First time at this Zinque location after visiting others, and it did not disappoint. We had to quickly pivot for a group dinner of ten when our original spot fell through... called Zinque, they were happy to accommodate, and we were seated within minutes. Clutch! We sat outside on the patio, which is lovely. Fair warning: it IS outdoors. As in, nature-outdoors. A cricket made a cameo on the wall behind us. Totally fine, just good to know! The vibe is lively and buzzy, which is great, though a little noisy for a group of ten that actually wanted to catch up with each other. Service was so-so. Our server checked in occasionally, but when we actually wanted to order another round of drinks, he was nowhere to be found and had to do some significant amount of watching to find him and get his attention. One thing that worked really well: he took orders by seat, which made checkout shockingly painless. Scan the QR code at the table, select your seat, and all your items are right there. Splitting ten ways was easy. Note: if you're paying via Inkind, you can't split by seat but you can enter your specific amount. Food: * LeBowl: My order and I'm absolutely coming back for this. Grains, veggies, and a surprisingly generous portion of chicken on top. Hearty, fresh, and satisfying. * Hummus appetizer: We got two for the table. The menu says it comes with focaccia... the bread was oiled and toasted and delicious, but I wouldn't call it focaccia. No complaints though! * Wine: Picked one blind off the menu, enjoyed it. However, this time we experienced a longer wait--about 15-25 minutes--before anyone approached us to take our order. Zinque is right next door to the theatre and the best place to come in for a drink and dinner prior to a show. We ordered the side of fries, side salad, and roasted chicken. Oh my. Tender chicken, salad dressed perfectly, not downing. Their cocktails are refreshing. 4 cocktails, side of fries + roasted chicken was split between two people + a new friend at the bar with tons of leftovers. The portion is generous, and shareable. My first time at this location. I've always loved Zinqué for a quick lunch or dinner but hadn't been to the Venice one yet and it's honestly so good. The staff make it feel like home the second you walk in, like they're addressing you by name immediately. Special shoutout to Steven for the baklava latte and horjita latte... so delicious, not too sweet, just really flavorful. And Nick was so quick with my to-go order which I appreciated. I ordered my usual wagyu burger with the thin crispy fries and their aioli and it was as good as always. They also have a huge market section with a bunch of international goodies and sweets which I love browsing. The ambiance is kind of perfect. A really cool spot, with amazing ambiance, gorgeous modern design, awesome patio seating with an oversized contemporary fireplace and the food is pretty amazing. I've tried their burrata square pizza as well as the zucchini square pizza. Both were absolutely delicious. They were served heated up and were crunchy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. You could tell that both the burrata and the zucchini ingredients were very fresh and very tasty. As amazing as this place is, the service could use some improvement. At least a few times, including today, young ladies taking my order at the register, acted like they were doing me a favor, taking my order with a cold look. Cute place for brunch with the ladies with ok food and abrupt service. Compared to other brunch spots in the area, there's a great private parking lot in the back. Nice that there's plenty of free parking. The restaurant is pretty with lots of nice natural lighting. There's options for indoor and outdoor seating. We came on a Saturday at 11am and there was plenty of tables available. The 3 of us all ordered different lattes. We were surprised to see that 2 of the lattes came out hot and one was iced. That was interesting because we realize we were not asked if we wanted them hot or cold and the menu didn't specify. However, we each enjoyed the lattes we got. I had the mussels and fries dish. The muscles didn't have much flavor... just a sauce that's creamy. I would not recommend the muscles dish. The fries were cooked to perfection though. My friends enjoyed the crispy sunny eggs and the wagyu burger with fries. While we were chatting, the server came with the point of sale terminal machine and asked us to pay. It was quite abrupt because we had not asked for the bill and we were not show the itemized bill but just verbally told the total. While we paid by credit card, the server hovered and looked very closely to see what tip we'd select. When I went to the restroom, there was another staff member tailgating me because he wanted to use the restroom too. And as we walked out, a different server was also in a rush and accidentally brushed up against my while he walked by. The experience I had with multiple staff members wasn't friendly. read more

We visited for brunch on a damp, rainy weekday after ballet barre class. This is a really fun, relaxing space, with lots of tables, inside and outside, and lots of people with laptops doing some kind of remote work. I liked being able to order online, pay online using Apple Pay, and get it delivered to the table. My friend and I were able to easily order and pay for breakfast individually. You can also order items for there or to go from a cashier at the front of the restaurant, inside the little store. The food and coffee are great, but the portions are a bit small. My Americano coffee was served in a cup only about 80% full, and the salmon toast was small for the price ($19). Good for my diet, but I was still hungry when I left. My friend ordered a latte (full cup) and the Homemade Granola with Yogurt, Fruit Compote and Fresh Fruit, also a larger serving. (I have a dairy allergy, so I couldn't order the yogurt, which looked great). All in all, we had a nice time, and we will be back. The food was delicious. I'll give them that. But I left my lunch today feeling very unsatisfied both with the service and the experience. First, for lunch you have to order through an app and they deliver food to your table. The bus boy brought out an incorrect order and walked away so fast we didn't even get the chance to tell him it was wrong. I had to walk up to the front counter to see if they could help us correct it which normally wouldn't bother me except in this case when you use the app the automatic default is set to include a 23% tip. Seriously... it feels quite high considering a lack of service. Second, and my biggest issue was that what I ordered is not what I received. Clearly as you'll see by the photograph there appears to be 3-4 donuts for $13. We only received two. Naturally I inquired because there were three of us at the table and we all thought we would each get one. The manager came over and told me that they used to have three donuts and now they only have two per order. I thought that was strange so I asked him why they didn't update the photograph to reflect what people are actually going to receive. He said "because we want it to look good in the picture." False advertising on purpose... He then asked me if I wanted to purchase a second order of donuts to cover everyone at the table. You've got to be kidding me! read more

This place is a wonderful. The food is, for the most part, superb quality and mostly reasonably priced considering it's in Venice.. They make authentic French ham and cheese with butter on a baguette, the Salmon plate with wild rice and ratatouille and yogurt sauce is it never gets old. My one complaint is for some reason whenever I ordered the prosciutto, mozzarella and tomato sandwich (cold or panini style), literally 80+% of the time Postmates would deliver it without prosciutto. It kept happening so I stopped ordering it altogether. Couple more things: Ample free parking in back. You can dine inside or outside on the back patio - it's one of the larger dining spaces I've ever seen. They have a very nice store where you can get coffee, fresh gourmet deli items, as well as a store/shop that sells wine, clothing, kitchen/cooking items, and more. Came here for a friend's birthday dinner this week and absolutely loved it!! I had heard of Zinqué before and am glad to have discovered this location in Venice. I got there a bit early and was immediately greeted by the host who asked if I preferred to sit at at the bar or the reserved dinner table. While waiting for the rest of my party at the outdoor dinner table, the staff checked in a few times. It was nice to have the outdoor heaters as it can get chilly there in the evenings. Loved both the indoor and outdoor decor/ambiance (there's also a fireplace outside). That night, I ordered a medium rare Steak (with peppercorn sauce) - Frites which is a classic dish from back home in France. It was perfectly cooked. Delicious. A friend and I ordered the La Française cocktail (vodka, St Germain, passionfruit & lime) and we both enjoyed our drinks. The menu is extensive and offers various options at a reasonable price (not easy to find for a French restaurant in the greater LA area!). Plenty of parking in the lot. This place is so cute inside and perfect for breakfast or just a nice cup of coffee. The ambiance is immediately calming once you walk in. I ordered the baklava latte and it was absolutely perfect! I was at first intimidated by all the flavors inside listed, but it is perfectly balanced and not too sweet. I really enjoyed my pesto, pepper, Prosciutto, sandwich. I cannot speak for the food as the server we had was so rude we were forced to leave. She left us sitting unattended for at least 10-15 minutes on a non busy Monday evening. When she finally came to our table, the look she presented us with complete disdain. There were dishes on the table from diners who had left. Not appetizing. We sat down and the table rocked so badly, we moved to high stools outside. The stool was not particularly comfortable, and there was no umbrella for the sun. The seating and ambiance was okay if not minimal. There is no service. You order online after scanning a QR code, and wait. There were a couple of staff running around bringing out orders, but trying to get some water was an ordeal. Not only did it come out with poor presentation, it also tasted like bitter milk. There was barely any matcha. I've been to this location a couple of times and also their weho and century city locations. All have great food and usually a good vibe. This location probably is the nicest and largest of those. Definitely a cool vibe and good crowd for a Friday night. They have a mix of different food options so there's something for everyone. I usually get their Le Bowl and add ahi tuna. Their parking is easy - big open lot in front of the restaurant. I took off one star because our server (blonde, Hispanic, shorter woman) was pretty bad. It seemed like she was stressed and scattered and it was difficult to get her attention. We sat inside you order everything via the QR code so there really isn't much interaction when it comes to the staff etc. we ordered 2 lattes and a smoked salmon toast and breakfast bagel The smoked salmon toast was better than the breakfast bagel but neither was anything special. The portions are on the smaller side. It was fine for what it was but nothing to really write home about. I would say it was average across the board. read more
