After a nice dinner my friends and I wanted a place to keep hanging out, so we stopped by Hop Secret Brewing Company. This place in an industrial warehouse area, the secret-spot vibe and plenty of parking out front were the main reasons people come here. They have good beer selection, and we tried a few fruity, sweet brews that were tasty. This place is packed with video games, from old school consoles to full size arcade machines, which is the coolest attraction making people keep coming back. No fancy food here, but complimentary popcorn is a welcome bonus. We had a great time and will definitely return next time we are in the area looking for fun and good beer.

Super nice brewery! I loved that they have a little popcorn machine making fresh popcorn while you drink. Sweet decor and entertaining activities. The beertenders are super sweet as well. We went here because it was part of our beer passport. Will definitely come back again :)

I had such a fun time here!! This is a great for a small to medium group of friends. In the back area, they have a plethora of games available. You can play Smash Bros with retro controllers, board games, and the best part - there are 2 arcade game machines which holds a huge variety of vintage arcade games. There's a good amount of seating, and the space is cute and clean. Bathrooms were pretty clean too. Staff was very nice. I enjoyed the selection of beers. This is a business warehouse plaza area so there's lots of available parking. They don't serve food but Lord Empanada is nearby, yum!!

Hop Secret is the universal set on a venn diagram: Geekdom, "catching the game" & craft beer! Big shout out to Monique & Jen for being host, bartender, conversationalists. Very attentive and present for the patrons. Had no idea of what to expect when my people's suggested the joint. Rolling up on the place felt like I was going into some desolate parking lot for a shady exchange but maybe that's the set up to get your mind blown when you actually enter the brewery? The artwork is stellar! If you dig mash ups of anime, fantasy, starwars this place is for you. If you dig 16 bit video games this place is for you. If you dig a solid spread of craft beer that's not overwhelming in any one direction this place is for you. My only two points of contention with the spot is they have that pink liquid soap in the bathroom that completely decimates my hands & they're low on merch! Those T-Shirts are fuego . Please restock ASAP! Besides that I can't stop singing Hop Secrets praises! Family friendly, dog friendly and you can bring your own food! In the words of Djimon Hounsou "I did not know man could build such things." Is Monrovia becoming the next Pasadena? Top notch all around!

Stumbled upon this little gem last night. Small brewery in a warehouse set up located in Monrovia. Each table has old school Nintendo games from sonic, smash bros, mario kart, street fighter, and more. What a great concept! We enjoyed throwing back a few cold ones while recreating some childhood nostalgia. The setup was really cozy and we all had a great time. The beers were solid and well priced. The sour crumble seemed to be the group favorite. Excited to come back again soon!

    Unpasteurized beer to go. Yay!

Extremely welcoming vibes by the owner and beer tender. Everything we tasted was very unique and on point for the style that they were representing. This is truly a neighborhood craft beer gem that I hope more people discover from different parts of LA. I didn't have a "favorite" brew as such, but I think their stout was something pretty unique that you probably won't get anywhere else. Family friendly as well, with a lot of board games, if you're into that. Give them a try, always nice to support local businesses, right? You won't be disappointed, telling ya. It's really a "hop secret," hidden gem! Highly recommend!

We had a really nice time here! The woman at the bar was very friendly and informative. The ambiance is cool- there are old school video games you can play! I like that this place is like a little secret lol you have the find the little entrance in like a warehouse building. It was also dark lol when I went, maybe added to my confusion. The beers we tried were really tasty. We made like a flavored seltzer by mixing two of their drinks, per recommendation of the bar! Chill spot, good vibes. Check them out!

I recently started coming to Hop Secret since I discovered they have beer, they allow dogs, and they got video games. I love the beer, the people, and the services. Also, it seems the majority of the patrons are happy to see my dog, so thats always welcoming. I also enjoy the paintings on the wall.

This place was such a great find! My wife and I had so much fun. She had a flight and really liked the selection of beers. I had a non alcoholic beer which is hard to find in breweries so I was very happy. We played games and enjoyed some video games too. We had good delivered as they do not serve food but have a nice selection of chips and popcorn. The bartender was so friendly! She walked us through the beer selection and just made us feel very welcomed.

Smash brothers and a good brew always a good duo.

I must say that we were blessed to find this hidden gem. The beertenders are always nice and let you sample their menu so you can pick what beer is right for you and let me just say that their beer selection is on point. It is family friendly so we've came a couple times with smaller children and it's a blessing that we get to have fun while they do as well. It helps that they have a big arcade selection and even a Nintendo Wii on site! I was also very pleased with the popcorn machine that makes fresh popcorn and also with all the flavor powders you can season them with; also free! The beertenders are always very attentive and very helpful. I would definitely recommend to make a stop for a brew and a good time!

Really great find. Truly a secret and hidden amongst industrial buildings. Inside is a nice space. You can bring your own food or order food from a pizza spot with free delivery. Just order from the bartender. Inside different craft brews- enjoyed the peachy wheat beer and the tongan stout. My friend ordered pizza for us. They have plenty of tvs and video games and board games to play. I'd come back again

Games for adults and kids and an empty bar on a Saturday. You could easily spend hours here. Beer comes in 10oz or 16oz which is handy. You can order takeout food or pizza. Plenty of options within walking distance.

Jorge came outside multiple times, clearly saw how many people were waiting, and even recorded the crowd on his phone three different times for social media. Knowing the capacity of the restaurant, he could have easily informed everyone that the remaining people in line would likely not get in. Instead, we waited over three hours with no communication. While we were waiting, I repeatedly watched people call Jorge. He would come outside, greet them, and bring them straight inside. I personally saw this happen at least six different times. When it was finally our turn to speak with the host, we were told there were no seats left, that we would have to stand, and that we wouldn't even be able to order food. I confronted Jorge about letting those other groups in ahead of everyone else. His response was that he knew them personally and that they were friends of the restaurant owners. That explanation only made the situation worse. My wife had just finished a 14-hour hospital shift, and we came here hoping to enjoy the game together. Instead, we spent three hours waiting only to be treated as though our time didn't matter. What was most shocking was Jorge's attitude. He literally told me, "They won't do anything to me if you post this. I'm friends with the owner." If that's the mindset of management, it's no surprise customers are treated this way. It truly felt like only friends and family received special treatment while everyone else was left waiting without honesty or respect. I have no issue waiting when things are busy, but I do expect transparency, fairness, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience showed none of those qualities.

There's a parking lot dedicated to the big shopping plaza that Yard House is located in. They have a 90 minute free parking with validation. My group and I went around 3:30 and there were a lot of people seated and waiting for seats. Although their restaurant is pretty big, the hostess did mention that they only had 3 waiters working so a lot of sections were closed off. We were seated within 10 minutes of waiting. We browsed the happy hour menu and ordered pretty quickly after sitting down. Our food all came out one by one. It was pretty decent for the price. We ordered 3 appetizers and the total came out to be ~$35. Appetizers: Poke Nachos (7.4/10): There's a good amount of tuna fish layered on top of the nachos. I really liked the wonton chips they use for this dish since it's a lot lighter than a regular tortilla chip. There's three different types of sauce that they drizzle on top for the nachos. There's a good amount of sweetness and spice between all the sauces. I just wish there were more fish and avocados. Chicken Tenders and Fries (7/10): This one is just your average chicken tenders with fries. It came with 5 tenders and a small basket of fries. The dipping sauces included ranch and honey mustard. This wasn't the same honey mustard I was used to and it had a sour taste to it. The chicken was crispy and had good seasoning in the batter. The fries weren't that good. It was soggy and didn't have any crisp to it. Chicken Nachos (6/10): This one was a heavy on the stomach dish. There's two different types of salsa, cheese, beans, and then a scoop of guac and sour cream in the middle. They used a tortilla chip instead of wonton chips for this dish. Everything felt like a mouthful.
