I had to hop on here and give a massive shoutout to JJ, the bouncer at The Lincoln. I'm visiting from SF, and honestly, JJ made my experience in LA so much better. It's rare to find someone working the door who is as professional and genuinely kind as he is. From the moment we walked up, he was incredibly respectful and welcoming, which set such a great vibe for the whole night. You can tell he's just a high-quality character--he manages the crowd with ease and treats everyone with dignity. It was a huge bonus to run into such a professional while exploring the city. If you're heading to The Lincoln, look out for JJ. He's the best in the business!

. They offer two kinds of non-alcoholic wine!! Woho! If you are sober or alcohol-free like me, you know how hard it is to find a bar that serves non-alcoholic wine. This bar popped up in my search a year ago while I was looking for bars in the Santa Monica area. This week, a friend and I were having dinner at a Santa Monica place and wanted to go out afterward. It was a Wednesday night, so we knew it was going to be chill. The place is beautiful, with indoor and outdoor areas. They have a long bar to sit by, couches, and some tables inside. The bartenders are nice and attentive. I really like that they offer alcohol-free wine. Will come Again! Easy, free street parking. Nice security guard at the front!

I love it here! Ever since their remodel, this has been a go to spot for me. The ambience is amazing, low light but enough to still set the tone. I had a Miami Manny and boy was that thing smacking. That mezcal boy o boy.... Our bartender was super cool and helped navigate through the wide selection of drinks. I highly recommend going here!

Great chill vibe in this mellow bar with ultra Chill bartender Ashley. Came here on a Tuesday night for a cocktails and a mood to make everything alright! Sitting at da bar, listening to the playlist of rap that makes your feet tap! I can see this bar a thump'n on the weekends a-pump'en! Great local bar with that super chill feel! Viva L.A..! Our bartender has that unique persona that keeps you engaged with a chill vibe! No worries, cause every little thing is gonna be alright! Great bar! With Great Vibes!

Came here for an event. Great vibes even for a weekday night. Our group was large so we made the spot busy. To drink, I had the cucumber/mint based drink (The Best Side)--tasty and refreshing. I liked the ambiance a lot. It's in an unassuming area, at least seemingly so. I'd come back

An amazing place!

This is a magical place and it is a wonderful gem. I usually park in the residential area across the street and have no problem getting access to the establishment. The décor is very unique and fashionable with splashes of a rustic environment. The last time we came here, it was a large group and we were able to have some nice tacos with solid drinks. The water station is super helpful and the disco ball with the dope lights throughout the place made it all a vibe. There is plenty of room to sit, chat, stand, dance, and have a relaxing and lively evening altogether. The service is so nice and the staff is very quick with cleaning up tables. The restroom was clean and the DJ played amazing music all night long. Toward the end of the night after we ate dinner, we noticed that the dance floor was never empty. The songs he played spoke to at least one group out of our entire squad! What an amazing experience!

Really enjoyed The Lincoln. The vibe is great--fun, lively, and perfect for a night out in Venice. The music was good and added a lot to the atmosphere without being too loud. Drinks were solid and well made, and the overall crowd was a good mix. Definitely a great spot if you're looking for good cocktails and a fun vibe.

To start off, this bar was a last minute plan that absolutely became the best choice of the night. As soon as I entered the place it smelled so good & they had heaters, which was amazing because it was a really cold night. Their patio is enclosed as well, & it's so aesthetic, with the disco ball & the vines. The bartender was also amazing, getting the drinks out fast, nice & efficient for the party of 20 I was in. Unfortunately they don't have any food , but they let you bring your own food which was still pretty good cause we ended up ordering pizzas & we were satisfied. Overall, this place has a really nice vibe. Would definitely come back !

Great music, good drinks, & cool bartenders! Great place to have a drink & go dancing. Unfortunately some people can be sloppy, but it's a bar/club scene so that's expected. Cheers!

Good times! For a larger group, consider reserving a table. Staff was friendly and easy to work with on reservations.

What Music will you guys be playing this Sunday 12/21 & how packed does it get on a Sunday night? Looking to hanging out there possibly for My birthday

We always have open format DJs so they play to the vibe/crowd. It's pretty mellow on Sundays - especially compared to the Fri/Sat crowd.

Do you have a DJ every Friday and Saturday evening? If so, what time?

We do! They start at 930pm

Do you ever play jazz?

We don’t unfortunately!

Do you need a reservation before 8pm tonight?

Hello! We are typically very mellow during the week so it’s easy to come in a grab a table. No reservations required. See you soon!

Is there a dj on Thursday nights?

There is!

Is it less packed on a Sunday or Monday night around 1130pm?

Yes, we’re quite mellow on weeknights :)

Do you have karaoke some nights?

We do not unfortunately

What time should I get there to get a seat for the Washington game Sunday ? Traveling from a couple hours away, heard this is the spot for Redskin fans

Hi Kevin :) I think you might have us confused with a different bar - we don’t have TVs!

What type of music on Saturday nights?

We have a range of DJs so it depends on the night - I would say mostly top 40, hip hop and radio house. Definitely a dance-party type of set list.

I would love to have my 65 th Birthday Party. Would I be able to have a live band for Music and catered food?

Hi Teresa, thank you for thinking of us! We don’t have live bands at our venue unfortunately. Feel free to reach out to info@thelincolnvenice.com for more information on booking an event or party :)

What time the Dj starts on Friday?

930!

Is there a happy hour? If so, when is it and what are the happy hour specials?

Hello! We have specials Sunday-Thursdays (all night) Sunday is a $9 shot and a beer special, Monday is 9 Old Fashioned, Tuesday is $9 margaritas, Wednesday is $9 whiskey specials and Thursday is $9 Old Fashioned and margaritas. Hope to see you soon!

Any Sunday evening events, any music?

We have DJs Tues-Sun!

Love the chics but do any guys go to this place?

Is there a DJ tomorrow evening 11/23?

Yes, 2 actually!

Is there a dj tonight?

Always!

Are you open New Years 1/1 ? Is there live music?

Of course! We have a DJ starting at 930pm that night

Do you have foosball table?

We do not!

Do you play live jazz music on fridays?

We do not - we have a DJ at 9pm on Fridays

Are you back open?

Hi we are open 7 days a week

But I was glad I came to this place. Love the atmosphere. It was energetic, a bit loud, and has a cooled retro night bar with neon signs. The alcohol display behind the bar was a spectacular view/design. It's high, making it looking pretty against the dim backdrop. We ordered four dishes, Dan Dan Mian, sichuan eggplant, chili wonton, and duck bao. The Dan Dan was unique. I didn't expect it to be spicy like all the other ones I've tried. But it was amazing! All of them were! Reservations are strongly recommended since it gets filled up pretty easily. Lastly, I want to give our waiter, Peter, a huge shoutout for being so attentive and engaging. He was on top of it! Great energy and very friendly.

The…read morerestaurant does not have a parking lot but metered parking in the front that ends at 8pm during weekdays. The restaurant was pretty empty on that Tuesday night. There must have been 3-4 parties. That night the hostess divided diners and bar patrons between the "two rooms" (the restaurant has a bar in the middle that divided the room.) We let the hostess know that we were a party of two and she seated us between two large groups in the "other" room. It was weird seating to say the least. Our table was at the curve or the booth seating and was too close to another seated party. You needed to squeeze in to get to the booth seat and my +1 volunteered to scoot in a tight pathway. Because we were between the two groups, it was extremely loud. The restaurants aesthetic is really hip. I don't remember the space at the entrance, but the room that we were in had an eye catching mural and the booth area that we were seated in made a face (with the wall being a pair of eyes and the two long booth seats meeting to make a nose.) Unfortunately, lighting was very low and I could barely see the dishes for the second half of the meal. Food was tasty. We ordered the XO fatty noodle (no bean sprouts), orange chicken and Sichuan eggplant. Everything came out hot once they were ready. I had to hold back from eating all of the orange chicken. The XO noodles, not sure if it was because we customized the dish, was too salty though.. Staff were calm to expressionless. Person who came for the bill was wiping our table while we were packing our leftovers. I didn't appreciate how they stayed with us when we were paying on their handheld machine. Overall, I enjoyed the food, but did not have the best dine in experiences.

3.5 Stars If Yelp Allowed It -- Excellent Food, Great Staff, and One Manager Who Needs a Lesson in…read moreHospitality Last night, my girlfriend and I visited Hatchet Hall for the first time, making the trek from downtown Los Angeles to Culver City. We'd heard great things and were looking forward to dinner. The evening started wonderfully. The host was warm and welcoming, and our bartender, Julia, was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, things took a turn when I ordered a $23 glass of Sancerre. The pour looked noticeably light, and my girlfriend politely mentioned it. A manager came over, asked about the concern, and immediately responded: "You can always order a second glass." EPIC FAIL. An astonishingly dismissive response from a manager at a restaurant of this caliber. Worse, he looked rather pleased with himself afterward, as though he'd delivered a particularly clever retort. Nobody was asking for anything free. We simply questioned what appeared to be a modest pour for $23. A professional response would have been to explain the standard pour size or acknowledge the concern with a little grace. Instead, his message was essentially, "If you don't think it's enough, spend more money." That is not hospitality. Another manager, Connor, subsequently came over and was considerably more gracious. He explained that the restaurant offers 3-ounce and 5-ounce pours, although nobody verified how much wine was actually in my glass. He also suggested that part of the price reflected the Sancerre name, which I found curious since Sancerre is a wine appellation, not a particular luxury producer. Regardless, the real issue wasn't the quantity of wine. It was the first manager's attitude. Then came my Old Fashioned. The cocktail itself was good, but it arrived in a glass less than half full. Presentation matters at upscale prices. Between the wine and cocktail, I wondered whether Hatchet Hall might benefit from smaller glassware. Both drinks looked rather lonely in their glasses. By contrast, my girlfriend's gimlet was beautifully prepared and delicious. Again, kudos to Julia. Now, the good news: The food was excellent. The pork chop was terrific, the octopus skewers delicious, and the cornbread an absolute must-order. No complaints whatsoever about the kitchen. Later, Connor thoughtfully brought us complimentary fried green tomatoes. They were excellent, and we appreciated the gesture. Perhaps the best example of hospitality came at the very end. While we were outside waiting for our ride, the same host who had greeted us came out, mentioned he'd heard about the incident, and wanted to make sure we were leaving on a positive note. THAT is how you treat customers. He demonstrated genuine concern despite having nothing to do with the earlier interaction. Management should recognize him for that, just as Julia deserves recognition for her outstanding service. Our dinner for two came to approximately $275, including a 20% tip for Julia. At that price point, excellent food should come with equally excellent hospitality. Having worked in the service industry myself, I understand the difference between an unreasonable demand and a legitimate question. With Los Angeles restaurants facing an increasingly difficult business environment, dismissive customer service is an especially poor strategy. Would we return? Probably. The food was genuinely excellent, Julia was terrific, and Connor and the host made meaningful efforts to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. And that's what makes the experience frustrating. Hatchet Hall clearly employs people who understand hospitality. Unfortunately, one manager demonstrated the exact opposite. If Yelp allowed half-stars, I'd give Hatchet Hall 3.5. The kitchen and several staff members deserve better than three stars, but that initial manager's response left a sour taste that even an excellent dinner couldn't entirely erase. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. "You can always order a second glass" is a textbook example of what NOT to say to a customer raising a reasonable concern. Great food gets people through the door. Great hospitality brings them back.

Wallflower was okay, not bad not amazing…read more The place is pretty small so there isn't a lot of room. We got lucky and got an outdoor table but I was basically back to back with someone behind me at another table. As far as service went, the server did a good job giving us recommendations when we asked, we basically ordered what she told us to which made it easier. The food itself was good, but not super amazing. The portions are quite small, and it's implied to be done family style, but we had to order quite a lot of food for 4 people to feel full (and we weren't that full, we went for dessert somewhere else after). We got: - Prawn skewers: pretty good prawns, I recommend this - Duck lumpia: fine but nothing special - Indonesian sate: not that interesting - Beef rendang: tasty but comically small portion - Char kway teow: probably the most satisfying thing we had - Chicken rice: it's rice Ended up somehow spending a ton of money here despite not getting very full or very impressed with the food, so have to give 3 stars. Props to the service and atmosphere, though.
