Craig's definitely lived up to the hype! We got there right when they opened on a Wednesday and were lucky enough to grab seats at the bar. It filled up FAST, and the bar ended up being such a fun, lively place to hang out. The Key Lime Martini was incredible...highly recommend ordering one. And whatever you do, don't skip the house bread. So simple, but so good. For dinner, we ordered the Chicken Parmesan, which was phenomenal. It normally comes with spaghetti, but our bartender suggested swapping it for the Spicy Vodka Pasta, and I am so glad we listened. The service at the bar was excellent. Friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. By the time we left, the entire restaurant was packed, which wasn't surprising after experiencing it ourselves. Craig's has that classic old-school Hollywood, Frank Sinatra-era feel with a modern LA vibe. Great food, great cocktails, great atmosphere, and great service. Couldn't believe I haven't done a review for Craig's. I've came here many of times and the good use to be good. The past two times the food is not the same. I came this past Sunday for my mom's bday and I ordered the roasted chicken, pigs and blanket, and it was not tasteful. My chicken was very dry and not good. Also, the pigs and blanket was not cooked enough. For my appetizer I tried the caesar salad and I rated it as 2/5. The dressing was not good in my opinion and bland. The best dish was the Jalapeño corn. It was very tasty and flavorful. For my drink I ordered the Hennessy sidecar but I had to give it back because it was very sweet!!! just like cane sugar . The service was exceptional!!! I forgot our sever name but she was very nice and pleasant. Unfortunately, I disliked their rules here at Craig's. I was trying to take a picture of the tables and I was told I couldn't take any pics inside, which I did not like at ALL!! it's never that serious. Also, I did not like how rude the security guy was before we entered. My sister had just got out the car with her water, and he immediately said rudely she had to get rid of the water and the trash can was around the corner. Well I'm all about experience and good vibes so this made me not want to come back here. It's sucks because I use to like Craig's a lot. I probably won't be back and it's ok because must I add the seating booths are extremely tight and uncomfortable. It's hard to spread your feet out and relax. I've been going to Craig's for about 5 years back when I was vegan. Not always for full dinners, but it's a go-to spot to pop in with friends before or after plans. Whether you're pregaming at the bar or keeping the night going, it works. Street parking is hit or miss, but valet is available. Reservations are recommended, but I've walked in and been seated in under 15 minutes it really depends on the night. The service is impeccable. The GM, Emma, was actively checking on tables and making sure everyone was taken care of. As someone with a hospitality background, that level of attention stands out and I appreciate it. The food is consistently good. If you have dietary restrictions, the vegan bolognese is solid, and the lobster pasta is a must. You also can't go wrong with the tuna tartare. For starters, the fries and pigs in a blanket are easy wins, and the BBQ chicken pizza is definitely worth ordering. Drinks are just as solid, great cocktails and wine selection. I have not been here in a couple of years so I decided to take my mom here for her birthday. The food was not the same anymore. Everything was just ok. I got the branzino with spinach. The branzino was kind of hard on too and the spinach flavor was just basic. Not much flavor everything was bland. Order pigs in a blanket for an appetizer and I did not like them they need to be cooked more. Overall, the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was nice. The only thing I don't like is that the booth seating is very small and tight so it's hard to sit even with three people you have no leg room and the table is right on top of your abdomen. I genuinely do not know how I have lived in Los Angeles for 10+ years and somehow never made it to Craig's. But on this random Tuesday night, I decided to trade Taco Tuesday for dinner at Craig's in West Hollywood, and apparently I have been missing out. Now, the journey from Simi Valley to West Hollywood? That is a separate review because the freeway was DOING THE MOST. But I digress. If you're looking for an amazing dinner in LA, Craig's absolutely deserves a visit. First things first, yes, there were paparazzi outside. No, they are not there for you. So please don't panic. HOWEVER, you are still going out in Los Angeles, so I am begging you, do not leave the house looking basic. Have some respect for the city. From the second I arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The valet team was incredible. Kind, polished, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I wish I had gotten everyone's names, from the gentleman who took my car to the gentleman who brought it back, because hands down this may have been the best valet experience I've ever had. And yes, I am reviewing the valet because details matter! Patrick gave us such an amazing welcome and was absolutely phenomenal. And Emma, the General Manager? BOSS LADY. I watched her gracefully touch what felt like every single table in that restaurant. She was present, warm, engaged, and somehow made it all look effortless. That level of hospitality does not go unnoticed. Daniel, our server, was fantastic. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable, and just genuinely lovely. The cocktails were fantastic, the wine list was fantastic, and listen, love me some Rodney Strong. So naturally, I was very happy. And as someone who LOVES breakfast, seeing this beautiful menu with this unexpected mix of breakfast inspired and dinner items made my heart ridiculously happy. Seriously, I have nothing negative to say about this place. And remember, this was a RANDOM TUESDAY. The room was buzzing, the service was exceptional, and the entire experience felt quintessentially Los Angeles without trying too hard. 10/10. Would I make that drive from Simi Valley again for Craig's? Absolutely. Would I complain about the freeway the entire way there? Also absolutely. Would I go back? 100%. No questions asked. For my birthday every year, I go to Craig's to celebrate. This year my friend and I went and once again received amazing service, great food, and we had lots of fun. I have never had a bad experience here. I got the strip steak and my friend got a burger with what looked to me to be mushroom gravy on it. Every bite of every thing was delicious. My cousin and I grabbed a last minute reservation for her birthday last night and WOW we had a phenomenal experience. I truly need to highlight our waitress, AMY. From the start to the very end, she made our experience so memorable! She had such a warm, inviting, demeanor that made us feel so comfortable in this space and made our dining experience so enjoyable. My cousin and I ordered the key lime martinis which were absolutely terrific. I ordered the "Only Fans" martini later on which had passionfruit and was so delicious. My cousin ordered a gin martini with a twist which was great as well! For our entrees, we ordered the Caesar salad, chicken parm, and vodka pasta and all entrees truly did not disappoint. The Caesar was classic and tossed well. The chicken parm came with marinara spaghetti, and it was amazing!! The chicken parm was superb and the spaghetti with the marinara tasted so fresh. The vodka pasta was wonderful as well, and the taste was done well! After that, my cousin and I ordered the tinx sundae and it was honestly the best dessert at a restaurant that I've ever experienced. Amy told us later on that it was vegan and was made of cashews! We also ordered chocolate chip cookies which were fantastic, and Amy even brought over bread pudding with a candle which for my cousin's bday, which was so delicious! We have been dining at Craig's for over a decade every time we are in the Los Angeles area. Every single visit greets us with excellent food, great service and that amazing West Hollywood energy that makes this a mandatory reservation on every trip to LA. Our visit last night was no exception with a lively, but dimly lit dining room and truly excellent service. As always, the food didn't disappoint. Some of our dishes included our favorites such as the chopped salad, shrimp cocktail and caviar tacos. Last night, I was delighted to see they brought back the shrimp diavolo (which was so good) and my husband's chicken paillard will be something we order every time it's offered on our future visits. Took a quick solo trip to LA and knew I wanted to try Craigs. I got there a little earlier than my reservation but I was seated within a few minutes. I was seated in the back area and it was so nice and warm because of all the heat lamps around. It was just as warm as inside if not warmer! I ordered the cesar salad, the bolognese, sparkling water, a cucumber mocktail and the chocolate chip cookies. They also bring you a bread basket. Overall everything tasted good but I wasn't amazed by anything. I think this restaurant is overhyped because celebrities come here once in awhile. My total came out to be $113 without tip. Craig's is one of those classic Old West Hollywood restaurants that you "have to go" to at some point if you're living in LA. It's an Italian restaurant where people go to "see and be seen." They have lots of classic Italian dishes. The restaurant itself gets very crowded later in the evening so might be easier to get a reservation for earlier. I would definitely not recommend getting their pizza. The pizza was soggy, and the toppings significantly lacked in flavor and seasoning. I tried the mushroom truffle and the pepperoni margherita. Both were soggy and did not pass the "flop" test (the undercarriage of the pizza is not crispy enough to hold itself up when folded vertically). I did enjoy their "American chopped" salad, as well as their 12 oz Wagyu steak. I like that the salad had fresh corn and a zingy vinaigrette. The steak was perfectly cooked and came with a savory brown sauce (bordelaise) that you get to pour over top. Service was pretty good, no problems there. The restaurant really delivers that old Hollywood vibe, and it clearly has a long and rich history. You will see all kinds of patrons here because this restaurant has a long reputation. I've taken girlfriends from the OC, friends from the UK, etc. Also holds the record of always having some sort of "celeb" sighting there, from A-D. I've seen Real Housewives of BH (Sutton and Kathy Hilton), TikTok 'stars' (Josh Richards, Chris Olsen) and random others (Diane Warren?!) Menu both cocktails and food are no-frills. There's a drink called The Danny Ocean, and pigs on the blanket are on the menu. Don't sleep on the chocolate chip cookies though. The bread that they give you was pretty good, garlicky but kind of sweet too 6.5/10. Calamari was solid, but missing a sauce 7/10. I ordered the Lobster Diavolo which had great flavor, a decent amount of lobster, and a nice kick to it. For someone that doesn't really like red sauce pastas, it was really good 9/10. My boyfriend got the chicken parmesan, it's a pretty big portion and he really liked it overall. The valet was great, only $20. Very much worth the price. We had reservations on the patio, and were seated right away, a very pleasant staff. The patio was better than I had anticipated. I would say if you are looking to be more intimate/romantic, get indoor seating. The Caviar Bites are absolutely amazing, crisp wonton, maybe the cream cheese was a little overpowering, but the caviar was super delicious. The Oysters were fresh, and the condiments served with them were a very excellent choice. We opted to add Tabasco, each to their own liking, they were delicious without it. I would say the Ahi tuna was another highly recommended choice, very delicious. For the sides, we (three of us) chose the Jalapeño Creamed Corn and the Cremini Mushrooms, both were very delicious. I was fairly disappointed with the Waygu, they trimmed it up, looked more like a New York, but was chewy, but tasted fine. Someone at our table ordered the Filet, so I had a bite, very tender great flavor. I recently visited Craig's for my mom's birthday and Mother's Day celebration with a party of five. I want to start by saying the food was excellent, and our waiter, Christopher, was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and brought great energy to our experience. He made us feel genuinely taken care of. Unfortunately, our interaction with the maitre d', Patrick, left a very different impression. We arrived right when the restaurant opened and were initially told to wait at the bar until our full party arrived, which we understood. Once everyone arrived, Patrick seated us at a table directly behind the host stand while the restaurant was still nearly empty. On the way there, he jokingly said he was taking us on "a long walk" and called it "the best table in the restaurant," which felt dismissive given where we were ultimately seated. We politely asked if there was another seating option because we had made a reservation and wanted to be comfortable. Patrick told us they were "pretty busy tonight," despite the restaurant being nearly empty at the time. After we followed up, we were eventually moved to another table, which we appreciated. As we were leaving, we noticed a table we had asked about earlier -- one Patrick told us was reserved for a party of seven -- had only five people seated there. When I pointed out that it seemed inconsistent since we were required to wait until our entire party arrived before being seated, he said they were still waiting for two additional guests. When I questioned that explanation, he then changed his reasoning and said they were "just dining for dessert." It felt like there was a rebuttal for everything rather than a genuine effort to address our concerns. I'll let others draw their own conclusions, but the inconsistencies in how we were treated left a disappointing impression on what was supposed to be a special celebration. Coming into Craig's, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was in town from NYC for the weekend and decided to try the famous Craigs to see what it was all about. I was definitely cautious that such a hyped up restaurant would disappoint as many in NYC do. Fortunately, I was extremely pleasantly surprised. The food we had was all really good and there were no complaints from anyone at the table. The service was wonderful and we truly felt as though the staff cared. We were in to celebrate a birthday and they did it perfectly and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The ambience is the perfect vibe for an easy dinner and is warm yet classy. My experience at Craig's for dinner last night was just lovely! From the moment we walked in, we were so warmly greeted by the front desk. Our server was also incredibly kind and informative through our whole meal. The staff here is so great. Now Craig's is such a Hollywood spot since it's opening in 2011. Celebrities loves this place and as a local, I can finally understand why because I will surely be back. I read an article once that said Craig's clientele is diverse but overall, they all look great for 52. So true, lol! The decor is cute though, super simple and basic tables, but the artwork is dope. They also have a bar I saw some dining alone at or with a +1. Now for our eats, we had the caviar won tons shaped into tiny taco bites which were quite literally a bite. However, that bite was scrumptious pumped with creme fraiche and melted in my mouth. My friend was super kind and let me eat 2 of the 3 bites we got for $43, win. We also had the Pigs in a Blanket ($18) which was actually a bigger portion than I expected paired with ketchup and mustard for dipping. The filo shells on these little guys was perfectly done and honestly, the dogs were good. I can't get a good Chicago dog since moving five years ago and these little bite sized guys made me happy. Short Rib Ravioli ($42) was incredibly delicious. I had read in tons of articles that the food here isn't great so my expectations were not high, but those reviews from ten years ago are incorrect. I don't know if they have a new chef, but every single thing we had was great with this Short Rib Ravioli being a standout. The white wine cream sauce had perfect consistency with really nice maitake strewn atop. The raviolis perhaps could have had a bit more meat in them but the taste of this dish was stellar. Really fantastic meal and with a show at the nearby Troubadour, we were able to get in & out under an hour. Absolutely will be back soon. read more
