I almost gave up trying to find food this night during a rough drive. They had great pizza here I suggest getting the large pizza for 2 people. We were so hungry we dove in before taking a photo. The pizza was great.

It has probably been 15 years since I've eaten at Ugo. A coworker and I went to lunch and it is one of his favorite places to eat in the area. I can see why he comes back. The service that he receives is very good. The staff acknowledges him for coming back and are very attentive to his needs. It's a great indoor outdoor space for good weather lunches like today. We started with the bruschetta. It was nicely done but lacked some punch from the vinegar drizzle. I loved the lightly toasted bread. Usually the breads are too crunchy but this was light. We also had the spinach salad with nuts and apple slices that was nicely done and a good start to the meal. My friend had the Don Tomasino pasta w/ added mushrooms. It's his staple, he loved it. I had the ORECCHIETTE SAUSAGE & PEPPERS. It was good and I loved the spinach in the dish. I would like to have requested a spicy Italian sausage instead of the standard sausage. Next time maybe. All in all it was a good lunch stop.

Authentic and aromatic Italian food for satisfying the need for a delicious experience found here! We ordered the lasagna and the seafood pasta. Our tasty appetizer was so filling. The Panzerotti was heavenly! The lasagna was super rich and I felt like I was back in Italy! Every bite was super yummy. My husband enjoyed the pasta though he felt the olive oil and garlic sauce was a bit too light for the density of the pasta However we both felt the flavor was on point. The lady serving us was friendly and attentive. We will be back.

My friend and I visited Ugo for brunch/lunch this past holiday weekend. We walked in and it was quiet which we loved given the hecticness of culver on the weekend. our server, Hannah, was just so sweet, attentive, and efficient in her care for us. she recommended great dishes, brought out condiments, and continued to check in on us. the one thing i would have changed, that doesnt affect my rating, is that in the farmers skillet if there could be less mushroom, there was just so much it overpowered the other veggies. 10/10 would return and ask to be seated in her section

I visited Ugo's for lunch, and the service was great! The waiter was very attentive and ready to bring us what we needed in a timely manner. The menu has a lot of great options, but I really enjoyed having a separate lunch menu with smaller portions. I ended up ordering a chicken Caesar salad from the regular menu, but I can't wait to go back to try some of the lunch options. The lettuce in the Caesar salad was very fresh and had a nice crunch. The croutons also had a nice crunch and a great flavor that made each bite of crouton a nice little treat. They have outdoor seating that was great for a nice summery day like today. The flowers from the trees did tend to fall on us once in a while we were eating, but I don't fault the restaurant for that. It was worth it for the nice outdoor dining.

Date night restaurant with all the classic pasta and pizza dishes. It's an elevated vibe with outdoor seating. We got the pasta and pizza, and the pasta was standard - something I could definitely make at home. The pizza seemed napolitan style with thin crust. The waiter was kind

I visited for the happy hour which includes 50% off drinks. It is only available in the back at the bar. A cute area with nice decor accents and a TV in the corner. I ordered a cucumber and ginger gintini (martini with gin). It was deliciousss. I later ordered the portobello fries and they were good as well.

Well rounded Italian restaurant! Great pizza, pasta and appetizer selections. The pasta al forno was so good - loved the sauce with bolognese, ham and peas. Their pizza dough is soft and perfectly chewy. Initially thought $16 for the arancini was a bit much for two pieces but they are fairly large with a great filling.

I've eaten here a few times a whole ago and was excited to come back with my daughter. There were 4 of us and three ordered lasagna and I got the minestrone soup and the salad La mamma. We also got bread for the table. Service was extremely slow and after 45 minutes we had to ask if it was coming or not. The bread was weird. They polished the lasagna. The soup was watery and lacked flavor. Thankfully the waiter asked if I wanted pepper or cheese because that was the flavor, the salad also lacked flavor. I ate half and asked for a box to take the rest home so I could doctor it at home. Waiter never came to ask if we wanted dessert. The exterior was dirty including the tarps above the tables which were filthy and I could only imagine stuff blowing off into the food below. This place is not cheap either. Ugo. What happened?

Ugo is one of the pasta places in culver city that I usually pass by and unable to go in but this time I decided to go in and check it out. The café has broad appeal with casual and cute vibes, the outdoor with lights at night takes you into a small town movie set, fair pricing, and standout desserts, while the adjoining wine bar adds a novel, social touch. The service is great! I got the pink sauce pasta paired with fried calamari and the rib eye steak that was cooked to perfection. I really enjoy this restaurant with such a relaxing vibe and calm atmosphere

Got together with a group of friends here. The service and food were good. Everyone shared and enjoyed what we all had. We were so hungry I didn't get much of a chance to get food photos except one where we had already dipped in! It's a good place for a group. They have a very nice outdoor patio as well.

Unfortunately, I think the vibe is completely off with this type of food, and I think it's hurting their customer base (I.e, there's a sports watching day, and live DJ?, but the food is definitely more for upscale vibes). I also didn't know they have a rotating menu with different chefs, so when I came in craving for something like steak frites and find out the don't have it even though their sample menu lists it on their website, it kind of throws my mood a little. Moreover, their wine list is not extensive considering it's a wine bar, and wine mentioned in their name :) Anyways I've digressed. With this special menu, I ordered the scallop tostada and maitake taco. The scallops were very fresh, and it was a very well balanced dish. I would totally order this again! The maitake mushroom was exploding with flavors, though I find the sauce a little too salty for my taste. If I came here just for food, I'd come back and try new things!

So I was excited to make a reservation during his residency! The menu is streamlined, which is great. I would say that the menu has influences from different cultures, both eastern and western, but with the backbone of Thai cuisine. Everything we ordered was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We ordered: -Shrimp cigars -Oyster (and scallop) Cardinale -Salmon tartare -Steak frites -Pork toro panang (with some roti on the side to sop up the sauce) -Calpico ice cream (with fig jam and crispy rice) And of course plenty of delicious wine! I was also able to play some of my old French records on their record player on the later side with was fun! On a side note: also came here in the morning during a previous visit and had the biscuits and gravy, which were also very awesome. Enjoyed that meal with a nice cup of coffee while watching some sports.

Now, the place is super small with weird seating. I like the dark vibe it has going though. The most frustrating part of it all? Servers came off super pretentious and would intentionally walk by your table without looking to avoid you asking them anything. Moreover, the place doesn't let you make many changes to your order. For example, if you ask for easy rice on the sushi, they will say no. If you ask for them to put the avocado on the side due to an allergy of one member of the group, they will say no. Our items came out SUPER slow, and this was after waiting a while for a table. The sushi is subpar - heavy on the rice and not enough fish. However, the coconut shrimp roll was good. That all being said, I'd go back and deal with it all again for the chicken sandwich and the burger. Both were a bit heavy on the bread in comparison to the protein, but delicious nonetheless.

The decor blends spartan industrial chic with dark wood accents that tempter what might be a cold environment, making it inviting and comfortable. Our server, Diego, got right to us, answered menu questions with good humor, and convinced the chef to make my wife a dinner-time dish when he discovered her first selection had run out. Bread service (on request) was artisan sourdough, hot from the oven, served with rich butter and a tiny mound of salt. Simple and very tasty. My wife's Cacio e Pepe was, by her estimation, the very best she's ever had. The al dente pasta was coated in a sharp Parmesan that was keenly offset by the sweetness of a Tomato Jam served on the side. A very well-balanced and satisfying bite. For my own part, the Quiche Lorraine was buttery and rich, and brimming with bacon and cheese. The lightly dressed salad alongside was a perfect foil, cutting the sharpness nicely. I must also mention that the folks next to us had a table full of yummy-looking, yummy-smelling food, from a cheese and charcuterie board to pizza, an omelet and beautifully prepared veggies. I emailed the bar to make a reservation since the online system was down, and they emailed back immediately to confirm -- and even said they would surprise my mom with an extra birthday cake! From the moment we stepped through the door, the experience was a 1 million out of 10. Every course is unbelievable. This is a caviar tasting in the best way -- all nine courses are topped with generous helpings of delicious N25 caviar. You get sweet, salty, savory, comfort food, upscale dining, everything comes together in the absolute best way. I especially loved the deconstructed deviled egg and the lobster roll, and the ice cream was some of the best I've ever had. The chips and dip came with the cutest miniature potato chips (although I'll admit I could have used a few more), and the caviar salmon burger was super flavorful. And, true to their word, they surprised my mom with a birthday cake -- and then surprised us both with complimentary lychee cocktails! The service was impeccable as well. Each person on the waitstaff was kind, helpful, and accommodating. We loved how descriptive they were of each dish. It was also really nice of them to decide to give us an extra 2-top so we would have room for all of the courses. This is not only an incredible tasting menu, but made even more incredible by the price. 10 courses and a glass of champagne are $85. I was honestly shocked at how much we received for under $100. On multiple occasions, Elton has given me poor service and a noticeable attitude. I chose to overlook it at first, but eventually I brought it to management's attention because the treatment was consistent and unacceptable. After that complaint, the situation escalated. When I returned, Elton refused to serve me altogether. He would not look at me, acknowledge me, or take my order. I was left sitting there while being completely ignored. It became so obvious that other guests sitting next to me noticed and were concerned enough to step in and ask him why I wasn't being helped and to tell him to serve me. That should never have to happen. I then asked for the manager I had previously spoken to, Leo, because I wanted to understand what was going on. I still have not received any clear explanation. What's most concerning is that this behavior feels intentional. No employee in hospitality gets to decide who they will or will not serve based on personal feelings. If a staff member's feelings are "hurt" after a complaint, that does not justify refusing service to a guest. That is not professionalism--that is the opposite of hospitality. It was honestly disturbing enough that the people next to me told me directly that it didn't feel right and that I shouldn't come back because it seemed like I wasn't wanted there. That is not okay, especially at an establishment of this caliber. I am actively trying to get in touch with someone at the hotel who can properly address this situation, because this needs to be taken seriously. No guest should ever feel ignored, singled out, or unwelcome in this way.

The restaurant could be very quiet but on this occasion an obnoxiously loud group was so oblivious to the pleasure of others that some patrons chose to move outside patio dining. We also moved our table but the loud group was still very disturbing and so loud I could not hear the waitress. Most in our group ordered the le a.o.c burger with gruyère, dijon, caramelized shallots & crispy. I added avocado for extra flavor. It was presented very well on a plank and it was delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly per my order. One guest ordered the scrambled egg focaccia sandwich with hooks' cheddar, nueske's bacon & chive crème fraîche and loved it. He's usually a meat eater but decided to try something new and he was happy he did. Parking in the area is very limited, more so by required residential permit parking and lots of tow away signs. We found a spot four blocks from the restaurant. Of course they do offer valet parking. One of our guests used the valet for $13. One minor issue is the restaurant charges an additional 6% for employees health care benefits. A small amount but a sign of the times.
