So great to see Monkish Brewing opening a tap room in Echo Park! They've got about a dozen taps of their fantastic beer here, and several cans and bottles to go. Their smallish indoor space opens onto a much larger patio, similar to their Torrance and Anaheim spots. They're located in the back of a row of storefronts on Sunset. You can't see the front door from the street. There's a small parking lot in front. Further good news is that they're bringing in Eric from Anaheim to run the tap room. Some of you will remember when he was a bartender in Torrance before taking on Anaheim. Glad to see them officially in LA!

I couldn't be more pumped for this 3rd location! Congratulations Henry & Adriana! LA NEEDED THIS!! Wish you and the team all the success!

Monkish makes the best beer. Full stop. If that's not enough, they have the best music. They provide great service. What else do you want? Now they're this close to Dodgers Stadium?! This is an absolute must stop for any beer fan and any Dodger fan. Figure the parking situation out, but if you want the best hazy ipa, the best west coast IPA, or even the best stout (if you're lucky) around, this is your spot. I love that Monkish opened up here. I will be here before and/or after every Dodger game.

Great hazy ipas and monkish Belgian style beers with amazing service and sunshine... what more do you need? The newest monkish spot soft opened this week and is a welcome addition to town. There are some bar seats, standing indoor bar spots, and a few tables on an outdoor friendly patio. This place is all about the DDH Double IPAs and Belgian style sours and saison. There are a couple other options that were available on our visit including a hard seltzer, stout, and lager. The place is laid back. No food so bring something along if you're hungry.

Monkish is finally open in Echo Park!!! Angelenos are stoked since they don't have to drive all the way down to Torrance anymore. This small taproom is right on Sunset in a crowded area, so it's going to benefit from a ton of foot traffic and will be packed for dodger games. Small parking lot and difficult street parking, so I highly recommend Ubering to and from. Located in the back of a strip mall / parking lot so not visible from the street. Outdoor patio and alley, small indoor taproom. Extensive beer menu and lots of cans to go. Incredibly excited about this place opening only two miles from Highland Park Brewery so now we have access to the top two breweries in the county. Definitely check this place out!

I had never heard of or been here before, but it seemed like a chill spot overall. It's a pretty big place with both outdoor seating and a split indoor layout, but everything was nice and comfortable. I ordered a beer flight I only ended up being a fan of one of them, but that one definitely hit, so that's a win. We came for a stand-up show, and it was a little empty, but honestly I didn't mind the relaxed vibe.

The place has a really cool, laid-back vibe spacious, industrial style, and super inviting. It got busy, but the staff handled it well and were friendly the whole time. I don't drink, but my friends all grabbed beers and kept saying how good they were (they're definitely known for their craft beers). Everyone was happy, which says a lot! I just enjoyed the atmosphere and the energy of the crowd. There's plenty of seating, clean bathrooms (always important), and even a separate room with a stage, so it looks like they host live music and events too. Big plus: it feels like a great spot to hang out after a run or meet up with friends. I've also heard they often have food trucks, which makes it even better. Overall, great vibes, good service, and a fun place to unwind. Would definitely come back with the group!

Finding Hidden Gems: Art District Brewing in Little Tokyo, LA…read more One of my favorite rituals when traveling is hunting down the best local breweries -- and Los Angeles did not disappoint. Tucked away in the vibrant heart of Little Tokyo, Art District Brewing instantly caught my attention. The atmosphere alone made it worth the visit, with that perfect blend of industrial cool and neighborhood charm that only LA seems to pull off. The tap selection was impressive -- thoughtfully curated and clearly crafted with intention. But honestly? The food is what stole the show. I always love leaning on a server's recommendations, and this time it paid off beautifully. The chicken tenders arrived golden, perfectly crispy on the outside, and impossibly juicy within. These weren't your average bar bites -- they were the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate the moment. Whether you're a craft beer obsessive or simply someone who appreciates great food in a great setting, Art District Brewing belongs on your LA itinerary. Next time you find yourself wandering Little Tokyo, do yourself a favor and walk through those doors. You can thank me later.

I refuse to scream at bartenders to get served, however the last time I was there after standing there for 15 minutes trying to be patient waiting for my turn and getting skipped over for rude customers being pushy, I realized it was necessary which only pisses them off even more but at least you're able to get a drink which is why most people are there in the first place! Lots of TVs for watching sports, skeeball, pool, food stand for tacos inside...

I opted for the blackberry cider this time. It was refreshing with just a hint of sweetness. It complemented the country fried wings with Korean bbq sauce. And that both All Season and Chico's accept inKind for payment is another plus. The spot is great for gatherings, small or large, families and dogs and the atmosphere is festive but can get loud.

There is plenty of street parking around and the place is walkable. I visited this past Friday for the soccer game (Brazil Vs. I enjoyed this flavor so much that I ended up getting two more rounds later. Plenty of beer selection on tap and even wine. They offer indoor/outdoor seating as well as some space upstairs. Indoors they have a big screen, and the outdoor patio has a TV. Lastly, the upstairs area has a smaller TV. They also have rotating food trucks for anyone that develops hunger or cravings. They are pet and child friendly; very welcoming overall. I enjoyed visiting once again.
