This was a terribly disappointing experience. The restaurant has a cute, eclectic atmosphere right on the pier where the sand meets the water. We had high hopes because it was lively, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to the setting or the service. It wasn't terrible, but it was surprisingly lackluster. Every dish was beautifully presented, but the flavors fell flat. The ribs looked fantastic but were disappointingly tough, and the rest of the meal was simply average. It's the kind of place that makes a great first impression, but the food just didn't deliver on the promise.

I just stopped by here because the music so good my friend knew the band. Definitely a good place to check out. It's the last piece before the pier on the right side.

All of their food is excellent!! the pineapple jam on that burger is serious. Their bartenders have 20+ years in the game and run the place like pros. The best restaurant on Venice Beach with tons of seating inside and out, literally right on the beach. and if you feel like surfing, they even have guest boards you can grab from inside the restaurant and take to the water. This place is a blast. I'll definitely be back ASAP.

Was walking on the side walk and noticed the sign for a frozen Jack Daniel lemonade. Immediately caught my eye, and it definitely hit the spot. Super refreshing, and you can actually taste the alcohol but not in a bad way!! Guca and chips were a nice addition too.

August 29, 2025 | Venice Beach | Nalu Vida is beachside, has eye-catching, colorful dishes, along with an incredibly flavorful Poke Bowl! Poke Bowl | A bowl of colorful ingredients with memorable flavor! You have a choice of Ahi Tuna, Salmon or Beets! The mouthwatering combination of Sesame Oil Tossed Red Cabbage, Pickled Cucumber, Garlic Edamame, Radish, Ponzu, Avocado Chile Oil, White Rice, & Bang Bang Sauce memories makes me crave a bite! Yum! This bowl is a vibe! I highly recommend! Decor | Beach-y, as it's on Venice Beach & even has a surfboard actually secured onto the ceiling! Plenty of colorful & stylish seating inside, as well as an extended outside patio! Word of Mouth | My friend was in town via Italy & we ran into my neighbor/friend as we were stepping onto the sand! He invited us to lunch at Nalu Vida! He eats there often & one of his favorites is the Avocado Bagel, which I'll have to try soon, as I've not seen a bagel quite like that before! Customer Service | Our server Carly was friendly, as well as helpful w/the menu! Everyone that appeared at our table was friendly as well! Welcoming atmosphere! Overall | Yes! Grateful that this colorful restaurant is just steps away! While I want to explore the rest of the menu, I would easily walk right over for that flavorful Poke Bowl! Let's go!

What's not to love? Beach bar with great food + daily happy hour deals! I happened upon this place on my first visit to Venice and grabbed a spot on the street/patio. There was great people watching and the service was great. Nice spot to grab a drink and a snack -- or more. If I had more time I would have sat there all day. Happy hour deals were great, views were even better. Good vibes all around.

I went to this place a little after Happy Hour on Thursday. Thursday nights also features a live jazz band on the heated patio. There was also a rams game on at the bar, so this place had a little bit of everything. The drink I ordered was the old fashion with 14 year old scotch, there was a rep from Glendfiddch there and she was giving out free drinks. The food was good, the chips and guac was fine, their red salsa was good. The crispy rice was also very flavorful, the hosin sauce drizzle on the plate brought it all together. I looked at the specials and couldn't resist getting the in-n-out burger flat bread. Ok first of all, it does taste like in-n-out, I was shocked and surprised! For $17, I thought it was reasonable and tasty. I would like to come back for brunch when it's a little warmer but the heaters were perfect. The service was also good, the food came out fast once we were able to order. I think there was only 2 servers when we were there so it just took a little bit to track them down. Overall, it was a decent evening.

We spent the day at the beach and this place is literally the first restaurant when you leave the Venice Beach pier parking lot so it was perfect for us. I love the outdoor seating and the patio seating is nice if it's a little too chilly in the evening. The food was delicious. We had the catch of the day which was Rockfish, the oysters, and a couple poke bowls. The fish was cooked perfectly and even the rice and bok choy were both flavorful. The poke bowls were delicious and had a great variety of vegetables with plenty of flavor. The best part of our visit was our waitress, Dominique. She was so patient with us answered all our questions. She was attentive and gave us some great suggestions. We will definitely be back.

Great service and food. The chips, salsa, and guac were fresh. Flatbread and tacos were good and perfectly filling. Such a cute place with good vibes / music!

First line on the beach, you can see the ocean with a good espresso martini they have a variety of drinks and delicious fish taco or vegan Dorito tacos, reasonable prices and a really good customer service thank you, Ashley

    Breakfast burrito!
    Sarah K.

Our volunteer fire relief group got breakfast burritos from here several times over the course of a few weeks, and there is something about them that is truly magic. Maybe it's the ratio of hash brown to everything else, maybe it's the gooey cheese, maybe it's the tortillas, maybe it's the reasonable size and not feeling awful after eating it - maybe it's everything! The staff was also very kind and supportive. Highly highly recommend, and can't wait to try more.

This spot has improved by leaps and bounds! I've been coming to this area regularly for the better part of 20 years. My first few tries soon after they opened left me wanting a little more flavor and uniqueness (particularly in the chicken sandwich), but with this beautiful location I had high hopes that this place would grow as they settled into their new space. And YES they did not disappoint! Came for breakfast yesterday with kiddo and today solo and both experiences were stellar. Chill vibes, tasty food, attentive and kind service, all tempered by the sound of the waves in the distance. The burrito is by far a stand out, and my kiddo nearly finished all of her French toast, eggs, potatoes, and bacon (and passed the fruit on to me). I guess it's a testament to my reinvigorated pleasure that I came back So glad I have another place to pop into when I want a taste "Venice".

Super cute place on the beach. After a long walk we decided to stop and have a snack. All day happy hour... yes please. Our server Cayley was the best. Very nice and on it. Always there at the right time. She had a bunch of tables but was still there when we needed something. The little had a cheese burger and gave it 2 thumbs up. Being a fry connoisseur these were good. The wings were cooked well, but I wasn't a fan of the sauce. Too sweet for me. I definitely recommend the Marg. It was great sitting under the cover but we were still outside. Definitely check this place out.

I sat at the bar and ordered the Manhattan Clam Chowder along with a pasta dish with chicken which as fine, but I have had better. The vibe was great because of the soccer and this was the most crowded I have ever seen this place since opening about 5 years ago. Rumors say the place is for sale, and one of the problems is that they constantly are changing the menu. The prices are a little steep, but that is the case everywhere as food prices have exploded and I have noticed couples sharing an entree versus ordering separately. The service is fine but the restaurant by now should have an established and reliable menu. I'll be back and this place caters to an under 30 crowd. RECOMMEND.

This also wasn't the first time. On several recent visits, the same customer sits in the corner working on his laptop while allowing his large black-and-brown dog to wander throughout the restaurant instead of keeping it close by. It made both friends and myself uncomfortable enough that we chose to leave each time. As someone who was attacked by a dog as a child, this is especially difficult for me. I actually have a dog of my own, so this isn't about disliking dogs. I completely understand that this is a very dog-friendly neighborhood, and I have no issue with dogs when they're leashed, supervised, and under their owner's control. I hope the restaurant returns to enforcing those expectations so everyone--including guests who may have fears, allergies, or simply prefer not to have dogs roaming around--can enjoy the space again. I've always liked this place and would love to feel comfortable coming back.

The view is amazing and the roof feels like a little oasis - if you couldn't see all of Venice from the top, you'd think you were in the French Riviera at a beach club. The staff were so sweet, and our waitress was amazing. We loved chatting with her! Here is what we ordered: - spanakopita quesadilla - so good! I didn't love the sauce on the side, but I didn't think it needed it. - fried zucchini chips - delicious! The whipped feta on the side was sooo good and I loved how light but flavorful these were. - crispy halloumi - probably my favorite dish of the night! The tomato with the crispy cheese was soooo good. Would definitely get this again!! I ordered the elderflower peach spritz first, and then the sage by the bell. Both were absolutely delicious in their own ways! The spritz was much more sugary, and the sage by the bell was very different and mezcal-forward. I loved it! I also loved being able to valet park - it ended up being cheaper than where our friends parked a few blocks away! And the hotel staff were kind enough to charge our electric car for us while we were there. It was such a pleasant surprise to come back to. Getting to the roof is a little annoying, as you have to wait for an elevator and line up outside. But it really isn't a big deal, and the rest of the experience makes up for it for sure. It's been there for some time, so there's a bit of grime and decay almost everywhere you look. And if it isn't exactly "charming," it's very comfortable and welcoming, with an ocean breeze blowing through the open, upstairs deck, and a friendly staff working hard to keep everyone happy. The upstairs patio area was pretty full when I arrived, but I snagged a seat at the bar and still got to enjoy both the view and the breeze. They have a nice selection of beachy cocktails (the gals next to me were drinking out of fresh-cut coconuts), and a quite a few beers on tap (with plenty of ice cold glasses at the ready). To get things going, I ordered a Don Julio tequila neat, and the pour was generous. I also ordered a Caesar Salad with Blackened Shrimp, which was delivered after only about 5 minutes. Despite the swiftness of the prep, the salad was quite good. Baby Gem lettuce, nicely coated with a creamy-but-not-too-creamy dressing that had a robust, garlicky flavor that was pleasing rather than overpowering. Yes, there were the ubiquitous croutons; but there were also quite a few fried capers, which added an appealing, extra layer to the flavor profile. The Blackened Shrimp that I added were small but plentiful, and very nicely seasoned, providing a solid smack of spice that contrasted well against the dressing. It really was a very good salad. The gals to my right were eating freshly shucked oysters that looked quite good. They must have enjoyed them, because they ordered another dozen. Across from me, a body builder chowed down on a great-looking burger, and everyone at the bar seemed to really be enjoying their food. The servers -- Lily and Arian -- were swift and chatty despite being pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon.
