Drinks

Came here for quick drinks with a friend without reservations. We were able to find a seat at the bar and eat a small appetizer! The service was quick and attentive. It was very busy this Saturday night we came The ambiance was dimly lit for dinner, busy, and loud. The restaurant was small to medium party friendly They had NA options for drinks which I ordered and my friend ordered a dirty martini

Popped up on a bustling Sunday morning with no reservation...the hostess was amazing a got us in to a patio table with an agreement thay we could finish up in 90 minutes. For the most part the service team was attentive an pleasant, brining over a stool.for my large handbag brought a smile to my face!! We worked our way though a couple of the billings (jist okay) started with the housemade banana bread served with a side of whipped ricotta and honeycomb. FABULOUS!! Breakfast was lox and bagels..the mixed schmear was everything..wanted more. We also shared the $32 BLTA..average but super fresh and wonderfully creamy chunks of avocado made the sandwich. Id go back for the views and to try their flafbreads.

This is such a dreamy spot for martini sipping with someone you have a lot to talk about with. The large low profile booths and painted dome ceiling with the massive clear view in the dining room gives such a grandiose first impression. It really feels like you're on top of the world. Came in for lunch and had delicious oysters and ragú pasta and carrots and shishito peppers and several many $10 happy hour martinis. We were celebrating my friend's bday and they brought us a tiramisu with a candle in it and prosecco!

Dante is located on the top floor of the Maybourne Hotel which is situated in a central part of Beverly Hills and consists of a large plaza with outdoor seating at the Cafe, Whisky bar, fountains and sculpture. Dante's opens up into a long dining area and a long this outdoor patio. We sat outdoors with the views and although it was a warm day, it was pleasant. I ordered the Pork Chop that was GF and we shared the following sides: BERKSHIRE PORK CHOP cannellini beans, apple mostarda & cranberry compote BROCCOLINI Sicilian olive oil & lemon (v. gf can be made vg) MIXED MUSHROOMS cremini, maitake & oyster mushrooms with garlic, shallots For dessert I couldn't indulge but my business partners shared a light Basque Cheesecake. The portions were so large I had another meal with the pork chops and sides. The pork chop was delicious with the compote of cranberry and apple mustards adding a sweet and tart taste to a very tasty chop. The sides were delicious so there were no complaints to an excellent meal with great conversation.

Was around Rodeo and had Dante on my places to eat at most, so decided no time like the present, made a quick reservation and headed over. Rooftop spot with nice ambiance and views of the Beverly area. We were able to be seated next to the terrace, so there was a nice breeze and views to start the meal. We began with cocktails, the Pornstar 2.0 and a Mai Tai. The Pornstar is a vodka and rum based martini with guava, passion fruit, lime and vanilla. Very flavorful, just makes your mouth happy. The Mai Tai was your classic version and well balanced. Fit for, we started with the oysters. Not sure flavorful, not sure where they were from or what species of otster, but they were not memorable. For entrees, the Frutti di Mare is a pasta dish with lobster, clams, calamari and tiger prawns. Ample amounts of shellfish in the dish, but, outside of that, something felt missing with the flavor. The butternut squash agnolotti, on the other hand, was delicious. The pasta came with brown butter, hazelnut, fresh sage, lemon zest, lemon juice, white wine and black pepper. There was that great flavor from the brown butter mixed with the butternut squash, and texture with the hazelnut, with the same and lemon zest making it all pop. Just a great dish, would highly recommend it! Overall, cool rooftop spot with nice vibes and nice cocktails. A little on the pricier side as two entrees, two drinks and six oysters came to over $200. I'd skip on the oysters and Frutti di Mare but absolutely get the angolotti again.

Pros: - Service was great - Views were breathtaking - Very chill and cozy vibes at night - Blood orange mocktail was refreshing Cons: - Came here specifically for the pizza and they mentioned their oven has been out for months. I'm not sure how this isn't something they can't fix based on how much they charge for food + 20% service charge. - Wanted to order mac and cheese as a side and they told me they're not making it. - Food was good, but just okay. It wasn't anything too special.

Got the chance to come in for our anniversary and was super excited. To start, the view is beautiful! We went on a slightly foggy night and it made the Hollywood hills look picturesque. We were a little disappointed with the menu options, as we came in to try the pizza that we had seen on social media only to be told that the oven was not working temporarily. We also asked about the mac n cheese (which was on the physical menu) but were told that it wasn't available. A little weird for an upscale location like Beverly Hills Dante. I ended up getting steak frites which were really good and ended up being a fun time overall

Came here for drinks while in town. We had drinks only. The vibes were cool and the piano was playing as we sat. The service was a bit slow, but It was nice overall. We wanted to order pizza but the oven wasn't working. The $10 martinis were a hit!

Brown butter and sage agnolotti -just okay

Giving a 5 for the experience! Was able to walk in and get a table at 5:30 pm on a week day. The ambiance was gorgeous! Think old money chic. Great opportunity to wear something super cute and be fancy! Not everyone was dressed up though. Views are stunning and drinks were delish!! I highly recommend the Dante Martini! Food was overall ok. Here's what we ordered: Burrata 9/10- best dish we had but you can't really mess it up. Kale chicken Caesar salad 5/10- the salad itself was great but the chicken tasted like fish. The chicken looked like it was going to be so good but somehow fishy? Brown butter and sage agnolotti 5/10- underwhelming. I'd suggest another dish. So happy I came here but I'd be happy with just drinks, views and appetizers. They also serve pizzas but it was crossed out when I went. I would have ordered the pizza and my whole review of food could have been different!

Dante in Beverly Hills is definitely not the same experience as the NYC location. Ambience and views are great, but the table and menu were dirty. The food and service are just ok....they could use some work. Our server was nice just very slow. We sat a long time before a server came and food came out before our drinks. Come for the view, but don't expect to be wowed with the food.

Luke Q.

This is a restaurant located at the rooftop of a hotel with splendid view of Hollywood. The atmosphere is impeccable with attentive service and live performer for piano. It is renowned for the cocktail which we order multiple rounds to try to appreciate the whole spectrum of diversity. They are overall well balanced and executed, especially Dante Martini, exceptionally smooth and aromatic. The appetizers are overall average and unimpressive but the entrees are rich in flavor and well executed, although price is doubled while the portion size is halved if the cost-effectiveness is the concern.

Stephanie G.

I love Dante. More specifically, I love the amazing bartenders and the martini hour! Anyone that knows me, knows I love a good martini...and Dante does not disappoint. The bar is small but cozy and service is always top notch. I've eaten bites here (caviar baked potato, risotto, grilled octopus...) and they handle Celiac well. People watching is always top notch. And the martinis...honestly, some of the best in town. They do pre-batch some, but do NOT let that stop you. Views are great. I'm convinced the bathroom is haunted. Parking is valet for 30 or hop into one of the free garages in BH.

Truffle fries wowwwww as good as they look

A small restaurant located inside this plaza in Beverly Hills that you would never know about unless someone told you. Every time I've been, the waiters, service and management have been so nice and come check on you constantly. There are several sections in the restaurant (I think 3 but I could be wrong), but we've dined in the main room which has a retractable ceiling for when it's too sunny out, they have a bar area that has a small little lounge section in the back of it, and it looks like there may be another section that I haven't been to. The place definitely gives off those Latin vibes and you feel it once you arrive. As for the food, my boss ordered appetizers for the table, which were shrimp tacos, flautas, and empanadas which were all very good! My favorite were the flautas with guac. For my main dish I went with the Chilean sea bass with a side of broccolini and rice. That sea bass was phenomenal! It had a nice sweet glaze on it with a very slit crisp texture on the top. One of the best! The Hideaway goes down as one of my favorite spots in Beverly Hills and I highly recommend checking it out. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

Dylan was our sever and he was very nice! And personable and easy going. Our order was not incorrect and it came out fresh and hot. But of course that's nothing new with Hillstone restaurants, they are all phenomenal!!! It's also located next to their sister restaurant South of Beverly. The Honor Wine is right next to it as well. It's dark and gives semi-upscale vibes! It's not that spacious since it's a bar so it's usually a long wait. I recommend coming early or trying to do reservations. I like the dark vibe it has going though. The most frustrating part of it all? Servers came off super pretentious and would intentionally walk by your table without looking to avoid you asking them anything. Moreover, the place doesn't let you make many changes to your order. For example, if you ask for easy rice on the sushi, they will say no. If you ask for them to put the avocado on the side due to an allergy of one member of the group, they will say no. Our items came out SUPER slow, and this was after waiting a while for a table. The sushi is subpar - heavy on the rice and not enough fish. However, the coconut shrimp roll was good. That all being said, I'd go back and deal with it all again for the chicken sandwich and the burger. Both were a bit heavy on the bread in comparison to the protein, but delicious nonetheless.

On multiple occasions, Elton has given me poor service and a noticeable attitude. I chose to overlook it at first, but eventually I brought it to management's attention because the treatment was consistent and unacceptable. After that complaint, the situation escalated. When I returned, Elton refused to serve me altogether. He would not look at me, acknowledge me, or take my order. I was left sitting there while being completely ignored. It became so obvious that other guests sitting next to me noticed and were concerned enough to step in and ask him why I wasn't being helped and to tell him to serve me. That should never have to happen. I then asked for the manager I had previously spoken to, Leo, because I wanted to understand what was going on. I still have not received any clear explanation. What's most concerning is that this behavior feels intentional. No employee in hospitality gets to decide who they will or will not serve based on personal feelings. If a staff member's feelings are "hurt" after a complaint, that does not justify refusing service to a guest. That is not professionalism--that is the opposite of hospitality. It was honestly disturbing enough that the people next to me told me directly that it didn't feel right and that I shouldn't come back because it seemed like I wasn't wanted there. That is not okay, especially at an establishment of this caliber. I am actively trying to get in touch with someone at the hotel who can properly address this situation, because this needs to be taken seriously. No guest should ever feel ignored, singled out, or unwelcome in this way.

I emailed the bar to make a reservation since the online system was down, and they emailed back immediately to confirm -- and even said they would surprise my mom with an extra birthday cake! Now all I had to do was wait 3 weeks until her visit so the experience could finally happen. The day arrived and I got my mom to Maybourne Bar with her none the wiser. From the moment we stepped through the door, the experience was a 1 million out of 10. Every course is unbelievable. This is a caviar tasting in the best way -- all nine courses are topped with generous helpings of delicious N25 caviar. You get sweet, salty, savory, comfort food, upscale dining, everything comes together in the absolute best way. I especially loved the deconstructed deviled egg and the lobster roll, and the ice cream was some of the best I've ever had. The chips and dip came with the cutest miniature potato chips (although I'll admit I could have used a few more), and the caviar salmon burger was super flavorful. And, true to their word, they surprised my mom with a birthday cake -- and then surprised us both with complimentary lychee cocktails! The service was impeccable as well. Each person on the waitstaff was kind, helpful, and accommodating. We loved how descriptive they were of each dish. It was also really nice of them to decide to give us an extra 2-top so we would have room for all of the courses. This is not only an incredible tasting menu, but made even more incredible by the price. 10 courses and a glass of champagne are $85. I was honestly shocked at how much we received for under $100. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. This is a true gem in Beverly Hills. I'm already planning my next visit!

The Host welcomed us graciously, wished us a Happy Anniversary, and seated us immediately at a cozy table in the corner of the busy dining room. The serving team quickly approached, filling our water glasses and again welcoming us with big smiles. We'd had some cocktails before arriving, so my wife decided to stick with a Diet Coke for dinner, but I ordered a martini that was perfectly poured, icy cold, and topped with very fresh, blue cheese olives--a great start. Interestingly, Matu does not offer a filet mignon à la carte. The only way to order a filet (my wife's favorite cut) is to order the Filet Dinner, which is a 4-course tasting menu. Perhaps they just can't get enough filet at the quality they insist on -- I don't know -- but we decided to order the Filet Dinner and share the intermediary courses, with me ordering a small Ribeye and Creamed Spinach as my entree. The meal begins with a small cup of 24-hour Bone Broth that arrives steaming hot and packed with beefy flavor. The rich broth actually coats your tongue a bit, and the flavor lingers nicely. Next would have been Steak Tartare, but my wife substituted the Japanese Caesar, which was exceptionally tasty, with flavors in the dressing I simply couldn't place, but would happily eat for days. The last of the appetizers was a duo of Beef Croquettas -- also rich and flavorful with a savory sauce that amped up the richness even further. I don't know if I could eat an entire order (the full appetizer comes with 4 croquettas). Finally, on to the steak. My wife's Filet was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a deep flavor. My own Ribeye was equally tender, with a rich flavor from the marbling. Both steaks were served the house way, which is warm and red in the middle, with a lovely crust from live fire. These folks know how to make a steak, that's for sure. Creamed spinach was much the same as most places... still, very satisfying and a great accompaniment. For dessert, we ordered the Strawberry Panna Cotta, which was served with a celebratory candle for our anniversary. Mildly sweet with a slight tang from the berries, this was a light and refreshing way to cap the meal. I have to say, this was an excellent dinner with fine service in a wonderful atmosphere. Additionally, the prices are quite reasonable for the location and the quality of the food, and our dinner here was $200 LESS than our Valentine's dinner at Cipriani, so I have to say this would be your much better bet for a celebratory night out.
