The Hideaway is such a fun Beverly Hills experience beautiful atmosphere, great energy, and the food absolutely delivered. The star of the night was this massive bone-in steak. The presentation alone was impressive when it came to the table, but more importantly, it was cooked beautifully juicy, tender, perfectly charred on the outside, and packed with flavor. Definitely made for sharing. We paired it with the street corn, which was loaded with seasoning, cheese, and just the right amount of spice. It was the perfect side to balance out such a rich steak. The Hideaway also nails the atmosphere. It's intimate, stylish, a little sexy, and feels tucked away from everything even though you're right in Beverly Hills. Unfortunately, this restaurant was a really big miss for us. We had seen that they offer a $25 Girls Brunch on Saturdays, so we decided to try it while celebrating two of my friends' birthdays. There were four of us, and the restaurant wasn't very busy,there were plenty of open tables and what seemed like a good amount of staff. When we were first seated, we were given the regular menu. Once we mentioned that we were there for the Girls Brunch, it honestly felt like the demeanor toward our table changed. The service was extremely slow. We waited around 30 minutes between some of the food items, our drinks were forgotten, and we were rarely checked on throughout the meal. I'm usually pretty understanding when restaurants are busy or short-staffed, but that didn't seem to be the case during our visit. Between the long waits, forgotten drinks, and lack of even a simple "How is everything?", the experience became frustrating, especially since we were there to celebrate birthdays. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were mediocre as well, so the overall experience just didn't feel worth the time. We were originally seated inside but we requested to be moved outside on their cute patio with skylights. The fireplace was a nice touch, which would be welcome during the cooler months. I highly appreciated their purse stands & hooks at each table. We ordered from the girl's dinner menu. I had the Baja fries, Chicken Caesar salad, a melon marg-tini, & the churros for dessert. The food was pretty good. However, I did not like the fact that 1 million servers kept coming up to our table. It felt like seagulls at the beach while you're eating a muffin. Came here for the Saturday Girl brunch deal its absolutely a great deal! The atmosphere is beautiful and the food is both filling and delicious. However, the service was a bit mixed. On their website it stated that the $25 Saturday girl brunch deal was available till 4pm so we came at 3:35pm for our 3:30pm reservation. However, the hostess that sat us told us at 3:42 that their kitchen stopped serving this deal at 3:45. We were a confused, disappointed and feeling a bit misled. After some debate my friends and I almost left but they made an exception for us to get the deal which was very kind of them. Our server Bo was also extremely kind and lifted our spirits! He seriously made the brunch more special and enjoyable for everyone. Did someone say "GIRL BRUNCH" !? Went here on a Saturday Girl Brunch date and it was a good time! They have a really cute menu for this special occasion. Brunch was $25 each person and included a starter, an entree and a dessert. They also have $10 mimosas with lots of juices to choose from. The staff was so friendly and attentive. They started us off with chips and salsa which was so good! Then we had our first round of mimosas, I got cranberry for my first two rounds and then switched over to an espresso martini with whiskey (and if you haven't tried it YOU MUST!) Not just here but everywhere! For my starter I got the berries and cream which I usually don't do but it was so good I'm glad I went outside of my box. The Chantilly cream and fresh strawberries and blueberries were amazing. For my entree, I ordered the French Toast, I did not realize it was stuffed with some sort of apricot or fruit jam and was not the biggest fan of this. For dessert I went with the churros and was left feeling a bit let down. The churros needed salt to bring out the sweetness, they tasted a bit bland and the sauce that came with did not add to the flavors. Overall because it's such a cute place, the drinks are good and priced decently as well as having a large enough menu where the next visit I feel I could choose something different I would 10/10 go back. We usually come here for happy hour with my coworkers so I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet. The Hideaway is exactly that. A small restaurant located inside this plaza in Beverly Hills that you would never know about unless someone told you. Every time I've been, the waiters, service and management have been so nice and come check on you constantly. There are several sections in the restaurant (I think 3 but I could be wrong), but we've dined in the main room which has a retractable ceiling for when it's too sunny out, they have a bar area that has a small little lounge section in the back of it, and it looks like there may be another section that I haven't been to. The place definitely gives off those Latin vibes and you feel it once you arrive. As for the food, my boss ordered appetizers for the table, which were shrimp tacos, flautas, and empanadas which were all very good! My favorite were the flautas with guac. For my main dish I went with the Chilean sea bass with a side of broccolini and rice. That sea bass was phenomenal! It had a nice sweet glaze on it with a very slit crisp texture on the top. I found this cozy comfortable Mexican restaurant on Rodeo Drive tucked away in the lower level to be an awesome place to visit. Cocktail drinks were decent. Service was just decent. They were very busy, and our waitress was nice but quite rushy when taking orders. As much as the food was good overall, I do feel that the price point is too expensive. For example, the trio sampler portion was pretty small yet it costs $38. Our servers apologized and suggest another item. It was so good glad we listened to his suggestions. What made the experience more pleasant was even manager came over and apologized for the item being sold out for the day. That was really heartwarming and very kind of the people working there. It is understandable that on Sundays afternoon/evening restaurants might run out of items. For food, I can say it was one of the best Mexican foods that I had recently. The Hideaway is tucked away on the outskirts, so definitely drive slow and keep your eyes open for the small entryway that opens into an outdoor plaza shared with other businesses (food spots + med spas). Parking is available right next to the building, but the entrance to the underground garage is very small. Heads up: if you have a big truck, I'd recommend parking elsewhere. Parking details (because we all need the tea): * Underground parking at the restaurant is $15 for the first 30 minutes or $30 max for the day (I paid the $30). * About a block away, there's $10 all-day parking, but this was on a Sunday--use your discretion. Once you park underground, there's an elevator that takes you straight up to the first floor and literally drops you off right in front of the restaurant--super convenient. Now let's talk vibes. The moment you walk in, it feels like you've been transported to Cuba. Think dim lighting, small lit candles throughout the space, and an intimate, warm glow that instantly sets the mood. My guest and I were given the option to sit indoors by the bar/booths or outside on the patio. The patio was adorable--very Victorian meets Cuba meets Golden Girls furniture but tastefully done and so cute. We chose a booth next to the bar, which came with small TVs (Super Bowl Sunday, baby!). There were huge chunks of tomato in the salsa which was different, but I still enjoyed the roasted veggie flavor of the salsa. They reminded me of Filipino-style empanadas which are baked and sweet which these ones were too with the sweet dipping sauce. GND checked in regularly and definitely a pro. We had a steak, lambchops and branzino fish (which I only knew about from the Bear) along with several sides. I was also given a side of special house made spicy sauce to try (fantastic!!!). The Branzino comes with a choice of corn or flour tortilla (of course I went with the corn tortilla). Also ordered a side of cilantro rice. Wrapped all of this deliciousness in the corn tortilla topped off with the house spicy sauce and OMG it just melted in my mouth. Finished the dish in no time. Heard there was another diner who actually ended up ordering a second branzino dish. I totally understand. At the end, I received a margarita sorbet on the house. Nice location and great atmosphere for a December weekday afternoon as it was cool but we were seated outside next to the firepit which made it pleasant. The chips and salsa was slightly spicy and very addictive. Went with the prix fix menu: Chicken Empanadas- Flaky crust and filled with juicy chicken so pretty generous 2 piece starter. Beef Rib Enchiladas- Another decent portion of shredded juicy beef with a mild red sauce and melted cheese paired with bowls of cilantro rice and a black bean which made a great dip for the chips. This place is really incredible, from when you walk down to the entrance, walk through the restaurant until you sit down in a foyer type area. Everything seemed deliberate and and handpicked. The service was very nice they laid out menu and they recommended different options and items and they were all very delicious. We came during their dining La week which offered a lot of different items so we were able to try different foods such as enchiladas, empanadas, and some of their desserts. Well, I did not expect to find the best margarita I've ever had in my life here. I ordered a kiwi margarita, which is so unique, I did not expect to be blown away. The Hideaway has recently become our favorite restaurant. My wife and I LOVE this place. Drinks are delicious, food is top notch, and the environment is what really ties this place together. I came here for Saturday lunch over Valentine's Day weekend and it was just okay. The food portion is fairly small and they seemed unprepared for the influx of customers. We asked the server twice for our michelada drink and after 50 minutes it came out. There also are two different menus with different prices on it - one for lunch and a higher priced, slightly different menu for dinner. We had received one of each and when asking about the difference, they brought out another lunch menu that also had the dinner menu again.
