Sal's Place is otherworldly. The coziest and most welcoming little restaurant. I enjoyed dinner here tonight with two friends and we were treated so well. The food was stellar, especially the vongole! I can't wait to come back. Exceptional service, food and ambiance.

I've never been to a restaurant with this level of service . Everyone is so kind and attentive. I will say they do things a little old school. Only phone reservations or walk in . Cash payment only . Written receipts. I would not recommended walking in as they are packed . I had to still wait a little even with a reservation but it was worth the wait . The Ceasar salad was my favorite . The rigatoni with pesto and the filet mignon were also delicious . Portions are generous . Homemade Tiramisu is a must. The bar area is a little small but the overall ambiance is romantic and gives you an east coast feel .

This place has a nice ambiance but that's it. It feels like a warm house. BUT: All salads are $20 and come with no protein. All pastas are $40-60. All mains are $40-60. And for what?! The flavors of the pasta were FINE. This clam pasta was overrun with salty capers. I need to douse it in cheese to make it feel edible. It's not worth it. There are similar ambiance's you can get for better food. Carrots were plain. Bread wasn't even good. Dense and heavy.

I am incredibly baffled by all the 5 star reviews saying this is the best Italian restaurant and that it is some people's favorite restaurant. First off, the place was really loud, which could have been fun if we didn't want to talk at the table. But more importantly, the food was not good at all. Started with the shrimp scampi which was the worst scampi we've ever had. Very underwhelming shrimp that seemed like they were boiled and placed in some basic garlic sauce instead of being properly sautéed. The Caesar salad and tuna crudo were fine, nothing special though. The Halibut was dry and overcooked. The orecchiette pasta with sausage was so bland- terrible sausage and it tasted like the pasta was dry with no flavor or sauce. We've had airplane food that was better. Service was fair- quite slow and inattentive. Wine list is a joke. They have 3- one white, one orange, and one red. The red was a $16 bottle that they charge $80 for! Ridiculous! And their corkage fee for bringing your own wine is $50 which is outrageous, one of the highest corkage fees in LA. Cocktail was good, hence the 1 star instead of 0. Save your cash (it's cash only btw which is weird) and go anywhere else!

Ummmm YES! So yummy. They are so nice and friendly here. Cocktails are delicious. Food is too. Such a cozy ambience. Thank you Sal's!

Cash only! A place that has an intimate family feel with food that has a that homemade touch that will make you feel cozy inside. A surprising find in the bustling city of West Hollywood. You would never really notice it from the outside. This place switches seasonally from their Provincetown to here during their off season. I really like how the owner is working alongside their team helping out wherever needed too! The pastas are where it's at here so definitely give them a try!

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've had in LA. The food was terrible--bland, overpriced, and just straight-up disappointing. I've had better meals at food trucks for a fraction of the price. Staff? Totally disengaged. We asked for recommendations and got some of the most half-hearted responses ever, like we were bothering them just by being there. They deck the place out with flowers and decor like it's some high-end spot, but it's all just for show. None of that effort went into the food or service. AND to top it off--it's CASH ONLY. In 2025?? Seriously? No heads-up, no signage until you're already at the register. Sketchy and inconvenient. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Total tourist trap vibes, zero soul, and a complete waste of money.

And Sogol's Plate provides that authentic, passed down from one generation to the next, prepared all day, made with lots of love and intention, homey and delicious, type of Persian food. On the menu this weekend was the zereshk polo with chicken, tachin with chicken, and ghormeh sabzi with beef. They even threw in some free tadig which was such a nice touch! Everything was divine. However, the zereshk polo and tachin absolutely stole the show. So aromatic, fresh, sweet, flavorful and delicious. I couldn't get enough of those. I ravenously rushed from one bite to the next until my plate was empty. So bomb! If you order for pickup, then this is such a well priced meal too. And the owners are beyond friendly, patient and kind. We went back and forth on instagram trying to accommodate a date, order, and time. They were so helpful and receptive every step of the way. And when I arrived, they carried the food all the way to my car. So thoughtful. The only constructive thing I can say is that I wish there was more meat. I eat a lot of protein (shoot for 170g a day), so I would have liked a heftier portion of chicken and beef. But I eat way more meat than the average person. I'm sure that these protein portions would satisfy the majority of the population. All in all, this is a 5 star meal service. My Persian fiancée and I both highly recommend Sogol's Place. We'll for sure be back for more!

I finally got to visit The Fleuria, and it was truly a treat. The Fleuria is Los Angeles's first…read moreromance book truck!!! It's a roaming gem that pops up around SoCal with a curated selection of love stories and bookish gifts - think books, stickers, hats, totes, bookmarks, etc!!! I first found Fleuria at The Coffee Bar in El Segundo during their birthday celebration (yes, the same day I visited the book truck and discovered a new favorite coffee shop!). Just seeing the truck/van made my morning between the pastel decorations, the smell of new books, and the promise of great new reads. Browsing through their books, I was impressed with the variety as there are more books than just romance. And, the prices? On par with independent bookstores. After my first visit, I also went with a friend to their book swap event at the Runway in Playa Vista which the owner of Fleuria had shared with me during my visit at The Coffee Bar. This experience was just as delightful! I got to meet fellow bookworms, chat about favorite books, trade books, and discover some titles I hadn't heard of before. The owner is seriously so sweet and genuine, full of warmth and love for the selection of books she curates. The Fleuria isn't just a truck selling books. I can tell the owner works to create a community in the process: A place where book lovers can gather, where books feel personal. Whether you're buying a book, swapping one, or just browsing for inspiration, The Fleuria feels cozy and special. So, if you love romance, or even just want something charmingly different, Fleuria is a must!!! I know I'll be keeping a close eye on their pop-ups and other bookish events!

I emailed peachpitpopup@gmail.com the minute I noticed the incorrect amount on my bank account & guess what, they have yet to reply! I don't know how to explain this pop up. Like I can't be mad at them, since I'm the idiot who paid $25 per ticket just to dine here. $25x4 just to get in the door. Plus $13 for a cheeseburger x4, $7 per order of tator tots x2 and one $7 order of onion rings. I could have went to a steakhouse instead and paid the same amount. The inside did look like the peach pit, but I thought there would be more, you know, saved by the max style at least their tickets included an appetizer and entree. They also had a small frame dedicated to Luke Perry, really small and really seemed like an after thought! All I'm saying is, I saw a ton of people come into the diner, take pics and got the eff out of there! Their cost $0, Smart cookies!

Sure, Nat didn't take my order and "Laverne" didn't sing "It's My Party" to us, but I'm glad that I at least got to experience a taste of the Peach Pit. And by "taste" I'm speaking more of the feel of the place, than the actual food. The menu here is sort of like the 6 episode BH90210 Reboot that aired on Fox this summer - it leaves a lot to be desired. I'd recommend opting for Steve's Grilled Cheese over the cold Brandon (Veggie) "SandWalsh." If you reserve your ticket here, you actually don't have to buy any food at all. The inside is undoubtedly small, but we enjoyed sitting at the counter and taking in the décor. And if you don't want to even do that, I suppose you can just walk by on Melrose and take pics in front of the Peach Pit.
