The atmosphere was fantastic, and one thing that really stood out was how spacious the restaurant felt compared to other steakhouses in the area. We decided to pay a little extra for premium seating, and honestly, it was well worth it. Having that extra privacy and intimacy made the evening even more enjoyable. It's rare to find a restaurant that gives you that option, and we really appreciated it. The service was exceptional from beginning to end. There was always someone available to help, and you could tell the management team was actively involved in making sure everyone was having a great experience. Our server, Joseph, was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout the evening. We also had the pleasure of meeting Joel, the hospitality manager, who was genuinely funny, personable, and made us feel completely comfortable. Nothing felt overly formal or forced, which we really appreciated. And of course, the food was absolutely amazing! Went on a weekend so it was pretty packed, basically full house. Heads up: there's a dress code. Valet parking is $20. Table charges are like $14-$24 if you book online. They charge $25 for cake cutting but give zero freebies... literally just one sparkler candle. The table-side salad is made fresh by this handsome guy. Tbh, the salad was average, but hey, at least he was cute to look at. Ordered the Strip and 15-day dry-aged ribeye. Asked for medium-rare but it came out more like medium-well or even worse. Texture was just meh. Bone marrow is a must-order though! Best thing on the menu. Overall, the vibe is super high-end and fancy. But the food and emotional value? Just okay. Got the luxury of trying Boa Steakhouse the other day. Started off with some Wagyu Cigars. They came all fancy, whatever don't care for none of the show, but I take a bite, crunchy, Wagyu bite, slight spice, along with the sauce paired really well. Now let's move to the main meal, I got the Four Sixes Ranch Ribeye, came back with a nice golden char on the edges, cooked well, and a very high quality steak, one of the best I've had. FOOD -- I've been to the Manhattan Beach location, but mostly tried new items this time around. Everything was good, but the parker house rolls, mac and cheese, NY strip, and lobster fra diavolo stood out. The rolls came out hot and fresh, with lots of herbs baked into them. The steak was cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was creamy and smoky; I usually dislike restaurant mac but this one is so good. And the lobster fra diavolo was perfect. Lots of lobster pieces, with a well balanced red sauce, and perfectly cooked spaghetti. We celebrated my birthday and they brought out a sticky toffee pudding for dessert at the end of the meal. It's served with a scoop of ice cream. SERVICE -- It was a slower evening, so maybe that contributed to the attentiveness, but the staff here did not miss a beat. Tip, upon seating they ask do you want water (it's a $9 bottled stilled water or) you can ask for tap water at no charge Pros: Heidi and Nena was absolutely incredible. Cons: 1) the security guard at the front made rude gestures upon arrival, I didn't pay mind because it was my brothers in laws special day, 2) After making reservations I called to assure everything was booked correctly, I mentioned that we had indoor seating preferences. The person told me they aren't seating people inside however when we arrived a lot of people were being seating inside: brings to question the moral compass of them seating certain people inside.. she did hesitate and almost denied my request however based on my reservation experience if they're aren't at capacity it seems immorally incorrect and they maybe a deeper reason as to why they only allow a certain kind of person/person with indoor seating preferences. It was windy outside and humid, no one wants to go to a restaurant to experience inconvenience. 3) There is a 4.5% dine in fee surcharge in this restaurant, not upset at it just something to be aware of, this is not tip (came out to 17ish dollars- which they do add this percentage to the tip which in my honest opinion based on experience, an uncommon fee or surcharge should not influence the tip as this fee doesn't act as a tip, it's a different entity 4) I was told by security at our table in an unprofessional manner that I wasn't allowed to take pictures with flash on, I highly respect policy but his demeanor was not polite. Guests don't automatically know policy, in the hospitality industry, there's always space for grace plus it should be mentioned by a working professional that holds a position in the dinning staff not a security guard, seems as if people overstepping boundaries & their position. 5) After speaking Andrew, he mentioned as long as the flash does not interfere with other for example guests, leave a zone/ part of the room you can use flash and it you're not taking pictures of the guests. I wanted to understand, respect and consider policy. In the conversation I experienced animosity when he stated his comments, also it did come off as passive aggressive. This statement has nothing to do with emotions, while he we spoke I did notice a form of anger through his mannerisms. I explained that I'm a professional photographer and use my judgment considerably and will avoid using flash unless necessary when no one guests are around. Policy is important to me and respect is just as important. Taking pictures helps capture the memory and it makes it special. I did refrain from using flash after the conversation. Policy should be gracefully mentioned to every guests, not scolded the way the security approached me in this situation, and how the manager displayed his mannerism after speaking with him after i kindly let him know I will be considerate. I didn't allow this unnecessary opposition that came from bao destroy the moment I had with my family, I had a great time because I kept my composure. There's definitely space for improvement here. I was never rude or made disrespectful gestures during my entire visit. Im a local, dinning here is an investment. Sometimes everyday people save up money just to experience something different but people don't want to come to places like this where they feel unwelcomed. Locals don't spend tol dollar just to get treated poorly in any way. It devalues the experience and unfortunately it also influences the tips! I did tip with in reason just not as much as I would have loved to had there been a more professional and polished approach. I respond to conflict with intelligence and insight so other viewers may make better choices on their next dinning experiences! No fighting or arguing from me, I just let others know what kind of people work here and what to expect and the tip definitely is influenced by the moral compass of the business. It's just business. Hoping if I do return, there's a more elevated experience considering the price point. If it lacks quality then it's definitely not going unnoticed either. One of the most beautiful restaurants I've been in LA. I took some friends here to celebrate a special occasion and the first impression was wonderful: elegant setting that blends the indoor and outdoor seamlessly. The staff was warm and welcoming. We were greeted and seated promptly. They were having some wine promotion that night so we were told a few times about it; but we are not into wines - I thought it would be easier, for both sides, if they just asked if we had any interest in wine first. We were told they are famous for their tableside cart service, where they mix and toss the Caesar salad right in front of you. We ordered that and was delighted by the nice service and the salad. For the main course, two of us ordered steaks; one of them liked it and the other, who is a steak connoisseur, said it was just okay. I ordered the seabass and honestly it was disappointing - dry and plain with not much flavor. Granted that they are a steakhouse, I've had seafood prepared very nicely in so many steakhouses that I found this surprising. We did have a very nice finale when they brought out the firework with the dessert. I noticed many tables got it so it must be another one of their specialties. This was actually the most perfect dinner. I have been staying in a lot so going out tonight was much needed and Boa helped make our night so special! William, Joel, and Derrick were all phenomenal but everyone was really kind and attentive the whole time. Long time no review! Took a break from typing but the munching never stopped. Coming in strong from my hiatus with a review for a well-known steakhouse located on the sunset strip. If you've been reading my reviews, then you know that I don't eat at high end restaurants too often. I knew that the fiancé was taking us somewhere nice for our anniversary and I even told him I was completely a-ok with my usual AYCE kbbq restaurant lol It's always a bit tricky dining at restaurants with a higher price point because it's harder to face the disappointment after the bill hits you in the face... but wow, we were both pleasantly surprised. From the valet attendants to the hostesses to our server to the GM to the server's assistants, the service was spectacular. I usually don't like sitting outside but the booth for our table was comfortable and somehow we stayed warm the entire time. I got a cocktail (blackberry smash) and the fiancé got a mocktail (zen garden). My drink was nice and refreshing, not too sweet, not too strong, it paired well with everything we ate. For starters, we ordered the tableside Caesar salad. It was a fun experience watching them making the dressing and salad right in front of you. I do prefer my Caesar dressing to be more anchovy forward but I still enjoyed the light-ness of the dressing. The croutons had a nice crunch and or soggy or well-done. Crab cake was flavorful and meaty and juicy, but there was something I didn't like about it. Like, it wasn't bad but I've also had better ones? Might be the sauce it came with because we were already full by the time we were finished with our starters. For our main, I had the hardest time choosing my main course but eventually decided on the sea bass. Fiancé chose their 6666xBOA ribeye, and we also ordered their original fries and mac&cheese for our sides. GUYS, the sea bass... it's amazing. Look at the beautiful sear on it.. it was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. It's buttery, it's flaky, it's delicious.. I would go back just for this dish. As for the ribeye, both the fiancé & I preferred the sea bass over the steak. It was slightly overcooked, but flavor wise, it was still good. The peppercorn sauce and horse radish sauce were missing that punch. If you've ever dined at Al Biernat's in Dallas, their peppercorn sauce is so good you might even want to drink it. We would probably skip the fries next time, but the mac & cheese was a banger. I love the macaroni they used and the seasoning they used for it was so flavorful. It's like, it'd be the star of your Thanksgiving dinner type of flavorful. To end our dinner, our server brought us a complimentary toffee bread pudding for our anniversary. At first we were thinking about skipping dessert because we were both so full but our dessert stomach suddenly appeared for this one. Such a well balanced dessert.. like it wasn't overwhelming in anything. The texture was absolutely perfect too and I have not stopped thinking about this dessert. I'm already planning my second visit - sea bass, brussel sprouts with a nice glass of wine and toffee bread pudding to finish. My cucumber gimlet was perfectly made and paired nicely with the delicious Caesar. The steaks presentation lacked what I would have expected but the flavor was good! Located at the corner of sunset and doheny rd / Cory ave. You can street park if you get lucky, otherwise valet is $20 for first three hours, $26 for 3-4 hrs, $35 for greater than 4 hrs. Food here is excellent. The mixed greens salad was very fresh and delicious with a perfect balance of dressing. The steak is so tender and well cooked. Opted for a medium rare filet mignon. Melts in your mouth. For sides we had Brussels sprouts (perfectly cooked and makes you actually eat your vegetables), mac and cheese (yummy cheesy goodness), and roasted garlic whipped potatoes (delicious and buttery). We showed up on time for a 7:45 reservation on September 26, 2026. The hostess told us our table was not ready and to wait in the lounge area. There were no seats in the lounge area either at the bar or on the couches. It was awkward. There was a completely empty dining room adjacent to the bar, but they made us wait nonetheless. We were standing and their want-a-be bouncer came us and asked us to find seats even though there were none and we would have to all sit separated and spread out with strangers. When we told him there were none seats, he rudely told us we were in the way. I have never been treated so rudely at any restaurant and this was particularly annoying since we were on time, they had inadequate lounge seats, and there was an empty dining room. That jackass bouncer deserved a beating, not a job in a high-end service restaurant. It ruined the entire dining experience. After waiting about 24 minutes after our reservation time, we were finally seated. Our server was professional and attentive. We ordered the jumbo shrimp scampi, which was not even close to jumbo shrimp and underwhelming for a high end steakhouse. The scampi sauce was on the bland side and did not mesh with the shrimp. The prawn cocktail was fine other than they were not prawns, but maybe medium shrimp and the same as the shrimp used in the jumbo shrimp cocktail as my pictures show. The wagyu meatball was delicious. It was a generous portion and just bursting with a sweet and savory flavor without the flat, sour after taste that most meatballs have. The New York strip was a quality cut cooked perfectly. The steak could have used a touch of salt and pepper and it could have been served either hotter or on a hot plate. The steak was lacking on the flavor side. The table side Caesar came as advertised. An ample portion for the table that was fresh and delicious. It was good experience watching the runner prepare and explain the salad. One of the best Caesar salads have eaten anywhere. The tallow fries were disappointing. They were cooked perfectly with a nice crunch and texture. Unfortunately, they lacked flavor and needed some salt as well. Too pricey and not as good as comparable steak houses in the area. Service was excellent. We wanted to order the tomahawk and were told that the quality wasn't good. Not sure if we were told that to upsell and have us order individual steaks. Food was very good. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Corn was not a hit for us it was too spicy. The truffle fries were just okay. Asparagus was good and the lobster mac and cheese was delicious. We had mocktails and actual drinks. The drinks were great. When boxing leftovers we had to get double boxes because it was leaking through the boxes. We kicked things off with the seafood tower--super fresh, beautifully arranged, and definitely a crowd-pleaser. For my main, I had the ribeye bone in and it was absolutely delicious--cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. We also ordered a bunch of sides to share for the table, and every single one hit--creamy potatoes, crisp veggies, and more. Everything was well-seasoned and served hot. My boyfriend and I came to Boa the Sunday after Valentine's Day to celebrate after having an amazing first experience! Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to the last. Our server, Forest, came across as dismissive when we asked simple questions about salad dressings and cocktail recommendations. As someone in the service industry, I try to be understanding--especially when it's busy--but the snappy tone made us feel more like a burden than welcomed guests. That said, the food was still delicious, the bussers were attentive, and the ambiance is beautiful. Hoping this was just an off night because our first visit was wonderful. Maybe don't ask questions if you have Forest as your server or come in a large group so your bill is worth his time. read more

I only took a picture of my blue cheese, stuffed olive martini that I got while on happy hour. I didn't take any pictures of our dinner, but everything was very tasty. I had a fillet bone in and it was cooked to perfection. They had nice glasses of wine. I got the Frank family cab and it was delicious. Service was great. Ambience was beautiful. Went to the restaurant last night to enjoy a nice steak at the bar but got more than I bargained for. The bartender with glasses not only was short, inattentive and seemingly preoccupied to care about the needs of the patrons. He apologized for his lack of engagement when delivering the check to the diners next to me which maybe if you just performed your job tasks you wouldn't need to apologize? But what really was the kicker was when the diners next to me sat down he moved lighting around at the bar, left me in the dark in which I made a remark about and his response was "if you looked like them and dressed better". He moved the lighting to highlight 2 attractive models that were seated at the bar. Making disparaging remarks to a patron you don't know to try and impress 2 girls is not only unprofessional it's just in bad taste. Who hired this guy really? Service is not his strong suit. I dined August 9 at the bar as well and he was just as aloof but at least that time I didn't get insulted. Paid $110 last night only to be left with this grade A experience. Will not go to BOA again and will encourage all my friends the same. Not only is this bartender not funny but a total creep. Girls be careful! read more
