Squid ink pasta with scallops (pasta of the day)
Pamela R.

Came for mother's day and the restaurant was a great choice for it. Location-wise, it's right next to Venice beach so we parked at the beach lot for $9 all day. We sat inside and it had a nice ocean breeze and nicely decorated. We ordered their grilled skewers for appetizer, then penne a pomodoro, seafood risotto, lobster ravioli, and 2 pastas of the day which were papardelle with short rib and squid ink with scallops. They also provided complimentary bread with olive oil and vinaigrette. Service was friendly and attentive. Recommend coming for date night or special occasions. Total was around $260 for everything we ordered (plus 20% servixe charge for a party of 6).

I went to Casa 12, an Italian spot just steps from the beach, last summer--sorry for the late review, I post when I remember. The night I went, it was packed, which I usually avoid, but I'm so glad I gave it a chance. I had one of the most memorable dishes I've had in a long time: portobello mushrooms with shaved parmesan. Months later, I still think about that dish--it was easily one of the best things I ate in 2025. We also had a couple of pastas and drinks; everything was good, though my pasta (with sausage) wasn't my favorite. Total was around $140, so not cheap, but not unreasonable for the area. Honestly, I would go back just for those mushrooms. Highly recommend.

Pappardelle with short rib

Cozy little restaurant right in front of the Venice pier, not much room and it's quite noisy inside where you can really have a conversation without yelling which is annoying. Service was prompt and our hostess came to check on us frequently and explained the specials to us. We ordered the grilled octopus and a ragu pasta of some kind and the social of the day which was pappardelle with short rib. I'd say the octopus was cooked really well, I've never experienced that kind of texture (no rubbery feeling) with octopus. The pasta was solid and the sauces were rich but not overwhelming, however the serving sizes for everything was pretty tiny and I felt disappointed compared to the size of the bill.

Fettuccine Verdi alla Bolognese (white plate), Fusilli al Fungh (black plat). Both are delicious!

I'm gonna put it plain and simple; come here if you would like to eat great authentic Italian food. We were served by Paulino who is a master and knowing his menu and the food that comes out of the kitchen. The atmosphere was light and airy and you don't have to dress all the way up either. It's small and quaint and intimate and the candles on the table are real. Take a look at the pictures that we've added so that you can see what we ate and I'm gonna tell you both plates were delicious. Thank you Paulino for excellent service we will come back and see you soon. FYI, here is what we ate: Fusilli al Funghi (black plate) Wild mushroom, Creamy Parmigiano Reggiano with a side of chicken Fettuccine Verdi alla Bolognese (white plate) Spinoch fetticcine tossed in a traditional italian veal and beef ragù

Such a cute local spot! Can't believe it took us so long to find this spot. Great ambience inside and out. The food.... Omg. Every single thing we had was delicious. Definitely pay attention to the daily specials bc they really are special. We'll be back soon for sure

Veal Ossobuco Ravioli!

Came here with friends on a whim one evening after a day of reveling. Casa 12 is a cozy restaurant with a small outdoor patio. We were seated outside as the weather was perfect for al fresco dining. ;-) The service was very fast and friendly. We all ordered our own meals (usually we tend to share), and I ordered the Veal Ossobuco Ravioli. WOW! I absolutely love Ossobuco, and I absolutely love ravioli, so this was a match made in Heaven! The menu looks fantastic, and I plan on eventually eating my way through the whole thing! Can't wait to get back here again.

It's about time I posted a review for Casa 12. It's walking distance from our condo in Marina del Rey. We've enjoyed several dinners here over the last two years. The food is very good, as is the service. This is a delightful beachside restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.

Carbonara pasta & chicken with lemon caper sauce

It is located just steps from the beach with ample parking. Outside they had live music. Finally got to check this place out and I'm so glad I did! This is the best food I've had in a long time. I got the carbonara and the chicken with lemon caper sauce. Everything tasted so fresh. The staff was great with helping us pick suggestions. Overall a place you must check out!

This place was so gorgeous. Right along the beach and next to the pier, we went to another place and grab drinks before hand right next door and after dinner we got sunset at the beach. We sat outdoors and it had a full window opening inside so very warm vibes. Got a 10/10 dirty martini here with some truffle fries and for everyone's entree it was amazing. My sister got a Caesar salad and it came out with a fly in it unfortunately... they were nice about it and remade one for her. Appetizers were also so worth it!

Spiedini. Shrimp skewers.

The food was delicious. We were iffy because it seemed like a touristy spot because it's on the beach, which normally means it's overrated. The crostino was literally to die for. Our entire table wanted more. The shrimp was good. The Gorgonzola was very good as well. Very heavy pasta but that's what I ordered so can't complain!

How is the parking?

Hi Cynthia. There is a very big beach parking and the end of Washington. Basically in front of the restaurant 😊

They don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait. There's a few bars nearby if you're waiting. Once you're able to sit down, you'll find a cute wine bar with amazing food that doesn't disappoint. Don't skip the fries. They're some of the best things I've eaten. I dream about those fries. The Peruvian scallops are dreamy. Very light, very refreshing. The same can be said about the cucumber salad. The standout of the evening was by far the burger. I've been to Dudley Market a handful of times, and I'd yet to try it. I'm so glad that I did. It was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had before. I highly recommend ordering this. Overall, Dudley Market is a fantastic restaurant in Venice Beach and I hope it stays our neighborhood spot for a long time.

We waited about an hour. The food was delicious though. Almost every item we got was a hit, but the sweet potato dish was a hit and the burger was as advertised. The restaurant is tucked away from the boardwalk but it's pretty lively inside and maybe during the warmer months they spill out into the street.

We had to…read morequickly pivot for a group dinner of ten when our original spot fell through... called Zinque, they were happy to accommodate, and we were seated within minutes. Clutch! We sat outside on the patio, which is lovely. Fair warning: it IS outdoors. As in, nature-outdoors. A cricket made a cameo on the wall behind us. Totally fine, just good to know! The vibe is lively and buzzy, which is great, though a little noisy for a group of ten that actually wanted to catch up with each other. Service was so-so. Our server checked in occasionally, but when we actually wanted to order another round of drinks, he was nowhere to be found and had to do some significant amount of watching to find him and get his attention. One thing that worked really well: he took orders by seat, which made checkout shockingly painless. Scan the QR code at the table, select your seat, and all your items are right there. Splitting ten ways was easy. Note: if you're paying via Inkind, you can't split by seat but you can enter your specific amount. Food: * LeBowl: My order and I'm absolutely coming back for this. Grains, veggies, and a surprisingly generous portion of chicken on top. Hearty, fresh, and satisfying. * Hummus appetizer: We got two for the table. The menu says it comes with focaccia... the bread was oiled and toasted and delicious, but I wouldn't call it focaccia. No complaints though! * Wine: Picked one blind off the menu, enjoyed it. Easy win. It is a little pricey... but maybe that's just Los Angeles these days. Parking: There is a big lot in the back. I somehow did not know this and parked a block away. At least I got a little post-dinner stroll in!

It has a relaxed, European feel with a clean, open layout that works just as well for a morning coffee as it does for an evening glass of wine. It is comfortable, social, and easy to spend a few hours in without feeling rushed. The food is consistently good and well executed. The menu leans toward simple, French-inspired dishes done right rather than anything overly complex. Everything feels fresh, well portioned, and thoughtfully prepared. It is the kind of place where you can order a few items to share and know they will all be solid. The drink selection is another strong point. The wine list is approachable but well curated, and the coffee program holds up for daytime visits. It transitions seamlessly from café to wine bar, which is part of what makes it so versatile. Service is efficient and low-pressure, which fits the overall concept perfectly. Overall, Zinqué is not about being flashy. It is about consistency, atmosphere, and quality across the board. A great go-to spot whether you are meeting friends, working during the day, or having a relaxed dinner.

I wasn't sure I would like it or not, but I can tell you I ended up eating it all. It was awesome, every single dish! I'm going here again...even without her haha! We started with the focaccia which was delicious, although it tastes different than what gluten made focaccia tastes like. It was very light and crisp, not as rustic as regular gluten made, and even more enjoyable with the spiced olive oil that accompanied it. As an appetizer we tried the fried stuffed squash blossom with minted ricotta. OMG!! That was SO incredibly tasty! We definitely want that again... and we will later Today! I had the pasta Bolognese and my friend had the fish and chips which we shared and we both loved each of them. The fish was so crispy and delicious and it came with gluten-free fries which were also awesome. We had two glasses of wine which we loved, and we were very impressed with our server, Cameron, who is obviously an expert on their impressively large wine collection. He is a legitimate wine connoisseur. I asked a couple of ridiculous questions, yet he answered them so politely with his highly knowledgable answer. He was such a wonderful SOMM as well as a very friendly and personable server... with a wonderful sense of humor. So. I want people who are not gluten-free to know it's good to try to try this place. Everything is not only tasty but beautifully presented and the room is so cozy. If you're worried about trying gluten-free don't be. I asked Cameron's opinions on the food and I'll tell you he did not steer us wrong. Highly recommended by both of us; My friend with Celiac disease and myself who professors to be 'normal' (not gluten free). Oh.. we could not fit in dessert, but are very sad not to have been able to.
