    Cancun steak entree
    Mark K.

This place is amazing! I have been here a handful of times and my wife another handful. The food is always simply delicious. Don't have pics of the crab cakes or Cesar salad because I was too hungry to remember, but they went down without breathing! The crab cakes have mango salsa and it pairs so well. The croutons in the salad are so light and fluffy and the dressing is scrumptious. The Cancun steak is always our go to for entree. The black sauce is so great, especially on the rice. I think this wins awards! The caprinas and mojitos are a fantastic pair. Friday night dinner was busy and a bit busy, a little loud, but the service didn't delay and the tropical music was a nice touch to a nice evening. We will be back again for sure!

The food here at the Bamboo Bar and Restaurant is top notch - truly phenomenal flavors and presentation. Their mango chicken was phenomenal - juicy, tender, flavorful, and filling! The guacamole was tasty and was served with a side of their homemade salsa which packed a punch of heat. The drinks are made for you to uber home - my caipirinha was made the way that more than one would have had me in some trouble! Delicious, refreshing, and oh so full of alcohol!! The service was slow, and as we were the only diners in the entire restaurant, that was disappointing. The ambiance also leaves much to the imagination - but with flavors this good, I could be sitting on the floor in a dark room and my tastebuds would still be happy as ever. All in all, come for the food, stay for the drinks, and bring a group of friends to keep you company as you wait. An enjoyable experience I'll remember the next time I need a taste of island delicacy here in LA!

The food is like a Latin infused Caribbean yummy combination! It's amazing there's music playing the owner is very sweet and he loves to make you feel comfortable and welcome. The shrimp is really good The mango chicken is amazing and don't miss out on the appetizer for the ceviche! It's like nothing you've had before.

Venice boulevard has no shortage of inependitly owned small restaurants, mostly ethnic and good. We happened on Bamboo one evening. It was almost empty with a large enclosed patio and reasonably sized indoor area. It has marked parking spaced in the back for those who don't want to street park. Its theme is Mexican-Carribean fusion that it pulls off quite well. The beef and chicken offerings range from traditional arroz con pollo to more adventurous offerings. I ordered a salmon that tasted a bit off;the owner/chef took me into the kitchen where he showed me a beautiful side of fresh salmon and brought it out. This tasted wonderful with a complex, tangy sauce that had some elements of mole but with a citrus base and considerable complexity. A definite find to which we will return.

The food was so good. We ordered mango chicken, basil and tomato pizza, and bamboo salad. Everything was delicious and the portions were generous. Service was also great. The server was very friendly and checked in with us several times throughout the meal. Recommend!

Popped in here for a quick drink. Bartender was super nice and the drinks were refreshing and tasty. Definitely need to comeback to try the food!

One of my favorite restaurants in LA! Food is delicious and so are the drinks while not being too pricey. Owner is super nice. I'd recommend they put some signs and lights out indicating they're open and attract more people. This place deserves more hype try their mojitos and tortas!

First, you can park the car. It is so crazy no parking in the city. We stopped there because that. We saw the restaurant and thought it looks like a good spot. It used to be a fusion food. The food is really good taste, salsa is spicy lightly, the mole of salmon incredibly delicious. The crab cake is perfect. The service is nice, just a little slow. The cost is not bad, $62 for three people. And the ambiance is beautiful, very nice. They gave patio as well.

Went to this spot on a Friday night to grab some dinner with my wife. It was later in the evening, like 930, but the place was pretty dead. We started with the tostaditas, which were actually really good. It's just two tostadas, but everything on it was super flavorful and fresh. The pizza and chicken weren't bad but nothing too special. What really put a damper on our evening was the staff arguing most of the time we were there. Not sure what they were yelling about, but it was pretty rude as we could hear the yelling over their loud music while trying to enjoy our meal. Probably wouldn't go back just because it wasn't very welcoming it, but worth it to try the food since their cuisine is somewhat unique. Hope you enjoy!

This restaurant was closed during Covid, and I thought they were closed forever. Boy, am I glad they reopened! Drinks - solid 5. One of the best cocktails. Food - solid 5. The Cancun steak sauce is so flavorful that I could lick the plate. The Caribbean shrimp hits all the right notes of sweet, salty, and a little bit of acidity. The side of rice goes so well with all the sauces that I wanted to devour another plate. Service - The server was very knowledgeable about all the items on the plate. I highly recommend this place; you won't find this kind of amazing Caribbean food in Los Angeles.

I enjoyed my visit here. The service was great and very attentive and friendly. The music playing in the background was making want to dance. I am not a dancer. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It was a nice day so I sat outside. The food was delicious. I enjoy their take on the New York Streak and the salmon. The crab cakes with the pineapple sauce hit the spot. The drinks were on point. They gave us a good buzz. I would definitely recommend this place. It is pricey but I think it's worth it. Good place for a date.

I ended up ordering the Santo's Turkey Melt which is smoked turkey, grilled onions, Swiss cheese, and chipotle aioli served on sourdough with a side of french fries.
