've heard nothing but great things about Terroni, and after finally having lunch here, I can officially say the hype is real! Pretty much everything we ordered was a hit. The gnocchi was perfectly pillowy, the lemon pasta was light, bright, and delicious, and the pappardelle Bolognese was rich and comforting. We also tried the calamari and finished with the lemon Basque cheesecake, which was such a great way to end the meal. The only miss for me was the flourless chocolate cake, but honestly, everything else was so good that I'm not holding it against them. It's also just five minutes from me, so I'm very happy to have found a new neighborhood Italian favorite. We loved the meal and are already planning our next visit so we can work our way through more of the menu! read more

I recently visited this restaurant for a friend's birthday celebration in the private dining room. Unfortunately, the experience did not feel as festive or special as we had hoped. There was only one server for our party of 16, and it was clear that the server was overwhelmed trying to manage the entire group. The restaurant offered a pre-ordered menu, but the food was served on large, heavy communal plates and placed in the center of the table, with guests expected to serve themselves. Unfortunately, the food itself was disappointing and lacked flavor. For a birthday celebration in a private room, I expected a more polished and attentive dining experience. The combination of limited service, family-style serving arrangements, and bland food made the evening feel more like a casual gathering than a special celebration. I hope the restaurant considers providing adequate staffing and a more thoughtful service approach for large private parties in the future. read more

The food was amazing! Our waitress Piper was so professional and welcoming. She has the brightest smile and gave us perfect service. The only problem was the hostess. She had an attitude from the beginning. We were there at 5:30 and the place was fairly empty. She tried to seat the 3 of us in a tiny 2 seat booth. My friend wanted the bigger booth and she was very disrespectful and her manager came to the podium and gave us the booth for 3. As we were leaving she made a nasty face and elbowed the manager. I said thank you very much and she didn't say a word. She also was not dressed appropriately for a hostess. Just my opinion. I will definitely return as the food was great. I've been to Terroni in Toronto and Hollywood before and always had a good experience, so after recently moving to WeHo, I decided to take my 16-year-old son there for dinner. The evening started with us apparently being seated at the wrong table, so we moved. When the appetizers arrived, my son asked for some balsamic vinegar, but they didn't have any. Not a big deal, but unfortunately the food wasn't as good as I remembered either. My son ordered the lasagna, which was covered in béchamel. We knew it came with béchamel, but there was so much that it was basically all you could taste, and he couldn't eat it. I simply asked for a side of tomato sauce so we could take the lasagna home and try to save it. Our waiter was nice and said he would try, but ultimately told me they couldn't provide a side of tomato sauce. I wasn't asking them to remake the dish or take it off the bill... just a little tomato sauce. I asked for the check and after waiting about 15 minutes, I went inside. They were extremely busy and it looked like our waiter was handling the entire bar area, so I understood why it was taking so long. I've worked in restaurants, so I know how difficult the business can be. I'm also not sure whether refusing balsamic v. and tomato sauce was the waiter's decision or restaurant policy, so I still tipped 20% and payed for the lasagna. But refusing such a simple request and not offering any other solution left a really bad impression. Sadly, I won't be going back. (I think there are some really negative people writing reviews who probably don't know authentic Italian and/or are terrible cooks themselves...but people in LA love to complain, so there's that...I couldn't disagree more with their reviews.) Fantastic food but unfortunately, poor service.The pasta here is delicious and a good portion size! They offer corkage as well as a pretty extensive wine list to pair with your meal. The spaghetti with seafood was packed with mussels, clams, squid, and topped with a sizable scallop. The Nutella fritters are incredible too and paired perfectly with a hazelnut ice cream. The restaurant is so quaint and cute inside. There's beautiful chandeliers and old black and white films playing on the wall. A very cool vibe. Our issue was with the service. When we arrived there was hardly anyone in the dinning room but it took nearly 10 minutes to get water. We never were sure who our water was because no one introduced themselves as such and it seemed like a hodgepodge of folks would do various tasks as part of the service. The food came out very fast, like barely got our wine the entree and bread served immediately. After the meal we had to wait another 10 minutes after sitting with the dessert menu for anyone to take our order. After finishing the meal we waited 15 min to get the check. It came to the point where we were questioning if we were supposed to pay at the front. We only got the bill because we got up and asked someone at the bar for it. what an awful experience! i went there to celebrate my birthday around noon when the restaurant was half empty with plenty of tables available to seat a party of 3. the staff were reallllyyyyy snobby!!! They sat me in the corner behind a pillar which felt so secluded and when i asked if i could sit at another table next to the window , i was told those were taken ...and was said without a friendly approach, " they're taken" and that was it! Terroni is an always crowded Italian eatery in the Beverly Grove neighborhood. It's located on the corner. Parking is terrible in the area. I suggest to either valet or uber. However, if you insist on finding a parking space on the street then I recommend wearing good walking shoes and planing to get there early to search for a parking space. The booths here are very comfy. The service is excellent and attentive. Upscale casual atmosphere. We ordered a vegetarian pizza for the table and the cavatelli alla norma pasta. The pizza was very fresh but I thought it could have used a bit more seasoning. Most pizza is over-seasoned so I prefer it this way but I would have liked just a touch more. Also the pizza is not pre-cut. You have to cut it yourself. The cavatelli alla norma had homemade cavatelli in a light tomato sauce with deep fried eggplant, aged ricotta, basil, and garlic. It was a good dish. Two of us shared it with the pizza and we were happy. Highly suggest. This place has been around since 1992 and there's a good reason. LA is such a melting pot. Italian food is very large here as many know. The competition is enormous. Terroni has managed to remain delicious and popular for such a long time. The reasons are the atmosphere is fun with cool design and comfortable seating. The food is very steady and enticing. Came here for dinner because I heard great things about Terroni in Toronto (I think they're part of the same franchise?). It was easy to make a reservation; I made one the day of for a Wednesday night dinner. Parking isn't great in the area. There are some meters around, but parking in the neighborhoods is tough because many areas required a permit. I ended up parking across the street in the USPS parking lot (you can pay to park in the evening). I liked the interior. It was decorated nicely, and it didn't feel too cramped. It also wasn't too loud, but then again, I was there on a Wednesday evening. Our table got a few things to share - frittura di calamari, carpaccio all griglia, Maccheroncini Geppetto, and Tagliata Di Manzo. Overall, the food was just OK. The best tasting dish was the pasta. I don't think I'd order the calamari (the portion was tiny and it didn't come with any sauce) or the carpaccio (the cheese was overpowering) again. Don't know that I'd recommend this to my friends who want some solid food, but maybe it's worth coming back to try the Cacio e Pepe, as I hear that's good here. read more

Top to bottom, one of our favorite Italian spots in Beverly Grove! My wife and I love heading to Terroni as their food and service is always on point. The atmosphere is bustling and has the exact kind of energy you would want - servers being extremely attentive to the customers, amazing food being carried through the gorgeous dining room, and a super cool bar if you want to just relax and have some drinks. Terroni has a beautiful outside seating area in the back as well as seating on the street, and the inside dining room is beautiful. Some of our favorites include their Caesar salad, the meatball appetizer (delicious!!!), and honestly any one of their amazing pastas. I would highly recommend their bolognese, and my wife loves their chicken piccata. They have a wonderful wine list, with everything from moderately priced glasses to top tier bottles of wine. They make a great martini as well! Overall, we have had some of the most consistently excellent experiences at Terroni and have been back again and again. I would highly recommend Terroni for a date night to a group night out with friends - you won't be disappointed! read more

I've heard good things about Terroni, and I finally got to go! We parked a block away in the neighborhood (street parking only) and were one of the first customers for lunch: it started picking up by the time we finished eating. We opted for a selection of dishes, including arancini, spaghetti al limone, and pizza norcina. The arancini was my favorite: absolutely crispy, tender, and oh-so comforting with the cheese, rice, and meat ragu inside. Spaghetti al limone was creamy, yet light, with plenty of zing with the lemon and capers. The pizza norcina was beautiful with ample truffle shavings, although the amount of cream and cheese kind of overpowered the dish (and I do wish the pizza had been cut). Service was on the slow side and a bit standoffish, but we did appreciate our server bagging up and adding some of the delicious bread to-go! Prices were a bit high, but reasonable given the quality. Overall, I did enjoy my anniversary dinner here. There were some issues I had, however, which I will share below. I wish I could give 3.5 stars, but I'll be generous and stick to 4 for this review. First off, getting seated was easy and our server was very friendly. The service itself, while friendly, was a little bit slow and inattentive, however. It took a while to get our cocktails/wine, and to find the server for ordering more drinks or other food items/dessert. One more thing I'll add about the service, and I don't want to sound nit-picky, but I added a note to our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary. We got nada. Now, I never EXPECT to receive any free drink or dessert, but I always appreciate at least a friendly "Happy Anniversary!" or just anything at all to recognize it! But alas, NADA from the hostess or servers. Now, as for the food itself, it was all absolutely wonderful! The pastas (especially the Cacio E Pepe!) were flavorful, creamy, and delicious. The pizza had a perfectly cooked thin crust and I loved the cheesiness and fresh toppings on it. I will say, however, that the Calamari (which they make a point of saying on the menu ONLY comes with lemon and NO sauce) was quite expensive for its meager size or (lack of) accompaniments. That brings me on to another point. The menu is too pricey for what this restaurant is!! I loved the atmosphere and more casual vibes of the restaurant! The more stuffy, fine-dining Italian restaurants aren't particularly my favorite, so enjoyed the open, airy, casual feel of Terroni! What I didn't enjoy were the prices that are basically fine-dining restaurant prices. Especially the appetizers! I personally felt the Calamari was WAY TOO expensive for what you get. Nevertheless, the pasta and pizza at this restaurant were both excellent. If you can stomach the slow-ish service and the slightly overpriced menu, I would still recommend trying it out! ...Perhaps just not for an anniversary or other special occasion. read more

Absolutely loved my experience at Terroni Beverly. I had the calamari, rigatoni, and ravioli -- every bite was chef's kiss. The calamari was perfectly crispy, the rigatoni had that bold, comforting flavor I crave in Italian food, and the ravioli was rich and velvety. Terroni used to be one of our favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, over the years our experiences have steadily declined, due to consistently poor service. Nearly every recent visit has ended with us leaving frustrated and with a bad taste in our mouths--certainly the opposite of how guests should feel after dining out. My party of six visited for dinner on January 3, 2026, and once again had a disappointing experience. Our server, Jassmin F., was uninformed about the menu and unpleasant throughout the meal. For a restaurant that prides itself on fresh, house-made pasta, it was surprising that she didn't know the difference between wheat pasta and regular pasta, had no knowledge of the fish dishes, and could not distinguish between branzino and sea bream--both listed on the menu. At one point, she even argued that the restaurant only served branzino, seemingly unaware of her own menu. The lack of attentiveness continued with dessert. One guest returned a hazelnut ice cream, not realizing it contained hazelnut. This was explained to our server. The replacement dessert--also hazelnut, though not clearly labeled as such--was brought without any explanation, resulting in the same issue all over again. Requests for cheese were also met with refusal. We were not given cheese for a salad, and another guest was told outright that if they had asked for a side of cheese with their pasta, the answer would have been no. The overall demeanor from our server was rude and dismissive. Sadly, this experience is not an exception. More often than not, we've encountered rude or uninformed servers here. Ironically, the host staff has always been pleasant--but once you're seated, you never interact with them again. Terroni was once a place we loved and recommended. At this point, repeated service issues have made it difficult to justify returning. read more

After visiting The Hole, we headed to Melrose for a late lunch and shopping. The family was hungry, but we couldn't agree on the food options we found on Melrose. We widened our search and found Terroni about half a mile away. It was a nice day in LA, so we decided to take the short walk. We arrived just before 3pm and were greeted as we came in. It looked like the lunch/brunch rush had just ended -- only a couple tables were occupied with those customers leaving a few minutes after we were seated. We asked if we could order from the Brunch menu, which they were so nice to accommodate. We ordered Pane to start. For our mains -- the Maccheroncini alla Carbonara, Pizza Norcina and Polenta ai Funghi. The Pane didn't come out, but this didn't affect our overall experience because the food was perfectly prepared and delicious! Generous portions and lovely presentations. The Polenta in particular was so, so good! I could not help but share it with my husband and daughter who kept asking for more (next time we'll need place two orders). The Pizza Norcina was a very close second favorite -- my husband has rated it the best he's had. Service was a bit slow which we didn't mind. We sat in a booth towards the back of the restaurant, a couple tables away from the bar. The ambiance was very nice and relaxed during that time. As we were heading out, our daughter did a double take at a corner table by the window with two pretty women seated. She walked back and asked the woman holding an infant a question. I really couldn't hear them, but our daughter walked away so happy with the brief encounter. It was with Nara Smith. She then spent the entire walk back to Melrose explaining the social media presence of this influencer with 8.5 million followers on TikTok. So in short -- We had amazing food and nice service in a relaxing atmosphere, with our daughter's experience elevated by unexpectedly meeting Nara Smith. :) read more

Well the stars are there for the ambience and the service for a Friday night. But other than that, the food was subpar compared to what I've had. I was highly disappointed in the seafood pasta. I am the biggest seafood lover but this was beyond fishy it made me gag after awhile. Idk if that's just an LA thing. But I have yet to find a good seafood pasta spot. The ragú bolognese my bf had was tasty but very thick with the sauce it was interesting. Not what I opt for when having a meat sauce pasta. I am baffled that this place is open and why are people eating here? It was my first time and certainly my last. The calamari came with zero sauce. When asked, they said they do not serve sauces and their marinara is not served as a side. The pizza is delivered uncut which you struggle with a steak knife to rend through. This place is like a girl who thinks she's a 10 but is really a 3. Honestly I'm embarrassed for this establishment. The arrogance is off the charts and the food does not measure up. There are infinitely better places to eat in this town with much better pizza, and interest in pleasing their customer. This restaurant belongs in an episode of Seinfeld and that's about it. read more
