The bar staff know what they are doing and they are welcoming, chatty and chill. It feels like they actually want you there! My wife and I already love to swing by for a couple of post dinner drinks but we'll be back for some game day fun too - they have a bunch of screens. They don't do food BUT the couple who now own Her Little Bar also own a bunch of the restaurants nearby (Her Thai, Met Him At A Bar, and the recently opened The Night We Met). There are other great options too and whatever you go for, you can eat it in the bar. There's a good selection of drinks and the cocktails are solid. We already have a solid pub/microbrewery but this is a great bar with a different vibe. A bar has been in this location for years but we really love this new incarnation. The corridor between Wilshire Blvd and W 9th is becoming a great pocket for food and drink with good people looking for BS free good times and the Her Little Bar crowd, staff and management are a great example that. A welcome addition to the neighborhood.

The vibe is relaxed and chill - most of the seating is on couches or stuffed chairs and is comfortable. A lot of white with wood accents. The restaurant/bar is right up against the hotel lobby check-in desk, but the space is big and you don't have to sit right next to it if you don't want to. The hotel has valet parking and the restaurant does validate a couple of dollars off but it's still pricey. There's a parking lot across the street that is cheap and probably where you should park or drive around in the neighborhood and see what you can find.

We had reservations for a Sunday night and were seated at the best table in the house. This speakeasy cocktail lounge is small & dimly lit, which creates a cozy & intimate atmosphere. The Polynesian inspired décor is on point. Bamboo beaded curtains, thatched lamps, tropical prints, & an eight-foot tiki statue add to the charm. Our server Sean was fantastic with a capital F! He entertained us the entire evening. Of course, Tiki cocktails served in kitschy glassware are the main attraction but they also offer Island inspired dishes if you are hungry. (You can also order food from Tail O' The Pup downstairs.) The building was once the recording studio for The Doors, so we had to order The Ghost of Jim Morrison. Sean delivered the flaming drink while singing a Doors tune. Elvis in Hawaii arrived on a platter with an Elvis head on it. Lucky Tiki Old Fashioned was presented in a treasure chest with smoke coming out of it. The Flying Fish came in a cool Blowfish vessel. The Lucky Mai Tai was one of the best, the Classic Daiquiri was nicely balanced, and the Rum Barrel packed a punch. All the drinks were tasty and strong so we ordered a few nibbles: Coconut Shrimp, Lucky Orange Chicken, & Wok-Fried Chow Mein. The food was yummy and hit the spot. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the presentation of the drinks and ambience. Thank you Sean for making our visit to Lucky Tiki a 5-star experience. *Metered street parking.

Once you do, there's a little puzzle to solve to actually get inside. Not going to spoil it as it is pretty easy to figure out. Once inside, the vibe changes to full tiki and the experience begins. The drinks are strong, but also flavorful as they tend to come with tropical flavors to pair with the different rums and other spirits. We tried a plethora of cocktails offer the night amongst six of us. I'd say a good half of them tasted watered down, as if the ice was melting too fast. And they are usually over filled with ice, for presentation. You can also order food at the table, which comes from the hot dog restaurant below the tiki bar, so that's a nice touch to add a little sustenance to your drinking. Drinks come out as ordered, but the bar is usually full so they can take a while to get to the table. Just an FYI. Lucky Tiki is a fun bar with creative cocktails and little shows with some of the drinks, but too many tasted watered down (again, a lot of ice in the drinks). But the vibe is fun and it's a nice spot to come to with a group of friends.

We made a reservation ahead of time (heads up, larger parties of 8+ are required to order from a prix fixe menu or a minimum spending limit). The ambiance was lovely and cozy and we had a wonderful server who made our experience even better. Street parking (watch the signs) or valet parking. What we tried: - Bianca pizza - fior di latte, gorgonzola, smoked mozzarella, parmigiano, provolone. Super cheesy and delicious! - Ortolana pizza - eggplant, tomatoes , fior di latte, artichokes, basil. A hearty vegetarian pizza - Rigatoni vodka - traditional vodka sauce, garlic. Definitely the stand out of the night and the restaurant's signature dish for a reason! We savored every last drop of the sauce - Spaghetti carbonara - egg yolk, pancetta, parmesan, pecorino. So creamy and delicious! - Truffle ravioli - porcini filled ravioli, ricotta, white truffle. Loved how fully stuffed the ravioli was - Fettuccine pesto - pine nut pesto, sun dried tomato, parmesan. Omg the pesto sauce was chef's kiss! - Homemade tiramisu - topped with strawberry, whipped cream. I love a good tiramisu and this was the best way to end our meal!

Parking: We opted for valet, but if you prefer to find your own parking, there's street parking as well as a nearby parking garage. I believe the garage is around $23 for the full day, unless you're able to get your parking validated. Food: Everything came out pretty quickly, so we didn't have to wait long at all! For starters, we shared the Bruschetta with Burrata, which was enough for all four of us to enjoy. The baguette was perfectly toasted, and the burrata was so creamy. It was a great way to start the meal. Once we finished our starter, our main courses came out. We ordered the Funghi Pizza, Rigatoni Vodka, Six Cheese Tortelloni, and Spaghetti Carbonara. The pastas were creamy and flavorful, although they did feel a bit heavy. Of the four dishes, the table favorite was definitely the Funghi Pizza. It was very cheesy, and the combination of the mushrooms and cheese made it a standout for us. We ended our night with the Panna Cotta, which wasn't too sweet, but overall felt a little underwhelming compared to the rest of the meal. Service/Ambiance: The service was great! When we first walked in, it wasn't too busy, but the restaurant did start to fill up later into our meal. Even with it getting busier, our waiter continued to check in on us and made sure we were taken care of. Overall: We had a great experience celebrating our birthdays here! The food came out quickly, the service was attentive, and everything we tried was enjoyable. I can't wait to come back and try some of the other dishes!

The ambiance is pretty cool - sort of reminded me of the Portrait Bar in NYC with the paintings (albeit upside down). The lighting was the right amount of dim but not dark, and the acoustics were great - you can hear across the table. Ordered 5 different drinks between the two of us (no clue what the names are, sorry!): - a strawberry martini type drink - cocktail with fresh peaches - a tropical rum drink - a smoky whisky cocktail - a coconut rum drink Everything was on point delicious, nothing too sweet or boozy - thing the fresh fruit and herbs help quite a bit in not making something too sugary. Would definitely recommend!

The ambiance resembled an upside down library with chairs hanging from the ceiling and upside down bookshelf's and portraits. The only downside seemed that although they have a waitress it took a long time to place our order and close out at the end of the night. Loved how big the happy hour menu was and how long it went. The outdoor area was super cute at night, although I wish we got to experience the interior of the restaurant. Only saw it after heading in to use the restroom and it looked really modern chic in there. My one knock on this place was the service. Our server attended us to take our order and then never came back and we were there for nearly 3 hours. We had to wave him down several times to get his attention. He even made a comment on how he hasn't been to our table at all but didn't seem apologetic. It wasn't really busy on a Sunday night but maybe they were short staffed. I'm not sure but I'll give them the beneift of the doubt. I still would like to come back since their happy hour duration and food quality was good. Hoping the service will be better.
