Anniversary Dessert... happy wife happy life!!
    Albert H.

Keeping this one brief for now since I have some bias here as I helped design this place almost 30 years ago. I really thought it was 25 years ago but the owner/Chef Goran Milic reminded me that it was 28 years ago. With their recent media coverage, no wonder he remembers so vividly. And with that bit of information I am really dating myself. Ugh. Divino is located at the Barrington Court which is notorious for its challenge to find parking. It is also why I tend to avoid this area when it comes to dining out. For my and my wife's anniversary we decided to come here around 1130AM hoping to be one of the first customers. As it turned out it opened at noon so we were definitely extra early. This gave me the opportunity to drop in and say hello to the owner as well as check out one of my early architecture works. It's noteworthy to point out that they will be launching a bar/ private room upstairs so I look forward to checking that out in the near future. It's still under construction but it shouldn't be too far out. Divino is most well known for its pasta and seafood dishes. So my wife chose a pasta dish along with Branzino for our anniversary lunch. The foods were super tasty and exquisite. Chef Goran Milic is from Montenegro but trained in Italy so his Italian foods certainly have a strong Adriatic Coast flare. We went with tiramisu as our dessert. It was out of this world!! So must order if you're planning to visit. Just bummed that the restaurant still charged for anniversary desserts. That is pretty common in LA but I figure Chef Goran would treat an "old friend" to something extra. Haha. Look forward to returning and trying other dishes as well as checking out the new space on the second floor. Cheers!!

Happy to have this place be a local Brentwood staple! AND even better, they are opening up a bar on the second floor before the new year. This place is a vibe, great family spot, date night, and catch up with friends. The service is impeccable and the food is FRESH, comes out hot and is beyond tasty. They have such a big menu to choose from and FREE bread and focaccia for the table.

Took my partner here for his birthday and we had the most incredible experience. Everything from the incredible recommendations our server gave us to how much attention to detail the busser had, changing cutlery at each service. The food was delicious and unreal! The calamari and bean starter was incredible, the chicken tortellini and gnocchi ragu was out of this world. We shared a bottle of 2023 IL BRUCIATO and have found a new favourite wine! Stepping into this restaurant felt like walking through a door into Italy, a brilliant restaurant with beautiful lighting, framed old photos, and vases of sunflowers and roses. Couldn't recommend enough!

Really cute little restaurant with pretty good pasta! I got the seafood linguine and it was packed with seafood (although for the price, I would hope that it would be...). The most annoying part is that there's limited parking in the plaza, and the meters are 1 hr only (free after 8pm).

I have to go 4 stars because in our new world, valet parking is gone. And in this part of Brentwood... boy do they need it unless you're good to walk (think women in heels) a bit. One hour parking with very few spaces. Otherwise it's a 5! Great smiling staff with full bar, good martinis and other yummy starters. Fresh baked buttered crispy focaccia to start. Yes please. The menu didn't jump out at me, but we both ordered the specials that did. My sausage broccolini with pasta was an explosion of great taste. They know there pasta here as every bite was perfectly cooked. The staff made sure to recommend the wine pairings and I love that. And the iced wine barrel with choices! So screw the parking... it's 5 stars now that I can relive the meal and service.

Divino is located inside a small plaza, so parking is limited. Luckily on a thursday around 7pm we had no trouble finding a spot. It's a very small restaurant inside, so I would recommend reservations as I can see how it can get very busy. We had reservations and were seated immediately upon arriving. The ambiance is nice both inside and outside. The waitress assumed we were "too young" for the wine list, as she said. While I myself am, the rest of my party wasn't so it was a bit of an odd assumption to make. The kitchen requires both your appetizer order and entree order at the same time, so keep that in mind when looking at the menu. The service was quick and our server was around often if we needed anything. Keep in mind that they charge for water. Two bottles of water were $18 all together. (ouch!!) We didn't even realize we were served two. The food is beyond delicious. And when ordering, our server was very thorough in explaining some of the things on the menu. The bread served at the beginning of the meal was also amazing. I don't think you could order anything bad on the menu.

We had an amazing time choosing to sit outdoors for an early dinner. This cute restaurant is situated inside a turn about plaza and the food is so delicious. We ordered the beef carpaccio and mushroom pizza. If you're ever wondering where to go for a new adventure this place is tucked in the corner and private. Great for family or first dates since it is casual and quiet. Easy and cozy so you can have a great conversation while enjoying your meal.

Stupidly overpriced for unremarkable Italian food. On the bright side, the waitress was very nice.

The inside is cosy and casual, and it's a bit romantic. There's usually a nice buzz of people in the late afternoon. This intimate bar first opened in West Hollywood in 2013. The entrance is on the side of a beautiful historic Hollywood Spanish Gothic style building on Westbourne Drive, off Santa Monica Boulevard. You could almost miss it from the street as it's kind of hidden which is definitely part of its charm. About a century ago it was a studio for silent film star Charlie Chaplin and later a library for Sherman, which was the name of West Hollywood before it was incorporated. So this is a beautiful and historic location with a fascinating history, V Wine Room serves about 30 different wines by the glass and a large selection by the bottle, mostly small California wineries from the Napa Valley. The menu also features sparkling wines, natural wines and sakes from small Japanese producers. They have food to accompany the drinks as well: delicious Roman-style pizzas, cheese boards and charcuterie, fish and even chocolate. I've always managed to find free parking on side streets just up the street like on West Knoll for a couple hours, but there's also valet parking right in front and a city parking lot about a block west

5* Wine, Food, Service, and Ambiance…read more We loved our experience at this authentic, quaint, and charming wine bar, where everything, from the warm, attentive service to the quality of the food and wine, felt authentic and thoughtful.. It was truly a journey through vintage wines, complemented by an expansive collection of whites, reds, roses, and even beer. There was something for every palate and the selection made the experience feel both intimate and exploratory. What surprised me most was the quality of the food! The risotto arancini was perhaps the best I've had in a long time: crispy on the outside, perfectly creamy inside, and incredibly flavorful. The charcuterie board was another highlight, filled with delightful surprises, including marmelade jam, fava bean chips, quality cheeses, and carefully selected meatss. Every bite brought something different to the table. Overall, this is a charming spot that combines great wine, surprisingly good food and genuinly quality service. A wonderful place to gather with friends, discover new wines and enjoy a memorable evening.

The setup is fast-casual style, where you order at the bar and then find a seat. The staff was excellent throughout the visit. They were patient, took the time to answer questions, and did a great job explaining the different wine options. They also let us sample a few wines before deciding, which I always appreciate. I ended up ordering the Rosso Veronese. It was dry overall but had a touch more sweetness than I expected, which made it easy to drink given I'm not much of a wine connoisseur. We also benefited from a special on the wine because it had been featured at an event the previous day. The space itself was comfortable and inviting. We grabbed a spot on one of the couches, which gave the evening a more relaxed feel compared to a typical wine bar setup. Pricing is about what you'd expect for a wine-focused spot. It's not inexpensive, but it didn't feel unreasonable either, especially considering the service and atmosphere. Between the knowledgeable staff, the opportunity to sample wines, and the comfortable setting, I'd happily come back and try a few more selections.

For starters, I think the pours were kind of lacking? Just feels like much smaller pours than I usually get at wine bars. The menu was pretty small, and apparently out of date because a few of the things we were interested in they didn't have that day. We also had like 3x different people serve us, so by the end of it I wasn't even sure who I should be asking for the check. My friend and I sat outside, so maybe the service would be better inside or at least at the bar, but it was just kind of... average at best. I think our waitress was new, so she wasn't really able to answer any questions, and the ones she did answer, ended up being corrected later. Which actually is TOTALLY fine, like I totally understand. But then when she brought our first wines, she accidentally knocked one over or hit it with the other glass or something (it happened fast) but it shattered one of the glasses spilling red wine everywhere, and even a drop on my white shirt!! She was suuuuuuper apologetic, and I can tell she felt bad, and we were not mad. We just kept saying that its okay and accidents happen. She did even bring me soda water for my shirt. Then, we asked if we can do the charcuterie plate with just cheese and no meats (we don't eat pork) and she said sure. She told us the number of cheeses to choose, we did, but then we got a lesser number served to us by a different waiter, and incorrect cheeses. He kindly brought one of the missing cheeses, but informed us that the lesser amount was actually the correct amount for this menu item. Okay, we would have chosen differently had we known that, but alright. Maybe I'm delusional, but between the cheese mixup and the wine spillage (and staining my white shirt), I kind of half expected a little something from them. Like comping one of the four glasses of wine, or maybe an extra little top off or something to say "hey sorry we're a mess today." I would never ASK for it, because as it was I felt bad for the girl who was new, so we just paid (and tipped of course) and left. Overall, its just nothing to write home about...
