Der Wolf was such a fun time. I was there for a meeting/ girls night on a Tuesday night and the whole place had a really great energy. There were games on TV, but also people actively playing interactive games like Flip Cup and other group games, which made the whole atmosphere feel really social and engaging. Honestly, it felt like the kind of place that encourages real connection and community, something that's needed now more than ever. The space is large enough where you can comfortably have conversations while still feeling the lively atmosphere around you. The back patio is also a huge plus, especially in Pasadena where the weather is beautiful most of the year. Service was attentive, the food and drinks were both great, and overall it just felt like a welcoming community spot. She was condescending to others employees and had somewhat of an attitude towards us, which I now interpret as she actually was annoyed with her coworkers incompetence. The food was even worse than the service. The wings were so hard they were inedible. Water cups were disposable plastic. The sauces are prepackaged ketchup and ranch. However, they do have other menu options that looked better (I will have to try next time). The bartender was really nice and the bar has a great selection of beers and cocktails. Came here for Mother's Day brunch. Was real excited to know they serve 19$ bottomless mimosas here. We arrived at 10:30 and had reservations for 11am. We got seated almost immediately which I liked considering it was earlier than our reservation time. On the menu they had 3 different flavor mimosas which were orange, mango & pineapple. For food, I ordered the steak and eggs the eggs were cooked perfectly but were very oily. Steak was good too & I really enjoyed their breakfast potatoes. Service was great. The guy bar tender was great. The girl was a little focused on phone. We initially came for a different place that opens later in the evening which was not advertised appropriately. Well, first your advertisement on fb is very appealing. If I had looked closer I would have noticed you cater to a younger demographic. Personally I like a good mimosa flight and that's what attracted me. Suggestions only: The doors (glass)should be cleaned; the entrance to a business should be. Let me start up by saying the location has been changed many times in PASADENA. I thought I'd give us a try cause on Instagram the photos and liveliness seemed great with just what the girls and I were looking for. I made a reservation online which they charged five dollars to hold a table. The only thing they had available was at 10:30 AM which when we arrived the place was empty. They also give you 2 1/2 hour time limit at a table which it's not all you can eat so I can't really figure why they would do that. We were not greeted with the warm customer service you would expect from a restaurant as lively as this was supposed to be especially being in PASADENA I'm pretty much a prime location. The manager is not very inviting and then was a very rude. Apparently we were not the only ladies that experienced the same thing. At first we thought the bartender was not very friendly but she ended up being fantastic. The food is not good. I would never go back for the food but the drinks were pretty reasonably priced that's really the only thing they can say good about this place and the bartender that was working. As we were leaving walking out down the street my friends and I were talking about the manager. A woman who is in the restaurant asked us were you talking about the manager and also said that he was very rude to them. I am not sure how placed with a manager who is rude to customers can survive without good food as well. If you see this post on Instagram don't fall for what it looks like on there because that's not the case. I did not want to be rude because I want to support but you can tell that the quality is not like it used to be even though we were first timers. Drink deals are amazing and so is the staff . Its kind of hard to write a review on this because I went on a Sunday night. So for what it was that day I'm going to automatically give it a 5 star review only because I knew I was missing out on Friday and Saturday events. I didn't have any food, but the drinks are made well there, so you do get what you pay for in that aspect. The place is pretty big with the main bar area at the entrance, an outside patio section and a small bar downstairs. I've never had a mocktail and I had no idea what I was drinking but it did taste exactly like a cocktail with no alcohol. It's not their fault, I'm just not a fan of it. I've came here multiple times I've never have had a bad experience. The security in the front is polite as long as you don't act a fool they do do pat downs on men and do search women. The crowd is usually an older crowd so there's less drama there's a downstairs level for private parties. We were informed that the birthday booth was reserved for our party of ten; however, upon arrival, we were told it had been given to another group. They had no other area to accommodations suit our party size, and we were instead seated in a corner. Unfortunately, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the miscommunication, and the situation was presented as if it were our error. The service declined further from that point. Several members of our group got bottomless mimosas, yet refills were consistently missed. We had to repeatedly approach the bar ourselves, and even then, the drinks were not fully poured. The Hef was served in a tall beer glass and it's awesome as expected. The sausage plate has 3 types of sausage and they are all way too salty... maybe so people can order beer? When the restaurant opened the basement immediately filled up. Melissa M was our server for the entire basement. She was so attentive and gave everyone amazing service. I noticed that not one person down there had a dry cup, she was on top of refills and food orders for everyone. We ordered wings, a giant pretzel and a cheese burger. The wings were well done (per melissa's suggestion) and they were perfectly crisp. The pretzel was delicious and soft on the inside. The beer cheese that came with the pretzel was AMAZING! I wish there was more cheese because the pretzel was really big, there was not enough cheese for the size of that thing. The cheese burger also really really good. We had beers, margarita flight and mexican candy shots. The bartender was also very busy but took time to greet everyone. Drinks were delicious and came fairly quickly. What a great experience!!
