I'm not a cocktail person, but I feel like this was my attempt at giving it a shot while out with some friends, and I'm so glad I did because their strawberry cocktail was amazing. I also had a sip of my friend's, and theirs was good as well. I'm a huge fan of dimly lit spots and places that aren't too loud, and this place had the best of both worlds. One side had a bar and music playing.. it was very full and lively. On the other hand, the outside area was dim, relaxing, and overall a great place to get to know someone.
One of the best brunch spots in Silverlake area, located just south of Griffith Park in Los Angeles. I was pleasantly surprised after approaching the restaurant from the sidewalk. You would not know that it hides such an awesome dining area with a beautiful centered tree, surrounding bamboo and feels as if you entered a fancy tropical treehouse. The delicious food was equally as pleasant, along with awesome customer service and hardworking staff! Special-thank you to Josh, Adelaide, and Riley for contributing to an unforgettable first time experience at Bacari. I enjoyed the brunch atmosphere so much that I tried both the French toast and pancakes. Also I could not turn down the "Bacarita" -a watermelon margarita with just the right amount of spicy tahini and jalapeño twist. The French toast and pancakes may look smaller than the typical all American breakfast, but it is jampacked with flavor and filling. There is also enough items on the menu that multiple trips could be experienced and something new can be tried each time. Overall, the location and setting was lively and valet parking was reasonable, taking away the hassle of trying to locate parking in this busy part of town. I visited Bacari both during brunch hours and the evening for a glass of wine. The positive experience and vibe was consistent during both visits. Great for groups, not for conversations. Very dim, candlelit and loud music and chatter. $35 open bar for select drinks 90 minutes well worth, despite slower service. Food service was extremely fast! DRINKS Strawberry lemongrass bellini fave, lemongrass flavor was barely there so strawberry was yum. Pomegranate bellini was good. FOOD + Bread ($5): didn't realize this wasn't on the house + Margherita Pizza ($16.50): very cheesy and hit the spot (8/10) + Asian Pear and Brie Pizza ($16.50): flavors sound great and was hit for my group, but miss for me. Tasted doughy (5/10) + Chicken Schnitzel ($20.50): loaded with pickled onions and arugula nice balance but chicken was tad soggy (7/10) + Ricotta and Beer Gnocchi ($15): really small and not chewy gnocchi but the sauce was amazing (6/10) + Bacari Fries ($13.50): really pricy. simply skinny fries. Good sauce (6.5/10)
My second visit to Bacari and first at this location! The outdoor patio with multiple levels is absolutely beautiful and a perfect date night spot. The food was delicious and I wish I could've ordered one of everything. My favorite is the chicken schnitzel but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Incredibly unique dishes with flavors pulling from Mediterranean and Italian cuisines. Shoutout to our server Ari. Very friendly and attentive.
Bacari Silverlake is such a gem! From the moment you walk in, it feels like you've escaped LA and stepped into a hidden treehouse garden. The setting is beautiful, with huge trees overhead and string lights throughout. It has a really romantic atmosphere, but it's still casual, lively, and fun. Since everything is tapas-style, it's perfect for sharing. We ordered: * Charred Broccoli - So good! The smoky char adds so much flavor and completely changes the way you think about broccoli. Definitely a must-order. * Shawarma Tacos - Such a fun combination. The meat was tender, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. Perfect with a drink. * Chef's Salmon - Cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside while still flaky and juicy inside. * Margherita Pizza - A classic done right. Great wood-fired crust, fresh basil, and plenty of gooey cheese. And a big shoutout to Kaia, who took care of us. She was friendly, energetic, and gave us some great recommendations. Everything came out quickly, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Beautiful setting, great food, and fantastic service. We'll definitely be back!
My friends told me great things about this Bacari location, and I was excited to visit for their brunch! The restaurant itself is very pretty - there is lots of greenery and natural light. However, we visited during peak lunch hours and the heat was pretty uncomfortable. We wish there were some fans or mists to help cool down. For food, we tried the shwarma tacos 3/5, shakshouka 4/5, Turkish egg 4/5, and beef bureka 4/5. All the food was good but not memorable. It was fun eating tapas style and sharing everything. I definitely enjoyed their drinks more than the food itself. Bacari is a restaurant to visit with a group of friends and try a variety of plates. However, I would not return for the quality and flavors of food.
We came here with friends who had been here before. This place looked gorgeous and the food looked delicious in the pictures. From the street, the restaurant didn't seem like much, but it is so spacious inside. Although it was very hot outside, they had an outdoor seating area with a lot of shade and it was noticeably cooler in the shade. We were, however, seated inside. It is recommended you get a reservation to ensure your table. This is a very popular restaurant! Their dishes are designed to be shareables which is so fun to have with friends, and they recommended 2-3 dishes per person. We actually ended up getting with maybe 1 person's worth less of items, but we still ended up with leftovers. The menus were somewhat overwhelming, and probably for several reasons, including the sheer number of options without pictures and bunched up text (not much spacing between text). They had a Dine LA special going on for brunch, which is $35 per person. They explained that the dishes from this menu was a little smaller than the regular menu. For the Dine LA special, we ordered the Turkish egg, shwarma tacos, brussel sprouts, crudo, malabi, vegan double chocolate cake. We also ordered Bacari fries and chicken schnitzel from their regular menu. My favorite dishes were the crudo, chicken schnitzel, and brussel sprouts. The crudo was so fresh and had a nice lemon flavor to it. The chicken schnitzel was fried perfectly and I loved the arugula mint salad. The brussel sprouts were roasted perfectly and had a tasty sauce to it. The Bacari fries were pretty plain as it was mostly the egg and special sauce, but the fries itself was pretty good. I remembered the shwarma tacos were a little dry, tortilla was crumbly, and overall underwhelming. Vegan double chocolate cake was pretty sweet for my palate. I really enjoyed the malabi, which had a rosewater custard. The custard wasn't too sweet and I loved the toppings it had with the shaved coconut, hibiscus, and candied pistachio. Service was incredibly friendly throughout! We felt so welcomed. Overall this is a place I would recommend to impress visitors with great food!
Don't get me wrong. The venue is beautiful. It's near my home and I've been there over the years in its varying incarnations. AND I've been to the original Bacari near USC. This Bacari Silverlake is like the song "I'm Too Sexy". I didn't care for the young hostess' "Reservation?" as a greeting. How about "Hello. Welcome to Bacari." ? The service was ok.... Our server had to be asked about Splenda 3x. She was nice, a USC student, just not a good tracker. The food was decent. Excellent broccoli. Pretty good schwarma tacos. So-so kale salad. So-so coffee. And the place is just too big and loud on a Sunday brunch. Like a bee hive. I think it's likely a better place for dinner. There are LOTS of good spots in Silverlake. Bacari has gone industrial and may be losing its small intimacy that we all loved so well in its early days.
The ambiance here is so amazing!! This is a great place for a girls night, date night, or celebration. The atmosphere is so cosy and I love the outdoors seating. We ordered a few drinks and the lovely manager offered us two drinks to try! It's a big dill was one of my favorite drinks and the strawberry one tasted like literal strawberry lemonade. We got a few dishes to share: pear and Brie pizza (10/10 thin and crispy the sweet and salty combo was amazing), gnocchi (6/10 creamy but not my fav), lamb hummus (7/10 salty and lamb forward), shawarma tacos (8/10 so saucy and juicy meat), Bacari fries (8/10 perfect to snack on). Overall this is definitely somewhere I would come back to visit.
This is a very hip place! The garden is amazing. I particularly loved the old tree in the center of the restaurant. The service was great as well as the food and cocktails. Our server recommend that we do 2-4 tapas style dishes per person. So we took his advice and we ordered 5 dishes for 2 people. Well we should have ordered a little at a time because almost all the food came out at the same time and there was not enough room on the table for everything. Next time we will order a little at a time so we can enjoy each on its own. We did feel a little rushed. We had the olives and almonds, the burrata caprese, shrimp ceviche, stuffed mushrooms and the Moroccan cigars. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. The shrimp ceviche and the Moroccan cigars stood out for me. I also loved the walnut pesto on the burrata and I could get enough of the house cured olives. One of the cocktails we ordered came in a dirty glass and when I pointed it out our server he immediately corrected it and comped our drink. Which was excellent service. I know not everything will go right, but how you respond is the difference maker. Our server Jackson did an outstanding job. All in all this was an excellent spot for dinner and I can't wait to come back.
Delicious lovely spot! Came for brunch to catch up w a college friend. Lovely patio, great service. Had the fries, chicken schnitzel and little gem salad. All were delicious and highly recommend. I am sure it's extra pretty at night too. Love all the Bacaris I have been to! Keep up the great work team!
This restaurant is a must when you come to LA. I take all of my friends and family here and they absolutely love the food and the vibe. I've been to multiple locations but the Silverlake location is the most aesthetic. The food is delicious and the price point is great as well. The service is pretty good but it can take a little while to get seated.
Bacari is one of these locations that I've had booked marked for years and years, and I am very excited to say that I was finally able to give it a try The unique atmosphere with enjoying dinner in treehouse and tapas style menu is something that is so fun to experience. I have to say that I was able to take a look at the menu before even going to Bacari so I knew exactly what I wanted to try like the the skirt steak, scallops and burrata. It is recommended to get about 2 to 3 dishes to share amongst two people, so that left a few more open spots for us to choose from. I ended up landing on the stuffed mushrooms as well as the Seabass. I definitely have to say the stuff mushrooms are a great underrated choice. I really enjoyed how perfectly seasoned cooked and stuffed these mushrooms were, I quickly became one of my favorites. From Bacaris unique menu, tasty drinks, and wonderful service. I definitely can't wait to go back!

This place is like a multilevel bohemian tree house decked out with cushions, fairy lights and lanterns. We strolled in on a Tuesday just before 6 and were seated quickly. Our server, Dawud, made great food recommendations and everything was delicious! The plates are small, so order plenty! We ordered the little gem salad (so many great flavors and textures in this little dish), flat iron steak with grilled zucchini, Mediterranean street corn (I wasn't sure about this, but it was zingy and amazing), and the Asian pear & Brie pizza. The drinks were delicious as well. Alas, we didn't have room for dessert. Bacari Silverlake serves up a symphony of flavors, a relaxed vibe, and friendly service without trying too hard. Just genuinely nice people serving delicious dishes and drinks. Definitely coming back! read more
Such a great experience having my post-birthday dinner with my dear friend at Bacari Silverlake! We've been eyeing this restaurant for a while and it definitely delivers from the service by our wonderful waitress Alexandra to the food and ambience. We were very hungry and as the portions here are Tapas-style, we made sure we had a good variety of food ordered. First was Rainbow Beets that took us by surprise! The menu said this was oven-roasted beets, but what we had were not expected. These were sumptuous beets that was neither too hard and crunchy or mushy, and has this freshness with every bite. The 3 different types of beets - pink, dark red, and yellow - offered their own unique taste, with the pink being the sweetest and the yellow the most tart. The whipped chèvre cheese and olive oil balanced out the minty tarragon very well and added a playful delight with the beet. This how different components can really work together harmoniously and surprised us foodies. We gave it an A! The Oyster Mushroom was another surprising delight and actually did work like a falafel kabob in taste and texture. The tahini, pargiyot spice, and toum crema (Lebanese Garlic Sauce) blended well together to make a cohesive, balanced dish that also avoided tasting like a derivative. We gave this an A-. The crudo seafood dish, however, did tasted a little one-note. I didn't have this since I don't like seafood, but my friend said the herb and cucumber relish with za'atar overpowered the barramundi fish and felt like every bite was just a singular flavor with not as much nuance. She gave it a C+. Luckily, our Glazed Pork Belly was anything but flat. This dish brought us back to an explosion of flavor and savoriness with the salty crispy crust of the pork belly exterior giving way to the delicious pork belly juxtaposed by the sweet but tangy umami mulling glaze. And then you have the sesame seed, lemon, green onion, and cilantro to really elevate the dish even more. This was by far our favorite dish and I can't recommend it enough! This was the dish that really earned our A+! From that high, we coasted a bit with the Cast Iron Steak, which was quite good, but somewhat inconsistent with how good it was. Ours was grilled Medium, but we both felt that different slices had a varying degree of taste profile. This was also the first time where I felt the sauce (bearnise) was a little polite and didn't excite me as much as the previous dishes. The grilled zucchini lacked noticeable seasoning so they were just there. This was a dish that could use a bit more kick, and I think this was borderline B+ to A, depending on which slice you ate. The same can be said with the Shwarma Tacos where it can be more spiced up and earthier in its taste profile. The garlic tahini needed more garlic and that aforementioned kick, and maybe there was just an overwhelming amount of shredded cabbage. What really worked to save this dish were the chicken pargiyot and the pickle red onion. I certainly can use more of both. We'd give this a B. Finally, for dessert we both got our own Malabi, which was a rosewater custard with shaved coconuts, hibiscus jam, and candies pistachios. Right away, we both agreed the whole candied pistachios needed to be dialed back. Because they were whole pistachios, their size, hardness, and flavor were actually taking away from all the other more subtle flavors. It was distracting, and we both just ate all the pistachios first so we can then really enjoy the rest of the dessert. Maybe crushed pistachios is the solution here. This was where I also wanted more from the flavor because it was delicious. The rosewater custard could use some actual chopped up rose petals to even bring out even more of that floral flavor. The shaved coconut brought a nice counter in sweet harder texture while the hibiscus brought on another layer of sweetness that compliments the rosewater. These three components really work well together. It was a relatively simple dessert that's well thought-out and earned our A. To round it off, the service was also impeccable. Alexandra was quick, attentive, very friendly, and very knowledgeable with everything in the menu. Overall, our dinner at Bacari Silverlake was a great first experience and there is so much more in the menu we want to try, so we'll definitely be coming back for more! read more

Everything about this place was a 10 out of 10. From the beginning, when we sat down, our waiter Tuba was so attentive and gave great recommendations to us. It was a group of four of us, so we were able to order a lot of different dishes to try and share. Everything had so much flavor and were great portions for us to be able to try everything. We also enjoyed the 90 minute drink menu, which is the best thing because we were able to also try a variety of drinks. My favorite was the fish and Mediterranean street corn. But overall, everything was very tasty, had lots of flavor, and just so good. I definitely recommend anybody to come and try this place out. You won't regret it! read more
Bacari is a Mediterranean tapas restaurant I've had on my radar for quite some time. It is recommended to go with a group so you can sample many different dishes. I recently went for dinner as a group of eight and got to try a variety of food. With the help of our kind server, we opted for two of everything except the sabich which we got just one of. This worked out well for our group and was the perfect amount of food. Here's what we ordered: -crudo (barramundi, herbed cucumber relish) - 2.5/5 -shrimp ceviche (citrus fennel vinaigrette, heirloom cherry tomato, cucumber, lime chili chips) - 2/5, kinda plain, nothing special and didn't care for the chips -sabich (pita, roasted eggplant, purple potato, egg, cucumber, cherry tomato, beet tahini, radish) - 2/5, eggplant was nicely roasted and flavorful but I don't recall tasting any tahini, felt like it was missing an ingredient tying it all together -charred broccoli (harissa tahini, roasted garlic oil, candied almonds) - 4.5/5 -pistachio lamb kebab (kale, turmeric, beet tahinis; mediterranean salad, lemon-herb vinaigrette) - 4/5 -mediterranean street corn (fire-roasted corn, toum crema, crispy shallot, hazelnut pistachio chili crunch, feta) - 4/5, small portion for the price -sea bass (shishito, corn, shallot, tomato, tarragon aioli, pomegranate molasses) - 4/5 -glazed pork belly (umami mulling glaze) - 2/5, felt overcooked, the meat was tough -noa's cauliflower (caramelized, chipotle sauce) - 4.5/5 My favorite dishes were the sea bass, cauliflower, broccoli, and corn. I also loved the cute treehouse interior. My main disappointment was the temperature in the area where we were seated. Throughout our entire meal, my friends and I were uncomfortably hot. We were seated in the hottest part of the restaurant where heat was trapped. It felt like almost every table around us had a ceiling fan but ours. In fact, it was actually noticeably cooler outside once we left the restaurant. Overall, I found the food to be hit or miss. When making a reservation, I would be mindful of where you're seated especially on a warm day. read more

We found this place to be very impressive. Scenery and food. First off, we were 20 minutes late as traffic was a complete nightmare. We arrived and they had our table waiting. It was packed, so this did surprise me, we welcomed the effort to see us immediately. The food is delicious. The potato tacos were so yummy. As were the olives and almonds as an appetizer, bursting with flavor. A twist on french fries that I've never had with a gravy and egg was really different and delicious. I landed with a watermelon mocktail that was refreshing. I must say one of the best parts of the meal was a recommendation from Hannah, our waitress as well as Rowan. "The best cake." Amazing service, ambiance, and food! Bacari surpassed my expectations and definitely lives up to the hype. I would definitely make a reservation, or you'll likely be stuck in line, or at the outside patio tables (which is what we did, and it was still really nice!) I came for my graduation dinner with family and it was a great place to do it. The servers were all super friendly and made the experience enjoyable. The ambiance is obviously gorgeous, especially on the outdoor patio. The food is slightly pricey, but wonderfully done and flavorful. Recs/what we tried: - Shrimp ceviche 5/5: I don't usually like ceviche much, but this was the best I've had. Great for starting/sharing. - Oyster mushroom 4.5/5: What a unique and tasty dish. I also hate mushrooms usually, but this was absolutely delicious. - Asian pear & brie pizza 4/5: Also unique and yummy! My dad liked this one a lot. - Glazed pork belly 4/5: Pretty tasty, just slightly fatty. - Bread pudding 2.5/5: I was excited to try this but it didn't hit the spot unfortunately... would skip out on this one, though I've heard their other desserts are good. We initially came to Bacari for the dineLA menu, but ended up opting for their Happy Hour instead, and it turned out to be the absolute best call for us! We had specific dishes in mind that weren't on the special set menu, and we were fine skipping dessert. Pro-tip: Do not sleep on their Happy Hour! Taking $2 off every single dish is such a fantastic value, especially if you're sharing plates. Beyond the food, the service was truly exceptional. I didn't catch our server's name, but he was super attentive all evening. After a lighthearted joke about why I wasn't drinking alcohol, I shared that I'm "baking bread in the oven," and he unexpectedly brought out complimentary bread for the table! It was such a thoughtful, warm gesture that made our night extra special. Here is what we ordered: Asian Pear & Brie Pizza (5/5): Absolute standout! What's not listed in the name is that the base is actually guava. It tastes like a sweet-and-savory guava cheese pastry reimagined as a pizza. Brilliant pairing and totally unique. Chef's Salmon (5/5): Another favorite. Perfectly cooked with a crisp skin on the bottom and a wonderful char flavor that paired incredibly well with the quinoa base. Little Gem Salad (5/5): Super refreshing. The bits of bacon and tomato added great texture and depth. Tripoline Pasta (5/5): Not entirely sure what was in the sauce, but the noodles were delightfully chewy, nutty, and delicious. Flat Iron Steak (3.5/5): Good, but sat at the bottom of our list because the char flavor just wasn't quite my favorite compared to how stellar everything else was. I always enjoy a great Mediterranean spot! This place is in perfect location and the vibe is equally as good. Let's get to the food! Their Lamb Hummus,Flat Iron Steak and Mediterranean Street Corn are great starters. The flavors are delicious and melt in your mouth. I've definitely made way better steak at home. 8.5/10 Scallop Medallions - The scallops were cooked to perfection, however I just didn't love the sauce, and the scallops were a bit over-salted. 10/10 Lamb Humus - Probably my favorite item we ordered! It completely surprised me with how packed with flavor it was! 10/10 Ricotta and Beet Gnocchi - My 2nd favorite item we ordered! It was delicious, the gnocchi was so soft, and the sauce paired perfectly with it! 5/10 Bcari Fries with Bacon - These were worse than McDonald's fries lol, definitely never getting these again. 8.5/10 Mac and Cheese - I enjoyed eating this, it just wasn't cheesy enough for my preference. THE girls drinks and tapas spot! so cute we tried the famous pear and brie pizza, cigar lambs, scallions, cauliflower, and corn dishes. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE CAULIFLOWER DISH!! Amazing place, tucked away in the Silverlake neighborhood intertwined between some gorgeous trees. Feels homie but with a bit off more class.def a place to take a date or your wife to explore different dishes and flavors. The place is a fusion of Venetian and Mediterranean food. Tried four items, loved them all. Server made great suggestions and gave us a few hacks. Will def come back again to try more items. Came here on Saturday to celebrate my friends birthday. The restaurant itself is really nice. We didn't book a reservation ahead of time but we got lucky a snagged a table outside. I recommend booking in advance because of how busy it gets. The staff is all super friendly and welcoming the service was great. The food is advertised as shareable but in my opinion the portions are too small for that so just a heads up. The food is still good, we enjoyed a bottle of wine and shared 4 entrées. The energy is lively and the food is delish - flavors were on point and everything felt well crafted. Although I had never visited the Silver Lake location before, it made for a truly wonderful afternoon. My first time at Bacari and I really enjoyed myself!! My friends and I decide to come here and it was a great idea!!! We came at 4:00 pm after brunch and it was still crowded! I ordered the grilled chicken breast which was phenomenal and I had some of my friend fries, which was very good and fresh! For our drink we all opt in on the 90 minutes open bar for $37 which is such a great deal!! It's rare when restaurants have this! I tried the espresso martini, you can get cocktails with this open bar and wine etc. the sparkling wine was great, and red sangria. 5/5 for the food and drinks. The service was phenomenal the servers was very nice and patient. If someone at our table did not like something they switched it and recommended something else. Attentive the entire time and gave great food suggestions. The ambiance was nice we sat outside at the outdoor patio upstairs. The only thing I feel is that it could have more handicap options for those who have disabilities and strollers. It can be more modern but it's nothing too great to elaborate on the decor. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the food we got but here are some pictures of the drinks. The food was exceptional and the best Mediterranean food I've had. I got the poutine and wow the sauce was fire! So simple yet so good. Wings, hummus, and ceviche are a must order and that on its own has a unique flavor. I never had ground lamb hummus and it surprised me how good it was. Also, the interior was so outdoorsy and felt like I was in Tarzan very cute. read more

Yes within reason be sure to tell your server about any food allergies. They are very good about that.

Sorry for the delayed response. Only the kitchen closes, the restaurant itself and the bar stay open. We will start to do last call for brunch food around 230/245pm, the kitchen is closed while we transition to dinner, then reopens for the dinner…
Is it all you can eat brunch on Saturdays?
Hi! The food is not all you can eat. We do have a 90-minute all you can drink, $32 for house beer, house wines, house bubbles, sangria, mimosas & Bellinis. Or $37 for all of the above + 2-part well liquor cocktails.

Starting July 15th, Live Music will take place at Bar Bacari Silverlake Thursday-Saturday nights, starting around 9pm.
