the Kinky (Blonde Ale), Survey Says (Mexican-Style Lager), and Captain Fox (Irish Red Ale). The blonde ale and lager were good. Chill vibe with great craft beers! We celebrated our dear family's milestone birthday. There is an outside patio area, food truck in the front and plenty of more seating indoors. We sat at the large table with booth chairs inside. My first thought was how cute, cozy and warm the atmosphere was. There are cool decorations and merchandise for sale. The staff was friendly, made great recommendations and were attentive in clearing out items from the tables. There's a variety of light, hoppy, malty/dark beers and non-alcoholic options. I ended up ordering a Build your own flight with 4 different beers including: Kinky, Lights Out, Jo Jo's Jam (this was my favorite), and Captain Fox. There are game boards you can borrow and play. The kids ate pizza from Frogtown. We ordered tacos, fries, and wings from Arenita food truck in front. There's a self serve water station and a unisex bathroom (very clean) inside. Echo Park is very fortunate that this brewery is in the neighborhood. Every variety I've tried is magnificent. I've been there several times and I'm always greeted by a terrific staff who are not only knowledgeable about the craft brews they serve, but are as nice as can be. Nora and Will recognized me and that makes it an even more pleasant experience. I was so taken with this business that I actually became a member of their Frogtown society. Now when I come in, they always serve me in a special member only Glass. Now that I'm a member, I get invited to special private parties that they throw as well as being among the first to experience new varietals they are brewing. Jonathan, a master brewer, was in and I told him that he makes the best Porter I've ever had and I'm picky about Porters. He was so taken with my thoughts on his 2024 Prince George blend, five minutes later he came out of the back with a 2022 Prince George that he wanted to share with me. The 2022 is no longer available but this was from his private stock and the taste was out of this world. I was told later by Ian that Jonathan was very touched by what I said to him about his brew because what he did for me doesn't happen every day. Treat yourself. This is one brewery that really cares about their product outside of their door, there is always either a food truck or pop up food service that is always delicious and fair priced. Parking is hard to find, they don't have their own parking lot. The vibes are super chill; I love the old school music that they play. The music is loud enough so you don't hear other peoples conversations but are able to converse with your partner easily. The beers are great. Nice indoor and outdoor space. Inside can be warm in the summer. The food truck ran out of food by 6:30 on a weekend which wasn't ideal. Luckily tons of places deliver from nearby. We had quite the spread and they kept serving us beer outside. read more

Always loved visiting this place while I was living in Atwater Village abutting the riverfront on the back end and plenty of parking since it's in an industrial area of Frog Town, named for the original little frogs that used to populate most of the LA river in Chip a lot at night (there are only a few right now, but they're trying to be re-introduced by FOLAR). Tasty sandwiches, good crunchy fried things always available to accompany your microbrews. And they even include creative salads and the number of V/V+ items. Services all these quick care and friendly. We're not from around these parts so you know the. EER is good if we drive 40-45 min for a cold one. Get the Pain Killer, you won't regret it! A cool fun brewery in Frog-town! Right off the freeway in Elysian Valley is this fun and cool brewery. I got there at night on a weekday cause I really love blonde beers and they have one I enjoy. For a weekday parking was surprisingly difficult. It is Los Angeles after all so that means you got to find whatever street parking you can that is not blocking a driveway. This is an office industrial Elysian park area so there's no parking lots. Visited a while ago back so my memory is not as fresh but what I share are impressions that will follow you as well. Once you find street parking the brewery has there food truck outside with tacos and the bar area indoors with an outdoor area right next door. The outdoor area has a stage for rock bands and other groups and fun brewery games. A lot of options for beers and they are all good. I am a fan of blondes so glad they have something for me. A nice big operation inside. Service was great and the bartender let me taste to find what I wanted. As it was a weekday there was a mixed crowd of people studying and families enjoying their time. What a great little brewery! This spot is tucked away in a little neighborhood called "Frogtown" along the LA River. Beer selection is really good, about a half dozen of each style of beer from IPA to Light, Dark, etc. and if there's a favorite or two you want to take home you can grab a 4-pack from their refrigerator. There's a bit of a steampunk vibe happening here which makes for a fun theme and service is fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. There's a large beer garden with big stage for live music acts as well. Frogtown is one of my favorite pregame spots before going to Dodger Stadium for a game being about 3 miles away just down the hills. The brewery is also near the LA river bike path so it's an easy spot for cyclists to drop in on. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor patio seating so it's perfect for large groups. The beers they brew here are some of the best and most consist here in LA. They regularly have food trucks, inside there's board games to play, and it's dog friendly. We had a great time at Frogtown Brewery! One of the main reasons we chose this spot was because it's dog-friendly--we were with our tiny 4 lb Maltipoo, and it was the perfect place to hang out with a pup. Parking is definitely limited, especially on the street, so plan ahead. We arrived a bit later in the afternoon on a Sunday, just after the live band had finished playing, but the vibe was still relaxed and welcoming. We grabbed a table outside and enjoyed the mellow atmosphere until sunset. Once it got chilly, we headed indoors since there were no heat lamps outside. We sampled a few beers and ended up really liking one of their IPAs, along with a hard seltzer that tasted surprisingly like an alcoholic Baja Blast--super refreshing. Most of the bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable, which made choosing drinks easy and fun. Toward the end of our visit, we decided to grab a couple of growlers to go. Unfortunately, the final interaction with one of the bartenders--a blonde woman--took a strange turn. It took nearly 30 minutes to get our growlers though there were no customers ordering drinks, which put a bit of a damper on an otherwise smooth experience. One downside was the food truck on-site that day. Our friend ordered a burrito and chips, which turned out to be overpriced and pretty disappointing--definitely not the highlight of the visit. Overall, Frogtown Brewery has a chill vibe, great drinks, and is super pet-friendly. Just skip the food truck and bring a little patience if it's near closing time. read more

Came by randomly for the first time one night 2 hours prior to closing and it wasn't packed at all. Chose to sit outside since there was a fire pit to keep warm. I ordered 2 beers through the self scan QR code and waited almost 15 minutes which was unexpected. There was not the greatest selection/ variety of beers available and also no food available within the restaurant from what I saw, just a food truck parked outside. read more

There's a chill, darker atmosphere indoors if that's your vibe. But there is a plethora of outdoor seating in their patio if you want some some and air. Staff here is always so friendly and welcoming whether you're a regular or a first timer checking the place out. Came by this latest time around to check out their Frog Claw Seltzer-- I'm a sucker for POG flavored drinks and strong seltzers (this one's a 7%-er!) Happy to report that I got a very good buzz of just one drink and wouldn't have minded another. I'm not a fan of overly carbonated seltzers so I especially enjoyed the Frog Claw. Great Brewery, kind of a hidden location, tucked away by the LA river and industrial area. Parking is tight, but you can easily find a spot on the street and walk to it ( which is what I did) For me, service was just ok, nothing memorable. Line was long but they managed to move it along. One restroom inside so beware for waiting times. They have an outdoor patio next door and that is where you will see majority of people hanging out with their dogs, family and friends. There was a food vendor by the front, however, I did not try their food. As for the beer selection, they do carry quite a few. I decided to try their Hoppy Selection: the famous "Painkiller" which is a milkshake (IPA with coconut and pineapple) It was so yummy, sweet and strong at 7.1%. Definitely my favorite of the day! Then I decided to try "Phantasmic Punch" Double Hazy IPA w/ Phantasm @ 8.5% strong, hazy, crisp taste. Overall, a cool little spot to hang out and grab a few beers, a lot of bikers were dropping by as well. Must be the hang out spot for the bikers who ride along the LA river. Had a great time celebrating our friends birthday at Frogtown! It was my first time here and it was fun experience, loved how low-key it was but the ambience was cool and not rowdy. Its tucked in the Frogtown neighborhood which I have learned so much of this past year and all the events hosted in that area + I've been running nearby in LA river path, so it was neat to know this place is near. They have a cool seating area in their outside patio but we decided to go inside as it was randomly raining in LA, the inside had a dim light vibe and enough seating area as well that goes onto the back. They have one restroom though so anticipate the wait. Very friendly staff! For food, they have vendors that change every weekend according to some friends who mentioned they have a calendar with their updates, the day we went they had a wing place, its ever changing. So look up what vendor will be there the day you visit. :) Can't complain about their drink selection, it seems they carry local beers and your known ones. I don't exactly remember the name of the drink I got but it was a guava seltzer.... but it was hit!
