Tried Hatchet Hall for Sunday brunch, and it was so pleasant. They have a gorgeous antique style interior, amazing service and super friendly staff. It was my friend's bday and they also brought us two glasses of champagne on the house. The Chilaquiles was so yummy and well made, i definitely recommend everyone to try it.

04-2026 I've been to Hatchet Hall before and had great experiences, but unfortunately, this most recent visit felt like a step back. While the flavors were there, the service and pacing left our party of three feeling like an afterthought. The Service: We were seated promptly for our reservation, but then the experience hit a snag. We sat for quite a while without anyone greeting us, even as I watched other waiters warmly welcoming tables nearby. I eventually had to flag down a busser just to get someone to come over. When our server did arrive, her attitude felt rushed and a bit off. While she warmed up as the evening progressed, the initial cold start definitely rubbed me the wrong way. The Food: The menu still has its highlights. The cornbread is always a hit, and we enjoyed the butter lettuce wedge, market greens, and grilled mushrooms. For sides, we had the mashed potatoes and fries, eventually finishing with the apple crumble, which were all solid. However, the kitchen pacing was completely non-uniform. My party's dishes came out well ahead of mine, and the dry-aged ribeye arrived last, after a noticeably long wait. It's hard to enjoy a group dinner when the main course arrives after the sides have already been sitting there. Final Thoughts: I still tipped 25% because I know it's a team effort, but this wasn't the same high-level experience I've had here in the past. The food is still good, but between the service gap and the awkward timing of the ribeye, I'm not sure how I feel about coming back.

Wow! This place seems to be known for their cornbread and I understand why. It's served warm, fresh, and perfectly salted. Came for their brunch which we thoroughly enjoyed! Highly recommend the short rib hash. Beautiful space and friendly service. Metered street parking was easy.

Make sure you wear your stretchy pants when you come eat here! The biscuits are delicious but very filling. Our waitress was nice enough to bring us a vase with water to put my flowers in that my fried gotten me so they wouldn't die. The food, service and drinks are great. Looking forward to coming back in the future.

I've been wanting to try hatchet hall for quite some time. First thing we ordered was the cornbread since it took longer to cook. We ordered the crudo, ribeye, French fries, and Brussels sprouts. I think the cornbread, crudo, and ribeye were my favs. Surprisingly not the biggest fan of the fries or Brussels sprouts which was disappointing. The cornbread was spectacular 10/10 would order again. It was butter and mouse but also on the savory side. The crudo was also delicious super fresh and light. The steak I give it an 7/10 because it was flavorful but fatty and thin. Now onto the not so great dishes of the night. The Brussels sprouts were kinda soggy and one note. I didnt really taste the honey was a lot of balsamic vinaigrette flavor. And the fries not much to write home about. Overall I would def come back to try their brunch menu and to get the corn bread. The restaurant is cute and actually surprisingly big.

I have been eyeballing this place for a long time and I finally made it for dinner! The southern decor with dim lights makes a perfect ambiance. I highly recommend making reservations. I was surprised to see how packed it was for a Wednesday night (7ish). Our waitress, Ashley, was very attentive and pleasant. She made some good recommendations from the menu as well. Once we ordered, the food came out fast ....hit... fresh. I was not disappointed by any of the dishes although I have sine favorites. A must try: Ribeye (so flavorful), loaded potato gnocchi and the Hamachi crudo. Most people will highly recommend the cornbread, it wasn't bad but it also wasn't my favorite. The branzino was just ok as well. But overall the food was good. They have plenty of options for seating....in door, at the bar or the covered outdoor patio area with heat lamps if needed. There is street parking (can be packed) and there is valet parking for $17. If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try!

Make reservations as it's extremely busy on weekday/weekend nights! Blown away by the atmosphere, interior, and decor as soon as you step inside - feels like a modern Southern home, yet not too casual. Love that there was no unbearably loud music, you can have comfortable convo for a date night. I wish I could give 5 stars as the experience was amazing - however, the food was disappointing. The branzino was just average, lacking in flavor and a bit burnt (67$). The pork (54$) was raved about but was nothing special either, albeit better than the branzino. The cornbread was incredible flavor wise but a bit mushy/lacking structure, although everything else about it is amazing (21$). For dessert, the sticky toffee cake was not too sweet and is better than most i've had, although I wish it were topped with vanilla ice cream instead of whipped cream. Overall, the atmosphere itself makes it worth trying, and i'd come back if I had friends visiting LA!

We had a solid experience at Hatchet Hall! I'm a big fan of their sister restaurant, Dunsmoor, but lately it has been quite difficult to book. We were planning to be near the area of Hatchet Hall and decided to finally make a reservation for dinner. We were seated in their middle patio, the area between the inside seating and outdoor seating. It was private but it did get quite dark quickly. I got a cocktail ("eastern medicine" with mezcal) and my husband got a glass of wine. The cocktail was solid, not very strong, but enjoyable. For food, we ordered the cornbread, hamachi crudo, fried green tomatoes, and citrus salad for our starters. For our main we ordered the pork chop. The starters came out extremely quickly, and I enjoyed them all. The cornbread is quite similar to the version at Dunsmoor, though that version comes in a cast iron skillet which does seem to make the crust of the cornbread a bit thicker, but it's otherwise pretty much the same. A must-order. The fried green tomatoes had a great texture and the hamachi crudo was fresh and balanced. The citrus salad was light and enjoyable. The pork chop was coursed out a bit later. I'm typically not a huge fan of pork chop but I was open to giving theirs a try. I thought it was solid but I wouldn't get it again. For dessert, the options all looked quite tempting. We opted for 2 desserts - a strawberry shortcake biscuit and their chocolate chip cookies. The biscuit wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. It had fresh strawberry jam and whipped cream, but as a whole it mostly felt heavy and wasn't really doing it for me. The cookies on the other hand were quite good. I'm always on the hunt for a fantastic chocolate chip cookie, and their version checked that box. It came with 2 large cookies so we took one home to enjoy another day. Overall, a cute and vibey spot with good service and food. I might return for brunch someday if in the area but I wouldn't make a special trip to visit again. Worth trying!

Stopped by for brunch with a friend on a Sunday morning; it was easy to get a table! Everything was delicious, we shared a cornbread, short rib hash, and pork belly. Perfect vibey atmosphere and service was great. There's a parking lot but also street parking. Will definitely come back!

Came in with high expectations and was disappointed. They had a couple highlights but I lost my urge to take pictures after tasting a few of the things we ordered. The shishito cornbread was sooo darn good, oysters, ricotta toast and the branzino were also a highlight. We felt tricked into ordering so many things. In total we had 13 plates with 3 cocktails. Our waitress (who was hard to understand) was telling us that each plate except the main course plates were shareable portions for 3-4 people. No waaaay. Some had 4 pieces of food on it but they def were not shareable if we ordered so much. Our friend even asked "is this enough" and she said "I think so, you have kids here too" (6 and 2 year old). No way they were gonna eat a good portion. I followed up asking "is this too much?" To which it was ignored. Plates were "thrown" on the table instead of being placed. Just fyi to families with picky eaters, not much for them to eat here. The place was cute and had a cute party room for big groups but overall our experience was mediocre for a place with high expectations.

Wonderful food! Staff could be a little more attentive! The ambiance is a little noisy. My husband loved the food and we will go again. Parking is a challenge.

Loved this place. The ambiance was terrific, the customer service was wonderful and the food was yummy. The cornbread is awesome. You have to try this place. There is street parking and a lot available until 5PM after in which turns into valet parking. Can't wait to go again.

The ambiance in this restaurant is superb. You feel at home and yet the experience is elevated. The service was fine, though our sever forgot our cornbread and we had to ask for it once we had finished our entrees. Let's talk food. The cornbread, despite being so very late to arrive, was scrumptious. The peppers gave it a little kick which elevated the bread. The butter on top was heaven. The steak and eggs was perfectly cooked. The rub on the steak was not overwhelming as things with coffee tend to be. The shrimp and grits was just ok. The flavor was bland and the texture of the grits was odd. I would but order again. The cocktails were refreshing and well balanced. FYI there's a parking lot but it fills up quick. You will most likely have to find street parking which is not difficult.

Pork chop, super fatty so I wouldn't get it again but added their pepper jelly.

The location has a spacious area filled with a variety of wine options. I picked a Bourgogne Chardonnay from France ($36). We came on a late Monday afternoon and, lucky for us, they have a bar special on Mondays: No corkage fee! They also have Happy Hour-- Monday to Friday from 3-6pm. The Chardonnay was divine! I would totally return and purchase another bottle. We also ordered a charcuterie board and took advantage of their happy hour special for $20 (pick two-- one cheese and one meat). We opted for the 'Humboldt Fog' Chèvre as our cheese option and the Bresaola for our meat option. Both were delicious, but the chèvre was truly exquisite. We shared one charcuterie board with five people and it was enough; however if you're on the hungry side, I suggest two charcuterie boards for five or six people. In addition to meat and cheese, it comes with crackers, some pickled veggies, onion jam, candied nuts, whole grain Dijon, and apple slices. On the left side of the venue you have your variety of wine options; on the right side, there's the bar and some tables, plus a small area with other snacks for purchase that pair nicely with wine or beer. They even sell the Torres truffle chips! My only complaint is the service, unfortunately. The lady at the cashier was super friendly, however the bar tender was not so welcoming. When he came over to our table to open our wine bottle, he didn't greet us, smile, or say anything. He took our bottle and opened it and then asked who was going to taste. Not sure if he thought we didn't speak English since we were speaking another language when he came to our table, but overall, we all noticed his attitude and thought it was rather unwelcoming. Because of this experience, I rate this place a 4/5, however, everything else was great!

The salad was tossed in a delicious vinaigrette with walnuts and cheese. The baked brie was great served in toasty bread and shaved truffle on it. The truffle made the brie super flavorful. My kiddos got the gelato, which was good - not the best gelato ever, but still hit the spot! Love that it came in the metal cups to keep it cold. I'll have to try it next time :). We will be back. Hands down.

I finally made my way to Triangle Wines and honestly... this place is such a low-key gem in the…read moreneighborhood. The space is small but thoughtfully curated -- part boutique wine shop, part cozy tasting room. You can tell they really put intention behind their selection, with wines from all over (and even some organic/vegan-friendly options if that's your thing). I love that you can grab a glass, do a flight, or just browse and take a bottle home. The rotating wine list keeps things interesting, so it doesn't feel like the same experience every time. The vibe is super relaxed and unpretentious -- definitely the kind of place where you can show up whether you know your wines or just want to sip something cute and call it a day. Bonus points for being able to bring in food from nearby spots since they keep it simple with snacks. Overall, it's giving neighborhood favorite energy. Perfect for a casual date, catch-up with friends, or a solo "I deserve a glass of wine" moment.

I went thru the back door. It's a small boutique wine shop. The restroom is clean and to your right as soon as you enter. A water station to your left. They have several tables and a bar to sit at. Pictures on the wall complimenting the vibe. Everything was clean. The shop is beautiful in its own way. The music wasn't loud, it was just right. It's definitely a welcoming atmosphere. I let the host know that I was there for the wine tasting and he immediately set me up with a menu and a table. I decided on the "shareable flights". I then chose 2 white and 2 red wines. Didn't have a preference so I went with his recommendations or suggestions and allowed him to choose lol. The individuals who were there last night were mostly locals. Had the pleasure of meeting an older couple (Erin and Conrad Stanley) in which I ended up giving my last flight to them while we had an awesome conversation lol. Everyone was friendly and real cool. Not making me feel out of place nor uncomfortable. I also met another couple after they left. I went to the restroom, came back and a couple was standing near my table. So into his conversation, dude sat down then apologized for sitting at my table and I told him it's all good haha. Next thing you know we're all laughing and conversing haha. I really enjoyed my 3 hrs here. I had a great experience. Took a cross word puzzle for my entertainment and ended up meeting some new wonderful people instead. I will definitely be back. No food but you can order from "Olive It" which is next door. I'm bringing my charcuterie board next time tho. They make you feel like you're at home. The service was hospitable. I also had the pleasure of seeing the owners and interacting with the wife as she cleaned the tables and made her rounds checking up on all of the guests. The husband was doing his part also, entertaining at the bar lol and providing whatever services needed. I love it... They do their best to provide professional and friendly service. I have no complaints whatsoever. I was even told they allow dogs. Big win !!! lol
