My cousin and I grabbed a last minute reservation for her birthday last night and WOW we had a phenomenal experience. I truly need to highlight our waitress, AMY. From the start to the very end, she made our experience so memorable! She had such a warm, inviting, demeanor that made us feel so comfortable in this space and made our dining experience so enjoyable. My cousin and I ordered the key lime martinis which were absolutely terrific. I ordered the "Only Fans" martini later on which had passionfruit and was so delicious. My cousin ordered a gin martini with a twist which was great as well! For our entrees, we ordered the Caesar salad, chicken parm, and vodka pasta and all entrees truly did not disappoint. The Caesar was classic and tossed well. The chicken parm came with marinara spaghetti, and it was amazing!! The chicken parm was superb and the spaghetti with the marinara tasted so fresh. The vodka pasta was wonderful as well, and the taste was done well! After that, my cousin and I ordered the tinx sundae and it was honestly the best dessert at a restaurant that I've ever experienced. Amy told us later on that it was vegan and was made of cashews! We also ordered chocolate chip cookies which were fantastic, and Amy even brought over bread pudding with a candle which for my cousin's bday, which was so delicious! I recently visited Craig's for my mom's birthday and Mother's Day celebration with a party of five. I want to start by saying the food was excellent, and our waiter, Christopher, was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and brought great energy to our experience. He made us feel genuinely taken care of. Unfortunately, our interaction with the maitre d', Patrick, left a very different impression. We arrived right when the restaurant opened and were initially told to wait at the bar until our full party arrived, which we understood. Once everyone arrived, Patrick seated us at a table directly behind the host stand while the restaurant was still nearly empty. On the way there, he jokingly said he was taking us on "a long walk" and called it "the best table in the restaurant," which felt dismissive given where we were ultimately seated. We politely asked if there was another seating option because we had made a reservation and wanted to be comfortable. Patrick told us they were "pretty busy tonight," despite the restaurant being nearly empty at the time. After we followed up, we were eventually moved to another table, which we appreciated. As we were leaving, we noticed a table we had asked about earlier -- one Patrick told us was reserved for a party of seven -- had only five people seated there. When I pointed out that it seemed inconsistent since we were required to wait until our entire party arrived before being seated, he said they were still waiting for two additional guests. When I questioned that explanation, he then changed his reasoning and said they were "just dining for dessert." It felt like there was a rebuttal for everything rather than a genuine effort to address our concerns. I'll let others draw their own conclusions, but the inconsistencies in how we were treated left a disappointing impression on what was supposed to be a special celebration. It is always been my safe space to land when I want to host a business meeting, hang out after an event or simply as in last night, hang solo at the bar following a long day of recording. I sat down and observed one of their most beautiful servers enthusiastically in conversation with the patron next to me. Naturally, I would have expected some acknowledgment. But there was none. I sat and waited for approximately 10 minutes at which point two young ladies attempted to order a drink and she handed them a menu and by default handed me one too, she stated mildly dismissively with no eye contact "Someone will get to you in a minute." Great!!!! I got excited because my Martini and fries would be manifesting soon. They didn't... I continued to watch her pass me by and promptly serve other patrons across the full range of the bar but not me. As a male bartender who is always kind and makes a hell of a drink took the orders of the young ladies next to me...he kindly asked if I needed something and at that point my order was placed... I was elated as I was starving. I sat for 27 minutes at a bar without any service, food or a glass of water, much less a smile. It was so odd. So odd that I would prefer not to repeat that experience again. As a customer, I have a responsibility to bring my best self to any establishment I frequent. I am not pretentious or performative and never am I rude I am just as excited to connect with servers, bartenders as I am my food. I usually walk out of there spending over 175.00 of food and drinks on my own tab. Last night I just wanted a Martini and Fries. As a former server from high school to early adulthood, I learned that I too have a responsibility to bring my best self and give the best dinner and drink experience to each and every customer. I learned a long time ago that If I don't it can have a ripple effect on the customer and business at large. Very cute spot, but the service wasn't the best. I feel like we were waiting for both food and drinks for a while, however our server was really nice. The bread that they give you was pretty good, garlicky but kind of sweet too 6.5/10. Calamari was solid, but missing a sauce 7/10. I ordered the Lobster Diavolo which had great flavor, a decent amount of lobster, and a nice kick to it. For someone that doesn't really like red sauce pastas, it was really good 9/10. My boyfriend got the chicken parmesan, it's a pretty big portion and he really liked it overall. Took a quick solo trip to LA and knew I wanted to try Craigs. I got there a little earlier than my reservation but I was seated within a few minutes. I was seated in the back area and it was so nice and warm because of all the heat lamps around. It was just as warm as inside if not warmer! I ordered the cesar salad, the bolognese, sparkling water, a cucumber mocktail and the chocolate chip cookies. They also bring you a bread basket. Overall everything tasted good but I wasn't amazed by anything. I think this restaurant is overhyped because celebrities come here once in awhile. My total came out to be $113 without tip. I've seen Real Housewives of BH (Sutton and Kathy Hilton), TikTok 'stars' (Josh Richards, Chris Olsen) and random others (Diane Warren?!) Menu both cocktails and food are no-frills. There's a drink called The Danny Ocean, and pigs on the blanket are on the menu. Don't sleep on the chocolate chip cookies though. Craig's is one of those classic Old West Hollywood restaurants that you "have to go" to at some point if you're living in LA. It's an Italian restaurant where people go to "see and be seen." They have lots of classic Italian dishes. The restaurant itself gets very crowded later in the evening so might be easier to get a reservation for earlier. I would definitely not recommend getting their pizza. The pizza was soggy, and the toppings significantly lacked in flavor and seasoning. I tried the mushroom truffle and the pepperoni margherita. Both were soggy and did not pass the "flop" test (the undercarriage of the pizza is not crispy enough to hold itself up when folded vertically). I did enjoy their "American chopped" salad, as well as their 12 oz Wagyu steak. I like that the salad had fresh corn and a zingy vinaigrette. The steak was perfectly cooked and came with a savory brown sauce (bordelaise) that you get to pour over top. Service was pretty good, no problems there. The restaurant really delivers that old Hollywood vibe, and it clearly has a long and rich history. You will see all kinds of patrons here because this restaurant has a long reputation. We came to Craig's on a Sunday for dinner. We were seated upon arrival. I have been waiting to try this restaurant for ages, I am glad I finally did it! It's a classic restaurant. We shared the Craig Caesar salad and the caviar bites. For my entree I chose the honey truffle chicken which was delicious. For dessert we chose the chocolate chip cookies . Coming into Craig's, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was in town from NYC for the weekend and decided to try the famous Craigs to see what it was all about. I was definitely cautious that such a hyped up restaurant would disappoint as many in NYC do. Fortunately, I was extremely pleasantly surprised. The food we had was all really good and there were no complaints from anyone at the table. The service was wonderful and we truly felt as though the staff cared. We were in to celebrate a birthday and they did it perfectly and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The ambience is the perfect vibe for an easy dinner and is warm yet classy. My experience at Craig's for dinner last night was just lovely! From the moment we walked in, we were so warmly greeted by the front desk. Our server was also incredibly kind and informative through our whole meal. The staff here is so great. Now Craig's is such a Hollywood spot since it's opening in 2011. Celebrities loves this place and as a local, I can finally understand why because I will surely be back. I read an article once that said Craig's clientele is diverse but overall, they all look great for 52. So true, lol! The decor is cute though, super simple and basic tables, but the artwork is dope. They also have a bar I saw some dining alone at or with a +1. Now for our eats, we had the caviar won tons shaped into tiny taco bites which were quite literally a bite. However, that bite was scrumptious pumped with creme fraiche and melted in my mouth. My friend was super kind and let me eat 2 of the 3 bites we got for $43, win. We also had the Pigs in a Blanket ($18) which was actually a bigger portion than I expected paired with ketchup and mustard for dipping. The filo shells on these little guys was perfectly done and honestly, the dogs were good. I can't get a good Chicago dog since moving five years ago and these little bite sized guys made me happy. Short Rib Ravioli ($42) was incredibly delicious. I had read in tons of articles that the food here isn't great so my expectations were not high, but those reviews from ten years ago are incorrect. I don't know if they have a new chef, but every single thing we had was great with this Short Rib Ravioli being a standout. The white wine cream sauce had perfect consistency with really nice maitake strewn atop. The raviolis perhaps could have had a bit more meat in them but the taste of this dish was stellar. Really fantastic meal and with a show at the nearby Troubadour, we were able to get in & out under an hour. Absolutely will be back soon. read more

Craig's is located in Hollywood. This place has legit paparazzi outside which makes a fun date night. Reservations are recommended by all means especially on the weekend. Craig's is American Cuisine. They have been around since 2011 and seem to be a staple in LA with a ton of regulars. Food: We started with the meatballs which were filling but not as flavorful as I would have liked 3/5. The mac n cheese is honestly phenomenal here. It was the right kind of cheesy and I was there for it 5/5 Pigs in a blanket 4/5- kind of funny they offer this at a "high end" restaurant but very delicious and very filling. There are about 8 of them. Chicken parmigiana 5/5 was the highlight of the night it was very filling and delicious ** don't skip on the chocolate chip cookies they are gooey and my husbands favorite. I think he would just come to Craig's for the cookies :) The service was a bit slow initially but got better as the night progressed. I give her grace as it was a busy Saturday night. The wine selection is also pretty solid here. Otherwise, you pretty much have to valet on the weekends as the street parking is pretty limited. read more

This review is for their Private dining experience. We were placed in the private dining room next to the kitchen/back offices of the restaurant. We also had access to a private restroom and an open air back patio area. I did not know the restaurant was so big. From the beginning, the staff went OVER AND BEYOND to make sure that we were comfortable and promptly serviced. There were 2 executives along with a host of wait staff who constantly checked on our private dining area. Due to Southern California traffic some of the party was late. They accommodated this and took our orders once everyone was seated. They also added chairs for people who were not accounted for, and played some soft mood music, along with ambient lighting. They also allowed outside decorations of flowers, and a cake. I am very impressed by the fact that they brought out the food so quick to accommodate our large party. They also kept the drinks and bread coming. I was never out of touch or looking for wait staff The food at Craig's is nothing short of spectacular. They do every dish well. I had their special Honey Truffle Chicken. A nice filling meal. Their Fried Brussels Sprouts were perfect. Also the drinks are super strong! I ordered 1 and was done. Despite having a cake, we ordered some extra desserts which included Keylime pies and chocolate chip cookies. I am a sweets person. The chocolate chip cookies were gooey and hot out of the oven. They keylime pie was done right. Overall just extremely satisfied with the food. Lastly, please note this restaurant accommodates celebrities and executives , so there is always paparazzi waiting outside. Parking is valet or street parking. Ambiance was very good inside, patio seems to be very nice too! Service from the valet, front desk, seater, waiter, and support staff is always a super customer experience! Valet is so convenient, efficient, and they again offered us bags of chocolate cookies to take home sweet! Chicken parm with rigatoni bolognese or vodka instead of spaghetti. Chicken parm is huge, breading fantastic, as good as any we have ever enjoyed with just the right amount of sauce under the cheese to maintain the right texture. I may ask for tagliatella bolognese with the chicken parm next time and Craig's is my first stop in LA! Italian is my favorite and Craig's is my favorite italian restaurant in the world and I have had a consistent high quality food and service experience for years and years! Got a chance to check out Craig's in Beverly Hills and we were certainly not disappointed! Craig's is known for celeb sightings and their wide variety of delicious American fare. We did see two famous celebs while dining here so if you manifest a celeb sighting; it will happen! Be sure to make your reservation in advance thought because they are very hard to come by! We started off our meal with espresso martinis. The espresso martinis were very tasty but a bit too sweet for my liking! I switched to red wine after and ordered the Niner which was delicious! For our appetizer we ordered the shrimp cocktail which came with 4 beautiful jumbo shrimp cocktail, lemon zest shavings ontop, over a delicious homemade horseradish cocktail sauce. My friend decided to order the Short Rib over risotto which she loved. I ordered the rigatoni alla vodka with chicken because it was a dish I kept seeing over and over again on their Yelp page so I needed to try it out for myself to see what the hype was about! It was so terrific! I loved every bite and did end up finishing the entire plate it was so good! We did also decide to get the Brussels to share for our green and they were roasted perfectly with a delicious crunch! We also decided to get dessert considering we were celebrating my friend's birthday and we ordered the classic snowball which was vanilla ice cream in a chocolate shell with toasted coconut on top! They also brought us a little piece of their bread pudding with a candle on it which was also so tasty! Overall we really enjoyed our dining experience at Craig's! Everything was top notch and the food was really delicious. My favorites were definitely the shrimp cocktail, rigatoni vodka and the bread pudding! I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I've had, especially for a restaurant that markets itself as "fine dining." I typically won't even try a restaurant with less than a 4.0 rating, and after this experience, I now understand exactly why Craig's sits below that mark. We were seated promptly, and our waiter, Anthony, came over immediately to take our drink order. Unfortunately, that was about the only thing he did promptly. He appeared rushed, and uninterested from the start. No specials were mentioned, no welcome, and no effort to create any kind of dining experience. After ordering, we noticed an appetizer at a nearby table that looked appealing. When we asked about it, we were told it had already sold out, at only 8:15 p.m. While things sell out, it was yet another sign of poor planning at a restaurant that claims to be high-end. Our reservation was for 8:00 p.m. Appetizers arrived around 8:20, which was reasonable, but before we had even finished them, our entrées were dropped on the table at 8:30. There was absolutely no pacing. We weren't asked if we were ready, and there was no attempt to space the courses. My wife and I barely touched our food because we felt rushed and uncomfortable. Despite clearly untouched plates, Anthony never once asked if everything was okay. He didn't offer another drink with the meal, just simply cleared my empty glass. Ten minutes later, at 8:40, our mostly untouched entrées were taken away and dessert menus were presented. Again, no questions, no concern, and no acknowledgment that something was clearly wrong. At that point, I was completely done. I honestly can't even comment on the quality of the food because we were never given the chance to enjoy it. Apps were just ok and my kids seemed to like their pasta dishes, but that's the only positive I can offer. To top it off, Anthony returned while my wife and daughter were in the restroom to ask if we wanted dessert. When I said no, he asked if he could take my credit card, without ever bringing the check. I've never felt so rushed out of a restaurant. We were out the door by 8:45. If you're looking for a place to be seen or hoping to catch a glimpse of a celebrity, Craig's may be the place for you. But if you value attentive service, good food, or any respect for the dining experience, look elsewhere. This restaurant clearly prioritizes turning tables over taking care of its guests. Probably the worst and most expensive dining experience I've ever had and I eat out a lot. Everything tasted like it was premade and stale like it had been sitting out for hours.
