Cute little spot in Venice - perfect for lunch. Randomly found this spot while visiting a friend in the area. Really kitschy spot with an eclectic feel. We were sat in this sunroom looking area with a menagerie of varying decor. Burgers caught our eye and we got the CA roll, spicy tuna, and the money (PB&J). All of them were amazing, especially my CA roll. It was probably one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The crab really took the burger to another level and it's something I'd order over and over again. The Money was good - reminds me of the peanut butter and jealousy at Slater 50/50. Peanut butter on anything and I'm already a fan. For starter we got the cauliflower wings. Also delicious. Packed with flavor. We opted for the garlic parm. Overall great place. Came here for a group dinner and it was very empty so I was a bit surprised by that. I ended up getting the katsu California roll burger because I saw all the reviews about it. Unfortunately I thought it was just ok. The other people in my group got the creole pasta, lamb chops and tuna salad. They all seemed to enjoy theirs and the pasta looked really good. 10/1/25 I came here with my coworkers for dinner and it was such a great experience. I ordered the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and green beans along with a lychee martini. Everything was absolutely fantastic. We shared cheesy toasted bread and Brussels sprouts as appetizers and they were just as delicious. 26 Beach is a really fun and an eclectic place to have a nice meal, you could almost call it Bohemian, but the food quality is very good so that alone makes it worth a visit. I have been for dinner a few times, but stopped in for my first time for brunch this past weekend and had a great meal. We were a party of two arriving around 10 AM on Saturday. We did not have to wait at all to be seated and service the entire meal was very fast. There is a free parking lot directly behind the restaurant, the entrance is a very narrow alley directly to the right of the front door of the restaurant. Just go down that and behind the restaurant you will see at least 6-8 spaces. We started off our meal with a couple of iced lattes and thought they were very good. We ordered with French vanilla and it was honestly really nice. For my breakfast I chose the Baja Benedict and really enjoyed it. It was a large sized portion, so I was certainly not hungry at all after finishing it. Others at our table or the French Toast and they were hit as well. Stopped by for a Saturday brunch. Street parking was not difficult although it's off of Washington which is a fairly busy street. They were quick to seat us, we had no wait. The service was warm and friendly. I got a coffee (meh) and the salmon royale (scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, cream cheese, asparagus, olives over a bed of brown rice). My fiance got a chai latte and the crab royale. I was pretty satisfied with my meal, pretty filling with good amounts of salmon. I think the flavors worked well if you are into olives and smoked salmon. Coffee could have been better- seems like the cocktails are popular looking around. I just had my birthday lunch at 26 Beach using my birthday coupon that they sent me for a free burger and fries. I had the Black Sheep burger. It was absolutely delicious. The fries were perfection. I signed up for the birthday club a while back and forgot about it so I was surprised to see this coupon in my email. I recommend everybody sign up for the birthday club. You have to use the coupon for the free Black Sheep burger and french fries on the day of your birthday, but why wouldn't you! The burger was quite filling and had all the bells and whistles. It was savory delicious. The pickles were crisp. The onion was perfect. The lettuce was fresh and I was absolutely perfection. My friend ordered brussels sprouts which were also roasted to perfection. She almost ordered a second serving. They were so delicious. It breaks my heart to only give 26 Beach Cafe less than 5 stars because I have such great memories of it... but, sadly, those memories do not reflect the restaurant as it is now. They got rid of my favorite dish - the sunrise fruit salad. The rest of the food we've had is still delicious, just smaller and smaller portions every time we come. The thing that is consistently bad is the service. The last 3 times we've come we've had an issue - bring mischarged, waiting forever for our food, and the last time - which is why we won't ever come back again - our waitress never even put in our order and then disappeared. After waiting for close to an hour, we found someone else to help us. And then they weren't even going to comp anything. In contrast to a different restaurant where we got late, cold food and they were very apologetic and comped our whole meal (which was unexpected). read more

My first time here. The place is very nice and the decor is like from the 60s or earlier. The food is really good and the portions are big enough for the price. Employees are friendly and some of them speak Spanish. Close by the Venice shops and probably to the Venice Beach if you don't mind walking a bit. Hadn't been here in a minute. With the outdoor covered area and chance to imbibe in some bottomless mimosas, we thought brunch sounded like it would be chill here on a Sunday. It was. A bit too much. Service was slow. The vibe was so stale. And when our lemon ricotta french toast came out with a cook's hair... we were glad that at least we had gotten to divulge in some delish drinks and the Diablo Royal that came overs bed of brown rice. Yum! The waiter brought us another replacement plate so they can charge us but yah... it wasn't overall what we remembered it to be back in the day. Outdated furniture, Christmas tee and decorations still hanging around trying to get our attention that the new year hadn't begun yet. Our waiter was lovely, attentive and professional about the whole hair situation. She was clearly overworked though. All the stars go to her and her amazing attitude despite it all!! For my birthday brunch today, we stopped by for the first time at 26 Beach restaurant. It was a perfect spot to have a girly brunch with friends and we were pleasantly surprised with the quirky and fun aesthetic of both the patio and the interior of the restaurant. The menu is pretty vast and a lot of the items are driven to more of a comfort food vibe. But the wide selection there's something for everybody in our group lean more into the brunch items this time around... Call outs were the chicken wings, the French toast, and the salmon salad You look forward to coming back to trying more of the lunch and dinner entree since everything that we saw pass us by and deliver to other tables also look delicious.. which is a good sign and gives us something to look forward to. The only small feedback that I would give is perhaps given the amount of people that were in today, service was a little slow and we had to ask for some things repeatedly. The decor is adorable in this restaurant. There is free parking in the back but space is limited and the alley entrance is the narrowest I've seen. No SUVs allowed or scratch your car at your own risk. There was no wait at 5pm for dinner but it does get crowded here. The service is very welcoming. The staff do their best but it does get really busy here. All the food came out hot and a little wait but not very long. Our party all liked their food. My elderly father in law wears hearing aids and complained about the music coming from the speakers on the outdoor patio. I would say this restaurant is pretty loud so if you're looking for quiet dining this is not the place for you. It's very fun and festive. Great for a party or a good cheery meetup. read more

It was a rainy few days so the dining patio had been compromised and there was less seating as a result but that wasn't obvious when we arrived and the hostess wasn't forthcoming about why we weren't being seated.
