Well, this was my second time here. Both were business dinners and this is my choice for a business dinner. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is calm and warm. The music selection is quite diverse and a great touch. The dessert was definitely worth the wait. read more

Where do I begin.. I've never heard of Pace before, but my boyfriend suggested it for my birthday dinner. We work in the service industry so it's always a great sign to hear about a restaurant via word of mouth rather than a TikTok suggestion or something of the sort. And let me just say I was absolutely blown away by the service, the interior decoration, and quality of the food. Before coming in I knew that Pace prides itself on being an organic, farm to table restaurant. I mean after all, what restaurant in La doesn't claim to be organic. However, within the first few bites of the pasta and lamb shank that we ordered, I could completely tell just how truly authentically organic the food really is. It was something genuinely special and delicious, I'm not quite sure that I can even put into words just how good these two dishes that we ordered were. We had multiple servers throughout our dining which normally is indicative of a restaurant where the employees are truly a team, a nice well oiled machine to say the least. And the best part... they have blue cheese stuffed olives :0 !!!! My boyfriend hates blue cheese and I made him try one and even he was blown away. Anyways, you can truly tell the amount of particular attention to detail Pace puts into its conception. One of my new favorite restaurants and I'll definitely be back!! :-) read more

I don't know why it took me so long to try Pace, but I'm glad I finally did. The restaurant has unexpected charm, and we had a great date night on the patio. We had a 7:30 p.m. Saturday reservation, and the dining room was packed. The host was very accommodating, offering several seating options. The indoor space looked lively and cozy, but we chose the patio for a more relaxed feel. We ordered the bread, which took a bit to arrive but came out piping hot and worth the wait. Our waiter checked in a few times to apologize for the delay, which we appreciated even though we didn't mind. We tried the cedar plank salmon and the lasagna based on strong reviews. The salmon was good but a bit underwhelming--the smoky cedar flavor overpowered the seasoning. The lasagna, however, was outstanding and fully lived up to the praise. The atmosphere is a great balance of casual, intimate, and lively, making it suitable for both date nights and celebrations. Parking can be tricky, but valet helps. I'd definitely return--especially for the lasagna and another evening on the patio. read more

Been wanting to try this spot for a long time and we finally did and loved it! The ambience was 10/10. It was such a vibe just being there with my friends and enjoying our time. It was very cozy and intimate perfect for a date spot too. The service was good too our waiter was good at explaining everything and coursed our food out perfectly and we weren't rushed at all. The food was great too. The caeser dressing was delicious and the caprese was so refreshing. The pastas were great we loved the tagliatelle and tortellini. The ravioli was good too but I wouldn't get again it was just nice to try one time. We were sad we couldn't get the vanilla gelato as the batch wasn't good and the cookie platter wasn't good either the cookies were dry and not great. The drinks were great. Would so come back. read more

While reading Christina Applegate's memoir, she mentioned the Insalata Vegetale which sounded absolutely delicious. I was recently in Los Angeles and made a point to go to Pace in the Laurel Canyon Market and get a salad to go. Oh My God it was absolutely DELICIOUS!! The staff was amazing and the interiors looked so dark and cozy. Next time I am in the area I am DEFINITELY making a reservation to have dinner ! So good! Thank you Christina for mentioning Pace in your book read more

The food and ambiance are always the best!! One of my favorite lasagna's I've had in LA, the pizza on the special's menu had the perfect balance of crispy and fluffy on the crust. The service was ok, they were busy so it was pretty slow but it happens. Definitely a fun date night or group dinner!! read more

Best service ever. Food is absolutely delicious. Kimberly, our server, was great AND a Scorpio. If you ever want to have the best salmon in the world, this is the place you MUST GO! It's every bit worth the high price of $50. The pecan pie was not tasty at all. Cold with no flavor. Hard PASS. Spaghetti bolognese is top notch DELICIOUS! Also the Mike Jackson salad is not on the menu, but please ask about it, it's soooooo good. The lasagna is outstanding as well. Light, fluffy and filling. Great place to take a date. Nice, warm, cozy with dim lighting...can make for a sexy, flirtatious evening. read more

This was my second time dining here, and unfortunately, the experience felt completely different from my first visit. From the beginning, we felt somewhat unwelcome. The service was inattentive and noticeably different from the attention being given to other tables around us. It took an unusually long time to be waited on, and there was very little follow-up throughout the meal. Overall, the interactions with the staff came across as dismissive and, at times, simply rude. The food itself was fairly mediocre. I ordered the lobster ravioli and unfortunately found quite a bit of shell mixed into the dish, which made it difficult to enjoy. I also ordered a glass of wine but was charged for an entire bottle. Any one of these issues on its own could have been written off as an unfortunate one-time mistake. I could overlook an incorrect charge or even a disappointing dish. What ultimately changed my opinion was the combination of everything--particularly the poor service and the feeling that we were not welcome. Based on this experience, I don't think I would return. read more

The cedar plank salmon is divine. Moist, flavorful and huge portions. It's not even what I ordered and that dish is a stand out. We had dinner reservations at 7. We were 40 minutes late and they still accommodated us. I was humbly impressed. We were late because I got off work at 547 and still had to shower, dress and drive to my date's house. It was chaotic and I apologized. They were very kind. We were seated across from the aquarium and the layout bothered me. They had an Angel fish in with huge Gourami and that is a mistake as these 2 will fight due to being territorial, semi aggressive and too alike. The Angel fish kept chasing the biggest Gourami around the tank. They also had single fish that need to be in schools to feel secure. Like a lone neon tetra is just sad. Etc. I do not like this. They can afford better care and consideration of their aquarium. Period. It bothered me and my date made me shut up about it and not say anything to the staff because they probably wouldn't get it. I ordered the 88 dollar ribeye Medium rare. It came out more Medium but it was good so I kept my peace. I had roasted potatoes and kale. The kale was okay. The potatoes were tasty. I would return it just pray they show more compassion and care to the fish they keep. Staff is a finely tuned machine. I am deeply grateful and impressed with their friendliness, warmth and efficiency. read more

Initial customer service was not a warm welcome at hostess desk or bar. After being seated the waitress eventually warmed up w/ a smile only after we ordered. The food was delicious. The white beans were very favorable, but too salty - I'd rather they be too salty than unseasoned. The green beans were very nice, as was the rosemary bread. The mint julip drink was strong, but enjoyable. I plan to be back, and really hope for better customer service from the moment we enter :) read more

Wow! This is an amazing, intimate dining experience. Tucked away in Laurel Canyon underneath the Country Store is this gem of a restaurant. We didn't have reservations but were luckily able to be seated. It was busy. We ordered some bread and mussels for appetizers. Very good. The main courses we decided on were Seafood ravioli, salmon and a burger for my daughter. My wife said the ravioli was amazing. I thought the same about the salmon dish. My daughter ordered her burger medium, but was under for her liking, but good. She thought the bun was a little too much bread for her. Desert was spectacular. Crème Brûlée, Tiramisu and warm chocolate cake. We couldn't have been happier. Fantastic service and exquisite food and decor. Definitely five stars! read more

I love this side of town, it's in a secluded neighborhood with a storied history of days of yore! We were celebrating a friend's birthday and were given what seems to have been the top notch one in the outside dining area. The place has a rustic vibe that permeates through its walls! Our server Kimberly was an added plus who exuded a really nice demeanor, you could tell that she was proud of her establishment! She observed that I had made a Dulce de leche Rogel cake for the birthday girl, and offered to take it to the kitchen, it was a lovely gesture! Kimberly took our drink orders and since three at the table drank red wine, they opted for the super Tuscan bottle. I ordered a Hendricks gin martini, all of which were swiftly delivered with my martini perfectly cold, 2 olives and a twist. As an appetizer we opted for the wonderfully tasty mushroom pizza with a perfectly puffed boarder, it was devine! My main course was Red Snapper perfectly paired with sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes, it was sumptuous! The others ordered, lasagna, spaghetti bolognese and pasta pomarola they were very pleased with their choices. It was a lovely surprise when later on our server came out with the cake with birthday candle glowing, it was magical. I Will definitely return to try the myriad of other choices! Thank you! read more

Came here for dinner on a weekday. We made reservation, the ambience is very unique, kinda like a cave house. It's in the middle of the Hollywood hills, there's valet parking. I don't think there's a whole lot of restaurants out there that are similar in terms of the location, the restaurant itself is a vibe. We ordered Caesar salad (7.5/10): it's a nice Caesar salad, not overly saucey. Normal portion. Waiter asked if we want anchovies, great. Lobster Papardelle (Daily special) (3.5/5): Pasta is perfectly al-Dante. But overall it's very alright, nothing special. I think their pasta on the regular menu is probably better. Sauce is great but won't really hang onto the pasta-- sauce is sauce, pasta is pasta. Green peas also don't really complement the flavours. They substituted with fettuccini without telling, which is alright but expecting higher standard of hospitality in this restaurant. Lamb Entree (7/10): We ordered medium, but turns out to be medium rare. Meat quality is good, comes with two lamb chops. Meat quality is decent, comes with two side of your choice (grilled potatoes and asparagus- nothing special). Served with pesto sauce. Snapper fish entree (6.8/10): it's good but nothing special, basic grill fish. Comes with mashed potatoes and green beans (green bean is alright, mashed potatoes is not bad). Cocktails (7.8-8/10): we ordered drinks as we were waiting to get seated. Dirty martini, mojito and gin cocktail. All of them are decent, not watered down and up to standard. Chocolate lava cake (9.5/10): BEST thing of the night. If you would like to order this, you've to do it once you seat down because it'll take time to prepare. Comes with berries and ice cream, the one we had was undercooked so it's super creamy inside! Yum! We sat outdoor and the ambience on a summer night is really cozy and intimate. This place is great for date night/ birthday celebration if you want a more intimate atmosphere, no loud music and you can have conversations. Service is decent, our server is attentive and gives good recommendations. There are no views or any photo spots in this place, but I think the establishment itself is a vibe and worth check out at least once. I think their pizza looks good and wished I've tried it, I'd order that if I come back again. I really enjoyed the atmosphere but food is nothing special. read more

Pace is one of the IYK-YK Italian spots around Laurel Canyon. Their pastas and pizza are truly amazing and tasty, the restaurant and ambiance is very cozy and chill. They also have an amazing wine selection. However, the service can for sure get improved, They are extremely slow, restaurant itself is very small and having servers running around lower the comfort level. read more

Pace is such a hidden gem tucked away in the hills of Hollywood. From the moment you walk in, it feels intimate, romantic, and effortlessly charming. The candlelit ambiance and cozy layout make it perfect for date night. The food was delicious -- everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. My pasta was rich and perfectly cooked. My partner's pasta was slightly overcooked, but honestly nothing to be worried about and it didn't take away from the overall experience. You can tell they care about quality. The wine selection paired beautifully with the meal. Service was attentive without being overbearing -- they really let you relax and enjoy your experience. If you're looking for something that feels a little more special and elevated (without trying too hard), Pace is definitely the move. It gives main character energy in the best way. read more

I just remembered how bad this place was and had to remind y'all. Extremely rude hostess who acts like you don't exist. Even if you have a reservation expect to wait 15-20+ minutes for your table. Easy to miss while driving along Laurel Canyon, this hidden gem is well worth seeking out. We're so glad we spotted it and made reservations to celebrate our holiday dinner. Valet parking is available just north of the grocery store attached to the restaurant; however, if you arrive early, street parking may also be available. Our evening was truly elevated by the exceptionel hospitality of Ruben. He was patient while taking our order and shared heart warming stories about the history of the restaurant, the chef and the staff. From start to finish we were made to feel genuienly welcomed and cared for, and every recommendation he offered was sincere. His personal attention was truly the highlight of our evening. Originally a pizzeria, Pace now makes its own pasta and it shows in the freshness and silkiness of every decadent bite. I especially loved the tortellini di zucca e ricotta, served with a sage white wine cream sauce that was delicate, slghtly sweet and simply delicious. The nightly special filet mignon was perfectly tender, cooked to the ideal temperature, beautifully charred and full of flavor. Finished with truffle butter, the steak developed a deeper, richer taste and was served in a very generous portion. It was accompanied by mushroom gratin and broccolini, both equally generous and delicious. The cocktail selection is fair. We ordered Pace's version of a margarita and a basil infused vodka cocktail, both refreshing and well balanced, with just the right amount of alcohol. Overall, a wonderful dinning experience marked by excellent food, warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. We will definitely be returning to try their pizzas as we saw almost every other table having ordered it. read more

While the vibe and food were decent, and the manager was an understanding hero, the patio staff's behavior was completely unacceptable. Before we even sat down, my boyfriend overheard a tattooed server say he "didn't want to serve us" and was passing our table to someone else. We chose to sit outside and asked for the heater to be turned on because it was cold. When a larger family arrived, **the tattooed server told another server to turn the heat off without even considering us, even though we were there first.** When we questioned it, he indifferently told us to "talk to the manager." It was glaringly obvious the staff was catering to the larger party at our expense. We felt uncomfortable. The manager was wonderful and immediately turned the heat back on, but the staff completely ignored us--service after that was nonexistent. Literally , they poured our water and never asked again. The male patio staff carried awful attitudes and were openly bickering with one another. To the staff: you need to be far more self-aware. Customers can see and hear everything. read more

I've driven past here so many times and never had any idea this place was there. Valet parking only for $14 - Venmo And Zelle accepted. I ordered the cedar wood salmon plate which is one of their more popular dishes- it was so delicious and flavorful. We also tried one of their pizzas and it was also really good. For appetizers we tried the salmone affumicato which I personally don't recommend. It wasn't anything special and honestly tasted like they just opened it from a Trader Joe's package . The employees were friendly and overall I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. read more

The food was great but the service was horrible. We were on the outside patio and the ambiance was beautiful. Our night was tarnished by our server Toliver. At first we wanted to understand it's busy and that he needs time to check on other tables (3-4 other tables). However, he checked on the other tables multiple times, even some that were right next to us and never asked us if we needed something other than when we ordered our food. There were TWO tables a foot away and they were checked on multiple times through out our meals + got their waters refilled. However, not once were we checked up on since we put in our order. Delicious perfectly cooked well portioned pasta! I got the tortellini and loved it, tried my sister's ravioli and it was delicious. Omg that chocolate lava cake... whattttttt..... sooo good! We were celebrating my sister's birthday and they brought her this adorable and delicious cookie plate. The art everywhere and crayons/paper for customers brought so much joy to our night! Really a lovely ambiance, fancy and funky at the same time, just perfect! Not overwhelming but lots of fun and tasteful little details to notice. Service was outstanding. Pro-tip: why pay the $25 valet fee when you can find a spot on a side street up laurel canyon? Pro-tip 2: visibility is lowered at night, and walking on laurel canyon can be dangerous, so why put your safety in danger when you can pay $25 and have valet do it for you! Took a date here. For a first (and consequently last) this is place you take your girl, not a date. It's deceptively pricey? So be prepared. However? The food is amazing! In fact, all the neighboring tables meals' looked pretty pitch perfect in terms of visual presentation. This is precisely what I want my American -upscale Italian restaurant food to look like. I don't normally order lasagna; But after glancing at all those yelp pics, I found it irresistible to the least. And it was fantastic! Probably the best lasagna I've ever had. It was meaty, savory and seasoned correctly. Cut and layered geometrically with integrity, Not over cooked. Not undercooked, and had a few 'bake burns' in all the right spot. It's rustic and bright color palate made it Pretty flawless. Green beans were seasoned, buttered, and fresh. My date ordered the roasted chicken -/ didnt get to eat, but once again, looked like a work of art. While the food great, the price is extremely restrictive. Added Two wines, a beer, and mineral water, the bill was something like $140 which is way too much for a party of two. Now, pace is deeply rooted within the 'biz. You might find a famous celebrity or director here. And within that narrow range, if it was work related, I'd definitely looking forward coming back. The food while great, price wise, you can do better. Pace is fine at a one and done rate (unless it's work related ) read more

Best dining experience we've ever had . Family of six ( four children ) were pleased and impressed at every level imaginable. Kimberly and Alejandro were amazing , Sandy and Sammy were wonderful. The whole team at Pacé provided a memorable evening with exceptional service and great recommendations. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection (one of the best filets I've ever had; comparable to the Golden Steer and Del Frisco's). The Halibut was full of flavor and flaky with a nice crust. The kids loved the pizzas . Drinks were well balanced with a great presentation. We enjoyed the chocolate cake dessert. The ambiance and vibe was mellow with a very nice mood . First time back to Pace in a while, and it's even better than before. We were seated on the covered, heated patio, which was very comfortable despite the restaurant being "Saturday night busy." This was a surprise, as we came on a whim without a reservation, and were originally told we would be seated at a communal table -- but the friendly Host found us a 2-top, and we still had a nice time chatting with the people seated next to us. In addition to the great care we received from the Host, our waiter was very attentive and took very good care of us from start to finish. Something new to us, given that it's been a couple of beats since we dined at Pace, they've now gotten a full liquor license. Their cocktail list is very interesting, and I'll make my way through the options soon enough -- but this time I was in the mood for a traditional Gin martini, and they whipped up a perfect specimen, served with blue cheese olives and just the right chill. A simple appetizer of olives and pecorino was a great, light accompaniment to the cocktails and fresh baguette that came hot from the oven. For mains, my wife ordered her favorite: the cedar plank salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Garlicky and herbaceous, with a squeeze of lime, the salmon has a terrific balance of spice and citrus, making the entree somehow substantial and light at the same time. I ordered the Mamma G's Pizza, which is topped with homemade pork sausage, caramelized fennel & fresh mozzarella. The crust was light and crispy, and the toppings were packed with flavor -- the sausage was lean and meaty, and the caramelized fennel added a nice, Earthy sweetness. This is an excellent pizza that may have to move into the "appetizer for the table" slot the next time we visit with other people. Pace is a bustling and convivial place to dine, with a genial staff and fellow customers that are poised to have a good time. The atmosphere is calming despite the bustle thanks to muted lighting and a communal warmth that edges into every corner of the space. There are many lovely options on the menu, so make a plan to go soon and enjoy. read more

Great restaurant and service! It's also a very cool vibe. Highly recommend the chocolate cake for dessert.

Early one of my favorite restaurants to visit for a romantic lowkey dinner. The pasta here is to die for, I'm obsessed with the butternut squash tortellini. Fantastic wine choices, a bit pricey . Grilled Salmon was fantastic. My only complaint is the olive dish came with like 3 olives for 9$ . No garnish , just plain stacked on a dish. Other than that haha... the ambiance is great, dim lit rooms, booth seating, feels almost like you're in a cellar in Italy or something. Service was nice, but really it's the food that is the star of the show here. Make a reservation to ensure you get seating in the main room. Perfect cute , lowkey, secret, date night spot.
