[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute spot for brunch in K-Town![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Super easy to valet park here (and only $15 for three hours, which is a steal for K-Town). I got the Paloma, it was refreshing but I would have preferred tequila to mezcal. I paired it with a cinnamon roll for the table (so gooey and yummy, always a good idea) and a soft omelette with mushrooms and breakfast potatoes. This was a solid choice, the brekky potatoes were nice a crispy. My only disappointment was the service. We had someone who was gluten free and the server couldn't make any good recommendations for her. For LA, I thought this was quite odd, as many places have a dedicated gluten free menu and I would assume that any good chef knows how to handle this common food allergy. I don't think I'd recommend this spot for folks with a gluten allergy in the future.

Made a reservation for Saturday morning and had a really good experience overall. Street parking was surprisingly easy, and they also offer valet with validation which is nice. There's an Alfred Coffee on the first level too, which I loved. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I got there a bit early and they let me hang out by the pool/bar area while I waited for my friends -- super chill vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the eggs benedict with potatoes and a side salad, and everything was really good. One of my friends got the hanger steak (didn't try it, but it looked great). I also ordered a grapefruit drink -- really refreshing. Service was attentive without being over the top, which I appreciated. Only downside for me: the pancakes. We got a half stack and they were like $12 for small ones... honestly not worth it. Also, there's an automatic 20% service charge, just something to be aware of. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bathrooms were clean, music was good, and the whole place had a fun "cute casual but still dressed up" vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely a good spot if you're celebrating something.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I think this was their French dip sandwich with sweet potatoes and it was so good! I truly wasn't expecting it to be so flavorful and well balanced-- the meat and cheese with the pickled onions The au jus was really good too! Not too salty. And you can't go wrong with some sweet potato fries and sauce to dip! Service and space were amazing as well!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's AC so don't even worry about it being hot with the window design.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]My new favorite brunch! It's on a rooftop of Line Hotel and has an amazing greenhouse ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was soooo good. I really enjoyed the eggs benedict with ham. The hollandaise sauce with the poached egg and ham was just perfection. I liked the crispy potatoes and the salad it came with as well. The potatoes were the perfect crispiness level and the salad was a refreshing yuzu like taste. The avocado toast was surprisingly really good! I thought it would be more simple but it pleasantly surprised me! I liked how they add cucumber and pickle veggies along with the microgreens on top.

Came here to catch up with a friend for brunch. Food: [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you come, come only for the aesthetic ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was not so great. It was cold when it was first brought out! The ingredients did not taste fresh. The potatoes were slightly hard to eat. I couldn't even finish it. The sausages were difficult to bite into. I'm not sure how breakfast food could be messed up this badly. The eggs were alright. My friend also did not really like her plate too. Service: We were seated pretty quickly as there was no line. It was relatively empty at the time. Our servers were kind and brought out our food in a timely manner. Parking: $10 valet. There's no free parking. Overall: I wouldn't come back. The food was below mediocre for me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was definitely pretty though seeing all the plants around you while you eat. I liked how the tables had mini flower vases in the center. Very aesthetically pleasing[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] but if you're looking for quality food, I'd double think before coming here!

This place is pretty good. We came here for the Dine LA week. I'm not sure how representative that is of their general menu. This is at a second floor of a cool looking hotel. They do have valet parking which the restaurant validates. I assume you could park nearby on the street but not totally sure. The set menu was interesting. I liked my appetizer of ahi tuna though it was nothing super exciting. The beef I had was good though it was on a weird mash that I later read was sweet potato - and it was just a bit too sweet. I did like the beef which was tender and the swiss chard was a good side. The dessert was really good. This restaurant looks like a greenhouse. It seemed like it was only maybe a third full. I imagine it would be an easy place to meet if you are staying at the hotel, but did seem a bit pricey for what you got. The service was fine but they told us we couldn't split the bill three ways, only two ways. I don't know if I'd recommend for group dining if that is their standard policy.

OpenAire : OpenAire in K-town is a special terrarium of a space perfect for an upscale Mother's Day, a fun long tabled birthday or a very ruckus brunch. The space is Instagrammable in every sense of the genre. It gives Eco-plant-chic as sunlight beams and a glass housing to remind each other ever throw stones. It's happy and bright and the service matches it. The food portions and flavors are as well and we are lucky to have it in our beautiful town. Thank you OpenAire for your open heart. I promise to stay at the Line hotel as I think their lobby is fabulous as well because who doesn't enjoy a lobby happy hour within brutalist poured concrete.

I've been wanting to give this place a try. We finally came since it offerer Dine LA menu. Openaire is located in THE LINE Hotel. There is valet but we found parking on the streets. The restaurant does validate. We had reservations for dinner on a Sunday night, and it wasn't crowded at all. Our server was attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and unique. I can see how people are saying it can be pricey. With Dine LA, it was a good deal. The Tuna Tartare was really tasty; especially with the sweet potato chips. The Braised Beef Paleron was very flavorful and melts in your mouth. It was my first time having the Okinawa sweet potato. It paired well with the beef. The dessert was just right as well. I liked the Passionfruit Creme Brulee better since I'm not a chocolate person. I want to come back to try their brunch and to see this place in the day time.

Had my little freakier Friday moment eating here as I just watched the movie and hadn't been back to the Line hotel since it was a different restaurant so I was happy to come back. Valet at the hotel is available and with validation from the restaurant is I think $14 if I remember correctly. The restaurant is beautiful within a greenhouse area. Everything we tried tasty pretty good, some more stand outs than others. My favorites were: + house milk bread - soft and light and the porcini butter was savory with lots of umami + roasted Japanese sweet potatoes - sweet and savory! + crispy duck confit - the kimchi rice below was delish! What I would personally skip: + Tempura squash - textures were there but overall flavor profile was subtle + snake river farms wagyu zabuton was overall fine, but all the components felt more separate than complimentary? + carrot Swiss roll - tougher texture, I think in the fridge too long

I had a reservation for brunch on a Saturday to celebrate my birthday. Although it's good to have a reservation, you could probably walk in and still get seated quickly, there were plenty of tables. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Greenery growing all over giving a greenhouse vibe which was so cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had read many great reviews about the food but unfortunately I don't think I share the same sentiment. We ordered a few dishes and most were pretty disappointing in flavor, although they all looked absolutely beautiful. The presentation was superb. We started with the tuna tartar which was served with sweet potato chips and that was probably the best thing we had. We got a couple mocktails and lattes, the drinks were not bad actually, quite delicious and they looked so pretty too. For the entrees, we had the huevos rancheros, steak and eggs, the salmon egg benedict, and the coconut chia pudding. We sent back the chia pudding..the coconut milk was a little overpowering. The steak and eggs was good, the steak was cooked well and came with kimchi rice which was flavorful and not too spicy. However the salmon benedict was rather disappointing, the eggs were so undercooked it disintegrated. The huevos rancheros was okay, decent flavor but it was very mild. The service was great though, they were very kind and friendly, making sure we were taken care of. They did charge a 18 dollar cake fee, so keep that in mind if you're coming for a special occasion.

We specifically chose Openaire because they were advertising this Koreatown Gwishin (Ghost) Dinner for Halloween, complete with immersive storytelling, Korean ghost lore, a Daegu fortune teller, and spooky dinner theatrics. We thought it would be such a cool, Korean-themed Halloween night. But when we arrived and asked about the storytelling... not a single staff member had any idea what we were talking about. We asked multiple people and everyone looked confused. Where was the Daegu Fortune Teller? I wish they were present just to tell us this whole thing was a hoax. Lol. The good news: The ambiance is stunning. This restaurant is undeniably beautiful with dreamy greenhouse vibes with warm lighting and lush greenery. The atmosphere alone makes you want to stay for hours. The food and cocktails were delicious, and the special Halloween menu was executed perfectly, so zero complaints there. There was a magician/mentalist performing that night, and his trick actually blew my mind. I'm still thinking about how the X mark ended up on the inside of my left palm even though I was gripping my hands super tight. So props to him because that was memorable and very on-theme in its own way. The not-so-good: Our server felt lost, almost like it was her first day. And overall, it just didn't seem like anyone had been briefed on the event that was being heavily advertised. I just don't think they thought this concept through. If you're going to promote an immersive themed experience, the team should at least be aware of it. Bottom line: We still enjoyed our meal because the ambiance and food truly delivered. But next time, please don't advertise something and then pull the plug without telling your staff, it just makes everyone look confused, including the guests. Would I return? Yes -- for the vibes and food. Would I return for a themed event? A hard no!

    Michelle L.

TLDR - ambiance and apps here are better than the entrees IMO; i think it's more of a hang with friends and vibe in a nice atmosphere Food: my favorite apps were the crudo & the kale salad, although everything was pretty good! * For entrees, the steak (not pictured) and jerk chicken were pretty good but neither of the duck dishes were that great. The duck pasta was minced so you couldn't really taste the flavor /couldn't differentiate with another meat and the duck kimchi rice was just ok. The kimchi fried rice was more sour than I liked and had some pear slices on top to make it a bit sweeter, overall kind of soggy. Service: a little slow but the waiters are super friendly and helpful with any questions/recommendations Parking: KTOWN parking is pretty hard since this is located @ the Line Hotel so you either need to valet or street park and walk

Eggs Benedict and the Blackened Shrimp & White Grits with braised pork belly, and both dishes were absolutely delicious

It's been a while since our last visit, and we're so glad we came back for a quick brunch. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Blackened Shrimp & White Grits with braised pork belly, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was just as enjoyable as we remembered--people chatting and laughing, creating a warm, welcoming vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We especially loved the relaxing greenhouse garden feel, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We'll definitely be back soon to hang out and enjoy another great meal!

    Openaire Reviews in Other Languages

    Ask the Community - Openaire

    Is there a dress code?

    Nope, just casual.

    How much is valet PARKING?

Valet parking is $12. Validation is also required, or you will pay additional fees.

Are babies welcome for brunch? Is the vibe fitting?

Yes. I was there with a child. However, if you're in a booth and it's crowded, a place for the stroller will be hectic. It'll be better to be at a table.

How is the parking for Openaire?

Valet option is available. Street parking is timed and very limited.

Is there a full bar here?

There is indeed! A quite pretty one at that!

Are there open windows in the greenhouse to allow good air flow or is it all enclosed?

If you're worried about covid... it's not that airy.

What is the parking situation on a Sunday morning? Please let me know.

They have valet which was super easy to do, you may find some street parking around but might have some restrictions (I just went for valet last time)

    Do dogs allow at patio?

    I don't think so

I've reserved "standard" seats through Open Table, does that guarantee seats in green house?thanks!

When I reserved OpenTable standard seats I put in the notes "Greenhouse seating request." I also let the hostess know when I checked in on the day of my reservation. We were seated in the Greenhouse with no problems.

Do they offer bottomless mimosas for brunch?…

    Yes, they do.

Is there access to the pool from the restaurant?

Dining doesn't grant access to pool, but it is on same level and you can possibly be seated right across it.

What is the "standard" seat on the reservation website? There are two options: outdoor seating and standard seating. Is standard seating located in the greenhouse?

I reserved outdoor and was seated in the greenhouse.

How much is bottomless mimosas and from what time is it available?

Hey there. The bottomless mimosas are $ 25, endless drinks for 2 hrs. Between 10am-2:30 pm Enjoy

Are they still doing bottomless for brunch?

I called and they said yes but didn't give me a price

What time is sunday brunch til?

10-2:30. Always refer to website for answers. It's not posted then call.

Are dogs allowed on the outside area?

I saw a girl bring her dog in a dog stroller. I'm going to assume yes

What number can I call to make reservations?

I made reservation on opentable. There is a deposit if you have a party of 6 or more. Or go to thelinehotel.com to reserve

What's the max they can sit for a table? Can they do 8?

I've seen long tables where they can sit 8, but call to confirm because seating is limited inside the green house dining.

I emailed regarding a reservation inquiry a few days ago, would it be better to call a specific number instead? I've been unable to get a hold of anyone yet

Me too! I tried two different numbers and just keeps ringing! 😫

Do you need to have a reservation for brunch? Or can you walk in? Not able to get anyone on the phone.

Hi Shanyn, we recommend our guests to make a reservation via Opentable.com; otherwise we do take walk-ins too depending on availability and wait time

This is a great place to invite any motorcycle friends who are visiting from out of town. First, there is parking for cars on the street, and inside there is an area strictly for motorcycles. The restaurant has an open patio and is very dog friendly- they even have a dog menu! The service is good, but pretty busy- they need to hire a few more waiters. When my friend and I were there (Sunday afternoon) it was pretty crowded. The food was excellent- and the desert was good too! It's in a sketchy part of town, so visit during the day. I'm not sure what night traffic is like. But overall, I would suggest coming here!

It's almost a one-stop shop for everything! We ordered the pancakes, French toast, steak & eggs, Loco Moco, a matcha latte, and a cold brew. All the food was pretty good, the service was fantastic, and the pricing was very reasonable. Plus, parking was surprisingly easy! Definitely recommend stopping by. I'll definitely be back on another day to try more from their menu!

This is more upscale, almost fine dining Filipino food. Something I have never experienced before. We were very intrigued and were excited to try the food. If you're looking for a carinderia or turo-turo taste, this ain't it so don't come expecting that. Menu is not extensive, which is what we like. I have a hard time at Cheesecake Factory and that just stresses me out. I feel like their food menu is compact, thoughtfully created, and appealing. We had a very difficult time not ordering the entire menu. So we ended up eating almost half of it. Drinks menu was also very innovative and the drinks were STRONG. I also appreciate that they have non-alcoholic versions of some of their drinks. I wasn't indulging that day so Hubby and I were able to sample one of each type. Calamansi Mojito ($20) for him and Ube Horchata ($14) for me. As for what we ate: Manila Mais ($18) - 2.5/5 stars - It was, okay. Filipino-ized version of Mexican elote, corn-ribs style. Though it had Filipino elements like the bagoong butter, it didn't really taste like anything different. And to be honest, the bagoong butter didn't bring anything to the table the way it was presented to the side of the corn. It was too hard and just sat on the elote as you ate it. Kare Kare Tamales ($26) - 5/5 stars - UH-AMAZING!!! I could have eaten two, regular-sized tamales versions of this as an entree instead of two smaller appetizer size. The braised oxtail inside the tamales was soft and tender but the peanut butter veloute was *chef's kiss*. You definitely tasted kare kare but in an innovative way. I just wish they had some steamed rice or bread so I could soak up the sauce. I almost cried when they took the plate away because I didn't want to waste the sauce! Bicol Express Mezzelune ($38) - 4/5 stars - I was eyeing this originally but opted not to until the chef came out and talked us into it. And I'm so glad he did! This was delicious! Ironically enough, I just cooked traditional Bicol Express the week before and this definitely hit those notes without being a carbon copy of it. Again, where was the rice?! Only thing I can dock is that I felt like the pasta was a tad too thick and was chewy to my taste. Otherwise, I would definitely order this again. Was the sleeper hit of the dinner. Crab Fat Fried Rice ($38) - 5/5 stars - Crab? Crab fat? In rice?? Of course, sign me up! So delicious and a very generous portion. I wanted to hoard it to myself but I guess I had to share with Hubby. Would order this again. Ribeye Salpicao ($96) - 3/5 stars - Not my favorite of the bunch and this surprised me because I love rib eye. It came out medium instead of the medium rare we ordered and the taste was just not to my preference. It's possible that it was just overshadowed by the other excellent dishes we had. Likely will not order again though the portion was generous. Two minor things I wish they had but not enough to dock stars: Rice and spoons. Come on, now! This is a Filipino place! These two are musts? How else could I mop up all the delicious sauces they put on the food?! Service was impeccable! From front of the house host, bartender, and the chefs, the experience was very welcoming and polished. We sat at the bar and was able to chat with the chefs when they came to introduce themselves to us and they were the nicest people. You felt like you came to a friend's house and not an impersonal stranger's. Will definitely be back to try the other half of the menu we missed and we'll be bringing friends!

The food was amazing, but the atmosphere was what really made the night special. And Chris, who took care of us, exceeded our expectations with his wonderful service. Next time, I'd love to bring my parents and share this experience with them. Highly recommend!

My wife and I stopped here a few weekends back for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised with just how much I enjoyed the food. The ambiance here is pretty generic, white and bright and very copy and paste of a lot of places popping up recently. The staff was super friendly while taking our orders and dropping the food off, which is always appreciated. I ended up ordering the Santo's Turkey Melt which is smoked turkey, grilled onions, Swiss cheese, and chipotle aioli served on sourdough with a side of french fries. The sandwich was really good and the same can be said for the french fries and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of fries given, so thumbs up to that. I forgot what the food costs so I visited the website and for some reason they don't think it's important to put that online, which is pretty darn stupid if you ask me. Overall, I didn't have a bad experience at Sandcouch Cafe and I would visit again in the future thanks to it's convenient location. The food was solid and the staff was friendly, and that's really all I need when ordering a sandwich.

I have been here so many times throughout the years but most recently found myself here during a busy World Cup match! Regardless, the service and quality of food was not sacrificed! I was greeted as soon as I got there and the bartenders were overwhelmed but still friendly and helpful. I was so tempted to get a margarita, since theirs are amazing, but decided to keep it dry and just get their vegan nachos. I was able to score a table outside on their lovely patio, which felt secluded enough from the main street. My food was brought out quicker than I thought and I was delighted, as I was famished! The vegan nachos here are fantastic and the happy price is only $10, which is a steal for what you get! They are costed in the most magical concoction of a bean puree, cashew cheese sauce, and guacamole which all have the most creamy, luscious and savory flavors. It's so hearty and well seasoned and not only filling, but you feel great after. Parking is pretty easy, as there are usually ample meters available nearby. I cannot wait to return again soon the next time I'm in Downtown LA! I am hoping to try more of their vegan options and next time I will for sure get a drink to go along with their delicious food!

To be honest, I was already biased because his Smorgasburg pop-ups were consistently good. But Distrito Catorce is different , it's like art. My favorite dish was the tacos de papa with salsa macha. The crunch of the potato taco riding into the salsa macha and crema felt like home, but with some extra pop. His salsa game is on point. The scallion salsa on the ribeye taco was also gas. Lastly, I really dug the tostadita de atún. It hit perfectly on these hot summer days. Low-key, I still want to try the El Rey de Noche. They have a really good beverage program, and I would like to come back more for drinks and try the Bro over Tomatoes. For food, I got the pop over benedict, honestly, I didn't know what I was expecting because I was assuming a regular benedict, but it was the most beautiful presention and delicious hollandaise sauce i've ever had in my life!
