Great White is an absolute must while in Venice! It's such a quintessential California breakfast spot. I went with the acai bowl and a matcha latte, and both were exactly what I wanted for a fresh, easy breakfast. The atmosphere is just as much a part of the experience as the food.
Went here for brunch and they were really busy. We didn't have any reservations so it was a bit of a wait. We walked to Venice Beach to pass the time. We didn't have to wait long. Food was really delicious. The service was really slow, though. I would recommend for brunch and if you are not in a rush.
We had a great dinner here last night. We sat on the patio and had great service. The weather finally changed at night a bit so we actually enjoyed the heaters! We started with an Aperol Spritz and a Tequila. We loved the crispy Brussels sprouts with nuoc cham, cilantro, and sesame. I LOVED this dish! We also had the pepperoni pizza with mozzarella, parmesan, tomato sauce and oregano. The crust was thin and the pieces are on the smaller size but it still packed a punch! We also shared the Tremendous Burger with double smash patties, caramelized fennel, American cheese, secret sauce, lettuce and fries! The fries were outstanding, crispy, salty, and hot-just the way I like them! We were too full for dessert but next time...
Ive been here for lunch but i've heard great things about their breakfast items so i had to give it a try. I got the breakfast burrito and it was super, super good - would get again. I just didnt love how wet it got toward the bottom and the salsa was nottt the best. Otherwise, very flavorful and yummy. My friends loved their dishes as well and also said they would order both again. Service and location were incredible as usual - love all the workers there and the amazing venice views
My friends and I came for a pretty late lunch, and it was busier than expected for 3pm, but no wait for a table. We sat in the cute outdoor patio area under some shade on a really nice day. Our server was friendly and gave my friend recommendations when he asked. I ordered the Pisco Passion and Swim Club sandwich with sweet potato fries. The drink was light and refreshing. The sandwich was delicious with all the flavors combining well together, and the fries were nice and crisp. I do think it's a tad expensive, but I had a good experience there and would consider going back.
My friend Martin introduced me to Great White, and each time I have gone, I have had a lovely relaxing time. Beautiful decor, beautiful people, and wonderful staff. I was lucky enough to have Jaclyn (Jacqueline?) as my server, and she brought so much fun energy to her job. I live too far away to be a regular, but I can see how this place could easily become a "stop in when I'm in the area" kind of place.
Husband and I shared the banana bread and breakfast burrito (add avocado). He had a coffee I had cold brew. It was a delightful. Great space love the light fixtures. Coffe smelled so good and was really tasty. Food was excellent. Very good breakfast burrito with still crispy potatoes in it. Banana bread was light and griddled and phenomenal.
I was looking for a place to meet a friend near the ocean. The menu at this restaurant looked delicious and we decided to give it a try. There is both indoor and patio dining. The vibe is casual and beach chic. All of the food is delicious and this is one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The restaurant has very few parking spaces on site. The only downside is that the paid parking is ridiculously expensive. Anywhere from $10 to 15 minutes to an hour, $20 for two hours and the price goes up and up. There is one hour metered parking nearby which isn't very convenient if you have to keep going back to refill the meter. If you're lucky you might find distant street parking that is unpaid. This is nothing against the restaurant, but as Venice as a city in general. High prices like these without any special validation, are sure to keep people from coming to these places at all if you can't afford it. Perhaps that's how Venice would like to keep it. Only people who can afford the parking are allowed to enjoy these businesses.
Wow this place was just ok yes of course their burrito was great but I've had better , and prices are pretty up there. So if you prefer a better taco place then just go up the street. Service was a little hectic slow, since it was really packed. Had to wait a few times to get even ice water or get a refill of water with a lot of people waiting means it was pretty chill just a lot of people since it's summertime so it's just an a ok restaurant . I would maybe try it again but just for coffee or something but not for lunch or anything like that.

Breakfast menu had a lot of delicious sounding options but I went for the breakfast burrito with hot sauce and it was fantastic. Breakfast burritos are very hit or miss IMO and this was a hit. I also had two cappuccinos bc I am a caffeine fiend and also jet lagged and they were both very good. Highly recommend to anyone in the neighborhood. I just realized they have other locations throughout LA too which I'm sure are also good but this one did not disappoint at all.
I came to visit a friend and this was one of our first stops straight off the plane. Everything on the menu sounded amazing but we ended up sharing the avocado dip, a breakfast burrito, and finished with the diavola pizza. Yummy food!!! Eddie is fantastic and the sweetest! We had great service and my favorite thing about him was that after he learned I love sauce, he kept bringing different in house made sauces for me to try. This restaurant is so beautiful and sitting on the patio was a great start to our afternoon!

Best coffee I had my two weeks in the area, unbeatable acai bowl, delicious sandwhich and beautiful atmosphere. They were steadily busy but the service never missed a beat. I'm still dreaming of my latte - yes you should get two.

I met my friend for breakfast this morning at 8:30 am. Since it was so early, we were able to grab a four-top table on their patio, just outside of the open-air, stylishly beachy restaurant. We both ordered coffees, a latte and an Americano. She had the overnight oats bowl, which looked delicious and filing, and I had the avocado toast on sourdough. So fresh and good! The staff were very nice and friendly, and this is a great, laidback place to have breakfast. There is a large parking lot in front of the restaurant; paid parking only. I will come back and bring my boyfriend! Great location across the street from Venice Beach, too. read more

I don't usually leave negative reviews because I always try to focus on the positive aspects of a business and give credit where it's due. Unfortunately, my experience at Great White in Venice left me disappointed, and the main reason was the service. First, we arrived around 9:15 a.m. after seeing that the restaurant opened at 8:00 a.m., only to find out that opening had been delayed until 9:30 a.m. Honestly, that wasn't a problem at all. We waited outside, and when guests started arriving, we got in line and ended up being among the first few parties seated. The food itself was good, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. My issue was with our server, Nate. I understand that everyone has bad days, and I also work in the hospitality industry, so I try to be very understanding. However, the service felt extremely cold, detached, and uninterested from the beginning to the end of our meal. I'm not expecting over-the-top friendliness or a formal introduction, but there was virtually no warmth, no engagement, and no sense that he wanted to be there. Throughout our visit, an older gentleman working on the floor (possibly a busser or food runner) showed far more hospitality, attentiveness, and genuine care for guests than our actual server did. After we had finished eating, I ordered an orange juice while waiting for some pancakes to-go. I was asked whether I wanted the juice for here or to-go, and I specifically requested it for here. I then waited approximately 30 minutes. During that time, I received my check, paid my bill (including a generous tip), and watched multiple tables that had been seated after us receive their drinks and food while I continued waiting. My server walked by several times, looked in our direction, but never followed up or asked if we were still waiting on anything. Eventually, I flagged down another server, who was very kind and immediately looked into the situation. She returned and explained that the orange juice had apparently never made it onto the screen. However, I had taken a photo of my receipt, and the orange juice was clearly listed and charged. The issue was never the $10 orange juice. Mistakes happen. We all make them. The disappointing part was that nobody simply acknowledged the mistake or offered a sincere apology. A quick "I'm sorry, that was my mistake" would have completely changed the experience. One additional observation: I was told that cash is only accepted if you have the exact amount. That's perfectly fine, but I think that policy should be clearly posted at the entrance or on the restaurant's website so guests know beforehand. Again, I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, and I genuinely wanted to leave a positive one because the food and atmosphere were enjoyable. Unfortunately, hospitality is about more than just delivering food to a table. Based on this experience, it seemed that our server either dislikes working in customer service or was having a very bad day. Either way, many other staff members we interacted with demonstrated the warmth, energy, and hospitality that guests hope to experience when dining out. read more

Strolled through Venice Beach and stopped by this much-talked-about spot (thankfully had a reservation!). The place was buzzing and had such a great vibe inside. We didn't catch our server's name, but she was an absolute delight - warm, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. We started with her recommendation, the Diavoli pizza--thin crust, perfectly done, and the salami tasted more like pepperoni (exactly what we were hoping for). For mains, my husband had the shrimp pasta, and my sister and I shared the salmon curry. Both dishes were good, but the salmon curry truly stood out--rich, flavorful, and paired with sweet potato, chickpeas, and black rice, which was such a unique and delicious surprise. My review is specifically for their breakfast burrito. I've eaten it once before, a couple years ago and it was pretty great. Ordered the same thing (breaky burrito with no bacon, but avocado instead) and it just wasn't up to par. It's always crowded so maybe just an off day? Regardless, this is LA so you have plenty of breakfast burrito spots to choose from. On the weekends, it's a bit chaotic inside and not the best organization so be patient. I might give it another whirl if I find myself back in Venice Beach and craving a burrito. Or maybe I'll try something else for a change. Albeit crowded, ambience is open and welcoming for groups. read more

The Great White was (mostly) a great find. For a party of two, the wait was about fifteen minutes, which felt reasonable during the lunch rush. We ordered the following: * Banana bread - Came highly recommended, but unfortunately a hard pass for me. It did not live up to the hype and was a bit dry. * Black cod with mushrooms - The fish was moist, the mushrooms perfectly cooked. Definitely recommend. * Fish tacos - Or more accurately, fish lettuce wraps. While missing the tortilla/hard shell, they were still very tasty. The sauce had just the right amount of heat. Service was solid overall. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the front hostess was welcoming. The food runners were efficient--nothing more, nothing less. The restaurant has a bright, airy ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is limited, but the location is just a short stroll from the beach. The parking here is a whole situation so you can either rely on luck or factor in at least 15-20 minutes to find some depending on what time of day you're heading in. Our server was great and I enjoyed the ambiance of this location even on a cloudy day! Food was decent - portion sizes were pretty good but I would say the menu is quite overpriced for the quality. Super overpriced and portion is shamefully small I got a mushroom pizza, a harvest bowl, a burrito and a smoothie bowl to share with two girls and we left feeling hungry still. The mushroom pizza was very dry and there wasn't any impressive cheese pull. The truffle wasn't infused into the mushroom. Felt a bit out of place The bowl was very bad lol. They put a bunch of random stuff in there and the bowl was literally half empty. I've been coming to this place for several times and food is always great! I always order toast and poached eggs, and extra add ons. Service thought on the other hand is always slow. My servers most of the time only present to take my food order, barely come back to check during my meal. I would always have to wait over 15 minutes after I finished my plate and sometimes it's quite bothersome to look around for my server to close out. Had breakfast at this spot on a Saturday just looking ti go get some eggs, right nothing crazy. This place was next level delicious. Nothing crazy just beautiful food. Had the great white/ wish I had a picture, was refreshing and hardy- absolutely one of the best breakfast dishes I have ever had- pure LA style.. One of the smoothest beers I've ever met! In love! Appetizer: Tuna Tostada a 5! Three mini tostadas to die for. All around fresh and flavorful...trust me! Came here for Saturday dinner and it was packed inside and outside with their outdoor patio. They really stuck to their great white theme. The restaurant color was white with white menus and servers all wearing white. We ordered the harvest bowl and the salmon coconut curry. The harvest bowl was so tasty. I dont usually eat salad but I would eat more salads if they tasted like that! My salmon curry bowl was tangy which I'm not used to for curry but it was good. Service was good. Pricing was ok. Personally wouldn't come back for the food, the ambience is nice tho. Great White Breakie, 3/5: I wouldn't get this sourdough was stale and tough, the egg was like a mug microwaved egg, and the the bacon and arugula together was a salty bomb. The cherry tomatoes were great tho! Crispy Chicken Sandwich, 4/5: Loved how the batter was like a fish filet, it's not a typical crispy chicken. The meat was juicy and the sauce was really good, but the bun is drenched in the sauce. Wish the chicken was bigger, way more bun than bread. Came on Saturday 11am - 12pm and only had to wait 35 mins! Definitely very crowded and loud. Interior is nice but definitely feels squished inside. read more

We decided to come here for brunch last minute on a Saturday and only had to wait about 15 min, thankfully. I thought it would be a high priced, low quality type of restaurant but I was VERY WRONG. The ingredients came from farms that are listed on the back of the menu and the restaurant served food that came from quality ingredients and delivered with a lot of flavor. The restaurant was BUSY yet the server was able to find us in good time and serve food in a timely manner while also giving us to space to enjoy time with the company we were with. Wow, what a busy busy place I came here on a Saturday morning around 10 AM and we just beat the crowd. We were able to get seated right away, but I believe we took the last table or there was one more table available. It was a cloudy day so the heaters were perfect I felt like the food portion was sortof small because we finished our breakfast and was still hungry so we ordered from the lunch menu. Not pictured the strawberry matcha! It was so delightful! My favorite was the cod it was beautifully done and the banana bread because it's not so sweet! I like how it's not too sweet here! Had an amazing weekend brunch with a friend. Everything we ordered was delicious and thoughtfully done. The crispy Brussels sprouts were perfectly charred with that ideal balance of savory, crispy, and a little sticky-sweet. Easily some of the best I've had. The chicken wings were next-level: deeply flavorful, tender on the inside, crisp on the outside, and not drowning in sauce (which I appreciate). It was a bit on the salty side but what was so nice was that they were stuffed on the inside. The ceviche with taro chips was easily the winner for me: super fresh and bright, with avocado and just the right amount of acidity -- light, clean, and perfect for a sunny Venice afternoon. The creaminess of the avocado took away the edge of acid that most ceviche dishes lead with. The vibe is relaxed but elevated, the patio is great for people-watching, and everything felt effortlessly well executed. Great White is one of those places that makes simple food feel special without overcomplicating it. Will absolutely be back. read more

You can get a code from them AFTER your first order. If it didn't show up, contact them. Burrito is pretty tasty imo!

Yes - but if it's the weekend be prepared to have a long wait. On a weekday brunch though we were able to sit down right away.
