Bunny with a chainsaw IPA. GREAT
Graciela C.

I recently discovered Bunny with a chainsaw at my local pub and immediately became obsessed. It is one of the best Hazy IPAs from the area so we decided to visit the brewery. The brewery is awesome and laid back. There's a food truck in front where you can buy burgers fries and other good eats. I tried a bunch of different brews but ultimately the bunny w a chain saw is still the best for me. Definitely recommend the beer flight (5) to try more options. Great place to hang out with friends or a date. Parking on the street was easy.

Outside shot. They did have an outdoor sitting area but doesn't check it out this time.
Ray Y.

They didn't serve food but they did have a food truck outside. That'll be a separate review. Bartender was awesome. I asked for a stout beer and he gave a good recommendation. The stout was flavorful. The second one I got was a good flavor IPA. The sitting area and the brewery in itself was pretty chill. Decor was great.

We had an awesome time at Paperback! The staff here was so helpful and took great care of our large group. Tons of selection and the bartenders made great recommendations. Awesome vibes inside and out. I suggest the beer garden if you have a large party or want a quieter area to hang out. Will definitely be back soon! Thank you Joe and team!

My husband & I really enjoyed spending our Saturday afternoon here. He had a cider and I had the seltzer on tap. Both were really nice. The food truck outside was tasty. The bathrooms were clean. The service was quick. Overall, we just really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Chill place to have a tasty brew
Nathan G.

Nice relaxing brewery. Many brews, mostly IPA/hazy, the Baby Bunny with a Chainsaw is a very nice New England IPA, and The Surrealist is a tasty Belgian golden sort of like Duvel without the frothy head. They gave me a sample without asking, nice service. Lots of goofy labels on their beers, reminiscent of comic books and pulp fiction. Burger truck outside, kid friendly, almost a family joint.

Our Go-To Spot - Paperback Brewing We're regulars at Paperback Brewing for a reason. The vibe is laid-back and fun, and the artwork on the cans is just as impressive as the beer itself. Plus--it's dog friendly! Always a bonus when we can bring our pup along. Great beer, great people, and a chill space we keep coming back to. Highly recommend!

Interior seating area, building used to be an airplane hanger!
Jay T.

We always have fun at paperback, it's a laid-back neighborhood type vibe that is unpretentious and friendly. I love sitting in the old airplane hanger and seeing the brewing vats in the background and enjoying the cold treats that came out of them. If you want food there's usually a food truck out front. The service can be slow if they're busy, but the servers are always friendly and helpful.

This spot has good beer and good service! Just stumbled on this new spot and will definitely will be coming back! Great vibes

Paperback beers have fun names and intricate comic art on their cans, and the ones we've had have all been great. They have comic-illustrated "library cards" so you can keep track of what you've tried. You can also buy cans to take home. The inside area is usually packed. There are picnic tables outside, some with umbrellas. Even at the busiest times, there's always a spot somewhere. The best part of Paperback is their partnership with Bun & Blanket smash burger truck. It's a permanent fixture outside the brewery, so you can get your fix every time you come. The best smash burgers I've ever had. To be noted: they do allow children and there are always families there. Also, parking is difficult to find in the area.

Ask the Community - Paperback Brewing

Do they always have food, or is it only available during special events?

The Bun and Blanket food truck is at Paperback daily: Monday-Friday: 4:30-9 PM… Read more

Do they also have liquor at this place?

No just beer

Are dogs permitted in the "indoor" area or only in patio?

On my last visit in July, there was a dog sitting just inside the building. He was a very well behaved dog. You have to confirm with management though. I don't know the actual animal policy.

Is happy hour available? If so, what are the days/time?

Is this one Kid friendly?

It can be good for kids during the day.

Can you bring outside drinks to paperback? My bf loves beer but I can't drink it or sugary ciders; still we want to come

They were so lay back and fun people, so don't think it would be a problem

Does Paperback serve wine as well? (asking for a friend)

No they don't serve wine

It was actually a collaboration with three Filipino breweries in LA. We really enjoyed the beer here and ended up doing three rounds. Of course we had the Jollibeer, which is a Peach Mango Lager. Their ube-flavored drinks are also really good, so we tried the Ube Macapuno Porter. Their calamansi drinks are amazing too, so we had Lola's Wit, a Belgian Wit with calamansi and coriander. They also have some interesting Japanese beers like Yasuke, a Matcha Black Lager, and Kanpai Krush, a Sushi Rice Lager. I'll definitely be back for more of their great tasting beer. As a bonus, they also have disc golf. One of the employees was really cool and even let us take some discs home.

I do appreciate the know-how of the bartender/brewer in their knowledge of the beer they brew here as well. The ambiance is cohesive and family safe. There are plenty of folks from the movie industry kicking back at this place, a trivia night, families hanging out; the vibe is chill here. A Food truck is generally always around. The one downside is their parking situation isn't super big. Their location is basically in a large garage warehouse, but it's very well put together. The expanded available parking in just nearby under the overpass which could use some lighting but it's only a few yards away from the friendly-establishment. I'll never say no to this place to visit a friend for a solid pint of beer. Good stuff Brewyard!

It's a great spot to bring your pup and relax outdoors, which we really appreciated. That said, the experience had a few hiccups. I was a bit disappointed that a couple of the items I was most excited to try--the Guava Cart and the Spicy Clucker--were unavailable. I ended up ordering the chicken Caesar salad, which was simple but satisfying. My fiancé and I also shared the chicken nachos, and those were definitely a highlight--really flavorful and worth trying. He ordered the pub burger and was happy with it, so no complaints there. The biggest downside was the service. It was quite slow, and unfortunately, my food came out much later than his. By the time I got my meal, he had already finished eating, and our puppy had officially lost patience with the whole outing. I ended up taking my food to go, which wasn't ideal. Overall, it's a fun, dog-friendly spot with some tasty menu items, but the slower service didn't quite match the price point. Still, we had a decent time, so I'd give it 4 stars.

There is no food service at this location but they seem to partner with a couple food trucks serving tacos. Some inside open air seating but the main draw is the relaxing patio. I liked their hard seltzers with fun flavors as jicama, tamarindo and passionfruit. I didn't like so much their signature Yerba Mate Pale Ale, but thought it was an interesting concept. The happy hour special is Monday all day and Tuesday-Friday open until 6pm $2 off full pours. Very family friendly, I always see a couple tables with children and dogs at them. Maybe I'm getting to be an old fuddy duddy but I hate when parents let their kids go free range. Screaming and running around like the establishment is a park these kids becoming trip hazards. There needs to be a revamp of their board game collection. There three boxes of games that looked incomplete or used up, not good with such games as Scrabble and Pictionary. There are plenty of TV's and a variety of seating area options with both high chairs and low comfy couches and fun little corners with heaters to hang out in. There's a nice selection of English and Spanish 80s and 90s music playing in the background and a fantastic relaxed vibe with a great selection of vintage decor and memorabilia all over the hangar building. We sat in the small upstairs area with cozy seating, a large TV and a balcony view of everything and everyone below, including views of the back area with the beertanks. The second level is stairs access only. They are both kid and pet friendly throughout the entire space. There's a small patio area with access only through the front and located to the side of the hangar (i didn't see any heaters tho). There are 3 co-ed restrooms which are only located on the bottom floor near the entrance. I'm not sure if parking gets difficult, but we got lucky with street parking right in front. Something to point out... Although we stayed for an entire football game, we didn't really encounter too many employees during our visit (so not sure if they were short staffed or they don't really go upstairs). We didn't feel comfortable leaving our glasses and trash from the foodtruck and with consideration to others, we bussed our own table/space before leaving. The only interaction with staff was when ordering the beer at the front counter and they were polite. Something to keep in mind... dress warm or according to the weather. The building is an open hangar and although they have space heaters throughout, it got a bit cold when we were there (January)... they eventually closed part of the entrance door, so i guess they felt it too lol! I'm sure it's the opposite during summer, so I guess I'll find out then. Overall, visually pleasing, great use of space and vintage decor, cozy and relaxed vibes. I'll definitely visit again and will be adding to the list of favorites. Fun times!

The Brewery has a large parking lot however it gets full pretty quickly, if you get lucky you can also find some parking in the neighborhood street adjacent, or there is street parking for 2 hours on the main street. Yesterday was a pretty packed day, the main back patio with umbrellas was packed with people as there was an artist doing doggy portraits on that side. The back patio is disconnected from the brewery so you have to walk back and forth if you want to refill. I would say that side is more in the sun, so even with umbrellas it's a bit hotter on that side. The brewery is pretty cool inside, they have two separate bars to order from, one is the Beer bar, and one is the coffee/tea/ other things bar. I tried their Shibuya rice lager which was ice cold and very refreshing for a hot day. Our group also ordered the Really big pretzel, and Nachos which were pretty delicious. Finally, there is the front patio which faces the main street, and was fully in the shade. It is quite small with about 4 tables, but the sidewalk has quite a bit of foot traffic, and this is where we were able to set up camp with the fosters to mingle and meet with people who wanted to meet the doggies. When a breeze goes by, it is so refreshing and it's pretty nice on that front patio! I love that Wild Parrot Brewing company is dog friendly and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive.
