Service was very friendly! Cacio/pepper pasta plus meatballs were good. Mixed drink was meh for the price. The acoustics were very challenging--it was very loud and when one man moved a stool the sound was exceptionally unpleasant. I left feeling overwhelmed and craving the quiet of my car. Food is good, but I would bring earplugs next time.

Food To start with, I think this place is mostly a wine bar and had a relatively small kitchen. We were a group of 6 and all our food took so long probably more than 30 mins til our food came out, but my friends and I didn't mind since we liked the overall vibe of the place and were busy catching up with each other. When the food did arrive, the quality of the food was pretty good. We got pepperoni pizza and caesar salad to share, and they were pretty good in terms of taste and I could tell that it was fresh. The ragu bolognese was made with fresh pasta and had relatively good flavor but was a bit on the saltier side for me. I also ordered meatballs but unfortunately they were out of meatballs. Food was okay overall Service/Ambiance The staff that showed to our tables were nice and I liked how they would check up on us from time to time. The vibe of the place was outdoor dining mainly and I liked the overall vibe of the place

This place is amazing! The smell when you walk in is spectacular, makes you crave the food without even trying it yet! I went for the first time on 5/9 Saturday night and WOW! The service was fantastic, loving, caring and welcoming! The food was so amazing, my bestfriend and I stayed there for a couple hours missing partial of the event we were attending next door of the hotel. It is a beautiful place that you don't want to miss out on trying! Highly recommend! Thank you team for an incredible experience and incredible food we were so hungry and I loved it! I will be sharing this with close friends and family. I will be coming back to visit and enjoy dinners again!

Cute little place! They had heaters on the patio which was nice! You can also order & pay from a QR code! Made splitting the check sooo easy! Waiter was super nice! Food is pricey but delicious!!! Big drink menu! Not too many IPAs but the one the waiter recommended was great!!!

What a great little Gem with a nice happy hour! Ian is really knowledgeable about wine and a very engaging server! Amazing music at a level you could actually hear the person you're with! Our charcuterie had some awesome cheeses and our pizza was fantastic!

We started with the Wine Station Salad and it was the perfect light opener. The lettuce was crisp, the candied walnuts added a subtle sweetness, and the cherry tomatoes were fresh and juicy. The parmesan and house dressing pulled it all together. It felt balanced and refreshing without being boring. Next up was the Pizza 4 Fromages with truffle added. If you love cheese, this is your move. The blend of cheeses was rich and creamy, and the truffle hit right away without overpowering the tomato sauce. The crust had a nice crisp edge and held everything together perfectly. Definitely a standout. We also shared the charcuterie board and that was ideal for pairing with wine. A great assortment of meats and cheeses, plus olives, pickles, and toasted bread. Everything tasted fresh and high quality. It's the kind of board you can slowly work through while enjoying a few glasses. The vibe inside The Wine Station is relaxed but elevated. It's perfect for date night, catching up with friends, or just unwinding after work in Downtown LA. If you're looking for a wine bar in DTLA that actually has food worth ordering, this is it. We'll definitely be back.

Service was fantastic, food came out in a timely manner and server was doing check ins to ensure we were fine. Highly recommend you check them out.

The list clearly favors organic and biodynamic producers, which I always appreciate--minimal intervention, letting the terroir and varietal speak without unnecessary manipulation. The flight format was flexible, offering around five selections with the option to choose three pours. I went with a sparkling red, an orange wine, and a white--each bringing its own personality to the table. The sparkling red was lively and slightly unconventional, the orange wine had that textured, skin-contact complexity, and the white rounded things out with a clean, expressive finish. Our server elevated the experience by guiding the tasting order, which made a noticeable difference in how each wine showed. It's always a good sign when the staff understands how to pace a flight rather than just drop it off and walk away. We didn't explore the food menu this time, so I can't speak to the full program, but purely from a wine perspective, it lands at a solid 4 stars for me. The space itself is ideal for a relaxed midday tasting--plenty of seating, with a great outdoor setup. The tall greenery creates a sense of privacy without feeling closed off, making it just as suitable for a casual date as it is for catching up with friends. Honestly, if you've got a flexible workday and don't need to be on camera, this is a pretty perfect spot to post up with a glass and ease into the afternoon.

Prawns seemed undercooked. Steak was chewy. Fries are not pictured but nothing special. 20% is included in the tab already, so make sure you check the total before paying. We were able to get a seat on the coach and order drinks from the bar relatively quickly. Prices were pretty typical of LA ($18-25 a cocktail) but I would say I probably won't come back this late as it's in a shadier part of town. They have a bouncer and it was fine inside, but it's not a place where you can bar hop if that's what you're looking for as the area is seedy. Would be interested to try the food next time, but again, the safety and comfort of the light of day.

NOVEMBER 26.2025…read more I've been through many iterations of The Library Bar over the years... from small and cozy secret bar for those that work in the looming skyscrapers of Downtown LA to being some noisy urban hip hop affair that served godawful drinks (see my past review!), and on back to being a calm and casual neighborhood bar again. The interior never changes... dark... illuminated by candlelight... the bust of Shakespeare over the fireplace, the shelves of old books-- all of it remains intact. But this latest Library Bar seems to have finally dialed in what was always sorely missing in that it showcases a conscientious staff that all seem to know how to mix drinks while treating the customer well by leaving them be. On one night my date and I share a "Black Manhattan," basically a Manhattan with the generous addition of Averna, and it's terrific. On another night, I go for Happy Hour and a few pints of Guinness on draft that are surprisingly proper and go well with their excellent and, I'm told, homemade Hummus & Veggies Plate. The music at this current Library Bar is pretty much on point and is never so loud as to interfere with the conversations that patrons seem to come here for... something you should come here for too, and maybe at Happy Hour specifically if you're looking for a nice bump in your day and to spend an hour, well, happily.
