This local brewery is hidden away on Commercial Ave along San Gabriel Blvd. The space is actually quite large with indoor and outdoor seating. They offer an ube beer called Haliya ($5 for 10oz), where you can even add boba in it for extra. It's a chill spot to grab a drink after work or hang with friends. They have a small food menu, which includes a happy hour deal of a hot dog with a beer. Also, dog-friendly which is always a plus.

The space is casual and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed afternoon hang or catching up with friends. Staff was friendly and happy to offer recommendations. Easy spot to unwind without the pretentious brewery feel -- I'd definitely come back.

Ube beer - good flavor

Ube beer?!! I'm not a fan of beer, but this was not bad. I like the vibes here and how spacious it is. Trivia nights every Friday is fun, but they should have speakers at various angles because it's tough to hear in the corner near the patio entrance (all the other tables were taken by the time we got in just before 8pm.) Would be interested to try their food. Since they have a kitchen now, you aren't allowed to bring in outside food unless it's Mon-Wed when their kitchen is closed.

I enjoyed their rotating seasonal options -- super fresh and well-balanced. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, happy to make recommendations if you're not sure what to try. It can get a little crowded at peak times, but that just adds to the lively atmosphere. Parking is a bit tight, but once you're inside, it's worth it. Overall, a great brewery to grab a flight, hang out with friends, and try something different. Definitely coming back!

The short story: I've never had a beer here I didn't like--or at the very least, respect. The lineup is inventive but still tips its hat to the classics. Into a crisp lager, traditional IPA, or juicy hazy? They've got you. Feeling adventurous and craving something exotic or globally inspired? Also covered. Honestly, if you're a beer fan, this place is a no-brainer. And if you're not a beer fan... what are you doing here? Go drink a Fresca in shame, you weirdo. They've got food, too, though the menu is on the smaller side. Definitely check kitchen hours (weekends for sure), and sometimes there's a food truck out front. The in-house eats are simple but solid--flat-top sandwiches, a few snacks. The turkey melt? Surprisingly excellent. The pretzels? Straight out of the freezer, the kind you could score at a movie theater--so maybe skip those unless you're also craving overpriced popcorn. The space itself is bright, modern, and spacious. Music's low enough that you can actually talk without shouting, and seating options abound: indoors, outdoors, or on the covered patio. Plenty of hangout zones depending on your mood and the weather. Just a heads-up: it's tucked at the end of a cul-de-sac with limited parking, so you'll probably end up on the street. But hey--you're about to down a few pints, so the extra steps count as cardio. Balance restored.

A simple, nice Brewery with a fun name, a nice sized patio, great open space and kid and pet friendly. You order at the front with the friendly staff, grab a taster a sampler, a snack and a board game, find a seat and after making your drink choice enjoy your brew. They have co-ed restrooms, the street parking is limited and the place tends to get hot so dress accordingly. Cheers!

I tried different brews and liked the Sharlie the most (Hazy IPA). It's a very chill place to hang out as it is not very crowded. Feel free to ask for samples whenever they have some new brews and you're not sure what to get. They allow you to bring outside food as well.

turkey melt was really good

They have a good selection of beer. Although they have a small food menu, the food was fire! I tried the turkey melt and quesabirria. Both were tasty, especially the melt. They paired well with my drinks. The service was efficient. Everything came out on time. The place is nice and decent in size. They have outdoor seating and an area by the entrance where you can catch a breeze or people watch. There's parking but it can fill up quickly during peak hours.

Catching up with friends here and it was a lovely afternoon to sit in the patio area. Parking is still wherever you can find a spot :) Staff members are friendly and the place still has a very chill vibe. Pets are welcomed! They also have a food menu and you can place your order at the bar. For drinks...ordered the Haliya this time around and it was yummy. Gotta get that ube and coconut!

4++ Great brewery that feels located a little off the beaten path (coming from someone who is not really familiar with this particular area. There's a good selection of beers on tap and the beertenders were very friendly. The space itself is really nice. Feels like it's been open for onfly a few years at most. Really great place for groups or just to catch up with someone. A buddy of mine knew of this place and he was getting out of a conference in the area. I also happened to be in the area so we decided to meet up here. Ordered a couple of the IPAs and sat down at one of the plentiful seats/ tables. There were some interesting bottles for sale, but at this point (or the time of my visit) I just had too many bottles at home. I wish I could have tried some of the heavier, darker beers on tap, but they were only available in the bottles at the time. Maybe next time!

Thank you to my daughter for taking me here. Had a good beer for dinner and craved more. My wife wanted me to hit a supermarket and go home to drink... My daughter and I wanted to PARTY! We won, lol. Quality/Quantity - Had and sampled the following: Haliya - Ale with ube and coconut, the flavors were very pronounced, in a good way. Too bad I do not like these flavors in my beer, next. Drudge - I started my night with this as I was working my way up, lol. This was okay. Sharlie - Hazy IPA, this was so smooth and drinkable, too smooth. My favorite of the 3 beers. Mommy Long Legs - I believe a Hazy Triple IPA, again drinkable. I think I ended the night with this... Yakumama - Similar to above but even a stronger/higher alcohol beer. I chose not to get this as this was going to be my 4th beer and I wanted something slightly lighter. Atmosphere - Cool space. Both indoor and outdoor. Got here for Bingo night, unplanned. But Major (that's his name) was so welcoming and engaging, we decided to play. And because we won 3 games, I ended up drinking 3 beers, lol. We only came here for 1 beer, but bingo kept us here until closing! Clean unisex bathrooms, I especially liked the beer label wallpaper. If I had a man cave, that would be my decor! Limited parking, but not an issue for a Thursday Bingo night. Service - 5 stars. Both Major and the bartender were cool, inviting, welcoming, etc. Price - $25 + generous tip. I was tipsy by the time I left, pun intended. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2018, we will be regular customers!

I need to add pictures of the size of the pretzel. It didn't get added when I did my review the first time.

This is one of the few breweries located in the SGV! I love coming here bc it's so local. There's limited parking in the back. There's a lot of seating inside and much more outside. The vibes are here and you can definitely bring a large group here or chill with a date / small group. They have a good variety of beers to try on tap. Staff were friendly.

Ask the Community - Ogopogo Brewing

Is trivia on Fridays still happening? ** If so, what time does it start?

Yes

Is it dog friendly?

Yes, there is an outdoor patio.

When are the TVs coming? It'll be really cool if you showed football or basketball games?

NO TVs!! ugh

Do they serve food?

No but sometimes they have food trucks

Are you open for outdoor visit now? What days and food options available?

Hi Minh, yes we are opening our patio on Wednesday from 4-9

Are kids allowed?

Yes, kids are allowed. There's a train table and games for you to borrow!

Can I bring a growler to fill?

I stopped in awhile back and they didn't fill growlers. Instead they do crowlers. Kinda sad as it breaks with tradition... kinda rad as it keeps beer longer at home.

Is there free Wi-Fi and/ or outlets to study there?

Hi Christina, Yes we have outlets and free wifi, studiers welcome!

Are dogs allowed?

Hi James, Yes dogs are allowed

Are there any TVs to watch football games?

i haven't been in 3 months, but as of then, they didn't and indicated they didn't want the place to become a sports bar, wanted it to be a place people just enjoyed beer for its sake.

Do they serve wine too?

No, Beer only.

Can you bring your own food?

Hi Dee, Yes outside food is welcome

The Brewery has a large parking lot however it gets full pretty quickly, if you get lucky you can also find some parking in the neighborhood street adjacent, or there is street parking for 2 hours on the main street. Yesterday was a pretty packed day, the main back patio with umbrellas was packed with people as there was an artist doing doggy portraits on that side. The back patio is disconnected from the brewery so you have to walk back and forth if you want to refill. I would say that side is more in the sun, so even with umbrellas it's a bit hotter on that side. The brewery is pretty cool inside, they have two separate bars to order from, one is the Beer bar, and one is the coffee/tea/ other things bar. I tried their Shibuya rice lager which was ice cold and very refreshing for a hot day. Our group also ordered the Really big pretzel, and Nachos which were pretty delicious. Finally, there is the front patio which faces the main street, and was fully in the shade. It is quite small with about 4 tables, but the sidewalk has quite a bit of foot traffic, and this is where we were able to set up camp with the fosters to mingle and meet with people who wanted to meet the doggies. When a breeze goes by, it is so refreshing and it's pretty nice on that front patio! I love that Wild Parrot Brewing company is dog friendly and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. There are two bars - cider bar and beer bar. They are separated by the patio area and both have different vibes, which is really cool. The music was nice when I was there. There are also screens with sports playing, which is a big bonus. The calendar on their website also shows all the events and even the food vendors, which is convenient. I had the pilsner and it was delicious. Haven't tried the ciders yet but definitely looks good, and it's something you don't see often. The place itself has a really cool vibe, kind of an old brick, industrial style that gives it character. We had a private outdoor room in the back, which was a great setup for a party. They also had games available, which added to the fun. For a Saturday night around 7:30-8:00 p.m., it wasn't overly crowded, There was plenty of parking, and most of the staff were welcoming, attentive, and quick with service. Drink prices were reasonable too,. The only downside, and honestly a big one for me, is the food situation. If you want food, You're required to order from the restaurant next door due to their contract (according to security at the door), and the prices are pretty steep. For example, $32 for 12 chicken wings with no sides just didn't sit right with me. We asked if we could bring in outside food (we were craving pizza), but security said no until the restaurant closes, which was too late for us. Because of that restriction, I probably wouldn't return. It's unfortunate, because the place itself has good vibes and a lot of potential. If they allowed more flexibility with food options, it would make a big difference.

The happy hour special is Monday all day and Tuesday-Friday open until 6pm $2 off full pours. Very family friendly, I always see a couple tables with children and dogs at them. Maybe I'm getting to be an old fuddy duddy but I hate when parents let their kids go free range. Screaming and running around like the establishment is a park these kids becoming trip hazards. There needs to be a revamp of their board game collection. There three boxes of games that looked incomplete or used up, not good with such games as Scrabble and Pictionary.
