The service is impeccable and very friendly to you. They're really knowledgeable about their dishes too. The place just reeks of experience and professionalism. And I can't even start with the dishes. From the vongole down to the tiramisu, everything is delectable and perfect. The only downside is they raised their prices over the years I loved it when I used to get pasta for less than 20 bucks a few years ago. And the wait tends to be terrible so I would try to go earlier (opening) next time or just hop to a bar nearby while on the waitlist. The calamari portion was generous (lots of squid ), and the meatballs came in a solid portion too, like around 8 pieces. Not small at all. The house salad was kind of a last-minute order because we saw it at the next table and it looked so good... and yeah, no regrets Really fresh, nice mix of veggies, just very well put together. For mains, I got the gnocchi and my partner got the frutti di mare pasta The flavors were honestly so good. Rich, well-balanced, and just satisfying. I have to say -- the seafood pasta was loaded. A formal sign-in sheet or a digital waitlist system would go a long way in managing the crowds. Food: Appetizers: We ordered a spread for the table, and every single one was scrumptious. Very popular place, especially on weekends. They don't take reservations. Our party of 5 had about an hour wait and they only seat complete parties. The front desk attendant was nice and the server was friendly and attentive. It's a cozy ambiance that has a nice patio. Theres a parking structure directly behind the restaurant which makes the parking cost $16 with validation instead of $22. The food was delicious. The homemade pasta is very fresh. We shared the meatballs appetizer for the table which were awesome and flavorful. I had the Pappardelle Al Cinghiale which was good, but I thought it would have more tomato sauce. I recently visited this beautiful, cozy restaurant with a group of six and we had such a genuinely pleasant experience from start to finish. The food was delicious and arrived in a very timely manner, piping hot and thoughtfully presented. We were offered bread, water, and Parmesan cheese to complement our meals, which immediately set the tone for attentive service. Such a yummy spot by Grand Central Market. There's a parking lot right next to it and they validate parking as well. Came to celebrate a birthday and our service was so quick & friendly. I came here years ago and remember ordering something that I liked but did not love and always wanted to come back to try what I was eyeing the last time. Thankfully, someone on my team retired and I had the opportunity 6 years later to come back. I ordered the Bianchi & Neri and it was delicious. I can't describe how much I loved it. It has everything I love in a pasta - shrimp and creamy :). I am so happy that I came back and had the opportunity to have it. For appetizers, we had the calamari and the meatballs and the bruschetta. The bruschetta was super fresh and good and the calamari was yummy. I was starving so I didn't get an opportunity to take pictures. We came at about 11:30am on a Thursday so even with a table of 8, we were able to basically walk in with only a 5 minute wait. Parking is sort of plentiful and on the side and to the back. As with everything in DTLA, it's a paid lot but it is easy and near which I like. Need to bring my family soon as they are pasta lovers. We came on a Friday night around 6pm and were lucky enough to be seated upon arrival since they do not take reservations. We started with the garlic bread which was buttery/soft like a cloud and loaded with garlicky goodness in every bite. She got the Blanchi & Neri while I got the Trifogli Del Fattore. The creamy sauce balanced the saltiness from the pancetta and stuck to the black/white noodles well. We loved the tomato sauce because it was thick, savory, and insanely addicting. On the table there is a bottle of chili oil which was honestly a cheat code. It had just the right amount of heat and added a nice flavor that elevated everything. I asked if I could buy some, but unfortuantely it was not for sale. All of the food is sooo delicious and it was such a treat to have fresh hand-made pasta. It makes such a noticeable difference in texture and taste that is unforgettable. The staff was so welcoming and attentive always making us feel at home. Agnolotti di osso bucco: tortellini filled with osso bucco meat, and bone marrow in a salsa verde de spinach. With this dish, I could taste the spinach (which I loved), and the bone marrow provided a richness to the pasta that was very pleasant and not overpowering. 2. We started with the free bread, which felt a little dry and flavorless, but paired with the olive oil it was a nice touch. I also paired it with the creamy and acidic burratina and pomodoro, which made it a great vesel. The gnocchi was pillowy but on the slightly heavier side. I've been here twice so far and I've had the cacio pollo papperdelle and bianchi and niri (forgive me if the spelling is off). The cacio pollo papperdelle was pretty good (esp since I added mushrooms to my order) but I do wish it wasn't so salty. Perhaps I added too much parmesan cheese when they asked but overall, the pasta was a bit too salty for my liking. The bianchi and niri on the other hand was a favorite amongst our table and I really liked it! The perfect balance of flavors. The price is pretty steep but given that this is in DTLA, I can't really complain. The atmosphere is perfect for a small gathering (the restaurant itself is pretty small but there is outside seating!) or an nice date night. This place is located across from the Grand Central Market which is perfect if you want to get dessert. Service was quick and the waiter was super kind. One of the best places to eat great pasta in L.A. period. Located right across from the Grand Central Market. Parking is in a lot next door (partial validation). There is indoor and outdoor seating and pets are allowed in the patio. Service as expected is friendly and topnotch. But the food is the superstar here. One of my go to pasta spots in LA. The quality, flavor, and texture rival high-end Italian spots while at an affordable budgets. Entrees range from $20-30. My favorites have changed through the years (the bianchi Neri, pappardelle, and star pasta one) but my current go to is their agnolotti, which is meatier in flavor while balanced by the freshness of the basil and the acidity of the salsa verde. I ordered 2 mains and 1 garlic bread that ended up totaling to $92, which is absolutely insane considering that a part of my pasta was undercooked and hard as a brick. The Italian food(Michelin) is good, but not outstanding. It may depend on what you order, so ask the staff as they are very friendly and willing to help you select what to get. As I recall, the spaghetti and meatballs was pretty good, and the tiramisu was also very tasty. Only gripe is that it felt room temperature which made the cheese a bit hard to chew tiramisu: 8/10 - different but same same with other tiramisu places not sure how to describe it, but it is very delicious fried calamari: 7.2/10 - a bit underwhelming, but a great option for an appetizer. Comes with a nice sauce to dip your calamari in cuffie al nero di sepia: 7.5/10 - wish the noodle was a bit more cooked overall the sauce and the seafood in the dish was really spot on Overall a pretty good spot if you are wanting Italian dishes with no wait time.
