The choices made with this burger were not avant- garde enough to be an interesting new take on the burger, but also too strange to satiate the craving for a classic. the 'best cake' is PHENOMENAL I love her so bad yes i paid $7 for olives and almonds yes im unemployed no i dont regret it the pita bread that came with the vegan cashew hummus starter was sooooo pillowy. if I had been more resourceful I would have abandoned that horrible bread on my burger and just wrapped the patty in this pita instead the chicken wings are good but the sauce is quite smoky and i do feel they're cheaping out on the blue cheese bc it was watery with minimal chunks. chunkless blue cheese is very sad. overall i do think this is a classic spot for drinks and a light dinner (tapas style portions but not tapas style prices bc why did I pay $16 for six chicken wings??) but I wanted to warn the community about burger gate read more

I went to Bacari again for a birthday dinner and we sat upstairs at the outside patio and it was a lovely experience! The greenery and the foliage was beautiful. Our server was super attentive and kind and made sure that we had enough food and drink! My favorites still are the Lamb pizza and the Bacari fries. The pizza has such a good flavor and topped with the egg, it feels indulgent in the best way! The fries have the perfect crisp and the gravy/sauce is SO good! I could do with or without the egg on top but it was delicious! I got the Socal Staple for my drink and it was a great balance of sweetness. My first time at Bacari and I really enjoyed myself!! My friends and I decide to come here and it was a great idea!!! We came at 4:00 pm after brunch and it was still crowded! I ordered the grilled chicken breast which was phenomenal and I had some of my friend fries, which was very good and fresh! For our drink we all opt in on the 90 minutes open bar for $37 which is such a great deal!! It's rare when restaurants have this! I tried the espresso martini, you can get cocktails with this open bar and wine etc. the sparkling wine was great, and red sangria. 5/5 for the food and drinks. The service was phenomenal the servers was very nice and patient. If someone at our table did not like something they switched it and recommended something else. Attentive the entire time and gave great food suggestions. The ambiance was nice we sat outside at the outdoor patio upstairs. The only thing I feel is that it could have more handicap options for those who have disabilities and strollers. It can be more modern but it's nothing too great to elaborate on the decor. Amazing service. The all you can drink special is a TRAPPPPP because everything you taste is so well made. All the food and drinks were amazing. I came down and had a catch up dinner with 4 of my friends here. We stayed for over 2 hours just enjoying the view, trying new plates, and hanging out. I think the star of the show, for me, was the Asian Pear pizza which was kindly recommended by our server. There's so many different foods to try and the workers will help you choose if you need. We got: the Mediterranean street corn (the only true excellent dish,) Bacari fries (awful, soggy fries with a random, non-runny egg on top,) and sea bass (tasteless.) 3.5 stars rounded up. First time to Bacari, and I wish we'd gone with a group. That seemed to be the vibe of the place. It's big, open-air, with different seating areas -- and even with the openness of it, it gets LOUD. We were two people and it was difficult for us to hear each other between the larger groups and the music. The dishes range from shareable "tapas" (or the Mediterranean version) to main courses. The person I was with had a personal mushroom flatbread/pizza, which clearly had a homemade crust and fresh veggies on it. I had the lamb hummus, which I really enjoyed -- came with pita bread that was also fresh and tasted homemade (whether it was or not!) and veggies for dipping. It doesn't look very large, but in the end I couldn't finish it, it was so filling! The hummus was very flavorful and had a nice little kick to it as well. If I get to go here again, I'll be glad to update my review with more info. But if you're looking for a place for a celebration or bringing a group, this is your place. If it's a quieter date or evening you're looking for, I might suggest trying someplace else and returning here when you're in the mood for a bit more of an exuberant atmosphere. read more

We visited Bacari Silver Lake today on Mother's Day and had a mostly enjoyable experience thanks to the food. My son ordered the cheese pizza, which was very well made and delicious. We started with the ceviche, and not only was it fresh and flavorful, but it was also very reasonably priced. Honestly, all of the dishes felt well priced and easily shareable for two people, which makes it easy to try a variety of items from the menu. We also ordered the seared sea bass and the beet gnocchi. The sea bass was flavorful and cooked really well, and the ricotta beet gnocchi was, as always, full of flavor and one of the highlights of the meal. Unfortunately, the service really took away from the experience. Considering it was Mother's Day, it was disappointing to have to ask for assistance five separate times throughout our meal. One staff member in particular seemed irritated that we even needed help, which made the experience feel unwelcoming. I was able to dine in for dinner. We were a decent sized group celebrating a bday. As expected on a Friday night, it was busy. Try to find street parking if at all possible. Beautiful outdoor seating area. We were seated on the upper deck for lack of better words. Our waitress was lovely- sadly I didn't catch her name but she's thin, long dark hair and lots of tattoos. We were charged for the bread and olive oil, smh. Meals were delivered to the table almost one at a time or two max. It was very strange. I have never seen a kitchen operate this way. Usually, the entire ticket is prepared/ cooked and brought out all together. This truly bugged me. I was the last one at the table to receive my meal. I ordered the flat iron steak. Although I enjoyed my meal, the portion was small. Everyone in our group noticed and mentioned how small the food portions are. I guess get ready to order multiple items in the future for next visits to share. The Asian pear pizza is delicious. Tried the shrimp ceviche- it was ok. I'm not used to have round whole tomatoes in my ceviche. Those that ordered the seabass also enjoyed that dish. Compared to a lot of other places nearby and similar quality, this place is affordable. Upon walking in, you're transformed into this beautiful outdoor and indoor space. They seem to have a lot of tables and it gets so busy. We came in around 5:15pm on a Friday and were sat immediately but were told that they would need the table by 7:15pm or something like that. Which was not an issue at all. We sat down and ordered the mushrooms, glazed pork belly, Brie and Asian pear pizza, ricotta and beet gnocchi, and some cocktails. Everything was great! The sauce was so good you will honestly want to lick it off the plate It was rich but not heavy and tied everything together beautifully, especially the yuzu sauce paired with the snowpeas was The pan seared fish with corn and vegetables was fresh and bright with crispy skin and great flavor. Came here on a Saturday evening to celebrate two of my friends' birthdays. We were a party of 5-6 (one came later) and even though we had a reservation for 7:45pm, we did have to wait a good amount of time for our table to be ready and get seated. We did come 5-10 min late though but we got seated about 40 minutes after our reservation time. It wasn't until we asked the staff again if our table was ready that we were finally led to our table. Despite this, the restaurant was sooo nice and aesthetic! It was a beautiful vibe and I loved the outdoorsy feel. I think there is some seating inside but most was outside. It is pretty dark though if you come later at night and only lighting are the candles but you get used to it lol. As for the food: soooo good!! But the portions are tiny! Our server, Madeleine, did warn us they were small plates (she was awesome btw). We were doing family style and ended up ordering a lot of dishes to try. I got the bacarati cocktail (a crowd pleaser for sure everyone loved it) and my friend got the open wine bar. We got a complementary bread with garlic olive oil since our wait was long, which was so good. We got the margherita pizza, asian pear with brie pizza, shawarma tacos, burrata caprese, and ricotta and beet gnocci. Beware that the most amount of tacos you get is 4, and if you want 5 you'd have to order another serving for a total of 8. The food was all super good and my favorite was the asian pear with brie pizza which had a unique taste. The food did take a bit to come out and we just ate as the dishes came out. It wasn't much of an issue though, and they did give us small birthday slices which we so appreciated! I do recommend coming here at least once as the quality of the food is amazing but be prepared to find parking (we just did valet) and wait even if you have a reservation. However, we were extremely disappointed to find out when we got our check that the well vodka, which should be the cheapest vodka, was $17 with a club soda! So I paid $34 for two drinks and I'm glad I didn't keep drinking! The well vodka was not listed on the menu and I feel the server should've told us what the price was ahead of time. Bacari saved our day after a long drive and reaching the city late. We snagged the 10 PM reservation. Food & Drink: The Crudo was my most favorite of the lot. Other things worth every bite were pork chops, fried chicken sliders, glazed pork belly, jidori chicken wings and lamb hummus. We also got the pistachio cremeschnitte for dessert. Great place! I went on a Sunday with a group of friends and we all did the Dine LA menu. I got the mujadara and chickpea hash. For dessert I got the vegan chocolate cake. The mujadara was delicious it was tangy which I loved. The chickpea hash was good too tasted like chickpea with queso. The chocolate cake was amazing loved how soft and fluffy the cake was with the chocolate syrup. However, the service was great, but food came out slowly. My overall experience here was awesome. I made reservations for two on a Saturday for brunch. They have valet parking right out front, but I found a parking spot just across the street. Dowloaded the ParkMobile app and paid by cell phone. My friend found free street parking up the residential street. I reserved a table outdoors in the garden. Very nice. It's completely enclosed on the sides, but open at the top. The hostess walked us to a table right next to the tree. The sun was in my eyes, so we asked to be moved to the next table, which she did. Because it was my girlfriend's birthday, the hostess had a couple glasses of proseccos delivered to our table, on the house. Ahh, so sweet. If you've never been, they recommend 2-3 plates to share, per person. As they were out of pancakes, we ordered the Shawarma tacos, Avocado Toast, Crudo, and Lamb Shakshouka Pizza. The food was delicious. The taco plate usually comes with 3 tacos. We added 1, so we could have 2 each. The meat was tender. Great Avocado Toast. The Crudo was thinly sliced and spicy, a unique twist on sashimi. My favorite was the pizza. Thin crust with a variety of tasty flavors. Afterwards, we ordered the bread pudding for dessert. First of all the ambiance is top notch! There are actually 5 different seating areas and each one is stunning with a fairytale setting: lush greenery, tall bamboo trees, twinkling patio lights, cozy nooks, and colorful cushions. I totally felt like stepping into an enchanted forest and felt like my phone would die if I took any more pictures lol. We started with a couple drinks which were ok - presentation was lacking and the taste wasn't memorable. The food was amazing though - especially the lamb hummus and lamb shakshouka pizza - definitely try those two if you want a flavor explosion in your mouth. The green falafel with coconut harissa was also quite interesting because I have never had coconut with falafel before but it was pretty good. We also ordered the rosewater custard malabi and "the best cake" which is essentially a date cake served with bacon bits and vanilla ice cream. I loved the rosewater custard malabi - it was delicious, light and airy. The date cake itself was really good especially paired with the vanilla ice cream but I wish I had skipped the bacon on top of the date cake, because unfortunately they were not "bits" in any shape or form - rather chunks of bacon pieces which weren't even crispy, salty or flavorful. Personally, I have been to bacari multiple times and have always had amazing experiences, but this visit was extremely disappointing. Our table purchased six $37 open bars for six people, but most of us only received about three correct drinks at most. Personally, two of my drinks were made wrong, and a couple of the other girls also received incorrect drinks. Although some drinks were eventually corrected, the attitude we received afterward made the experience uncomfortable. Our server, Kelsey, made us feel judged throughout the night. While we were filming TikToks during our graduation celebration, she seemed to turn it into a joke/drinking game, which felt rude and unprofessional. This was a graduation party for three people in our group including myself, and instead of feeling celebrated, we left feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. When we asked to speak to the manager, our server rolled her eyes. We also felt like staff were talking about us in front of us.
