Great local Pasadena brewery for a beer and some pub food! Pretzels, nachos and more! Beer To go in growlers too! Shared space coffee by day and beer by night. Lots of there trivia etc nights

Cheers

I will start with a very important thing that must be said... the staff here are AWESOME! They were welcoming, kind and super helpful with having us decide on what beer to start the evening with. There is plenty of seating space for indoor and outdoor; being that they serve food (yes, they have a kitchen with limited options of food but hey, sometimes you want some nachos with your beer...) no dogs are allowed indoors but they are welcome in their outdoor patio. I should also say that since they do have a kitchen, outside food is not allowed so please either eat before hand or just order from the taproom since no one wants to have beer on an empty stomach. Some food options I saw on their menu aside from the nachos: pulled pork sliders, chicken quesadillas and even a spinach artichoke dip that would have been great to share. They also have cookies! I was grateful that the staff was super chill and allowed me to have a few tastings before deciding on their Golden Glow IPA. I will say that all the ones I was able to sample were delicious so trust.. it was tough to pick one so that's why I ended up going for a second and getting their hazy too. Don't like beer? don't worry.. they also have some wine and cider available. All in all, didn't have too much trouble finding parking, they're dog friend and have tasty beers.. I'll def will be back.

First time visiting Wild Parrot and we had a great experience! The taproom staff was super nice and helpful right from the start. They offered us samples and answered all of our questions before we decided what to order, which I really appreciated. The space itself is a good size, though it feels a little more like a restaurant than a brewery. Personally, I think it would be awesome if they added some couches or lounge style seating along the wall to give it more of a cozy, chill vibe. As for the beer, so good! I had the Hazy IPA and my husband tried the Howdy Cutie Pilsner, and both did not disappoint. We enjoyed the Hazy so much we ended up grabbing a 4-pack to take home. We also ordered the chicken nachos, which were a solid portion, with flavorful chicken that wasn't dry. Super tasty! One thing to note: you can't bring outside food. Our friends brought some not realizing, but the staff was incredibly kind about it, letting them know the rule for next time but still allowing them to eat their food that day. Really thoughtful and accommodating. They also have a patio area in the back parking lot that's perfect if you want to bring your pups along, which is a nice touch. Overall, it's a great spot to hang out with friends, enjoy some good beer, and relax. We'll definitely be back!

Well worth the price!

This location is some what hidden on Colorado Blvd. Its next to the tanning salon. This is also shared with a coffee shop. There are a lot of tables and lounging area inside and two gender neutral restrooms. Parking is located in the back or street parking and it is free. The staff is extremely friendly and was very attentive. I enjoyed my time and found two alcoholic beverages that I actually enjoyed! They have some tables top games for guests to play. The only downside is that there are some tables that aren't that very well lit. They have some power strips if you wanted to work remotely with some wifi. The chairs are not that comfortable, so be prepared to get a numbed butt. They have weekly, and monthly events. Trivia every Tuesday night and a puzzle night every 3rd Wednesday of each month. For the puzzle night, there is a fee to participate and often get filled up fast. The fee comes with 2 drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are included. Their pretzel is a very decent size and we'll worth the price and their food selections are wide. The kitchen closes at 8pm, so order early! I plan on coming back and I enjoyed this establishment.

Wild Parrot Brewing in Pasadena is a lively spot that hosts events like a St. Patrick's Day celebration and an adult book fair--more details can be found on their Instagram. They have private parking in the back, along with outdoor seating. It shares a building with Rose Bud Coffee, though the coffee shop wasn't open when I visited for dinner. People can work there with their laptops, but after a certain time, some tables become laptop-free. They have interesting beer names, like Strata-tat-tat, a West Coast IPA with 7.1% alcohol. It was a solid choice. They also offer beer, wine, cider, and food on the menu, along with four-packs of beer to go. There are plenty of tables, making it a good spot for both large and small groups. The place was busy when I visited, adding to the lively atmosphere. The parrot-themed decor stands out and adds a fun touch.

Good vibe and a nice outdoor area. The servers were really friendly and helpful. Small food menu. Silly Scotty Porter nitro (great) There There California Common (good)

Grabbed a flight and the Hazy was tasty, Oktoberfest dark beer at 6%, had their WC IPA as well. Flight to chase down my mead.

This place is fun and super unique. Beers on Tap, wine and Mead. Had the Cactus Cooler Mead and it was perfection. At 10% ABV and delicious. Not only does this place have food inside, they have games and a coffee shop inside. Their service is Impeccable, the Beertenders are very attentive. Been there twice. Once for their Trivia night and the other visit for their October fest batch. Great brewery

Local watering hole with friendly bartenders who treat you kindly and friendly. The beers are always good and they have bar bites that are tasty. Ample parking on the street and out back. I appreciate that the staff goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcomed and take their time to explain the menu and offerings to everyone.

I would drink at least eight beers here if I could, but that would be irresponsible. One of the the owners; the lady, is pretty foxy.

Is there still a trivia night?

Every Tuesday at 7pm! 🦜🍻🎤

TV's? Show Dodger games or any sports?

Yes! We finally do!

Are pets allowed? If outside only, are there tvs to watch nba championship games?

Hi, yes pets are only allowed on our rear patio. We don’t have a TV out there, so we might not be the best choice for your particular situation.

Is the outdoor patio open at night? And if so, are there heaters?

Hi! The patio is open nightly until 10pm. Unfortunately we are not allowed to have heaters due to the permit we currently have for the outdoor space.

Can you bring outside food?

Sorry no. But we have a menu of delicious food items!

Hello, what was the hazy IPA called today 12/13/22? I really liked it

Hi! So glad you enjoyed it. We named it Hazy IPA #1. Prob will only be around for a few more weeks!

Small joint but they have a few bar seats and picnic tables inside and a nice outdoor patio with more seating. They don't offer food but usually have a food truck outside. There is no food service at this location but they seem to partner with a couple food trucks serving tacos. Some inside open air seating but the main draw is the relaxing patio. I liked their hard seltzers with fun flavors as jicama, tamarindo and passionfruit. I didn't like so much their signature Yerba Mate Pale Ale, but thought it was an interesting concept. The happy hour special is Monday all day and Tuesday-Friday open until 6pm $2 off full pours. Very family friendly, I always see a couple tables with children and dogs at them. Maybe I'm getting to be an old fuddy duddy but I hate when parents let their kids go free range. Screaming and running around like the establishment is a park these kids becoming trip hazards. There needs to be a revamp of their board game collection. There three boxes of games that looked incomplete or used up, not good with such games as Scrabble and Pictionary. Free Wifi with log-in is a bonus!

I went solo but they have tables in tons of sizes so group hangs and dates are good here, too! Personally, I love a good people watching spot and enjoyed hanging out at Stone yesterday afternoon. I grabbed a tall two top in the corner of the outdoor patio and was super relaxed. The staff was great, helping me with recommendations and super quick & generous on the pours. I came in to try a 2016 Imperial Russian Stout I saw they had tapped and ended up trying taster size portions of 6 beers - all very solid. I'm biased to love deep cuts so the 10.6% Imperial Russian Stout was my fav of the day but I also enjoyed the lightness of the Stone Wil Power, a 4.5% fruited kettle sour with mango, tangerine and lychee. They have a ton of indoor seating but also the patio is just so nice & relaxing here. Very chill, quiet vibes and they open at 12pm on weekdays. Perfect atmosphere for work meetings or a liquid lunch meetup. Even the bathroom was cool with colorful grafitti abound. I liked the whole vibe of Stone. It's a cool brewery plopped down in the middle of Pasadena! For non-beer people, a Miller Lite is 4.2% in comparison so why not have a much tastier craft beer in place of that swill! Really enjoyed Stone Brewing in Pasadena and it was a perfect experience. I will absolutely be back!

I'll have to bring mine next time so that I can take some home for the ones that aren't bottled or canned. Parking is readily available underground and it was $1 for us being there almost an hour. What makes 1894 truly special is how intentionally it celebrates literature. Everything in the bar pays homage to the bookstore. The drink menu is full of clever, book-inspired names. You'll find cocktails like Pride and PearJudice Pride, Fifty Shades of Earl Grey, and other fun literary twists. Every drink feels like a little wink to readers, writers, and book lovers, and it adds such a unique charm to the experience. The vibe is super quaint and warm, dim lighting, and a creative atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. The wine is on the pricier side ($19-$21 per glass), but the quality delivers. Customer service was excellent. One of the bartenders spent time chatting with us. He pointed out a chalk artwork behind the bar a dramatic portrait he drew himself featuring expressive, literary-style faces, like Edgar Allan Poe, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, etc. It fits perfectly with the creative, bookish aesthetic of the bar.
