My review is actually for "the petit Juliet' matcha & cofee: This place is absolutely divine! I fell in love with the ambiance, the music, the energy emanating from the restaurant. I randomly stumbled upon this place after leaving Tia Health right next door. I got their cinnamon (le cannelle) coffee and I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back for it again.

Went to Juliet with my fiance recently and it was magnifique! Upon entering, you will notice that this restaurtant has a unique french flare according to my fiance due to its open glass doors and the decor. All the foods we ordered were amazing! I highly recommend the duck cigars and their madeleines. While Culver City is difficult to park in, I would recommend parking in the business neighborhood around the corner.

Had a lovely brunch here with one of my best friends for her birthday. The service was amazing even offered to take a picture of us at the end of we liked (& did not disappoint) haha. The ambiance of this restaurant is beautiful. From the entrance to the bar to the bathroom there is something so stunning to look at in every corner. The details are just chefs kiss. Now even though we could hardly pronounce the items on the menu because it was in French, I am only speaking on the crepes because that is what we had ordered for brunch, they were delicious very sweet but the perfect portion. The drinks were also DELICIOUS. A must try with the girls. Would love to come back and try their dinner menu.

Came to Juliet for my love and mine's anniversary. Dinner was spectacular! We have considered coming in to eat on multiple occasions but have shied away from Juliet's smaller menu too many times. Boy, was that a mistake. I am so glad we finally dined here because everything we experienced far surpassed my expectations. Our server Amy was an absolute gem; she was warm, knowledgeable of the menu, and guided our experience with poise and elegance. Our hostess was sweet and welcoming, wishing us a happy anniversary as well which we appreciated. The drinks and food were incredible! Literally everything we had was divine. We loved the oysters, Poisson cru, squash risotto, chicken, and steak au poivre. The mousse dessert was rich and hit the spot perfectly as a finisher. Their Kitchen throws down!! The Bordeaux by the glass wine paired well with the entrees and the mon courer and le sage cocktails were delish. We both were so pleasantly surprised with how amazing everything was. Would highly recommend dining here for an epic meal and fun night out. Thanks Juliet for the amazing experience and great hospitality!

I really did not like the food. I cake for breakfast and got the crepe suzette... it was nothing like how they prepare it in paris. Honestly I was really looking forward to trying this place especially with the michelin award but the crepe was so gummy it weirded me out and it was sticky.. Then I got the tomato toaste which would have been fine if it wasn't burnt. I felt like I wasted my money. Lastly had a raspberry matcha which is liked, but it wasn't special. It was like any other LA matcha. Forgettable. However the service was decent and ofc beautiful ambiance.

A trendy French restaurant with beautiful food, that's just okay tasting. The scallops and the endives were the best parts of the meal, everything else was not worth it. Their desserts are definitely better than the food. The service and ambiance are excellent, but overall I can't say their prices match the quality of food. Chicken liver tartlet - 2/5, the flavor is not bad, but I've had better liver mousses. The white, buttery crumbles are not the best topping, they were messy and not appealing to look at. Endives - 4/5, I really enjoyed the endives. The peppery mustard seeds dressing went really well with the blue cheese. Duck cigars - 1/5, very disappointing. They were freshly deep fried, but lacking in any kind of duck flavor. Scallops - 5/5, seared to perfection and so decadent in a buttery sauce topped with lots of chives and trout roe Risotto - 3/5, had a lot of potential. The mushrooms on top were grilled well, but overall it was just super salty so I couldn't eat very much of it. Madelines - 5/5, WOW these brown butter madelines were fresh and so soft Eclairs - 4/5, the chocolate sea salt is super rich and the yuzu poppy is so light and refreshing!

I don't know how anyone could rate this place poorly--it's amazing! I had such a wonderful dinner here and am excited to come back. It's a nice place and our server was very friendly. We started off with delicious mocktails and went on to the whipped cod dip appetizer. we also had the chicken liver tart which was one of the best bites of the evening, the duck cigars, the mushroom risotto, and finally the madeleines. can't wait to come back!

Amazing steak and duck fat potatoes

I had the pleasure of a return visit after two previous meals here while traveling to LA. Juliet is becoming a must for every time I'm in town. Onto the dishes that are still on the menu: Poisson Cru: 5/5 My favorite crudo of all time. The serrano oil and meyer lemon is an incredible combo. I wish I could eat this every day. I ordered this twice my first visit. I pray they never take this off the menu. Oysters: 5/5 Do oysters need roe? No, but so well balanced with the cucumber. I prefer this dressing over classic mignonette. Tarama: 5/5 A fantastic starter with bright, crisp radishes to pair with the rich cod dip. The dill oil is brilliant. The salty toast rounds it all out. Chicken Liver Tart: 3.5/5 This was so well executed, but as I keep trying, I'm not a fan of liver. So rich and buttery from the liver filling to the cheese. If that's up your alley, you should definitely order this. Poulet Roti: 5/5 If you're looking for a hearty entree, this is it. An unbelievably juicy half chicken with an umami mushroom sauce and bread that's soaked up all the flavors on the plate. Shockingly flavorful for chicken. Steak au Poivre: 5/5 Cooked to perfection. Fits my preference for a leaner cut and paired with a peppercorn sauce I asked for on the side. Served with fancy yet comforting duck fat mashed potatoes. Chocolate Mousse: 4.5/5 A nice sweet taste to end an amazing meal. Not cloyingly sweet or heavy. The crunch pearls give a good texture contrast. Wine: 5/5 A wine list for all tastes. N/A Drinks: 4/5 I always appreciate the inclusion of N/A options and any restaurant with a bar should, but I didn't love the N/A beer they had. Hoping they add more options. As others have noted, the restaurant is stunning. Beautiful in every detail, especially the fresh white tulip at each table. The service is always great and what I appreciate most is their equal treatment of all customers. It's easy for restaurants of this caliber (and price) to be extremely snooty and judgemental, but the staff is consistently friendly and helpful. This alone makes Juliet a top pick and recommendation to all friends. I saw Juliet made it onto the Michelin guide and it's so deserved. The execution in the kitchen is impeccable and I'm lucky to say extremely consistent. Everything is perfectly cooked, seasoned, and plated on time. I've never had a dish arrive cold, overly salted, or sloppily plated. My only wish is that the poisson cru was always portioned the same to 8-9 pieces. The mouth feel on the thicker cuts (6 piece serving) is great, but thinner slices allow for more sauce. Juliet is well on their way to a Michelin star and I hope more people discover this gem. This place deserves a line around the block every night.

There's valet parking or parking along the street if you're lucky to snag one. I came here for brunch with friends and surprisingly, there weren't many people dining in. The venue is GORGEOUS, the bathrooms were clean, and I loved the open air aspect of the restaurant. Service was super duper, our server was very friendly and helpful. She explained and answered all of our questions that we had. I gotta say, they had a great Americano, I had two. I ordered the croque madam and it was super filling. The egg on top just made it so good, it was cooked perfectly. I love the cheeses and the diced up ham inside too, this is considering that I am not much of a fan of ham but this tasted amazing. We had a table order of the Assiette de Saumon but I didn't even get to try it because I was already full. We didn't even have room for dessert, what a shame. They also had a deal on the InKind app for $50 off with I think $200 purchase? So we took the opportunity to use that as well. I mean who doesn't like a great deal, especially in this economy.

Cute restaurant with warm ambiance by the Platform in Culver City! Indoor and outdoor seating available. The Mousse au Foie de Volaille (chicken liver tartlet) is sooooo delicious. It's unfortunate it's so small so that we have less to enjoy. It melts in your mouth and it's unique. I enjoyed the Salade d'Endives, Salade Classique, and Tarama, but the chicken liver tartlet outshines the all. For entree, I got the Daurade Royale (wild sea bream) which was a decent serving size, but not as much flavor as I expected. Once I mixed the fish with everything on the plate, the dish tasted better, but I would probably try another dish next time! I'll be back! Friendly and patient service!

We just returned and had many of the same dishes but this time i ordered the lamb chops- so delicious!!! My mom had the same and loved it and the endive salad. Oysters were delicious too!!!

Came here for dinner with a friend. Food was okay. The best thing was probably the dessert! We got the madeline and eclair for dessert and both were excellent. The liver tartlet was tasty, though there was a lot going on in a bite with all the crunchy toppings. The risotto was flavorful and creamy. The duck cigar was a disappointment despite being their house special. The flavors were very subtle, perhaps too subtle that it just tasted bland overall. Even the sauce was not able to save it. We also made the interesting observation that the portions for the dessert seemed disproportionate compared to the starters and entrees. Service was excellent and we didn't feel rushed.

The location has a spacious area filled with a variety of wine options. I picked a Bourgogne Chardonnay from France ($36). We came on a late Monday afternoon and, lucky for us, they have a bar special on Mondays: No corkage fee! They also have Happy Hour-- Monday to Friday from 3-6pm. The Chardonnay was divine! I would totally return and purchase another bottle. We also ordered a charcuterie board and took advantage of their happy hour special for $20 (pick two-- one cheese and one meat). We opted for the 'Humboldt Fog' Chèvre as our cheese option and the Bresaola for our meat option. Both were delicious, but the chèvre was truly exquisite. We shared one charcuterie board with five people and it was enough; however if you're on the hungry side, I suggest two charcuterie boards for five or six people. In addition to meat and cheese, it comes with crackers, some pickled veggies, onion jam, candied nuts, whole grain Dijon, and apple slices. On the left side of the venue you have your variety of wine options; on the right side, there's the bar and some tables, plus a small area with other snacks for purchase that pair nicely with wine or beer. They even sell the Torres truffle chips! My only complaint is the service, unfortunately. The lady at the cashier was super friendly, however the bar tender was not so welcoming. When he came over to our table to open our wine bottle, he didn't greet us, smile, or say anything. He took our bottle and opened it and then asked who was going to taste. Not sure if he thought we didn't speak English since we were speaking another language when he came to our table, but overall, we all noticed his attitude and thought it was rather unwelcoming. Because of this experience, I rate this place a 4/5, however, everything else was great!

I've enjoyed a wide range of wines from an orange one day, a pinot next, a buttery Chardonnay or a spicy Syrah. Every time I'm there it's a fun experiment. :) If you're a lightweight like me, I'd suggest eating a meal beforehand because the menu is pretty light. The place itself is very modern and nice. Overall the vibe it basically a Houston's-type place. And service was good. All of the food overall was very good. Nothing really too crazy. To me, the menu is a little... boring. But, I will say everything was tasty. We got the Cajun shrimp salad (which was simple and clean but tasty), a cheese pizza for the kids (which was good!), a brisket French dip (very tasty and a horseradish sauce with a LOT of bite), a vodka pasta (was good but it actually is TOO big a portion to eat by one's self), the Ahi Tuna frites (the tuna was good and served with a nice green sauce), and the grilled cabbage side (with brown butter and some pomegranate molasses--it was actually my favorite thing!). The key distinctive thing about Laurel Grill seems to be that a lot of things get cooked by that fire which really adds a nice smoky touch (like the shrimp and the ahi tuna and the cabbage). My only major complaint would be the fries were just okay. After a minute or two they weren't crispy anymore. As good as everything else was, I thought they would step things up with the fries but they were just average. Anyways, while I overall am not that excited by the menu, it definitely is a great place to go where everybody will be able to find something tasty to eat. And overall, the portions were pretty fair.

Well, Dine LA is happening and what better way than to try places you've been eyeing. I've heard good things about this place from friends that's been numerous of times and each visit was always amazing. Of course as it's part of Dine LA, it was a given to come and try this place for the first time. We had a reservation on a Friday night which was the start of Dine LA and let me say, this place was packed. Every single tables inside and out was utilized. They've made a name for themselves if it was that lively. Good on their part. It wasn't a long wait till our table was ready. We got seated on the patio side just along the street. Covered canopy with both hi top tables and standard tables. Positive side, there were loads of heat lamps as well as heated fireplaces separating pretty much all the tables. Gotta keep everyone warm during our LA winter. Inside is quite small compared to the seating outdoor with only a few tables. As Dine LA was happening, they offered a three course meal for 45.00 per person. If you weren't interested in that, their regular menu does offer loads of amazing dishes as well. We started off a bottle of their French Pinot which was quite nice. Not too strong and very smooth. Nice pair for dinner. Service was excellent and was taken good care by our waitress which I didn't get her name. She was great and very friendly. We each went with one of the starters. The French onion soup was perfect. The broth with the melted cheese, it was amazing. The flavors of everything paired together were perfect. Tuna tartare was great. The seasoning with the glaze and chips to paired with was great. Also fish was perfect and fresh. Lastly the escargot. If this doesn't scream French, I didn't know what does. I've had it at other restaurants and I can say this was amazing. The garlic sauce was perfect. Snails had a nice taste to it and quite tasty. Not tough at all. Everything was excellent. Mains, the boeuf Bourguignon was tasty. Nice chunks of beef with a nice thick sauce and pared with mashed potatoes. Sauce was excellent and not too strong. And the mussels, which was a hefty portion. The sauce which was like a lobster bisque was excellent. I'm use to a wine broth but the bisque was amazing. Nice meaty mussels cooked perfectly. We had to order a side of baguette for the bisque. Dessert, the profiteroles which I highly recommend. Two amazing pieces of puffed pastries filled with vanilla ice cream and topped with chocolate sauce. Mouthwatering at its best. And lastly the apple tarte, the right amount of sweetness and baked to perfection also served with ice cream. I can say that my first time here was amazing. The service, the food and everything was amazing. Not only dinner, they're also offering Dine LA for lunch. Regardless, it's going to be a priority to come back for another meal. The full menu looked amazing. Food was delicious and everyone left full and satisfied. Oh, there's some street parking if you could find them but loads of parking structures nearby.

Food: 3/4 Service: 4/5…read moreAmbiance: 4/5 I was craving for French food and found this restaurant and wanted to try it out. It was also Dine LA week so they had some fixed menu also. I was easy street parking across the street and the restaurant has nice indoor and outdoor seating. For starter I ordered crab cakes and mussels with truffles & mushrooms. From dine LA menu, I ordered escargot cooked with garlic and parsley butter, I wish they just cook with traditional way, I did not like that taste of parsley in it. Boeuf Bourguignon was the main entree and I had a high hope for it since I really miss eating it. When it arrived the portion was small. It tasted no where close to authentic. I was really disappointed. Crème Brûlée was acceptable. It could be a nice hang out spot with friends for happy hour and live music but do not expect authentic French food.
