I was looking for a place to meet a friend near the ocean. The menu at this restaurant looked delicious and we decided to give it a try. There is both indoor and patio dining. The vibe is casual and beach chic. All of the food is delicious and this is one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The restaurant has very few parking spaces on site. The only downside is that the paid parking is ridiculously expensive. Anywhere from $10 to 15 minutes to an hour, $20 for two hours and the price goes up and up. There is one hour metered parking nearby which isn't very convenient if you have to keep going back to refill the meter. If you're lucky you might find distant street parking that is unpaid. This is nothing against the restaurant, but as Venice as a city in general. High prices like these without any special validation, are sure to keep people from coming to these places at all if you can't afford it. Perhaps that's how Venice would like to keep it. Only people who can afford the parking are allowed to enjoy these businesses. read more

I always try to sit out on the patio, and this most recent visit was the perfect sunny day to do so. We had to wait about 30 minutes for Saturday brunch, which is to be expected, so while waiting, we walked along Venice Beach. When we got seated, the waitress immediately served us water and took our drink orders. The strawberry Matcha is better than any that I've ever had in a coffee shop. It was perfectly balanced, and the strawberry purée tasted Fresh! For our meals, I got a breakfast burrito, while everyone else got some version of a pleated breakfast. Everything was delicious. The eggs in the breakfast burrito were perfectly cooked, and the chipotle sauce that came with it was absolutely the cherry on top of an already perfect cake. It was fine, popped over for a drink at hotel Erwin. They do take your number and page you to let you know when your table is ready and a 10 minutes grace time for arrive. Outside, has your picnic table communal feel which is also nice with covered umbrellas. Service was great, friendly staff and great food. We started off with some cocktails, nice as well. The mushroom fries were delicious as well as the ceviche. Everything was fresh and prepared nicely. Entrees, the smoked salmon pizza, nice big chunks of salmon and the crust was perfect. Bit too thick. The chicken kabobs with the shredded veggies salad and pita. Chicken was cooked perfectly and the dipping sauce was a perfect combo. The fish tacos, which was served in lettuce was more of a lettuce wrap. It was good. And the poke bowl with black rice. That was good too but it was basically the ceviche with black rice.
