Besides the cute lil ambiance they got going this restaurant ain't it. We celebrated two birthday and attended their Sunday Brunch. This place is located right outside the Hilton Hotel near Universal studios. Valet is $20/ self parking $15. We sat down on time. We had on waiter for 29 people. The waiter we had was a nice guy but his manager was a prick. The manager stopped our waiter many times to speak with him about things that didn't matter at the moment. However never thought to help the waiter with such a big party. Since they were under staffed. The brunch menu was limited. The chicken and waffles which was a popular order in our party was not good at all. Most sent it back. The French toast and lobster omelet was good. I probably would not come here again willingly. Your better off just having drinks in the hotel. I wanted to try this place, I did that and I'm done read more

My friend had her birthday dinner here yesterday. Pros: The staff and waiters are polite. There are cute areas to take pictures with lots of floral decor. They will validate your parking which is going to save you money. The drinks are great! I had a sangria handmade by the bartender. The waiter brought complimentary baked corn bread and it was tasty. Cons: my friends and I got the scallop and shrimp risotto. We all noticed the risotto was under cooked and crunchy. Our other friend got lobster tacos and she said it was ok. They were so tiny! Highly disappointed with the main dish and will not be returning. read more

I visited this place for a family member's birthday brunch and I would not recommend this place one bit. I'm sure this place gets its hype from instagram and tik tok because of its decor and opportunities to get cute photos, but if you look behind the camera you'll learn this place is in the parking lot of the Hilton. The food and all the drinks get ran from inside the hotel and you have to go inside the hotel to use the restroom. This place is aesthetically pleasing and is decorated cute, but again it's just in the parking lot. The food is super overpriced and not worth it at all. There are tons of restaurants nearby that you could spend your money on and those places would taste way better. Additionally, the website and menus specifically state that "This is a no tipping establishment." You are automatically charged a 15% facility fee on all checks. I personally do not understand what the no tipping establishment means because our server questioned us and was angered when we didn't leave a tip and brought up the policy that is written on their menus. But we assumed a portion of that 15% fee goes to the server? Apparently it does not. Our server was really upset about not getting a tip, but again why does the website and the menus say this is no tipping facility??? I truly do not understand this. I have no problem tipping, but just assumed the gratuity was already included? Some people in my party got the bottomless mimosas and we kept having to ask the server for a refill on champagne. At most brunch places I feel like they always do such a good job of making sure the mimosas are constantly flowing but here that is so not the case! It's a small thing, but for brunch and when you're paying $28 for bottomless mimosas I expect the glasses to stay full. The servers are also not that friendly and nice. So that was pretty annoying because when you're paying a decent amount of money to eat at a place you shouldn't be treated like an inconvenience. The margarita flight I got was not bad and the truffle fries were tasty but pretty oily. I definitely won't be back and I recommend people spend their hard earned money at better brunch places because there are a ton of great brunch places in this area. If I could leave zero stars I would. This is not a fancy place with a view. It's just a pop up in a parking lot. read more

Came here with some friends for a nice dinner, have to say it was pretty dead considering it was a weekend. The food was okay, the drinks were pretty, was a little surprised we had to walk to the hotel to use the restrooms and it's crazy they charge a facility fee considering we are literally in a parking lot pretty much. Honestly would have to say this is a pass. read more

Went out for "Ladies Dinner" as advertised on instagram which is a prix fixe dinner for 2 but unfortunately it appeared to not be an option anymore? Still had a great time and enjoyed our food as we have been there on multiple occasions before but it just felt like false advertisement and made me a little silly for even bringing it up but I double checked the instagram and it's from 4 days ago and indicates it goes on every night? read more

If you're into social media and posting pictures/ videos, I highly recommend visiting and dinning at this restaurant. We went for brunch and ordered chicken waffle, churro French Toast and Coope Deville. All three tasted really good. No complained about the taste. I thought cayenne Chicken waffle would be spicy, but to my surprise it wasn't spicy at all. It had the perfect seasonings and flavors. This is no tip facility. They automatically charge 15% service fee. On the check there is option to add tip too. This is an outdoor dining area. There are plenty of tables. I would highly recommend making reservations since it gets really busy. Parking is either self parking or validate. For self park they validate. read more

5 Stars no doubt. The couple of times we were here the food, the ambiance and the service never fail. Our favorites are the avocado toast, the margarita flat bread, chicken, salmon bagel. They have a wine selection and dessert menu to die for. There is valet parking, that you would need especially on weekends read more

We tried the avocado toast, salmon salad, lobster tacos, truffle fries, and their signature cocktail. First off, the place has such a great vibe, an open air setting filled with flowers, giving off total summer feels. The lighting is soft and natural, making it both cozy and Instagram worthy. The service was also really good, everyone was friendly and everything came out fast. As for the food, I honestly didn't expect much at first, but it really surprised me. The lobster tacos were loaded with real lobster meat and had a great crunch. The truffle fries were big, crispy, and full of flavor. The avocado toast was fresh and tasty, and the cocktail looked amazing and tasted just as good. Even though it's a pretty popular spot and can get busy, it's totally worth visiting. I'd definitely go back and recommend it to others. One more reminder. Don't forget to get your parking ticket validated, or parking will cost a fortune! With validation, it's only $8. read more

We came here to celebrate our New Yorker niece's birthday, who went to Universal during the day so we ended up looking for a decent restaurant near the area. We were a party of 18, and overall was OK for our group size. The place had Instagrammable ambience, however, the food was just mediocre. Our waiter was just OK. He made a mistake in one of our orders and instead of apologizing, he made it sound like it was our fault. He ended up correcting it in the end. There was a valet parking available from the hotel nearby , but I didn't realize that there was also a self parking which would have been cheaper available. read more

Went to Five On The Hill last night for a date and it was such a great experience. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and honestly looked just as good as it tasted. Service was on point too our server checked in just enough without hovering, which made the night even better. The whole vibe of the place was perfect for a date night comfortable but still classy. Everything from the way the dishes were plated to how smoothly the evening flowed really stood out. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. read more

The ambience and the service were amazing and that's why I am giving three stars. As for the food... none of it was seasoned! NONE OF IT! Salt n Pepper nor hot sauce could save anything. I had the surf n turf omelet and my friends and the chicken and waffles. We all had food on our plate and none of us took to go boxes. The mimosa flight was beautiful and one of my friends got a virgin pina colada that she said was delicious. This is a spot for cute IG pics and vibes, only. Don't go there thinking you're going to be eating good. Cafe Sierra in the Hilton has far better seasoned food, which is surprised seeing its buffet style. read more

First timer!! Came for a surprise birthday brunch and it was very nice and peaceful. Around 11:45am and not many people. Got ourselves mimosas and they WERE SOOOOO GOOD! Downed like 6 and was really feeling it, they are very attentive at refilling both mimosas and water. The restrooms are inside the Hilton hotel. The food was very delicious and not filling but the drinks were. I got the Korean ribs and they were 10/10 a bit pricey. Would come again if I ever had another event or birthday celebration, good service and great atmosphere! read more

It was an amazing view!!! A little windy but gorgeous and they were very accommodating when I got too cold to take the breeze and I took enough pictures for the 'gram the staff came twice to adjust and accommodate me with the shades to block the wind thank you drinks were definitely worth the drive alone. Annnnnnd that is not taking away from the food. My husband and I were both quiet through dinner. Chewing and nodding and non verbal "this is fire" looks while chewing. Loved it. read more

Brought my mom out here and she liked it. The service was great and the food was delicious. The portion sizes are also pretty big. The place itself is in a parking lot but the interior is made nice. Only thing I was confused about was the tipping situation. It says no tip but the waiter made a comment about a tip. Looking through the reviews this seems to be a common theme here. I think they should either give the 15% tip to waiters/waitresses or take it out all together and have people leave tips like other places read more

Great Food, But Not What I Expected! Recently came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. The food was great and the overall experience enjoyable, but service was a bit slow. Based on what I had seen on social media, I expected the restaurant to be inside the hotel with a scenic view of LA. Instead, it's located just next to the hotel, near the valet area--still nice, but not quite what I had pictured. That said, we had a good time, and the ambiance was still lovely in its own way. Just don't go in expecting skyline views, and you'll enjoy it for what it is! read more

This was honestly one of the worst brunch experiences I've had. I drove an hour and a half to come here and left extremely disappointed. None of my friends enjoyed their food--the dishes were underwhelming and absolutely not worth the money. The service was also horrible, which only made the experience more frustrating. I ordered the French onion soup and it was terrible--dry, soggy bread with barely any cheese and hardly any broth. I also had a flatbread pizza, and honestly, I've had better pizza at Papa John's. None of the food was desirable, and no one at our table even finished their meal. I've never felt like I wasted money at a restaurant the way I did here. The only positive thing I can say is that the restaurant itself is cute and has decent ambience, but that's about it. I wouldn't come back or recommend spending your money here. read more

This is certainly a cutest vibe and yet I couldn't get over that I was in the parking lot. During covid times I appreciated how restaurants got creative and recreated space on the curbside. And this was still the feeling for me. Also, this meant that the kitchen was not close by... didn't know this, their kitchen is in the hotel so I'm sure it's a long walk for this... That is when it dawned on us why 4 out of 5 plates weren't hot. The only plate that came out hot was the one they forgot to bring out with other food... I had the lobster chilaquiles. The lobster was perfectly poached but the mini chips were too puffy almost pita like, not warm, the crema was dry... the salsa werde was fine since I don't eat spicy. The sunny egg on top was like a fake plastic egg. And a friends dish same, steak and eggs, eggs were hard and dry... She has them remake them and those came out just fine, now I'm wishing I should have remade mine... the other 2 dishes with scrambled eggs were fine. Just a couple lil things like no stirs for drinks and when I asked for one, I got a big spoon, I had to request small spoons... I ordered a side of crema, never came. Had to wait awhile for server, several times. And it wasn't that busy. I appreciate how they allowed us to stay alil longer than the allotted time, worked out cause they were closing. Friends the bottomless mimosas which they enjoyed. And a couple of us got the cafe de olla with tequila, that was hard to drink, STRONG! and a friend got the coffee flight, and I got to taste the other 2, could brew was tasty and hot cocoa of course with alcohol was better than the cafe de olla. We made the best of it and had a great time. It was cool, and will not be back. read more

I've been dying to come to the IG famous pop up with the lovely floral arrangements. Their theme is seasonal, therefore the scheme is autumn. My work friend & I booked a birthday brunch reservation for last Sunday. We were running late & tried calling but no answer. When we arrived they had already given our table away, but they said that they would get us seated at their earliest convenience. After about 5-10 minutes they sat us under the floral display. We ordered their version of a piña colada which was delightful. I ordered their cayenne chicken and waffles & my friend ordered the Shakshuka. Because we were starving, we ordered truffle fries as a starter. Our server told us that the kitchen was behind, & profusely apologized, and told us our round of drinks & appetizer would be comped. Our fries came out, & they were addictive. Definitely hit the spot. Our entrees came out soon thereafter. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. It was a good serving size. The chicken was crispy, juicy, but needed a touch of salt. The waffle was cooked perfectly. It was thickkk. The savory herb butter on top was a nice touch. My friend's meal wasn't to her liking unfortunately. The egg was barely present in the dish. It's almost like she ate pasta sauce with toast. She was underwhelmed. Our server brought out a complimentary bday tiramisu which was too kind. Pros- beautiful decor, great views, good drinks/food, great customer service, live music, validations (significant discount). Cons- not responsive by phone, & long wait time read more

This is an outdoor patio restaurant located next to Cafe Sierra Restaurant on Hilton Hotel property. Self-parking and valet are available. We went for Sunday Brunch to celebrate a birthday and was amazed with all flowers. Beautiful faux flowers throughout gives it an ultra-chic vibe and female appeal. Whole aesthetic is very deliberate for Instagram. On our visit, the place was packed with women. I kind of felt out of place because there were only 2 guys there including myself...lol! Margarita flight that we ordered were well-presented and delicious. Good ol' bread was good, but too oily and soggy for my palette. Both my wife and I got steak mojo, requested medium rare. Mine was cooked to perfection and tender, but hers was chewy and tough. We ended up asking for new one, which they finally got it done right. Portion could be a bit more generous for $34 price tag. Everyone enjoyed the chicken and waffles. Cajun flavor of chicken really compliments the waffle. All in all, good service and drinks. Food was hit or miss. 3.5 Stars read more

Good vibes, friendly staff, great food and drinks. If that's what you're looking for this is it. My family and I decided to come here for breakfast. We parked in the Hilton parking garage. Then took the elevator up to the main floor. We walked around the conference room until we saw the bar area. Next we went around the bar, out the front door and it was on the left. This is an outside seating restaurant. I signed us in for the next available table. Fifteen minutes later we were seated. It has a beautiful180 view of the city. There was a musician playing songs from the past and present. I had the cayenne chicken and waffles. This is the best most flavorful chicken and waffles I ever had. I ate all of it right there and left no crumbs. My mom had the breakfast Quesadilla. She said it was spicy and good. At some point she started sweating so it had some kick to it. She recommended to get everything on the side. So you can manage the spicy items as you eat it. read more

Good service and food, but the issue is the restaurant will add a 15% facility fee to your bill and then claim it is not gratuity - they say the fee goes to the hotel. Yet their own website says it is a no-tipping restaurant. Servers deserve fair compensation (we left a 35% tip apparently), but customers deserve honesty and transparency from the establishments. read more

If you've been looking for the perfect spot for a girl's brunch/night out, definitely check out @five_onthehill at @thehill_la right outside @hiltonuniversal ! This hidden gem features beautiful city views overlooking the Hollywood Hills, handcrafted cocktails, live music, beautifully tasteful floral decor, and an impressive menu selection with very reasonable prices. I really liked the cocktails and the sea-cuterie board, which contained an impressive selection of extremely fresh seafood (salmon, yellowtail, tuna sashimi, scallops, caviar, sardines) at an unexpectedly affordable price. However, the diver scallops were unevenly seasoned with a very sour puree, and the ribeye was requested to be medium rare but came blue. Service was very understaffed but nice, and I felt bad for the lone waiter who had to deal with several large parties (one of which sent back their dishes 3 times). You can park in the parking garage under the hotel, and request validation (which will cut the parking to $6). Five on the Hill looks like an outdoor area that was created during Covid that is well decorated. There is seating on a patio with picnic tables & a bench, banquet tables and umbrellas. There is also a covered area with high top tables and low tables with comfortable chairs. Live music was quite entertaining. Dolce was our server. She was friendly and very attentive. The food and drinks were served fast (our reservations were for 11 AM when they first opened). The employees work hard as they walk back and forth from inside to get the food/drink to the outside to serve. The steak was tender, the potatoes had a strange looking coating but were OK tasting. Quesadilla was yummy, the chicken and waffles, firebird and surf & turf dishes received good reviews from the group. read more

I should've listen to the other reviews. This restaurant is ONLY for it's aesthetic because it lacks everything else. 1st off had reservations but the manager couldn't find it even though I was the only one there. Took 40 minutes to get ONE appetizer!!!!! (almost walked out) The pasta had no flavor and watered down (I could've made it better at home) the server was nice but this place really isn't it. Located near universal studios, this restaurant was decorated to match the festive Christmas season. Service was a little slow to start, but picked up and ended up being fine. French toast was delicious and so was the the LA Burrito, which is their take on a traditional wet burrito. The salsa roja side was much better than the salsa verde though. Price was a little on the higher side, which makes sense for the area. Self-parking is available for $8 and valet for $20. This pop up is located on the Hilton property close to Universal studios. My friend and I were looking for a floral esthetic restaurant. We enjoyed the frito misto and the Westcoast Sea-Cuterie. My fav items on the Sea-cuterie were the sashimi fish, seaweed salad, marinated boquerones (cooked and vinegar-macerated anchovies). The fried platter had a lot of soft shell crab. I found that the cod, calamari, & veggies were tasty. The batter was seasoned well. I also appreciate the great service, Sun Goddess wine, and the beautiful sunset. I liked that they had a lot of seafood on their menu and that it was prepared in a unique manner. The food quality was a 4/5. I should have requested a better table so I could see more of the sunset.( we were at a low table my back was facing the views :( they had high tops open that were positioned better.) Instagram or Tik Tok brought you here. This restaurant is located in the parking lot of a hotel. Which means the staff has to run in and out of the hotel for everything. However, aesthetically, it is cute. Very nice for pictures. Great views of Studio City. The menu was fancy but lacked. Nothing sound appealing to me so I only ordered a drink which was mid. I wanted to try a margarita flight but unfortunately they do not allow you to change the flavors. Not everyone wants a spicy margarita. Yes, it is expensive. Averaging about $20 a drink. They reached out to me to "make up" for my negative experience by offering me a free dinner for me and a +1. They made a reservation for us for Valentine's Day. I drove all the way to Burbank from OC (over an hour away) to be on time for the reservation just to find out the restaurant was closed. No heads up after already having a racist experience. No email. I would give them negative stars if I could. They already messed up my birthday, now they ruined Valentine's Day for trusting they would get it right this time. Our service was great but the food was awful and the menu is a lie. Let me explain... As one of our starters we ordered the WESTCOAST SEA-CUTERIE BOARD ... I included a picture as to what is included in the board It says tobiko... and it says caviar ... those are two very different things. There was zero caviar on that board. I'm very flexible, if they didn't have the caviar they could have communicated that to our table instead of trying to pass off the tobiko as the caviar. Especially since it was a 52 dollar dish and they barely put tobiko in there. Then on our dishes we all got potato's on the side. These potatoes tasted like day old cold cooked potato's you have as leftovers and you try to eat them... needed a ton of ketchup and then water to wash it down. It's just disappointing and NOT the place to eat. People like the ambience but to be honest the fake colorful flower vibe was not a cute photo op for me. read more

I am looking forward to coming back here for brunch and really hoping it adds another star to my review! I was obsessed with the floral & fun atmosphere. The drinks, service, and overall vibe were equally as wonderful. I came here for my friend's birthday and they did a great job at hosting a group. I would definitely come back for a birthday or special occasion. Now where one star fell off...I ordered the "Surf and Turf" which was described as a lobster roll with filet mignon. I was thinking interesting..so I ordered it. I was thinking it was going to be a lobster roll (like a bread roll). When I received, it I was shocked to see a lobster sushi roll wrapped in raw filet. I was even more shocked that I just paid $38 for one sushi roll. I feel like unique dishes should be communicated by the waiter when ordered. It was a delicious roll but definitely not something I would order again. Everything else was amazing. The drink flights are so fun and special. Their brunch looks yummy and fun. I am excited to return and hopefully boost my rating. But for such an "instagrammable" spot, it is worth the hype! read more
