Located in Art District, you can get two hours of validated parking in the nearby parking structure. Propaganda has indoor and limited outdoor seating. Since it was hot, we opted for indoor. The noise level was really loud, thanks to a large chatty party. In hindsight, outdoors wouldn't provided a better environment for conversation. We came during Dine LA and tried their dinner menu. They were busy so service was bit slower than usual. We first got some drinks which we finished before our entrees arrived. We started with the Insalata Mista. The lemon honey dressing for this salad was delicious. That was my favorite of the evening. We also got the squash blossom which had a nice cheese pull. Our mains were the Maccheroni Pasticciati (pasta) and Spicy Salame Calabrese Tartufato (pizza). The pizza was tasty but it was the pasta that really stood out. It was al dente with the melted cheese charred bits adding a nicer bite. We ended with Pistachio Gelato which was light on the pistachio flavor. We made it just under two hours for the meal. We had multiple servers throughout our dining , the first one was a tad cold and unfriendly which wasn't a great first impression. The second was super kind, friendly and helpful. Service is important because it sets the tone for the ambiance of a customers dining experience. Passionate staff= Flavorful experience. So, I haven't eaten all day. I have been so busy working. As always on Friday I wanted pizza, but not just any pizza. I have came here before but was too late to order food. I promised myself that I would come back to try it out and here I am. It comes with a light layer of honey spread on top. I was kind of shocked at the flavor because it was definitely a spicy sweet that I enjoyed. I think the actual pizza sauce is a tad sweet also. Either way, for me, it was cooked the way I like this type of Roman style pizza, the crust was crunchy and it was a little dark on the bottom, but it didn't taste burnt. The meat was burnt on some parts and I didn't mind it or maybe I was just really hungry...lol. Nah, it was fine. Next time though I would not want it cooked well, but just in between so I can taste the difference, yes, I will be back. I plan on bringing my nice here when she visits at the end of the year. The wine I had paired nicely with the pizza. I cannot remember the name of it, but it was a bubbly red mix of champagne and wine, like a sparking brut red. I sat outside in the corner so there was a great view of everyone coming and going. It seems like a family/date place. The neighborhood wine bar, if you will. The owner/manager was a gracious host who double checked on people and me when my pizza took a little longer than normal. If I have one recommendation, it's to add lemon to the regular tap water. I have a filtration system at home and I can taste everything in water if it's not completely pure. There was an after taste, so I didn't drink it. But most probably won't know the difference. I do like the outdoor ambience with the trees and umbrellas. I feel like I got some good artistic shots. I didn't go inside since it was really packed and I was tired. I just wanted food, to walk my doggie, to celebrate his birthday, and go home. I do highly recommend you try this place out if you're in the Arts District downtown. I am a member of a wine club in Temecula and pick up my yearly wines in December every year, then give them out as gifts for the New Year and birthdays. The melty cheesy, flavorful sauce and toppings against the crispy crust made it super delicious. It was really nice to sit outside, I was concerned it would be too hot but the shrubbery gives shade and it was a perfect climate despite being a hot day. We had some Gorgonzola Dolce which came with toasted almonds, toasted bread and a fig jam. Then we had a pizza with anchovies, Calabrian chilli and olives Dessert was a layered, green (pistachio), chocolate and a pink (can't remember if strawberry or raspberry!) covered in a dark chocolate shell. I was getting a late lunch with a friend, and decided to try this spot. Initially we were going to try De La Nonna, but they were closed for a special event and we didn't know when we showed up. In the same vein, we stuck with a similar style of food and ended up at Propaganda. There was little to no wait, which was pleasant. It was a nice day and we decided to eat outside. The focaccia bread and salad came out first, and both were good. I enjoyed the crispiness of the bread, though my only qualms were that the bread was quite oily and the butter and salt were just a tad bit too salty for my liking. The Insalata Mista salad was solid. Good flavor, good dressing-to-salad ratio, and a surprisingly good portion size. As far as pizza goes, the Margherita was good. Tasty, moist, and a nice crunch on the crust. I found it to be enjoyable, though I may have enjoyed more fresh basil on this. I did find it better than the Boscaiola. I got the black truffle honey add on, and it does not go well on this pizza in my opinion. There was virtually no taste of truffle to me, and more of just an aftertaste of oily sweet honey. This was a miss. It's hard to say whether the base pizza was good without it because the flavor profile was just too overpowered by the aftertaste. The Arts District is definitely coming up with new upscale dining establishments, and I'm there for it. I think this is a solid addition. Though this is a wine bar, I don't generally drink, so my review is based purely on the food. Results of their drinks, which is quite an extensive list, may be to your liking! Been here before with my wife. Menu is good not great. This time we went on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was less than half full. We had a reservation but it was unnecessary. We ordered an appetizer and an entree, plus drinks. The drinks were served promptly. The appetizer took more than 45 minutes to arrive, with no word on the entree. I politely explained I was no longer interested and preferred to leave. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. However, I would have much preferred to have eaten the food that I ordered. By the time we had left after waiting over an hour for our meal, there were few places in the area that were open to find a meal. Overall the staff was very apologetic, but I for sure will not be returning to this location, especially given the extremely high prices requested for below par service. I would not recommend this place to anyone, as there are many more restaurants in the area offering better menus and far better service. read more

First time trying here and I thought overall it was a 3/5. They have a nice happy hour with good wine, flights, and food options. For food I ordered the Margherita pizza and kale Caesar salad. The salad was a 4/5 so it was pretty good and shareable in my opinion. The service could have been better so I give that a 3/5. For the start of DineLA, we decided to start local and check out Propaganda Wine Bar. Had been by it so maybe times yet had never checked in. So we made a reservation and headed over. We were sat right away inside, though there is a nice outside dining area at the front of the restaurant. Being an Italian wine bar, wine is, of course, at the top of the drink menu, but they also have Spritz available, so I went with a limoncello spritz. Having had limoncello in Italy, I was expecting it to be very limoncello-y as the alcohol content is in the 30% area, but this tasted much more spritz-y, and the limoncello really didn't come through to us. For food, we started out with the squash blossoms and the burratta and focaccia. Unlike normal squash blossoms that are stuffed with ricotta, these are stuffed with mozzarella which was a nice change of pace. They are, however, coated in a heavy batter and fried. So it doesn't come off as your traditional fried squash blossoms, being much heavier but also different with the creamy mozzarella. The other issue with them was they tasted a little burnt, maybe left in the fryer a little too long. The focaccia and burratta, on the other hand, was very nice. The mozzarella tasted like the mozarella in Italy, topped with a pistachio pesto, so that was a nice surprise. The focaccia, on the other hand, was a little more dense and crispy than I was expecting for a focaccia. Still good. Nice appetizer! Entrees consisted of pizzas, which we got one of each. The margherita had a flavorful tomato sauce though the basil felt a little overcooked. Not the best margherita I've ever had but still decent. The four cheese and mushroom pizza was very cheesy, as to be expected with four cheese, and there was ample mushroom present. There was also dill but I could not pick it out anywhere, and that would have been a nice chatting forgot to all the cheese. The last pizza was the spicy salami calabrese tartufato with a black truffle honey on top. The tomato sauce, again, was delicious, and the spicy salami posted with the sweetness of the honey was a great contrast. Probably the best pizza in my opinion. For dessert, there was a vanilla bean gelato and a mini donuts filled with hazelnut with a Nutella dipping sauce. The gelato tasted like basic vanilla bean ice cream, evening the donuts were decent, a little overly sweet with the hazelnut filling and the Nutella dip. Overall, decent Italian restaurant, the spicy salami pizza and the burratta were excellent, would definitely recommend. The squash blossoms are a little heavy, and ours was a little in the burnt end, but with the marinara dipping sauce, they were still tasty. You can go either way with them, get them or don't. I love their Mediterranean menu and this is actually how I want to eat most of the time like "tapas" style(mini appetizers or snacks, typically meant to be eaten in a few bites and shared by everyone. They can be hot or cold, and range from olives, cured meats and cheeses) I love everything we ordered which are charcuterie board, cheese board, ceasar salad, burrata salad, spicy focaccia fig jam sandwich, margerita pizza, prosciutto pizza, all meat pizza, anchovies on toast, potatoes, that you can share in small servings too. But to be honest, I got food coma coz I wanted to taste everything we ordered a lot lol!!! My hubby and son not a fan though. It's just me and my daughter and since it's her birthday she got to pick where to eat haha. Their bar has multiple selection of imported wines and we ordered a bottle of white but they have no liquor though. That's why my husband was not happy all the more lol. But this place has received positive reviews for its atmosphere, food, and service. There is also an outdoor seating that you can enjoy. The staff - hmm can be more pleasant and attentive... we have a big group of 10 and the other server was not as pleasing to us. I requested napkins and he didn't or must have forgotten about it so I asked the other guy. Gave us only 2 napkins. There's 10 of us. Hmm..Smh. He's also same guy I asked to take us a picture but he didn't look pleased that I asked him? Didn't say anything at all I still recommend the place because of the ambience and food plus drinks of course. One of my favorite places in LA. Good wine, charcuterie, and pizza! Love the focaccia here! Service is always great. I'm allergic to dairy and they were able to accommodate my allergies. I like being in the outdoors seating area for ambiance, but inside is great for more intimate atmosphere. It's a great place for a date or to catch up with friends. I've even come here for happy hour by myself because I was craving their pizzas lol read more
