About a century ago it was a studio for silent film star Charlie Chaplin and later a library for Sherman, which was the name of West Hollywood before it was incorporated. The tables next to us had several people chain-smoking, which was extremely unpleasant while sitting in an area where people are supposed to be eating. I honestly didn't realize smoking was allowed so close to dining tables, and it made it impossible for us to enjoy being there. When we sat down, we were also given only one menu for two people. We considered moving inside, but it was so incredibly loud that having a normal conversation seemed nearly impossible. I would still like to come back and actually try the food, and I'd be happy to update my review based on that experience. Next time, though, I would probably visit on a weekday and sit inside to avoid the smoking and hopefully have a quieter experience.
