Olive Drive & Gardner Street.
Shelly K.

Great experience! Arrived not long after they opened to get a spot at a table. I ordered Olive Drive and Mocambo Cocktails, and by far some of the best Cocktails I've ever had. I really love Mocambo. The place is a great vibe and great music and great bartenders! Not a dull moment. Will definitely go back.

It's a small bar where you definitely want to have a seat other wise you'll be standing in a narrow walk way. This place is on the sunset strip. The bartender and servers were super attentive the latest time I went which can be a pro and con. A good casual place to hang with friends or to go for date night as the booths are small, just don't expect any privacy

This is seriously a good bar. Marilyn Monroe had a drink here the vibes are very nice. The old fashioned looked my friend got looked very decent. I took a break from drinking however I can't wait to come back here when I start again. It's said Marilyn Monroe was a regular here also

Old Hollywood meets well curated drinks with nostalgic classic music and a scene that makes you feel extra glamourous. Stopped by during the week, shortly after they opened, with plenty of bar seating and booth seating area. Place feels cozy, with so many details. From the wood bar paneling to the vintage sound system, it felt so aesthetically pleasant! The bartender quickly served us some water before getting our drink order. The menu itself is so creative, detailed, inspired by the Sunset Strip, with drinks named after famous music venues. This isn't your basic bar. This place curates its drinks with details and precision. Worth a stop if you are ever in the area. Fun Fact: TimeOut LA released an article, sharing Bar Next Door was on their list for Top 100 Best bars in North America. This is competing with big places like New York, Miami, Las Vegas. So to have a bar ranked worthy in your neighborhood, it's worth a visit. If you are a bar whore, you need to check it out.

Coming to the bar on Thursday and bumping into a super cool music event. This spot is ranked no. 100 for North America best bar!

I didn't just feel classy in this bar...I felt like I belonged to a well-dressed mob family secretly run by the film industry. Which might not be too far off as the building once housed Marilyn Monroe's talent agent. But I digress...this old Hollywood feel bar had it all. The smell of leather booths, secrets and someone who surely danced with Marilyn Monroe and Sinatra back in the day. The drinks were so detailed, with a backstory of each on the menu, which also by the way, was very classy. Service was great, although very minimal conversation. Maybe they are going with the mob theme and know where the bodies are buried, or maybe it's a quite bartender, nonetheless, a worthy stop for a drink.

A calmer bar located in the middle of Hollywood bar/club chaos. Perfect place to grab drinks with friends. The Chateau Marmont, was a perfect twist of a Cosmopolitan. And this is coming from someone who isn't a big fan of them. The service was incredibly friendly. There is bar seating, booths I think you have to reserve in advance, and some extra seating in the back. Parking is tricky but there is paid parking ($20) near the Roxy which is a short walk.

I loooove this bar! I walked over after a show at the Roxy a few months ago and I can't wait to go back. I love the old Hollywood vibe and the newspaper menu. My friend ordered a Manhattan and she loved it, I only had a glass of wine. Definitely will visit again.

This place is so good! The drinks are delicious, I really recommend the Chateau Marmont! Prince Pizza being next door is amazing to eat some delicious pizza with your drinks! Service is great always filling up our waters and being so helpful. The only thing I'd say negatively is the parking situation is a little hard but there is a public parking that charges $20 two blocks down!

Such a cute little bar in the heart of West Hollywood! Found this place on yelp actually and was so surprised the day I showed up. They are very very, very busy and the space is very tight so if you're not going in tight spaces, I would skip. Their drinks are very unique and not watered down to say the least. Overall, a great spot for date night!

Niaz K.

I knew my boyfriend would love this bar. He's really hard to surprise so I was ecstatic when I saw the grin on his face when we walked in. You immediately feel 'old Hollywood' as you walk through the door. Intimate booths, dim lighting, and groovy old school music. The extensive drink menu is printed on newspapers, another cute addition. They have signature cocktails, classic cocktails, beer, wine (even skin contact!), and seltzers. If you're hungry, they even offer a slice of prince street pies! The server was attentive and the vibes were great. I would definitely come back.

St Paddy's Day pistachio liqueur mixed with vodka

Great service. Great retro vibe. It was our first time and we absolutely loved it. The drinks were amazing and their homemade pistachio cream liquor that they have for Saint Paddy's day is incredible. The bartenders even made me my own drink with it mixed with vodka.

A perfect Manhattan
Beau H.

BarNextDoor is a beautiful place with upbeat art deco decor and energy to match. The bartender is Marshall and he nails a 1930s transatlantic accent with effortless charm. He also makes a great manhattan. The legend Hendo also reins over this spot and is always truly wonderful to see again in our city of angels. If you're hungry this place is also magically a pizza place all one has to do is ask. The menu is also very cool and I wish I had actually taken one, and perhaps next time, I just might (kidding kidding ... kinda :)

The presentation alone was impressive when it came to the table, but more importantly, it was cooked beautifully juicy, tender, perfectly charred on the outside, and packed with flavor. Definitely made for sharing. We paired it with the street corn, which was loaded with seasoning, cheese, and just the right amount of spice. It was the perfect side to balance out such a rich steak. The Hideaway also nails the atmosphere. It's intimate, stylish, a little sexy, and feels tucked away from everything even though you're right in Beverly Hills. The whole place makes dinner feel like an experience. Great steak, great sides, beautiful setting, and a really fun night out. Definitely 5 stars for me.

When I approached the restaurant's hostess stand there was nobody there so I just waited patiently for a few moments for someone to come. A young lady entered behind me and walked past the hostess stand carrying a cake and I assumed that she was maybe already inside. But no, she walked past me and grabbed the hostess's attention as she was heading back to the hostess stand. The hostess did help her out even though she came in after me.. And I was still at the hostess stand waiting. It did kind of leave a little bit of a mark in my mind but it didn't ruin the night for me. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. My food was good for the most part but what we ordered was not worth what I spent. I ordered the Tablita. The meat was seasoned perfectly and delicious. I also prefer a medium well steak. Several pieces of my steak were charred to the point of bitterness around the edges. My biggest issue with the Tablita is the sides are not enough to share. There was about a cup of rice and one cup of beans to split between two people. All of the sides and condiments were basically enough for one person. The grilled onions, the guacamole, the Pico and pickled onions were a great compliment to the meal, but I still don't believe the $145 price tag was worth it. I understand that this is a Mexican style steakhouse, but even at steakhouses shareable meals include shareable sides. We ordered an extra side of the Esquites and honestly, it reminded me more of corn with taco seasoning than actual street corn. Unfortunately, we didn't eat most of the corn. Also, it was my mom's birthday. I put that it was her birthday on the reservation and that was not acknowledged by anyone.. That was a little bit disappointing. Most steakhouses do some sort of a birthday acknowledgment. I can't say that the experience was completely ruined. My mom still enjoyed herself. And it was an opportunity for us to try something new. I would come back again and maybe try happy hour or tacos at the bar. But I 100% certain will never order those same items again. Bonus points for having very delicious chips and salsa and purse hooks at every table at least on the patio.

The best dining experience in Beverly Hills I've ever had!…read more From the moody decor to the food to the service, everything was so well curated and refined. The caviar omakase is the must order thing here. Everything is very small bites, but if you are mostly there for drinks then à la carte is a good option. The omakase was fantastic - nice sized portions of caviar, paired with thoughtful items like a mini lobster roll, a salmon burger, and even ice cream. The drinks are also delightful - you can taste the notes of every ingredient and nothing was too overpowering or unbalanced. But the service is by far the main reason we'll be back. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, on top of being knowledgeable and presenting the menu in a well practiced way. They made this birthday dinner so special and went above and beyond. They do automatically add gratuity but I would've tipped more than that if possible. Incredible spot in Beverly Hills and more private and tucked away than some of the overly packed tourist destinations.

We ended up at the Maybourne Bar in the Maybourne hotel, a solid B+ lobby bar that I'd visit again under similar circumstances. The space was attractive but the vibe was strange, if not uncomfortable. Just weirdly bright lighting and a different crowd from the usual L.A. bar scene (hotel, Beverly Hills). It was pretty quiet at 10:00 on a Saturday night, and we were able to grab seats at the bar. Service was fast and polite. We ordered a Midas Touch and a Big in Japan, both decent cocktails that cost a full $30 apiece. The Midas Touch was a colorful spicy margarita with El Tesoro Maybourne Edition Reposado, Empirical Ayuuk, Grand Marnier Louis Alexandre, saffron, lemon, and honey. Big in Japan was a Gold Rush variation with Hibiki Harmony, sudachi honey, lemon, sansho pepper, and yuzu bitters. There are better, more interesting cocktail bars all over L.A., but I'd recommend the Maybourne Bar if you're staying at the hotel or otherwise looking for an upscale bar in downtown Beverly Hills. You can get food, too, though most of it seems to involve caviar.

Nothing was too heavy and the portions were all manageable, not too small or too large. It took over an hour for our food to come out. Whenever we asked our waiter for an update, he seemed annoyed and would just tell us, "probably another six or seven minutes," rather than actually checking on the status of our food. He also hardly checked in on our table, and we had to ask for drink refills instead of them being offered. At one point, he even spilled food on our table, and overall the service felt inattentive and dismissive. We also had to remind him multiple times that we were celebrating a birthday, which was frustrating considering it was supposed to be a special dinner. For the type of restaurant Dante presents itself as, I expected much better service. Waiting over an hour for our food would have been frustrating on its own, but the lack of communication and the attitude from our waiter made the experience significantly worse. Unfortunately, the service really put a damper on what was supposed to be a birthday celebration.

(You can also order food from Tail O' The Pup downstairs.) The building was once the recording studio for The Doors, so we had to order The Ghost of Jim Morrison. Sean delivered the flaming drink while singing a Doors tune. Elvis in Hawaii arrived on a platter with an Elvis head on it. Lucky Tiki Old Fashioned was presented in a treasure chest with smoke coming out of it. The Flying Fish came in a cool Blowfish vessel. The Lucky Mai Tai was one of the best, the Classic Daiquiri was nicely balanced, and the Rum Barrel packed a punch.
