Was supposed to come here for the bar next to it but it was closed, but was pleasantly surprised by this bar. We came a day before Christmas Eve and they had karaoke night. The vibes were fun and the flights were good, and strong. We got some food as well, I enjoyed the pretzel to help absorb the alcohol. Not a fan of the tots...I think it needs salsa or more sauce. The service was great.

Beer pong, Connect 4, and a disco ball... what more could you want?

Super friendly service. Food is great too. Happy hour prices make it a no brainer. Def a great low key option in old town

This is a cool little spot to check out for either boxing or ufc events, grab some food with your friends and have a drink or two or three lol. The place is pretty big with the main bar area at the entrance, an outside patio section and a small bar downstairs. The servers and owner are always friendly and they are pretty good at checking to see if you need another drink. We haven't been to check out a fight in a while but we recently stopped by after a hike on a Sunday to grab a bite to eat. The cool thing about Sunday brunches at Der Wolf is, it isn't crowded and they have a DJ who plays some dope music. As for the food, I ordered the huevos rancheros and a black berry mocktail. The food was delicious and definitely something I would order again. However, I wasn't really feeling the drink. I've never had a mocktail and I had no idea what I was drinking but it did taste exactly like a cocktail with no alcohol. It's not their fault, I'm just not a fan of it. Overall, it's a fun place to hang out and I did notice that some of the table (cloths?) were ripped, so just remember it is a bar. However, the place is clean, people are friendly and you're there to just eat and have a good time (nothing fancy or romantic). they also have a beer pong table in the middle of the place so it's always fun to watch drunk people playing and dancing. Great friendly & professional service. Clean, not too dark, fun! With good selection in tap & good food. Great happy hour! I Came to hear Scott Rocco play on Monday night & was pleasantly impressed with the acoustics! Wonderful live performance!

Stopped by on Sunday, 07/06/25 to watch the Mexico vs USA soccer game (Mexico Won!). Grabbed some drinks and my boyfriend got them for free as he apparently had rewards. This is the second time I've been here and this place is super duper special to me :)

    Not full mimosas

We visited to celebrate my sister's birthday and had made a reservation on Tuesday for Sunday brunch. We were informed that the birthday booth was reserved for our party of ten; however, upon arrival, we were told it had been given to another group. They had no other area to accommodations suit our party size, and we were instead seated in a corner. Unfortunately, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the miscommunication, and the situation was presented as if it were our error. The service declined further from that point. Several members of our group got bottomless mimosas, yet refills were consistently missed. We had to repeatedly approach the bar ourselves, and even then, the drinks were not fully poured. Overall, the level of service was very disappointing. The only positive aspect of the experience was the food, which was genuinely very good.

Okay bar/restaurant in the area! Came by with a friend after a stressful day and it was an okay experience, drinks were good ,but the food was pretty mid nothing specifically stood out to me. Service was also okay it took a little longer than I would have liked for it being empty but I believe the serve might have been alone so I understand.

I came here due to a mixer but wow. The whole bar is a vibe. They have karaoke, great drinks, the service is top-tier. I can't complain. I'd go for every event they have. It was incredible.

Service is always great but when my brother and I decided to try the loaded tots... WOW! Definitely did not disappoint. Highly recommend!

Went to Der Wolf on a Friday afternoon to check out the happy hour menu. The two of us ordered sausage plate, wolf burger and a Hef to share. The Hef was served in a tall beer glass and it's awesome as expected. The sausage plate has 3 types of sausage and they are all way too salty... maybe so people can order beer? We didn't really enjoy it. I ordered the burger medium well but it's more like medium/medium well. The fries were really good though. The Friday afternoon we were there , the whole old town Pasadena was filled with Iowa Hawkeye fans. The bar was understaffed. But it seemed like a nice spot to hang out.

Yesterday was a pretty packed day, the main back patio with umbrellas was packed with people as there was an artist doing doggy portraits on that side. The back patio is disconnected from the brewery so you have to walk back and forth if you want to refill. I would say that side is more in the sun, so even with umbrellas it's a bit hotter on that side. The brewery is pretty cool inside, they have two separate bars to order from, one is the Beer bar, and one is the coffee/tea/ other things bar. I tried their Shibuya rice lager which was ice cold and very refreshing for a hot day. Our group also ordered the Really big pretzel, and Nachos which were pretty delicious. Finally, there is the front patio which faces the main street, and was fully in the shade. It is quite small with about 4 tables, but the sidewalk has quite a bit of foot traffic, and this is where we were able to set up camp with the fosters to mingle and meet with people who wanted to meet the doggies. Anyway, that didn't stop us from ordering food and drinks. As for food, they have starters, burgers & sandwiches, salads, and desserts. As for drinks, they have domestic bottles, craft bottles, import bottles, hard seltzers, wine, beverage, and more. I went all out and got 2 orders of 12 chicken wings each for $21 which is quite steep if you ask me. I asked for 6 wings per flavor... buffalo, sweet chili, mango habanero, garlic parmesan. The wings weren't that big. For that price, you would think the wings would be bigger. Anyway, taste and flavor was amazing though. Perfectly fried and crispy! Sauce was delish!! My favorite was the sweet chili. Yum, yum! I also got a buffalo chicken salad (delicious) plus an order of onion rings (light and crispy)... these were very good! I would order the onion rings again. Another colleague ordered a pitcher of hawaiian or luau blonde (sorry I forget the name). I normally don't drink, but I did entertain one glass of this blonde. It was actually very light and refreshing. Thank you sir for sharing! The lady staff (Kristen) who took my food order was very nice and pleasant. Thank you miss for the amazing service! As for the gentleman who I believe worked here, too, he could improve in offering better service IMHO. Anyway, our group enjoyed the good eats and had a great time. Different sport games were on TV for customers to watch. We caught a basketball game between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers. I'm not a basketball fan, but the game was so enticing and nerve-wrecking at the end... it got me cheering! LOL I probably won't return here by myself, but I would return here with my work colleagues. Let the good times roll!

When we walked in, there was a tall, bald male bartender and a blonde female bartender working--neither of whom I've seen here before. We ordered two drinks, but the service from the male bartender was inattentive from the start. At one point, my friend tried to get someone's attention to ask for a lime and wasn't acknowledged. She ended up grabbing a lime herself from the garnish tray--which I understand isn't ideal--but the response we got was completely out of line. The male bartender became immediately hostile and started aggressively cursing at my friend. When I calmly asked the female bartender if this was normal behavior, he inserted himself into the conversation and said, "she put her fucking hand in the fucking jar," in a very confrontational tone. I tried to de-escalate the situation and respectfully explained that there was no reason to speak to us that way, but he continued the hostility and ultimately told us to "get the fuck out." At that point, I paid for our drinks and we left. What made this especially disappointing is that this has never been our experience here before. We've always enjoyed this bar and have had positive interactions with the regular staff. If this had been my first visit, I would not come back. I understand that what my friend did wasn't appropriate, but it absolutely did not justify being yelled at and cursed out. I hope management addresses this, because this kind of behavior is not reflective of the bar I've come to know.

That said, when I'm in a Pub I tend to go for Guinness or some kind of 1/2 & 1/2, and this time I chose Smithwick's with a Guinness topper. My bartender, Sarah, proffered a perfect poor, with a smile and a laugh, and I was ready for a good time. The menu is packed with traditional pub favorites plus other general sandwiches and salads, etc. I decided on their Reuben, which is built with Corned Beef, Swiss, Sauerkraut, both Russian AND Mustard, and it's served with fresh cut Fries. The sandwich was hearty and generously made, with flavorful corned beef boasting all the best of the pickling spices without too much salt -- the cook knows how to balance flavors. The sauerkraut and melty Swiss provided a rich, acidic contrast to the beef, an effect echoed by the blending of Russian with Brown Mustard. Then there was the bread -- an artisan rye with good flavor, appealing texture and just the right amount of fresh seeds to let you know this bread came from an oven not a bag. Fries were hand cut, as advertised, arriving hot and crispy with just the right dusting of salt -- a perfect match for the Reuben. This being Monday night, it was quiet on Colorado Blvd., and the restaurant had only a few people at dinner time. While this was a laid-back visit, I'm well aware the place can get busy and boisterous when people descend on their back-alley entrance, and it's hard to know which scenario would be better: the high energy pulse or the calm conversation. I haven't been to Lucky Baldwin's Pub since my old town bar hoping days and was looking forward to a great St. Patrick's Day corned beef and cabbage meal. On the phone and in person the lady taking my order was very nice and helpful. When I asked if the corned beef and cabbage was a hearty portion she said yes, I will be satisfied. But when I received my order I was fully disappointed. Two small pieces of corned beef, bland tasteless cabbage, 1 small potato that was sliced into 4 pieces, and 3 slivers of a carrot. The cabbage was slightly chewy and did not have any flavor. It seemed like they boiled it without any spices. The potatoes and carrots were cooked great but also lacked any flavor. They added some type of white sauce, which I think was a very watered down, tasteless gravy. While the corned beef itself was delicious, the fact that for $20 I got two small pieces was unacceptable. Especially after I was told they have a hearty portion. I really wanted to give this place a good review because of the good memories, welcoming staff and fun ambiance, but to capitalize on a holiday by charging $20 for a small portion, they deserve the one star.
