Everything about this place was absolutely fantastic. I am going to be honest, my expectations weren't very high because usually when you see a cute restaurant that is aesthetically cute and trending on TikTok, it's just okay but in this case boy I was wrong and I am glad I was! All of our food was amazing. There was not a single thing that was mediocre or bland. Cocktails were very good! I got the matcha martini but had a sip of my friends drinks as well which were equally as tasty. My favorite thing was the strawberry tiramisu because I have a huge sweet tooth. I will definitely be coming again! Also noting that our server and the entire staff were very kind!

Cento Pasta Bar was super delicious. The space is small, buzzy, and perfect for a dinner out. Service was friendly and fast. The pasta is definitely the highlight, fresh, rich, and clearly made with care. My favorite was the Sweet Corn Agnolotti. The flavors blend wonderfully. Portions are solid and meant for sharing, so it's fun to try a few things. Cocktails are also well done and pair nicely with the food.

I love that they do reservations on OpenTable, and when I called on the phone, they still had extra availability at the counter. The people that work there are so sweet and helpful! Sitting at the counter is great because you get to watch them make the food. The pasta texture was fantastically al dente and the corn sauce had this melt-in-your-mouth blend of sour, sweet, and salty that was truly unique but i was underwhelmed by the pomodoro. It wasn't as memorable or life changing like my friends had hyped it up to me and it wasn't spicy at all. The biggest issue was the portions. I don't eat a lot but I was still hungry after. For $36 per person, it was fine but I probably wouldn't come back because of the price to portion ratio.

Another spot I had on my list of places to try but had not been to yet. Finally checking it out the list. Cento Pasta Bar shares a door with Cento Raw Bar, each unique with their own style, decor and vibe. Three Pasta Bar is just that, a restaurant serving up pasta and drinks. I have a berry+mezcal prior to the rest of the party joining. It considered of berry, cassid and lime. You really get the spirit of the drinking come through mostly, while the berry and lime is a distant second. Wasn't my favorite drink. Once everyone was present, we started with the tartare and mussels. The mussels were cooked well, though the broth, for us, was very underwhelming. The tartare, on the other hand, was very tasty with tonnato and a black lime vinaigrette. The bread from the mussels eventually was getting dipped in the tartare plate remnants. For entrees, we tried the agnolotti and the carbonara. The carbonara was also a little underwhelming, though it did have decent flavor. I feel large chunks of pancetta, crisped. without give it that guanciale crunch you look for in this dish, while the chili crunch gave some welcomed heat to the dish. The agnolotti was delicious, with that sweet corn contrasting the creme fraiche and old bay. Just a great dish. Overall, nice little pasta spot, though that berry+mezcal could have been better. Definitely try the tartare and the agnolotti, skip the mussels and the carbonara is you to you.

I think I found my favorite pasta restaurant!!! I am such a HUGE sucker for al fresco dining (string lights are my weakness). Let's get down to the nitty gritty: Hamachi Crudo- YUMMM. Light and refreshing, as it should be! I'll have another plate please!! Steamed Mussels- Good, added a little texture to the dinner. Grilled bread is great dipped in their juice BUT SAVE SOME BREAD TO DIP IN THE PASTA!!! I would probably skip this next time and order something else though! **ALL 3 PASTA DISHES WERE 10/10** Spicy Pomodoro- No words. Red sauce pasta is my favorite and wow, so much wow. The Calabrian chili was not spicy at all and the truffle was not overpowering--just the perfect hint. Sweet Corn Agnolotti- MY ULTIMATE FAVORITE DISH!!! (This decision was really hard from all the pasta choices) Flavor explosion in every bite. PLEASE GET THIS!! I had a piece of bread left and literally scraped up all the sauce, licked the spoon too. Bolognese- I usually don't really care for this dish, BUT THIS!! IT WAS REALLY GOOD!! It's not like the others, it's different!! Trust me! *My friends and I all enjoyed the pasta dishes so much, we scraped the sauce with the spoon and licked the spoon after, no shame* Grilled Branzino- Good, but I've had better! I would probably skip this too. Duck Confit- OOOOU~ this was GOOOD. Duck was juicy, tender, and packed FLAVOR. Pairs SO WELL with the polenta. Banana Pudding Tiramisu- WOWOWOW. I normally don't care for tiramisu (don't judge), BUT THIS. THIS!!! It took me by surprise! I'm drooling just thinking about it. Overall: I would get the hamachi crudo, pastas, and duck confit again. I may ask for bread on the side so I can dip it in the leftover pasta sauce (I'm telling you, you need to try it!) I would also add in a salad to balance out the heavy dishes. Drinks were alright, probably stick to wine next time. I WILL GET MY OWN TIRAMISU NEXT TIME!!

I hate to admit when a pretty, pricey, and hyped up spot is worth it but Cento definitely is! I tried 2 cocktails, 3 shareables, 2 pastas, and 2 desserts and the only dish that DIDN'T blow my mind was the Hamachi Crudo (not because it was bad but because it wasn't anything special. Among some of my favorites were the Rice + Rose cocktail, Charred Octopus, Pomodoro, and Banana Pudding Tiramisu! And the outdoor ambiance to enjoy the beautiful LA weather was the cherry on top to the perfect dining experience.

Hi Cento Team, I recently dined at the Pasta Bar and ordered the carbonara. I wanted to share this photo of what was left at the bottom of my bowl. The sauce was so completely broken into a massive pool of straight grease that I was worried the US government was about to bring democracy to my plate. Jest aside, eating this actually made me physically ill afterward. For a kitchen with your reputation, serving a heavy oil slick like this is unacceptable. I hope your chefs can fix this emulsion issue so other diners don't leave feeling sick.

To start off I would valet. Not the best area but happy to see it is trying to get turned around. Didn't love the drink list so went off the menu. Be aware they likely will be more expensive than off their list. The hamachi was beautifully plated and the sauce did not over power the fish. The octopus was cooked perfectly but the sauce was what made it for me. Both small portions if sharing. Pastas obviously were the star dishes. My favorite of the 3 pastas we had was the carbonara. Last was the squid ink but enjoyed the contrast of flavors with the basil pop. Desserts were both excellent. The spin on the tiramisu with the banana was great.

Parking: valet parking for $15 or street parking There's indoor and outdoor seating. Came for dinner and loved the night time ambience for the outdoor seating. The indoor seating is also nice cause you can sit at the bar and watch the cooks! Got the spicy pomodoro and it was amazing!!! Not too spicy but a good kick! Also got the rice + rose cocktail and that was also really nice and subtle! I'd recommend to make a reservation as this place can get busy! Would love to come back to try their seafood bar side! Also got the banana pudding tiramisu for dessert and that was very good as well!

Another good time at Cento! Went for a Saturday evening dinner. Was busy as usual and had to valet. Did have an RSVP, but looked like they were running behind so had to wait about 20 minutes for our table. We did get some mea culpa white wines from the staff for the wait - which made it tolerable. Sat in the patio area - first time here (vs the kitchen area), was def more open of a feel. Still def some date-y vibes. Was helped immediately and ordered the sweet corn agnolotti, bolognese, and the spicy pomodoro. Was all delicious! Also grabbed some dessert (panna cotta) - which was ok. Overall - come for the pasta, drinks and vibes. Will be back!

Yummy!! Very cute spot with outdoor patio seating and heaters for the chilly LA nights. The Carbonara was my favorite pasta. Service was great, although we had to wait for our table despite having a reservation.

I was previously someone who would hesitate to pay good money at a pasta place for fear I wouldn't be getting my moneys worth but I GET IT NOW. Got off work late and had a later reservation at Cento but never once felt rushed or unwelcome, and the service and food was well-paced. Started with a nice glass of white wine and ordered the beef tartare, spicy pomodoro, branzino, and sweet corn agnolotti. Everything was pretty solid but the pasta is definitely the standout here. The sweet corn agnolotti I would come back for over and over again. We sat on the patio and loved the ambiance. Would love to try Cento Raw Bar now to see if it's just as good!

Unassuming spot tucked in west Adams. There's 2 sides - the pasta and raw bar. We've heard good things about the pasta so wanted to try. Made a resy at 530pm and was able to find street parking at the neighborhood across otherwise valet was $13. We originally sat indoor at the bar which overlooked the kitchen but switched with someone for outdoor seating which was nice. Service was very attentive We got: Gem Caesar salad: (4/5) wish it was more fishy personally and not sure if I like red onions in my Caesar but just preference. nothing crazy Spicy Pomodoro: (4/5) probably the most pictured pasta I've seen on my feed lately and it was perfectly al dente but thought the flavor was just ok. Don't mix the ricotta in the pasta right away.. I'd eat it separately to not mess with the temp and the texture Sweet corn Agnolotti: (5/5) just wow. So tasty, not too sweet. Perfect for corn lovers. The stuffing with the sauce and the tartness of the cream was divine doesn't come with a lot but super satisfying and rich Banana tiramisu: (5/5) got a bit too sweet for me and woul like it to have more of the coffee/tiramisu flavor but really good still! Would come back to try more and their raw bar next door!

Is this place loud? Thx in advance!

    No, you will enjoy it

Do they use tap to pay?

    If you want.

Do they have a cake fee?

    Yes

Are reservations mandatory or can I show up as soon as they open today?

    Reservations are not mandatory

Wanted to make a reservation this month but saw outdoor seating is more available, just wanted to make sure there will be shelter from a possible rainy day?

Last time I was there it didn't look like there was any overhead shelter in the outdoor area but that may have changed with the season. I'd suggest calling then and asking if they have un real las or any other cover for that area.

Is there an option to have the pasta be gluten free?

Menu does not list gluten free pasta and notes "Substitutions and modifications are politely declined"

    Does patio seating dog friendly?

Yes the table next to us had a dog 👍🏾

Did I read correctly in a review that there's a $10 pasta of the night?

Is there a happy hour menu?

    Nope

Is it kid friendly? Can I bring my kid with me?

I wouldn't say kid friendly per se but i think it would be fine/easier sitting outside since all the indoor dining is counter top high chairs.

    Do they accept walk-ins?

Yes, a couple walked in when we were checking in for our reservation.

Are they requiring proof of vaccination to sit at the counter?

Yes.. proof of vaccination required at this time

Just wondering if y'all have any vegan options on the menu?

This week they have one vegan option on the menu, it's mushroom sugo.

Do you do take out orders?

    No they don't

What are the deets on parking?

Hi! We have valet and street parking. Can't wait to have you done with us!

Ia this place open? I keep calling and no one answers.

Yes, they're open for business ... but, I agree that it's hard to get a hold of them by phone. Tried calling last Saturday with no answer, but showed up anyway at their new location across the street (inside J.J.'s Sandwich Shop) from their old one… Read more

    Do they take reservations?

Yes.. you should make a reservation. I used Open Table to reserve.

What is the average cost of the pastas here? I see no menu

    Average is $16

    Parking is free? And easy?

No and No but it's worth whatever cost there is to parking. The Pasta is amazing!! 10 stars

My group tried several dishes to share as they are on the smaller side. Seating was a bit cramped and the place was packed for a weekend brunch. Lamb hummus ($19) - This consisted of braised ground lamb served over some hummus and fresh pita. The pita was so pillowy soft and fresh out of the oven. The hummus consistency was a little on the chunkier side and not as creamy as I had hoped for. Bacari burger open faced ($15) - The beef is grass fed and came with caramelized onions, Worcestershire aioli, telera roll, and a fried egg. Although it was on the smaller side the burger wasn't bad taste wise. Lamb shakshouka pizza ($16.50) - This was served with pilpelchuma, arugula, red onion, goat cheese emulsion, and egg. The crust was too thin for my liking, almost cracker like and the sauce over powered the pizza, couldn't even taste the lamb. Brussels sprouts ($15.5) - These were caramelized and served with pomegranate molasses creme fraiche and julienne beets. This is a must get side when dining here. Shawarma chicken tacos ($16 for 3) - These had shredded cabbage, pickled red onion, sesame, and garlic tahini. I wasn't impressed, they were a little too plain. Crab cake benedict ($13) - Breaded claw meat, grapefruit hollandaise, and a sous vide egg rounded out this dish. It wasn't bad taste wise. Chicken schnitzel ($20.5) - This came with whipped feta, arugula-mint salad, and sumac onion. The batter was over cooked and too crispy. For dessert my group tried a pistachio sfoglia ($12) which had some great tasting pistachio cream. Although I felt the dish was over priced it wasn't bad. However my group prefered the bread pudding ($9.50) which came with clover honey custard and vanilla ice cream. Overall the food wasn't bad, they have some creative ideas. Service was a little off, but the manager apologized for some missteps in some of the dishes and adjusted the bill accordingly.

The combination of friendship and delicious dishes delivered by Almost famous was soul-warming. Metered street parking only unfortunately, but service at the restaurant was excellent. Staff were friendly, courteous, patient, and were happy to go through the menu and make recommendations. You can tell they take pride in their dishes offered. They will check-in enough to ensure everything with the dining experience is going well, but not too frequently to impede on privacy. They have a breakfast/lunch (brunch) menu that they serve from 8am up until 2pm and a dinner menu that is available from 11am to 2pm & 5pm to 9:30pm. 1. Ginger & Cardamom Chai Latte (5/5) House-made chai with ginger and cardamom. If you like herbal spices, this drink was comforting and warming. It's not sweet, which I like and it paired well with the food dishes. 2. Crab Bhuna (4.75/5) Crab meat simmered in fragrant spices then topped with ginger, fennel seed, and curry leaves. It is served with soft, subtly sweet banana buns The crab meat was fresh and honestly, you couldn't even tell it's crab. It's seasoned perfectly with the aromatic Indian spices. The banana buns were interesting ... it was a bit on the dry side, but if you stuffed the airy pockets of the bun with the crab meat, it's not too bad. The banana bun had an interesting flavor profile; a mix of sweet-bitterness to it. 3. Sweet Potato Chaat (5/5) One of my favorite dishes here. It is sweet potato chunks mixed with a sauce blend of sweet corn, yogurt, tamarind, mint chutney and pomegranate. The sauce was light, refreshing, and tangy, balancing the natural sweetness of the sweet potato perfectly. 4. Brunch Dosa Rice & Lentil Crepe (4.75/5) Basically think of a crepe, but a super large size one. I just love their crepe - it was crispy yet doughy with a cheesy flavor. The crepe was stuffed with turmeric mashed potatoes. I typically do not like mash potatoes, but when it's served this way, I approve. The dish comes with a side of 3 sauces - sambar (lentil-based vegetable curry that's often seasoned with coriander seeds, cumin, fenugreek, dry red chilies), curry, coconut and tomato chutney. A perfect dish for sharing and for trying out the various flavors of Indian cuisine. 5. Wagyu Beef Keema Kulcha (4.5/5) Minced Wagyu beef that's seasoned well with aromatic spices and onion inside an Indian leavened flat bread. Highly recommend and will be back to try out other dishes!

Dish after dish came out nonstop without feeling rushed. We were seated around 6:45 and somehow finished eating by 7:30, which is honestly impressive considering how much we ordered: caprese, polenta fries, cigars, chicken sliders, wings, broccoli, and cauliflower. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and timed so well. Also shoutout to Kai and Fabian for the amazing service throughout the night. The food is your typical bar food, consisting of burgers, wings and salads, nothing special. We ordered: "Southwest Chicken Caesar salad". It was Kale tossed in supposedly Sriracha caesar dressing, pico de gallo on the side, grilled diced chicken & tortilla strips. The salad was overall salty with tiny bits and pieces of chicken. The RRRRAWDY Burger was enjoyed by my friend and the whole wings with drums included were tossed in a very mild buffalo sauce, so they were just ok.

Ordering is a breeze with the QR code system, and we lucked out by arriving during happy hour (Monday-Friday, 2-6 PM). Great deals on both food and drinks made it even better. I had the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger with a wagyu patty and a soft, fluffy bun. At first, I missed the usual lettuce and tomato, but honestly ended up loving it just the way it came--I'd definitely order it again, especially at just $10. The happy hour fries were a standout too: crispy, well-seasoned, and a solid value. They've also got solid pizzas, a good beer lineup, and a surprisingly nice wine list. Whether you're in the mood for burgers, pizza, or just drinks with friends, this place hits the mark.

The ambiance is beautiful, and the service FANTASTIC. Our server was an absolute gem, I am so sad I forgot it. The Roofop is the kind of spot that feels lively but still relaxed enough to enjoy a long dinner with friends. The food was good, though I've definitely had better for the price. Nothing was bad at all, just not quite as memorable as I expected. The drinks, however, were fantastic. I'm not much of a drinker, but I ordered a martini and it was absolutely delicious and perfectly made. Also, the coffee I happened to order a latte and no joke one of the top coffees I had. Lots of nice photo spots. I would love to come during the day and try their brunch. Between the vibe, the attentive service, and the great cocktails, we had a really fun night. I'd come back again, especially for drinks and the atmosphere.

Arroz Negro: The little black cast iron pan preserves the heat of the camouflaged ingredients. The rice is black from squid ink, which provides a subtle briny flavor. Our group of four dined for Sunday brunch. Our last time here was seven years ago. Even though our…read morereservation was for 1:30 pm the menu was small and, essentially, brunch. But they did offer a few lunchtime items. The restaurant could be very quiet but on this occasion an obnoxiously loud group was so oblivious to the pleasure of others that some patrons chose to move outside patio dining. We also moved our table but the loud group was still very disturbing and so loud I could not hear the waitress. Most in our group ordered the le a.o.c burger with gruyère, dijon, caramelized shallots & crispy. I added avocado for extra flavor. It was presented very well on a plank and it was delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly per my order. One guest ordered the scrambled egg focaccia sandwich with hooks' cheddar, nueske's bacon & chive crème fraîche and loved it. He's usually a meat eater but decided to try something new and he was happy he did. Parking in the area is very limited, more so by required residential permit parking and lots of tow away signs. We found a spot four blocks from the restaurant. Of course they do offer valet parking. One of our guests used the valet for $13. One minor issue is the restaurant charges an additional 6% for employees health care benefits. A small amount but a sign of the times.
