Came here with a group on a whim when we were looking for a place to beat the heat and hang out in the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday. A few people got food. Most of us got a drink. I had a glass of the rosé, which was nice and cool and light. A little pricey but it is the 1Hotel. The vibe is relaxed and chill - most of the seating is on couches or stuffed chairs and is comfortable. A lot of white with wood accents. The restaurant/bar is right up against the hotel lobby check-in desk, but the space is big and you don't have to sit right next to it if you don't want to. The hotel has valet parking and the restaurant does validate a couple of dollars off but it's still pricey. There's a parking lot across the street that is cheap and probably where you should park or drive around in the neighborhood and see what you can find. read more

Love the vibes and atmosphere here. My husband and I like to go work in the lounge area and grab a coffee while we're there. It's nice being surrounded by like minded people, as so many go there to work or study. We like to take a break and enjoy lunch while we're there and the food does not disappoint. It's absolutely delicious and so well prepared. We tried the bone marrow burger and chicken skewers yesterday. 10/10 for both! The sauces are incredible even the waffle fries were fantastic. The service is great and our server was awesome. She knew when we needed something and would check in but not pushy or annoying. So glad I was able to enjoy this bar while staying at 1 Hotel West Hollywood. Met some co-workers for drinks before heading to dinner, service was fast even though the bar was busy. This is my favorite place to go to if you want to have a fancy drink with a date or friend. It's a lounge vibe so there are couches to sit on and relax. Come here and work/study, you'll stay for a while -- it's like being at home, but a fancy home lol. In addition, the drinks are always spot on and the food is really good. I think it's mostly appetizers but big enough to share and still be full. There's a server who comes around if you need drinks but you can also go to the bar and order. It's faster to go to the bar. I stayed at the 1 Hotel in West Hollywood this past weekend and while I had originally made a reservation at Harriet's Rooftop, I ultimately decided to pivot to Juniper Lounge and Garden for a more laid-back dinner option and I'm mostly glad I did. The vibe at (very, very) early dinner time (4:30pm) is a calm, earthy elegance that matches the rest of the hotel's aesthetic. I grabbed a seat at the bar inside because it's more of a lounge setup with actual tables being primarily outdoors. I kicked things off with a spectacular mocktail featuring Optimist Fresh, a nonalcoholic spirit that was deliciously impressive. I easily could've had like two more if anyone had checked in to ask! Food-wise, I started with the stuffed dates (locally smoked bacon and Laura Chenel goat cheese). They were good but not mind-blowing. For my entrée, I went with the Marinated Grass-Fed Skirt Steak (with grilled scallions and crispy potatoes), which I ordered rare, but it came out closer to medium/medium well. Flavor was nice, but...skirt steak at a five-star hotel restaurant feels a bit underwhelming. Service was... overall fine. I had to ask if I could even order food at the bar, despite making it clear I was here for dinner. My first point of contact, Mariem, was friendly but overall the attentiveness was lacking. No one ever circled back to ask if I wanted another drink - which, again, I absolutely would have said yes to - or how the food was. Despite the hiccups, I'd still dine here again. It's a really beautiful space, the mocktail was a highlight for me, and I appreciated the mellow energy at the geriatric dinner time. I'm for sure hoping they dial in the service and maybe rethink the steak cut when creating the next menu. read more

I went to this lounge with some girlfriends, and we like the couches and vibe. The focaccia was way too salty in my opinion, and the drinks were standard despite the higher price point. The restroom was clean and customer service was good. I didn't appreciate that they charge 20% auto gratuity, part of why I give 3 stars. Even though I wasn't feeling great, I had a friend close our tab to make sure we wouldn't get auto charged gratuity. So she tipped a standard 15-18%, but on my credit card I got such a high charge for one bread and two drinks. I think it's misleading for a bar to charge 20% and not be upfront that we don't have to close out our tab for that reason. read more

The ambiance is great. They have both an underground bar and a rooftop one, each with a really nice, romantic vibe, we went up to the rooftop. It's a quiet, relaxed lounge where you can actually have a conversation without shouting over the music. The drinks were fine, nothing particularly memorable. The food, however, was quite overpriced. The taste wasn't bad, but the portions were too small for the price. We ordered the chicken karaage sliders and the crispy rice. The sliders came with three pieces for two people, which felt a bit inconsiderate. The crispy rice was around four pieces for about $17-20 -- a bit too much, though I don't remember the exact price. The dessert was good, but not exceptional. If I come back, it would be for the ambiance and the view rather than the food or drinks. read more

The customer service experience here is incredibly confusing. Their website indicates they're open, but when I tried to make a reservation online, it showed as unavailable. I called one number, but the line was busy with no answer. Then I tried another number for the hotel front desk, but they couldn't provide any assistance. They mentioned they don't seem to take reservations. That's understandable, but I was just trying to confirm if they were indeed open, as stated by Yelp and Google. Gorgeous bar! I'd rate this place high for the interior and exterior alone. This bar is located inside the 1 Hotel West Hollywood is surrounded by a pretty outside area that is nice and garden like and an interior that is cozy. The place is also kept clean, especially the bathrooms which is nice. This is a great place to chill/get work done since there's ample comfortable seating areas, outlets, and WiFi. I came in the afternoon, so only the afternoon menu was available, but they have some decent options. I got the Passionfruit Martini Mocktail and it was decent, very healthy tasting. Would've tasted better with alcohol which was an option. The service was also good, the bar tender came straight to where we were seated and took our order and consistently checked up on us. read more

The restaurant is surrounded by lush greenery and warmth of candles that adds delight to your good mood. Super cute lounge cocktail bar! It's a little hard to find since it's downstairs and there's a couple of restaurants above it. Go downstairs and inside of 1 Hotel and it opens up to the bar area (which is Juniper). Lots of good seating options for both large and small groups. Great ambience with dim lightning and mossy covered centerpieces throughout. You can either order at the bar or a waitress will come take your order and check on you periodically. They were actually really good about walking around and making sure we were ok on drinks. I got one of their cocktails, the chill pill. Chill Pill - I absolutely love cucumbers and vodka so this was perfect for me! Such a refreshing cocktail! This place is great for after date night drinks or drinks with a group of friends. It looked like they had an equally cute exterior for when it gets a little bit warmer out. As it's on a hill, there's also a nice view of the city. Definitely will be back! read more

My friend, a devoted "picture taker for the 'gram," ensured that every bite was cold by the time we got to enjoy it, and let me tell you--this behavior does test one's patience. Nevertheless, I still value his company, even if the phone habit is something I might not tolerate forever. If I had wish, from a Genie, I think I would ask for people to know when a picture can be taken and a picture cannot. imagine how good our world would be if everyone had that gift. Upon arriving, we were seated effortlessly, which made the subsequent long waits for our food feel all the more surprising. It was not a busy evening, yet it felt like waiting for the first snow in March: hopeful but endlessly delayed. Sitting outside by the fire pit, we sipped on an "LA Girl," a drink--not the quintessential LA girl with sunglasses, pumps, and a bubbly personality that is reserved for other Angelenos like her. The breeze was magical. At one point, hitting in just the right way to evoke a deep sense of eternal comfort in the snap of the wind. It iss a feeling that no photo could capture, though I did think about painting the moment with the colors of the breeze. That said, the outdoor setting, while lovely, didn't exactly exude Thanksgiving vibes. It made me feel like I was in a fairy tale garden--- and fairly tales have dinners but not to honor Thanksgiving. The food, when it finally arrived, was solid. I ordered a bone marrow burger with a side of hot, crispy potatoes and some Middle Eastern dips--a strong showing. We also tried spiced nuts, hummus, flatbread with pepitas, and bacon-wrapped dates. Everything was good, but none of it screamed "Thanksgiving dinner." While the flavors delivered, the heat of the fire pit eventually wore thin, and we asked to move to the main dining room. Inside, the vibe was like a glamping experience--imagine a luxury jungle expedition with netting and tent decor. It's unique, to say the least, and felt like a backdrop for a National Geographic feature for an undiscovered gorilla tribe. The desserts--a sampling of cookies, pistachio chocolates, and other goodies--were delightful. However, the wait for coffee and dessert tested our patience to the point of frustration, requiring multiple reminders to the staff. Like you are not busy, why you are taking long? A true mystery if there ever was one. One moment that stood out was a neighboring diner: a woman in an oversized grandpa sweater, dining with her dog. Just the two of them. They exuded quiet grace, a living portrait of cozy independence and serenity. That single scene felt like a Time magazine cover just for me to behold. I wonder if she carries herself with intentional grace or was she raised to exude this grace? I wonder if charm school teaches kids to beam with grace, just like that. Final verdict: Juniper is a fantastic choice if you want drinks, stunning photos, or a memorable atmosphere. However, if you're looking for a seamless dining experience, especially on a special occasion like Thanksgiving, the long waits and service hiccups may leave you feeling less than grateful. For me, it's a "come for the vibe, stay for the photos--but maybe eat elsewhere" kind of place. And boom that is the fortune cookie thought that you need to carry where-ever you go! read more

I believe they do have live music, unsure about when that happens, I just saw the stage set up. The menu has a good amount of items available for purchase, they had a couple of eye catching appetizers on the menu. I ended up ordering their hummus and the cheeseboard. The hummus was delicious, and had a little bit of a spice just how I like it! The cheeseboard is a classic if you just want to lounge and catch up with whomever you're with. I will say it is a bit pricey, but definitely good quality food. My friend ordered their burger, and it was a pretty sizable portion. You could tell the meat was good quality! read more

Fun find on Sunset boulevard. The interior design was beautiful and very comfortable to hang out. We had drinks and the chartreuse boards along with the olive and almond plate. Drinks and snack boards were great. Fresh and nicely plated. The service was nice but the waitress seemed new and a bit confused at times. She mistakenly was ordering me Belvedere vodka instead of the Balvenie scotch. Good thing I asked for a specific year and type of barrel as she and the bar tender were trying to locate it on the Belvedere. But the worst part was that she charged our friend's credit card on file, when he specifically told her that he will pay with cash. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here just to check our Juniper but it's worth coming to if you're coming to dinner within the area. It is a little hard to find so when you get the the building go inside the building to the left and go down the stairs. Juniper is basically like the lobby area downstairs. This is an absolutely beautiful space. Its perfect for meetings or dates . Its very comfy so you can stay a while. The ambient noise is very low and calming (no loud or intrusive sounds), lighting is not perfect and it smells spa-like (if you have issues with scents, there is an outdoor courtyard too). I originally found this place through a Yelp Elite Event. Juniper is located at 1 Hotel West Hollywood. This is a fabulous place to come for appetizers, drinks, dinner, and just chill out and hang. Everything is delicious. The setting is gorgeous... Lots of comfy couches, pillows, and furry throw rugs. Live music on the weekends! Atmosphere is casual dressy, so wear whatever you want. I saw people ranging from jeans and shorts and flip-flops to cocktail dresses. We rang in New Year's Eve at Juniper, and I would definitely return. Also a great place for happy hour with friends or with your significant other. Great date spot! Really romantic atmosphere but not overwhelmingly so. Parking is valet and a little pricey, but reasonable for the area. There is a pay lot across the street, but it fills up really fast. Can't wait to get back! read more

This place is gorgeous! It's located in the 1 Hotel West Hollywood, so it could be a little confusing to find since it's valet is in the back and not the front. My friend found this place since we wanted to grab drinks before going out to dinner. The ambiance and decor is the perfect vibe for West Hollywood. You can choose to sit inside the hotel or outside. Both times we went, we sat outside in the courtyard. It was nice for pictures and they had tables to accommodate for larger parties. Just one thing to keep in mind is that they don't have a wait staff for the outdoor courtyard until 7pm. (That's what we were told the second time we were there, so we had to order at the bar and then bring the drink out). All the drinks that we ordered were delicious, my group and I really liked the LA woman cocktail. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the West Hollywood area. read more

Came here with a couple of friends late on Saturday night and it wasn't busy. Loved the decorations and comfy couches and plants. The drinks, service, and ambiance were great. The one star is for the horrible and ridiculous experience my party and I had with the valet. Upon paying for our drinks, we asked to get validated for valet (if you don't have a validated ticket you must pay the full day $70 parking rate). We got one ticket validated with a sticker. Apparently the bar was "out of stickers", which didn't seem like an issue since we already had one for one ticket (we had two vehicles in our party). My party walked over to valet to explain, the valet said nope, we need a sticker for the other ticket, and either the front desk or bar staff have it. Went and waited in line to talk to front desk... front desk staff had no idea and didn't have these "stickers" and directed us to bar. Back to the bar, bar staff said they were out... to check with front desk... nobody seemed to know what do to? A waiter ended up signing his name on our ticket in lieu of a sticker. Walked back to valet, without looking up from computer valet said they need a sticker and to get it from bar or front desk. The workers taking payment in the valet booth and the manager overseeing were dismissive and rude, and should read a book on customer service training. The workers parking/retrieving cars were kind, prompt, and great- my criticism is solely with the workers in the payment booth at valet. Went back to bar at my wits end to talk to different bar staff to try and get our car back, eventually had one of them walk out with us to valet to tell them they didn't have a sticker to give us and only then were we able to pay and have the car retrieved. The miscommunication between staff is evident. I don't need the attitude or sass, I need my car back. I don't need to hear valet payment booth worker saying "that's not my job"... Seriously? Lazy. Guess what, it's not the customer's job to go on a scavenger hunt for a "sticker"... Expected better from 1Hotels. If I come here again I will Uber so I don't have to deal with incompetent and entitled valet. read more
