lobster pasta appetizer - highly recommend
    Stephanie S.

The hotel and restaurant are beautiful--modern, trendy, and perfect for date night or a formal dinner. Valet is $22. Service was excellent, very attentive without feeling rushed. Food was good overall, with some clear highlights. The milk bread and lobster pasta were both fantastic and worth ordering. The Caesar salad was solid. For mains, the skirt steak surprised us--super tender with a delicious mole salt. The lamb chops, though flavorful, were extremely fatty and the portion felt disappointing for the price. We enjoyed the experience and the vibe, but for what we spent, the value wasn't quite there compared to other spots. Good meal, beautiful setting, but not quite memorable enough for us to return soon.

I can't recall the name but it is simply delectable

The food here continues to be amazing. You are always welcomed as soon as you walk in. The food is delectable. I love the Salmon dish, Tandor carrots, Octopus, Salad and so much more. The menu changes seasonally and some main stays continue. Try something from each section. Always trust the service of Gedion he is an excellent server. The ambiance is very calming and inviting too.

Tried their DineLA menu and everything was fantastic. From texture to flavor to presentation. Ernesto was the best! He was very friendly and attentive, I also appreciated that he made me a custom cocktail when I told him my preferences. We came at 6pm on a Sunday (right when they open) without a reservation and they only let us sit at the bar so I highly recommend making a reservation.

Delicious fabulous meal with lovely flavors and beautiful ambiance. The decor is beautiful with luscious greens and candlelight. We ordered the Scallops, Branzino, skirt steak, onion rings, and the strawberry rhubarb dessert. Everything was better than anticipated and well portioned. I would order everything again. My favorite was the Strawberry Rhubbarb Tart for dessert.

Came here on a friday night for a friend's birthday. Parking is VALET only. The ambiance was perfect and the views were very contemporary mixed with modern elements that were warm and organic; loved the vibe! Our waitress was very welcoming and informative. She was patient as she reviewed the cocktail menu and educated us on our chosen drinks. I ordered the brightwood (10/10); others had a French 75, the Uma & the stone and vine (it's like a white sangria). For food, my friends had the seared ora king salmon and I had the prime skirt steak. With the prime skirt steak, I made sure to smash the garlic before applying it as a paste, sprinkling the mole salt on top of every bite of my steak *chef's kiss 10/10, would happily order again. The milk bread and the tempura onion rings were ordered as well. The milk bread was tasty (8/10) but the onion rings were AMAZING (10/10 best onion rings ever). Definitely will return. Great experience!

Ardor is the fine dining restaurant at the West Hollywood Edition and I decided to give them a try on the last night of my trip. The dining experience was excellent. They took me as a walk-in when they opened at 6 pm and I ordered the Spanish octopus. Seared striped bass, charred broccolini and the chocolate expresso torte. Every dish was great - the octopus was perfectly cooked and went really well, that bass had just the right amount of sear but the chocolate torte was the real highlight of the meal for me. Service was great but not too fussy. The restaurant interior is gorgeous - they have a secluded garden area that was just lovely. With tax and tip, this was about $140, which is great for the experience. Highly recommended!!!

Overdue post - Came here with my husband for our wedding anniversary dinner! Food was 10/10! We ordered their signature appetizers, entrees, and dessert and they did not disappoint. I love how the chef incorporates global flavors and seasonal vegetables into the menu. Also loved the smokiness in almost all the warm dishes. These were my favorite menu items in descending order: Spanish Octopus (5/5) - omg the best octopus texture I've had. Flavors, texture, everything was on point! Prime Skirt Steak (5/5) - the smokiness and grill was absolutely amazing. Got it medium rare and it was perfect! King Crab Tagliatelle (5/5) - loved the handmade pasta, king crab chunks, and the herby lemon butter emulsion Chocolate Espresso Torte (5/5) - the wedding anniversary chocolate and candle was cute, but the dessert was on point! All sides and layers were so delicious. It's worth the $20 imo. Tandoor carrots (5/5) - again, loved the smokiness and the eggplant croutons; the hummus almost tasted like baba ganoush Milk Bread (3/5) - I know it's their signature dish, but I don't get the hype. Rosemary, salt, and tomato will always be good, but it was just bread to me. I would have preferred some butter / salt on the side. Service was amazing too! Shoutout to Tim who timed our dishes perfectly so we could enjoy it at our own pace! The ambiance was very romantic and fitting for our wedding anniversary. We went to the rooftop after to enjoy the views as well. Will definitely be back to enjoy the other seasonal menu the chef is working on right now. Love Ardor!

I'm glad I was able to visit during Dine LA week. The food, service, and indoor dining environment were all wonderful. 5th star earned for the milk bread and perfected flavor of the main dishes. Everything I tried, I would order again- milk bread, Spanish octopus, King crab tagliatelle, chocolate espresso torte. The prime skirt steak my friend got was also delicious. The bread was still warm like it had just come out of the oven, and it felt, briefly, like I was enjoying this from home. I'm not usually impressed by pasta, but the tagliatelle was so flavorful. Staff were all friendly and timely in service. And the indoor mixed flora and low-lighting caters great for small parties and dates. Parking is by valet with the attached hotel, around $20. It was convenient and quick.

Came here for a birthday dinner and there were 7 of us. I love the interior bar and chic ambience throughout. We were seated on the patio part which reminded us how busy and loud Sunset Blvd really is! The service was OK, a bit slow and unorganized. Drinks took the longest to get. My glass of wine came out without the wine! They corrected that quickly though. The food was pretty good! But portions are small. We double ordered the milk bread and octopus. Both were good but the milk bread was the star! The onion rings were really good too, perfectly seasoned. Caesar salad was OK; the dressing has a strong anchovy taste. The Tomahawk steak was good, a little more char on the outside would've made it amazing. The mashed potatoes were surprisingly good even though it was overly decorated with peas and chives in it, turning the b-day boy off from eating them. Another guest enjoyed his burger and fries. I can attest the fries were good as well. Overall, a tasty experience with a BIG price tag (especially the drinks). Despite the small portions and spotty service, the food IS pretty good. I give this place a 3.8 for real.

Excellent blue Prawn and octopus for appetizers . The Carrot hummus was Michelin star worthy The lamb chops were the best I ever had in a long time . The service is also great. Will definitely come back

Overall great experience, definitely will be coming back, the vibes are amazing here, the decor is beautiful, everyone was very welcoming, friendly and attentive; and the food was good but not great for me, my Salmon was a bit salty for me but the other food was great.

First note, did not know that this restaurant was attached to a hotel, to the right of Edition. You can enter from the lobby or the elegant double doors to the right side of the hotel. The inside of the restaurant, beautiful, lush, and elegant. The lighting inside added to the ambiance. I kept looking around, taking in the scenes. We came for DineLa and they had great options for the fixed menu. The Milkbread was so soft and buttery, we chose the samon sashimi and my goodness, I want a bottle of that sauce it was soo good! The variety was good for the entrees, all different so you have good, different options to choose from. My parents were obsessed with the cardamom ice cream that came with the cake for dessert. We only added the onion rings to our order because the hostess recommended it and I personally don't like onions, the taste and texture just don't work for me. My family on the other hand love it and my dad said these were the best onion rings he ever tasted. I even got peer pressured into trying it and I will say.....the flavor of the batter.....amazing! I actually did finish it and I did not taste onion....but I knew I was eating it so the texture got to me...but that's a personal issue...nothing to do with how they prepared and if you asked everyone else at the table...it was a solid 10/10.

    Prime Filet

This review primarily focuses on the food - I ordered the tuna crudo, and the prime filet entree. While the flavors were delicious and fresh, I had a major issue with the cook on the steak. I ordered the filet medium rare but after about 30-40 mins of waiting I was brought a well done steak. I didn't want to be "that customer" or have to wait even longer for my food, so I just ate it without sending it back. You'd think that for the premium price you're paying, a chef would know not to cook a well done steak unless specifically asked for one? It was like eating a hockey puck. Sad experience to have for the price you pay here. Other than that the tuna crudo was delish and my friends seemed to have enjoyed their dishes (sweet potato curry//grilled branzino). The service was great and our waiter was kind! 3 stars for that - but you're probably better off making your own steak.

Now, the place is super small with weird seating. I like the dark vibe it has going though. The most frustrating part of it all? Servers came off super pretentious and would intentionally walk by your table without looking to avoid you asking them anything. Moreover, the place doesn't let you make many changes to your order. For example, if you ask for easy rice on the sushi, they will say no. If you ask for them to put the avocado on the side due to an allergy of one member of the group, they will say no. Our items came out SUPER slow, and this was after waiting a while for a table. The sushi is subpar - heavy on the rice and not enough fish. However, the coconut shrimp roll was good. That all being said, I'd go back and deal with it all again for the chicken sandwich and the burger. Both were a bit heavy on the bread in comparison to the protein, but delicious nonetheless.

Sean Brock (James Beard nominee and winner, "The Mind of a Chef" Season 2 host, "Chef's Table"…read moreSeason 6 featured culinary artist, among other highlights) has taken his Southern US cuisine to Hollywood in a recently opened restaurant. Darling takes some of Sean's favorite dishes, many of which are grilled, and adds an Asian fusion touch. Will it succeed? Time will tell, but we very much enjoyed our experience at the restaurant. The first two things you will notice when entering Darling is the large shade tree settled in the center of the lounge area and the Hi-Fi DJ booth pumping out the vibes. I really liked the decor, it set a casual tone to the fine dining. And the music jammed, from World to R&B to Jazz with a couple pop hits mixed in, it set an enjoyable atmosphere without distracting from the conversation my wife and a couple old friends were able to have. Favorite dish? It had to be the Deviled Egg topped with Bluefin Tuna. It takes a memorable dish from my childhood and turns it, well, not into something my mom would make but so much better! (Sorry, no photos of the dish, our eggs evaporated before I got to my camera). The Wood-Fired Oysters and the Rockfish (which my wife ordered) were also highlights. Any misses? I thought I'd enjoy the Dry-Aged Burger somewhat more than I did. The patty itself is very large and thick making it highly fat-forward on the palate. A little bit of acid, say, a couple slices of pickle and/or tomato would benefit the dish well. All in all, my friends and I very much enjoyed our evening at Darling. Highly recommended!

The al dente pasta was coated in a sharp Parmesan that was keenly offset by the sweetness of a Tomato Jam served on the side. A very well-balanced and satisfying bite. For my own part, the Quiche Lorraine was buttery and rich, and brimming with bacon and cheese. The lightly dressed salad alongside was a perfect foil, cutting the sharpness nicely. I must also mention that the folks next to us had a table full of yummy-looking, yummy-smelling food, from a cheese and charcuterie board to pizza, an omelet and beautifully prepared veggies. It would be easy to order everything on the menu across multiple visits -- and I'm already looking forward to my next time in.

They had the Easter bunny come to take photos with the kids and handed out eggs. Val was our server and was great, and Maya, who was helping her, was honestly amazing. She was so attentive and just always on top of everything. I don't think she stopped moving once the whole time we were there. She was constantly checking in, refilling drinks, clearing plates, and making sure everything felt smooth without ever interrupting the moment. The food was also so good, we loved the chilaquiles and the cinnamon roll was definitely a favorite. Everything came out perfect and the whole experience just felt easy and enjoyable. It's not often you notice a server assistant this much, but Maya really stood out she was so nice and sweet and made us feel welcomed. I would absolutely come back and would love to have them again.

This was the perfect choice. The weather was ideal for sitting outside. All of the wait staff doted on us, particularly our waiter Brian who treated the ladies like royalty. They absolutely adored him. The Terrace has the most unusual croque madam. I had to take a picture of it.
