Great prices on select appetizers and drinks, so naturally, this was the perfect place. Parking is also a win! There's a designated Yard House parking area with 90 minutes free with validation, which made getting here one less thing to worry about. Ambiance is dark... perfect spot for vampires to hangout at. I got my usual Piña Colada, which was just okay, but then I tried the Woodchuck Blueberry and WOW! I don't even drink beer, but this one was surprisingly delicious and VERY drinkable. Apparently, I have a beer alter ego. But the real star of the show was the Truffle Mushroom Pizza!!!! This was my first time trying it and OMG... I wanted another one! The truffle gave the pizza that rich, earthy, savory, slightly garlicky flavor with that unmistakable "fancy forest" aroma. Combined with the mushrooms and melty cheese, it was absolutely YUMMMM! And a HUGE shoutout to Ashley, who took care of our party of 18!!!! That is no small task when you have 18 people ordering, talking, eating and probably changing their minds every five minutes. We needed a quick place to meet and eat with a friend. Yard House was it. We were greeted with no smile and we had to greet the host. Okay. Maybe an off day. We were seated and our server was bubbly and friendly. We ordered the Philly sandwich the orange chicken and the cilantro like chicken. Amazing happy hour deals! I saw so many TikToks raving about how good the happy hour deals were at Yard House! Parking was pretty easy! There's a parking lot dedicated to the big shopping plaza that Yard House is located in. They have a 90 minute free parking with validation. My group and I went around 3:30 and there were a lot of people seated and waiting for seats. Although their restaurant is pretty big, the hostess did mention that they only had 3 waiters working so a lot of sections were closed off. We were seated within 10 minutes of waiting. We browsed the happy hour menu and ordered pretty quickly after sitting down. Our food all came out one by one. It was pretty decent for the price. We ordered 3 appetizers and the total came out to be ~$35. Appetizers: Poke Nachos (7.4/10): There's a good amount of tuna fish layered on top of the nachos. I really liked the wonton chips they use for this dish since it's a lot lighter than a regular tortilla chip. There's three different types of sauce that they drizzle on top for the nachos. There's a good amount of sweetness and spice between all the sauces. I just wish there were more fish and avocados. Chicken Tenders and Fries (7/10): This one is just your average chicken tenders with fries. It came with 5 tenders and a small basket of fries. The dipping sauces included ranch and honey mustard. This wasn't the same honey mustard I was used to and it had a sour taste to it. The chicken was crispy and had good seasoning in the batter. The fries weren't that good. It was soggy and didn't have any crisp to it. Chicken Nachos (6/10): This one was a heavy on the stomach dish. There's two different types of salsa, cheese, beans, and then a scoop of guac and sour cream in the middle. They used a tortilla chip instead of wonton chips for this dish. Just had a nice lunch here with a friend from out of town. I had the poke salad, and while it was tasty, it's not filling (especially for a $24 price point), so just be aware of that if you're starving like I was lol. It was on the salad menu, but saying the toppings were on a bed of lettuce would be giving the dish too much credit. It was more like a handful of lettuce underneath and that was it. My GF got the ahi salad off the salad menu and hers looked like an actual salad with plentiful lettuce. Only reason for the 4/5 is all of this! I tried one of the 7% "sour" beers on tap, not sure what to expect. I thought maybe sour meant kombucha-like aftertaste. It was KIND OF like that, but in a good way, not in a vinegar tasting way. First time visiting the Yard House location in Pasadena with my boyfriend and it's officially our favorite. We'll absolutely be back soon! It was busy (as expected), and we waited about 20-25 minutes after checking in, which honestly wasn't bad at all. The vibes were welcoming from start to finish. My friend and I sat at the bar and we had awful service. Our server hardly ever came to check on us and we had to flag her down several times when she walked by when we wanted to order more or get a refill. She wasn't very friendly and almost seemed unhappy to help us. She never returned to close us out to where another person did since we were waiting awhile. He was really nice. They had tv screens that showed the same channel. I used the restroom after I was shown my table. When I came back and took a look at the menu, no one came by to greet me. A few people walked by, all wearing black, I couldn't tell who was a runner or a server. On the table, there was a little device where you can look at the menu, pay, or play games on it. There was a little button that I assumed was the call service for the server to come and assist you. I pressed that and shortly after, the server came and greeted me. Our bartender, Drewski, was a delight: attentive, checking in often, asking for honest feedback, and making sure our drinks were strong and filled to the brim. We started with a lemon drop and fried calamari with jalapeño tartar sauce the flavor was great, but the breading kept falling off, which was a little disappointing. For our entrée, we had the lobster noodles. While the lobster and shrimp were generous, the lobster seemed overcooked and the noodles were clumped together it made it hard to enjoy. Overall, the ambience, bartending, and drinks exceeded expectations. The food, especially at $38 for pasta and $160 total bill, fell short. The kitchen felt rushed, and that impacted the meal. I did notice they have outdoor dining. They do validate parking if you park at the structure. I'm not sure if there's a time limit though. We ordered two weeks in a row for work. The first time we picked up the food was ready to go & we didn't have to wait long. The second time they were still working on some (we placed 8 orders), but it didn't take that long, (maybe 10 min). Both times the ladies and manager were nice, the greeted us as soon as we walked in. The first order most of us ordered from the kids menu and the meal comes with the drinks. Some ordered the sliders and they said they were pretty good. One other person ordered edamame & it was soooo good. Most of us got the steak, it was okay. Not our favorite. It was a small portion, it's already cut for you, the fries were okay too, not the best (but it could be because they were cold by the time we got back to the office). My other coworker had a salad, not sure which one, but she said it was good and she would order it again. They have Coke products, not Pepsi. Very Disappointed Our experience at Yard House Pasadena was extremely uncomfortable. Our server, BERNIE, was completely different with us than she was with the other customers. She was smiling and talking with everyone else, while with us she barely spoke and had a noticeable attitude. We ordered our beers and waited patiently, but I eventually had to speak up just to order our chicken nachos because she never checked on us. She then brought the check before I had even ordered our food. What really made me uncomfortable was when she stood directly in front of us without saying anything and made a place setting with the napkin/plate right in front of me. I was the only person at the bar who received that treatment. It made me feel singled out and completely out of place. Another server kept coming by asking if we were okay, which made the whole situation feel even more uncomfortable. I'm honestly very disappointed and pissed about the experience. We were invited to the Yard House for dinner with the family. This was my first time at the Yard House and loved the decor and setup. There was plenty of parking available because they had a couple of parking garages within blocks of each other on the main. We walked into the Yard House and the restaurant was huge. In the middle of the restaurant was a big, bar that looked like it had over a hundred taps. With that being said, they have a full bar with many variety of YH cocktails and wine. The bar was spacious enough to actually eat at the bar. At night, you could see the restaurant would be perfectly set for a gathering with some pals. I loved all of the TV screens with my favorite sports playing - hockey, golf and baseball. We had a party of six and the booths were huge! There was plenty of elbow room for each person. You can probably fit eight comfortably or even ten people. The lighting throughout the restaurant is dim and can be intimate at night. We definitely want to return for a nice romantic dinner. They had great music playing but we were just happy to be able to watch hockey, golf and baseball from all different angles. You have a great view of the TVs. They're posted above and around the bar so you had a great view no matter where you were sitting in the restaurant. The staff was very pleasant, attentive and friendly when we walked in. There was no wait for as huge as this restaurant was and if so, I'm sure we'd be able to have a drink at the bar while we waited. Our server was Andrew and he was awesome from the time we arrived until the time we left. Super attentive, knowledgeable and had great suggestions. At every table, they had table-side, POS devices so you can order and pay at the table. The devices had their entire menu uploaded in them along with photos. I loved that! Great portions to pricing ratio. Very communal dining. The Calamari was soft, lightly crispy and succulent. Their marinara and the white dipping sauce, which seemed horseradish based, was delicious. It was hard to not fill up on both! The brussel sprouts had a roasted garlic taste with an Asian glaze. Because I ate most of the appetizers, I ordered a light dinner entree - the Whiskey Glazed Salmon and the Mister had a Carnivore Pizza. My salmon was juicy and cooked just right. It came with Parmesan mashed potatoes and a side of roasted broccoli rabe and carrots. Just perfect! The Mister's pizza had a light crust and was East Coast style - thin but you can fold it and have no problem losing toppings because it's not soggy. The dough was super soft and the crust had that breadstick texture so you won't be cracking any teeth. Presentation was awesome for the Onion Ring Tower. Tower is the perfect word for these o-rings. They literally were stacked high like a giant Fisher Price Rock-a-Stack toddler toy so they were easy to pass around. Everything we ordered always had awesome dipping sauces with it. Man, I really like this place. Their jumbo wings came with celery sticks and a ramekin of ranch which tasted homemade. The Yard House would be perfect for drinks and munchies with the crew and I literally wanted everything on their Appetizer menu. Next time, I'm just going to order the Calamari or the Blackened Ahi Tuna Sashimi as my entree! LOL The In-laws said the Wisconsin Cheese Curds are the best here. You won't go wrong at the Yard House because they'll have something for everyone! Food is super delicious My wine is fantastic The service is top notch The ambience is perfect level of conversations. The last time I came to a Yard House was back in Atlanta at the Atlantic Station on my bday.. I thought I was the Ish that day with my little fur coat on drinking so much vampire wine.
