Bar CDMX is a very nice bar to be at! If you've ever been to Mexico City this place really captures the essence of being there. The drinks are nicely crafted and reasonably priced. The service is also quick and the staff are friendly. What I didn't like about this location is that it was too packed for comfort. I don't think it's their fault that they are that popular but the bar can do a better job of limiting people so that it's not a nightmare to even move around in there. They do play good Spanish music as well but its just too packed for it to be enjoyable. I also think its great that they are serving tacos near the entrance. I'd like to return at a time that is not so packed so I can get the full experience. read more

Cute little spot in the heart of dtla. The vibes are immaculately CDMX. Theres some murals, papel picado, pinball machines, a Photo Booth, and a pool table. From what I gather there's a taco guy right outside the front door that starts around 6pm. I had to leave and didn't get to try the tacos. Great little place if you're looking to enjoy some Cafe Tacvba or some Elli Guerra with your beer and tacos. No private parking, best to come on foot via the metro or the bus. read more

This place used to be Mas Malo before it was Bar CDMX. Similar concept but different energy. CDMX is very lively. Great place to stop by for a drink or two before heading out to your next spot. Gets very packed on Saturdays so either come relatively early (9pm) or prepare to wait in line for entry (line moves rather quickly). It is underground and it does get pretty hot (yes, they have AC). Their cocktail menu wasn't very exciting to me so I opted for some cold beers. Live DJ has some good tunes: Spanish pop, rock en español and some hip hop. All in all, cute little joint. TIP: if the line is too long of a wait, I recommend you visit seventh and grand which is located on the second floor of this building. Usually no wait and cocktails options are better prepared. If you're a smoker, there's a smoking patio as well. read more

I visited bar cdmx for a friends birthday, the drinks were good for the price they charge, honestly hard to find a place with drinks this cheap nowadays. While I appreciate the drinks, I found it funny to say they have arcade machines when there are like 3 machines? If you are looking for an arcade bar, I wouldn't go there. There is a smaller pool table for people to enjoy. Music does get very loud later the night. Parking was hard to come by which is probably why it was pretty empty on a Friday night. I'm not complaining There is a single pool table that's takes quarters and is located by the entrance. Across from the bar there are spacious booths that could seat small to medium sized parties. At the back of the bar, by the restrooms, there is a couch and a couple arcade games. The barista was very helpful with drink suggestions based on my preferred taste. Drinks were very balanced in terms of flavor and strength, for a good price too! I went to Bar CDMX with a friend for a drink. I had decent time until I felt that I was treated in a discriminatory way by the manager Chelsea Crowe. I've frequented this bar before and have never had any issues or problems until that night. She spoke at me in a supremest tone, condescending to me as I was only intelligent enough to purchase my drinks. Her hostility and contempt towards me, a black woman, sounded personal. If she's a racist managing a primarily Latino bar in downtown LA then the owners really need to find someone that's a better fit for the neighborhood clientele. read more

Then we went to another bar, and it had people but not quite the vibe I was looking for. So then we went to Bar CDMX--and the third time was the charm. I had found my spot to celebrate Blackout Wednesday, and it was a welcome arrival, for Bar CDMX gave me what I looked for--a place to party and celebrate the night! As soon as I walked in, I saw the dance floor full of people, and the whole bar had a crowd all about. It was crowded but in a great way. It had life. I had a cast of people to help me thrive! The wait for our drinks was long but understandable. I ordered four drinks: two for my date and two for me. They had a $10 special--a guava tequila drink--and it was great: sweet, unique, and easy to slurp. I also got the Poni Rosa (I think), a vodka-based drink that was also a joy to drink. This is my go-to drink when I go to this joint. It is an easy drink to enjoy too. The place also has a small arcade in the back. It has a few games and is a fun way to enhance the night. The games will not keep you entertained for hours, though. They are just another fun dimension to this place. There is a pool table. There is a dance floor. There are tables. There are drinks. I am sure people meet here and hook up. It is a good bar for the fun of it. Go have fun; go have a good time. This place helps you achieve these goals! read more

This place totally reminded me of a few trendy bars I went to in Mexico City last November. It's a bit dark, it's located in the basement below 7 Grand but they did a great job - there was a pool table and mexican arcade games. We went in time to enjoy their happy hour - we got a draft beer of Estrella and a tequila shot for $10 - a great deal for the area. I didn't see food on their menu but they usually have.a mobile taco stand outside their front door - plus they allow you to bring outside food. The space is small but there were bar seating and several couch/tables providing a great atmosphere for small group gatherings. It's a 2 minute walk from the 7th Street metro station, please be safe...take uber or public transportation. Parking in this area is a nightmare anyways. read more

Celebrated a friend's birthday here and we had the best time! The ambiance is impeccable--there's an arcade, a dance floor, and we were lucky to get a booth with plenty of space to dance. The drinks were amazing, and I loved that they also offer agua frescas and non-alcoholic beer. The music was mostly Latin, with a fun variety from Vicente Fernández to cumbias. The classic marg here is DELICIOUS. It doesn't have that fake marg mix taste to it and the tequila they use gives it that nice smooth agave feel. During HH at $7 it's truly a steal. I went with my partner and there are restaurant booths for parties and some pinball machines. They also have a billiards table which was in use. There is a lack of seating. A lot of people were mostly standing and kinda confused where to go. It wouldn't cost much to at least throw in some high top tables to at least place drinks. The music goes between high and low volume which is confusing. Given the location and numerous bars around the area that have a better setting. I would not return nor recommend it. read more

A gem!!! Okay so I admit I only knew this place from a post I saw on Instagram however...my date & I really enjoyed our experience here! Everyone was very cool & friendly even the bouncer at the front was super friendly. So first off, if you're hungry they have a taco lady that's setup right before you enter this bar! I didn't try any of her tacos but they looked bomb & smelled amazing. Upon entering the actual bar, you walk down a flight of stairs to go underground & there's a pool table, the bar, restrooms, arcade games around the other corner of the bar, & maybe about 10 booths for parties that wanna lounge & hangout. Honestly really cool. We played pool & some of the arcade games lol. But of course the drinks: we first ordered the Mezcal Paloma & the Mango Mezcal Margarita. My date & I loooove Mezcal so this place was perfect! I ended loving the Paloma more than the mango margarita but honestly both were very good.
