Cute dive bar out in echo park. Friendly patrons and staff. Love.the dark ambiance of the place and it's cozy. They have signature cocktails and limited food menu. Also great for taking a mirror selfie but no flash. Music by the dj was great. Music vibes all night. Parking, out on the street.

Vodka soda & Mexican candy shot

First time coming here! It was Thursday night and they have a live DJ. My friend got a vodka soda and I got the Mexican candy shot. Both were really good. The service was great and so was the music they were playing. It's pretty small in there but there was enough space to dance and all.

The Gold Room is hands down one of my favorite spots in Echo Park. What really makes this place shine? The bartenders. They're the kind of people who remember your drink, your vibe, and treat you like a regular--even if it's your first time in. Great service. The cocktails are thoughtful. You can tell they care about what they're pouring, from the classics to seasonal specials. It's rare in LA to find a place where the drinks are this well-made and priced so reasonably. You're not paying $18 for something overhyped--you're getting quality without the markup. Whether it's a Dodgers game day, a low-key Friday, or just a random Tuesday, The Gold Room always feels like the right move.

This place was perfect before the dodger game. Not too crowded and the menu and prices were amazing. Probably the best michelada I've ever had. The bartender was so polite and pleasant. The drinks were creative the tropical Red Bull margarita was awesome. Cool spooky vibes with dark classic bar feels.

I really enjoyed the ambiance of this bar and found it a fun place to hang out on a week night! I appreciated that they have 2 happy hours each night and it just so happened when we arrived, one was about to end. The drinks was very flavorful and had the perfect strength. I liked the creativity of the drink menu and hope to return to try more of their delicious drinks.

Came here this past weekend and it was awesome! Kudos to the dj that was playing on Friday night. His music choice was 10/10. From hip hop, reggeaton, cumbia, banda, you name it. The service was good for having 1 bartender. She was very nice and attentive. Can't wait to be back again

Haven't been to Gold Room in years, better than I remember it. Small dive bar off Sunset. Bartender Tony was friendly, attentive and quick to take our drink order. His cocktails were very very well made. He takes his time and you can tell enjoys the craft. Tried the Double Trouble and Pineapple Express. Double Trouble is absolutely delicious - 10/10. Pineapple Express was just as good, but def loaded (has mezcal & tequila). It'll have you feeling good real quick. Drink prices are reasonable priced for LA. Same for their daily happy hour menu. Very solid beer menu too. They have a jukebox you can pay to control the music which is kinda cool. Get to hear a variety of music genres cause of it. Solid bar for a quick beer or cocktail.

Stopped by Gold Room for our very last drink of the long night on a Saturday. This bar stays poppin' until closing! I didn't get the name of my bartender but he was friendly and take the time to make me an excellent whiskey sour (with egg whites!), even though it was a very busy night. Drink prices are fair for quality drinks. I will definitely return!

The Goldroom is always a good spot to have a good night out and what makes it better is that the service is always good. The Bartender are always polite.

Kevin, the bartender was extremely friendly and had no problems greeting me right as I entered part has the classic feel I'm a good old fashion died part strong drinks, cheap food, real good, cheap food! I had to go for the tacos on Tuesdays you get a nice special three tacos for five dollars and you won't even have to wait six minutes to get them... The meat is locally sourced from a taco stand right up the street... And the flavor is just absolutely amazing! Come in and say hi to Kevin. He's a real cool dude in the bar plays great music!

The outdoor beer garden offers a lot of seating, shade and some great vibes. A perfect place to bring a bunch of friends to grab some food and enjoy some beer (brewed on the property). We all enjoyed some amazing beers and we ordered quite a few things on the menu to try. Everything was delicious, I was very impressed. Most of the time breweries don't really have the best food, but this one had amazing food! Service was prompt and very friendly. I got a blonde brew and it was so good and refreshing. We ordered: - 3 in a bun - Filet Mignon - breaded pork cutlets - Fennel and Pear Salad All very tasty! I definitely recommend coming by and checking this gem out. Cheers!!

We ordered many items on the menu but there were only two things we liked; the Mackerel and the Eggplant. Unfortunately the rest of the food was not good at all. Another thing was that none of us got buzzed from the beer. lol Majority of us agreed that the beer was watery but maybe that wasn't a bad thing. hahahaha Again, it's a cute place especially for summer time. And the Mackerel was really really good. I will probably go back for it.

The vibes are always fun, especially when they host different food and artsy vendors and live DJ's. The staff is not overly friendly, but they get the job done; they greet you, they serve your beer, they pick up the empties and repeat. Unfortunately, there is only one unisex restroom, so depending on how busy they are or if there is a popular themed event you can expect to be waiting in a line for a while. Another thing to mention, there is very limited street parking, so patience is key and/or walking shoes for when you find something in the surrounding streets.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. I ordered the chicken schnitzel with mushroom gravy, my boyfriend got the Hungarian brat with spaetzle, and our friend ordered the Hungarian brat on a roll. Starting with the schnitzel: it wasn't completely terrible, but it definitely wasn't good. The breading was some what soggy and sliding off the chicken, and the chicken itself had almost no seasoning besides an odd lemony sourness. The mashed potatoes were honestly awful -- extremely sour, like they were overloaded with sour cream but missing butter, salt, or any real flavor. I LOVE mashed potatoes and only managed two bites before giving up. The red cabbage was overcooked, mushy, and had a slightly off taste. Overall, the schnitzel plate was maybe a 2/10, and those points go solely to the fact that the chicken itself was technically edible. My boyfriend's meal somehow managed to be worse. The bratwurst was fine, but tasted frozen and reheated rather than fresh. The sauerkraut, according to him, "tasted like dirty socks." The spaetzle was genuinely offensive -- mushy, overly bland, and tossed with what looked like hydrated diced mushrooms that literally tasted like dirt. I honestly questioned whether it had gone bad. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself felt dirty and had a strange smell throughout. It honestly seems like a place locals may still visit out of habit or convenience, but it no longer reflects what I imagine it once was. It's unfortunate, because there's something special about a restaurant that's been around for 65 years and still tries to maintain its old-school charm. Sadly, the food and cleanliness just don't live up to that legacy anymore. Save your money unless you're only stopping in for an overpriced German draft beer. We definitely won't be back.

I had placed a phone order, for pick up; upon arrival, I found the service was prompt. I saw my food ready to go, just past the main walk-in area. Almost immediately after that, I was taken care of by the host and on my way. I've been waiting to try this place for ages so on the drive back to work I was excited to steal a piece of meat from the bag. Initial bite flavor was good, meat was tender just a bit on the chewy side.. I wasn't bothered by it too much as I'd have to leave it in an oven warmer at work. Trying to keep food warm, in doing so, I knew there'd be only two possible outcomes, melting tender or either tough & dry. So, the dish of meat and rice sat in the warmer for almost an hour hour and a half. The downhill slope.... Set the "meat " on the veggies and began to eat. Meat after meat, I kept experiencing the same exact texture. It was the same exact rubbery chew, I initially tasted. Each and every piece was the same exact flavor. There was no peak, there was no pitfall. If you cook or grill, you know this is a red flag. Normally, consistency would be a good thing, a Master craftsman type experience, but this was NOT it. As go on, I get the sinking feeling, this can't be real meat. I lock in, the deeper I dig, each piece looks the same, broken apart the same, tastes the same, just various shapes. They can call me crazy for this one - I'll stand by it. Something is not right here. I'm not even going to throw it away. I'm going to study it for the next few days and post an updated review. I hope I'm wrong but as of right now, I'll never revisit this place. Too freaky of an experience. We
