We came here during the week for one of those lectures next-door and thought it'd be a good idea to grab a couple beers prior. The place is cool. They have a great variety and the staff is super knowledgeable about all the drinks available.

Fantastic ambiance! This place has such a cool vibe and great indoor space as well as outdoor seating. Inside gives off an elevated but still relaxing feel and outdoors was like a secret garden vibe. I'm personally a dark beer fan and they didn't have any but my brother got a light beer which he enjoyed and I bought him this awesome corduroy Boomtown hat. Super welcoming staff and a friendly crowd. I'd definitely come back.

I used to frequently come here when I lived in Cali it was very chill vibe it's been a couple of years since. Now that I recently checked it out it has changed in a good way. I always try to make a pit stop here . Great vibes and good people. Beer is amazing . ! 10/10

This was my second visit to Boomtown and I enjoyed the laidback vibe. We had patient and friendly beer tenders who suggested a few styles to try. After sampling a few beers, I chose the Graffiti IPA. The can is so damn cool! We had a top tier smash burger and fries from WAVE and I'm excited to see they have two regular beach locations! Great night and looking to have regular visits, especially with live music.

A perfect place to get together with a group of friends as well as hosting super cool events! The house made brews are super flavorful and they have a great selection of different styles!

My cousins decided to come hang out here in the afternoon, (I do not consume alcohol) and they enjoyed their pitchers of beer, to which Jose attended us all really well and was quick to attend anyone pretty quick. The space here is great to hang out and shoot some pool, great choice of music, he had oldies playing, I love that. Great place to go watch a game as well.

This place was busy! Not only were the drinks good, but they had a big projector with the soccer game in and everyone was so focused! Such a great atmosphere and the vibes were super chill. They had on some Latin music after the game was over and people got up and danced. Loved every minute of it. The lines to get beer were long but they were quick. Outdoor seating at well with shade, also with a tv for people to watch the game. That was really neat. I'd totally come back!

Went there for a food festival event but ended up staying after because we really liked the space. It's even bigger than it looks from outside. There's a back area with plenty of seating both inside and outside. They have pool tables and throwback video arcade games. They have a lot of different flavors for their drinks which I like and will definitely be back to try others. I really liked their cider. The bartenders were really nice and not sure if the other people there worked for the event or the bar but they were very helpful and nice as well.

I am def a Boomtown Baddie thru and thru (feel free to use this name for future beer names ;) Of all the breweries I have visited, this spot seems to be my favorite. Location wise, it just gives. You are near several other bustling areas like Little Tokyo & Arts District, it's like a plyground. The brewey has plenty of seating, pitchers of beers, arcade games, screen to watch sports games, pool tables, giant jenga (although I didn't see it this last time I went), all good vibes. Any brewery that has games, has my heart. I love the wood decor with hanging plants. The overall feel of this place is just inviting. From the leather casual sitting, to the artwork and music, to the selection of beers, this place just gives fun times with friends, chisme, jokes and games. Their security is great, greets you at the front and gives you the welcomed feeling from the jump. I appreciate the feedback from the people working when I ask questions on their beers on tap. They often times have food trucks, but I have also brought in my own food or have doordashed some grub. Do yourself a favor and go check it out.

First time here and what a spacious, friendly place!

*** Serendipity is stumbling on a brewery. *** I literally parked across the street on Saturday. I was going several blocks away to KC Beauty. Yet there's lots of street parking at Boomtown. So after my facial, I stopped in to sample brew. The outdoor wall murals are all very good imo. That struck me first. Although it was hot out, patio seating was refreshingly cool & shaded. I tried a couple IPAs and a pale ale to sample. My fave was the Hazy for sunny days. It got a floral after taste that hits well in hot weather. *** This place is quite chill. Def will ret'n. ***

I've never had a Black IPA. Ursa Major was a surprise

One of the very few Breweries in LA that isn't a pain in the ass to find parking with good robust choices for harder beers with body and sharp flavors. The Dark Ambience is great. Went down the block( tried all the beers ) with flights and it's a good place for a brew. service is great and are very generous with their approach. It's a place I've been stopping by a few times now and I can agree it's a good place for beer, pool and some darts.

Boomtown Brewery is a teeny bit out of the way in Little Tokyo, but worth the visit. The brewery consists of two large areas that can seat big groups at long tables or sofas. Tip: the brewery allows you to bring/order your own food! The staff was very helpful in making decisions. I tried a flight with a range from light to heavier beers (even got a bonus one to try): - Pasta Water: an easy going pilser - Las Palmas: West coast pale ale - Atomic rattlesnake: super tasty imperial IPA - Cost of Business: watermelon passionfruit sour - Brett Michaels blonde sour: my favorite at the time At the time of visit, the brewery hosted a side event for adopting pets, which was a cute and almost irresistible. I'm assuming there are multiple events being held at the space, which makes it a lively and diverse place to visit. Next time I'll go, I'll have to pick up some of the merch they're selling. Love the designs!

Ask the Community - Boomtown Brewery

    Is it 21 and over?

Yes, it's a brewery, however minors are allowed until 7PM daily. They sometimes host family friendly events until 6PM throughout the year.

Is there WiFi available? I am looking for. A place to work and have a drink at the same time

Hey Karla! Yes we have free wifi available

Hi. Can you bring in dessert if celebrating a birthday? Also, can you bring in outside food for kids who may not like the food options from the food truck?

Absolutely! And if you need a fridge just let us know and we can put it in the walk in until you’re ready for it

Hello, are all ages welcome at boomtown brewery on the weekends?

Yup! until 8pm, then we are 21+

    Is there parking?

    Street parking

Do they take reservations for large parties?

You can rent the corner lounge or upper patio area for a fee through jane@boomtownbrew.com. Otherwise we operate as first come first served. Cheers!

Are there TV's for sports (Dodgers)?

Yes they have on big projection screen inside main tap room

Hey Anabel! We have water and a few soda options but you are more than welcome to bring any non alcoholic beverages in as well

Do you need to have your vacation card to drink inside?

When we went in February 2022 we had to show our vax cards.

If no proof of vaccination will a 24-72 hour negative test result suffice?

No sorry we can’t accept that at this time. We are following the la county and la city rules that are currently in place and they don’t allow us to accept that at breweries or bars right now, only restaurants

Will there be food available Friday night 11/12?

I am trying to get ahold of them for an event and have called, and emailed- is there any alternate contact information?

Coming here for the LEGO pop up but want to eat first . Are there any good spots around in walking distance?

Depends on how far you want to walk ,lil Tokyo and arts district are close by , you can walk but might be about a 20/30 min walk or would be like a very cheap Uber ride ,but as far as in the same block or surrounding blocks not really

I haven't seen one at Boomtown. I've been coming for a little over a year now, and in that time I have yet to see a Gluten free beer

Finding Hidden Gems: Art District Brewing in Little Tokyo, LA…read more One of my favorite rituals when traveling is hunting down the best local breweries -- and Los Angeles did not disappoint. Tucked away in the vibrant heart of Little Tokyo, Art District Brewing instantly caught my attention. The atmosphere alone made it worth the visit, with that perfect blend of industrial cool and neighborhood charm that only LA seems to pull off. The tap selection was impressive -- thoughtfully curated and clearly crafted with intention. But honestly? The food is what stole the show. I always love leaning on a server's recommendations, and this time it paid off beautifully. The chicken tenders arrived golden, perfectly crispy on the outside, and impossibly juicy within. These weren't your average bar bites -- they were the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate the moment. Whether you're a craft beer obsessive or simply someone who appreciates great food in a great setting, Art District Brewing belongs on your LA itinerary. Next time you find yourself wandering Little Tokyo, do yourself a favor and walk through those doors. You can thank me later.
