Favorite new place! I came for a game night but its the wrong day. I decided to seize the day and try some beers anyway. The area is beautiful and makes you feel like you are in another city, not DTLA. They have a ramp and stairs to access the spacious Venue. I felt like I was at home. The gentleman with the friendly smile was helpful and had such a pleasant demeanor. I sampled the dotsxcreators (tasty), east la ipa and the watermelon salt taps, very interesting flavor profiles. My wife and I stopped by Creature Comforts Brewing on a Friday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. and the brewery was relatively empty when we arrived. We happened to come by during their weekly "Hip-Hop + R&B Vibes" night, which runs from 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. every Friday -- a great coincidence since that's normally what we listen to anyways. We chose this spot since we had dinner reservations nearby at 5:30 p.m. and had time for just one beer. I went with one of their high ABV imperial stouts and it was everything I wanted in a stout -- rich and toasty with notes of chocolate. I really enjoyed the chill vibe of the brewery, with lots of games available, clean bathrooms, and tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Honestly, nothing else you could ask for in a brewery. Staff was super friendly as well. The beer menu is super expansive, so even the pickiest drinker will find something they like. The only downside was parking: there was zero street parking directly outside the brewery, and as we circled the surrounding blocks, each block further we ventured away from the brewery felt progressively less safe. We eventually found a spot, but it definitely took a bit of driving around. Bonus: dog-friendly, too! read more

It's super clean and really inviting. They have a lot of options for beers. My husband got the Neon Cylinders (sour) and I ordered a lager. Both were really good. Spacious, friendly spot in the middle of DTLA with a great mix of beers on tap. I tried the DTLA IPA and the Classic City Lager--both were excellent, crisp, and super fresh. First time here. When we first arrived the line was not offensive...still long. Just two working behind the counter and a single file line. I ordered two stouts to try. Liked them. My guy ordered a sour passion fruit and guava. He really enjoyed. So much so that he wanted a second pour and maybe some to go. We waited for the line to die down, but it just grew longer. They definitely left money on the table because we couldn't have been the only people discouraged by the wait. More staff, different ordering procedures (maybe QR codes at the table?) I just found out about Creatures of Comfort while doing a brewery hop with some friends in downtown LA. The beer is on point, Los Angeles has a lot of craft breweries now so if taste and variety of beer is your top preference when decided what brewery to visit in LA I can assure you they'll live up to expectations. The other thing i really like is the size of this location. The inside has some nice lounge like seating on the opposite sides of the bar, and outside. Very spacious patio area that's perfect for large groups like you'd see at Boomtown or Angel City. The service was great as well, about 30 of us showed up around 9pm on a Friday and the staff took care of everyone orders with no issue. Very friendly and welcoming. A great addition to the craft beer scene in LA. read more

A good half the time I come down here, this place is just randomly closed. Today is one of those days. There's no sign, nothing -- the place is just shut tight. The security guard says that every Friday, the open at noon, but today, they're closed. People are inside working, but they're closed. Why even bother patronizing a place like this that doesn't bother keeping regular hours? They're open when they feel like it. Recently visited during a curated residency by Black owned brewers Crown and Hops. I had never been to Creature Comforts and was pleasantly surprised by the space. It's located in DTLA in the City Market South Plaza. The location is beautiful, gives artsy vibes with it's large open space. It's perfect for socializing with friends or even a casual date. It's located near several shops and restaurants that have amazing food as well. When I visited there was a football game on and lots of patrons were there to watch. Creature Comforts gives off a classy vibe as it was able to host sports fans, jazz enthusiasts and beer aficionados all at one time without missing a beat. The staff were incredibly friendly and the brews on tap were top notch. I was also delighted to experience a local band by the name of Katalyst Collective who I am a fan of. They performed outside of the brewery. This made for a magical intimate experience under the string lights, crisp night air with a refreshing beer in hand. I had never heard of Creature Comforts prior to this event however this collaboration has made me a new fan of the taproom. I plan to go back and make this a regular go to spot when I'm looking for a great atmosphere and to try new beers. I can't say enough about this place and highly recommend it if you're looking for a unique brewery experience. read more

Late 9/23, this spot just opened in the Fashion District. This brewery originated in Georgia, but had plans to open in DTLA for a while now. Me and a group of beer loving friends came here to check it out. It's currently their soft opening. As you walk in, you check in at the host/ hostess counter. This is where you give them your card information so you don't have to worry about it the rest of the visit. The folks here are super friendly and enthusiastic. The space itself is super nice. It feels spacious and I love the design. It's a really cool spot to have beers that. They have a great menu and it's only gonna get better. Right now they have a good coverage of styles and we ordered a bunch of different ones to be able to try all of them. I've traded for a lot of beers from this brewery by way of good friends in the southeast. And tried a lot of their beers at beer shares over the years. I was a fan coming in so that's why our group was excited to check out the spot. We weren't disappointed. The area is kind of sketch. We got there as it was getting dark. I was able to find plenty of street parking nearby but it's one of those areas where I was kind of worried where I left my car. No joke. I'm sure it's fine but just keep that in mind. This is a great addition to downtown. Only issue is I wish it was closer to my other favorite breweries downtown but you can't have it all, lol. Came here early for a beer day with friends. This is a Really fun and spacious brewery in the fashion district of downtown LA. Plenty of metered street parking, and there's also valet but I think it's for the restaurants located in the area. This spot has a good selection of beers, fun and friendly staff, board games, and the mandatory cornhole sets. An even bigger plus it's dog friendly. read more

Cool, relaxed brewery with warehouse vibes. They had a good variety of beers and you could get 5 oz to try a few. I do not recommend coming here when the fashion district sells clothes on the street. Free street parking on a Sunday was hard to come by. I'm sure when the area is quiet, it's easy to find parking. I would come back if I was nearby. The Fashion District area is a bit grungy though. I'm still puzzled how this city market south hipster area is still around since I don't find the Italian or Latin American restaurants that outstanding. read more

Indoor / outdoor venue that shares a courtyard with a coffee shop, bocce ball court, and other businesses. Large selection of taps with everything from IPAs to lagers to sours. Beautiful venue, taproom, and nice, clean bathrooms. Friendly staff with easy credit card & pay system. Bring your own food (for now) although there is a pizza joint in the courtyard that opens at 5pm daily. New brewery!! It's ggggggrreat. Sour is my favorite - both the Athena and the Neon Cylinder. The IPAs are delish as well. Strongest beer on the menu is the hazy. Pilsners and Lagers were fantastic and very drinkable, started with those. They just painted it , soft opening all October, and then this place is going to blow up. Yesssss! Finally open and I couldn't be more stoked. I loved CC beers whenever I travel south, and am stoked to add them into the lineup of local breweries we have access to. Popped in the check it and I dig the space. Simple yet elegant, the beer was great, and the staff was amazingly friendly. This is such a beautiful space with some great beer. Probably one of the most beautiful breweries I've visited (and I've visited quite a few:-)). Fruit circus was probably my favorite beer, but we tried a few of their beers and you really can't go wrong with whatever you choose. The folks working here are really friendly and helpful. Love the corn hole and ping pong table available. They also have a ton of board games to choose from. They have a great merchandise selection too. Saw this place getting promoted by the Russo Brothers and Thor, and had to come check it out the weekend it opened. I absolutely love this brewery, the beer is great, the ambiance is amazing and very well done with open seating, it doesn't make you feel cluttered or uncomfortable. The service is easy and fast, and the staff will come around and collect your empty glasses :) They don't have a kitchen but do have a great pizza vendor down below which was good just too pricy for me so I left to pick up some food and came back :) Great Brewery! read more

Creature Comforts has such a cute little space and another plus side is that they have Dodger games on! It's in the fashion district with a few other restaurants, but other than that it's pretty sleepy. Parking was easy on a Friday night since all the shops around there close down for the evening. Ordering food from next door was simple and delicious. The servers come bring your food to your table thanks to the QR code. I can't say much for the beer because I only tried one NA, which was pretty good actually! But my husband liked his sour beer a lot. Would definitely go back again. A long awaited introduction of the Athens, GA brewery to DTLA. I remember my excitement a few years ago when it was announced that CC would be opening up in the between the Garment and Flower Districts, and boy, it was worth the wait. Despite an official announcement of the soft opening, there was a nice buzz around the space and it was well staffed with extremely friendly and knowledgeable beertenders. The amount of offerings upon opening was a nice surprise, though that makes sense as a well established brewery out east. As I'm very familiar with their beer, I was hoping they would have some of their more limited beers, but I'm sure those will come with some time. The tasting room is located in an...interesting area of town with newer, higher end restaurants and their corresponding valet stands next to clothing wholesalers and tents scattered here and there. That said, it felt safe to bring the family and street parking was quite ample for early evening on a Friday. While they do not serve food (yet?), they were totally fine with us bringing in outside food. We will be back, and likely quite often. read more
