Breakfast Station Self Serve

Located in the MdR Doubletree, past the bar, is Barbianca. We were greeted immediately and given the option to sit inside or outside. We chose, outside, under the overhang, by the pool. The Vibe is super chill. Was asked if we wanted coffee and was served it. Then, we self served our breakfast. They had eggs, Omelette Eggs, Bagels, Potatoes, French Toast, Yogurt Bar, Muffins, Danish, Pastries, Fruit, etc. I selected the Omelette Eggs (moist, cheesy, creamy, mushroom) and Potatoes (crispy, soft, onion sweetness, pepper, salty) with fresh coffee. Everything was warm and good no complaints. it was your typical medium level and down, Hilton breakfast. Very convenient and once again service was great so it did the trick.

This is located INSIDE the Hilton Mdr Hotel. The food was tasty! Here's what I got during lunch: A Venetian- a craft cocktail, this one is sweet so if you are a girl like me who like juice with her liquor this one is for you. I could barely taste the alcohol in this drink, which is good as it was 12pm on a Saturday lol! Chicken wings and fries- your usual chicken wing, fries were thick so that was a plus and a nice large serving. Before checking out today (Sunday) we also at at the breakfast buffet: Bacon scrambled eggs with tomato and spinach sausage home style potatoes French toast fresh fruit (grapes, cantaloupe, strawberries, and pineapple, whole apples and banana) Toast with different jams and jellies Muffins, danishes, and bagels Cereal and milk Assortment of Yogurt (I Think granola, don't quote me) Oatmeal and topping (brown sugar, raisins, etc) 4 diff kinds of juices chocolate milk, coffee, and tea Syrup andddd salsa And it was all so Devine. Unfortunately I have been having sense when it comes to eating so I was unable to eat more than one plate of food :-( But I still enjoyed. The servers were also patient and polite 10/10!!

This restaurant is situated in the MDR hotel. The place has a nice atmosphere and vibe but everything else really fell short. Even with a reservation for a larger party and literally no one dining in the restaurant, our table wasn't ready and they had to push them together. We had to constantly flag down the waitress to order, refill water, grab the check, etc. They were out of a few items for some of the dishes and I definitely should have rethought my choice of the shrimp pasta. Overall, the food was not great. The flavors were quite bland in the pasta and the fish was a bit over cooked. The Bolognese looked amazing and I definitely had some food envy. Overall, the food is priced at typical hotel prices but I've had much better. Although this is not a chain, it did not represent itself as a go to destination on its own.

Mascarpone espresso topped with biscotti bits

We had the Daily Bruschetta Board: smashed avocados, olive tepanade, grilled shrimp w/lemon and dill, seared ahi tuna, and prosciutto with brie cheese. Next up were the lamb meatballs with Greek yogurt, paired with an arugula fennel salad, which was refreshing and countered the creaminess of the yogurt. The roasted polenta cake with mushroom ragu and truffle sauce - so delicious and comforting! The biggest treat was the lamb osso bucco with lemon and dill sauce accompanied by roasted vegetables. I haven't seen this dish prepared in many places, so I'm glad I found it here. That sauce was delicious, lite, and flavorful! We also ordered the grilled swordfish made Mediterranean-style. It was a perfect portion with a healthy helping of sauteed spinach. For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse and mascarpone espresso topped with biscotti. Everything was exceptionally prepared and cooked. All dishes were full of flavor - light but flavorful. It took me away to Italy for the brief moment as I ate my meal. Thank you Chef Theo for a wonderfully and deliciously satisfying Italian dinner. Will be coming back soon!

Prosciutto pizza with roasted red peppers and arugula was one of the best flatbreads I've ever had.

5 stars for this unassuming Hilton property tucked away off hwy 90 (Lincoln). Modern style, cool low key pool area, ping pong table, and bar area. Tammy the bartender is amazing. Super friendly and makes great drinks. I highly recommend the seared ahi tuna and prosciutto flat bread. Best flatbread I've ever had. Cant wait to come back for happy hour and try more food on their menu. I'm about an hour away from MDR but will definitely make the drive to come here.

My friend and I came here for her birthday dinner because it was close by to the AMC where we were watching a movie. This restaurant is actually in the MDR hotel and is super nice! We decided to order four small dishes because none of the big dishes sounded particularly appetizing. She's a vegetarian so we shared the crispy sea salt potatoes, the polenta cake, the arugula quinoa salad and the caprese salad. Everything was big! I can't even imagine how the big plates would have been. The potatoes were nice and crispy, but didn't love the sauce they provided. Asked for ketchup. The salad was good but had one too many peppers. Polenta cake was delicious as was the caprese salad. Overall a great dinner. Although our waiter kinda disappeared after we got our food, so I had to find him in order to pay the bill. They do validate for parking tho!

It was as bad as it looks.

WARNING. It's terrible. Half the things we ordered they didn't even have. The rest were just horrible. One of the appetizers is so deep fried that the plate was full of grease from the drippings. They were definitely frozen. The shrimp wasn't cooked all the way... it was questionable raw and smelled just EWWW. There are only 4 dessert options, but they were out of half of them? The service was horrible. We ended up leaving after the appetizers and going across the street to eat the rest of our meal somewhere else.

Barbianca is a very nice restaurant located inside of the MDR hotel in Marina Del Rey. From the outside the hotel does not look very nice at all, but once you step inside you feel like you're in a posh hotel in Beverly Hills. The restaurant is located to the right of the entrance. Barbianca looks very clean and modern. It's a great place to meet up with some friends for some drinks and small plates. // PARKING // They offer self parking or valet. Self parking is free up to 3 hours and $5 minimum after that. // SERVICE // The service here was great. They constantly came to our table to clear plates and refill drinks. // FOOD // Daily bruschetta board: 3 for $9 or 5 for $14. We decided to get the 5 for $14 and order one of each except for the goat cheese and tomato bruschetta. The five different ones that we ordered were: tuna salad, braised artichokes, tomatoes, broccoli rabe, and the veal meatball. Everything was good, but nothing really made a huge impression on me. 3.5/5 Artisan cheese plate: A good selection of 4 different cheese served with a crostini, almonds, dried apricots and fig cake. The cheeses were all pretty good and the fig cake was surprisingly tasty. $9 3.5/5 Roasted polenta cake: Crisp polenta, foraged mushrooms, parmigiano-reggaino, truffle sauce, and chives. This was probably the best dish of the night. The polenta was on the bland side, but it was perfect once you got a bite of it with some mushrooms! $9 4/5 Artichoke ravioli: California artichokes, mozzarella, herb ricotta, cured olives and a light marinara sauce. I thought this dish was pretty good, but it could have used a little more flavor. $18 3.5/5 Sea salt herb fries: Fries are just always a good choice to snack on. $5 4/5 Overall, I was pretty impressed with Barbianca. I thought the atmosphere, food and service were all impressive. The total for 3 people was $150 including wine and beer. If you're in the area and are in need of a drink and relaxed night with some friends than I would recommend checking Barbianca out.

Margherita pizza

Service 5/5 Decoration 5/5 Food 2/5 Barbianca Local Kitchen is located inside of the hotel. Don't freak out about finding the restaurant; it's located right in front of you (on your right hand side) the moment you enter the hotel. Plenty of parking, lots of seating, and service is great. That's about it for the pros. The food, however, was horrendous. I had another vision for my margherita pizza ... and what I got was just super cheesy, greasy, and lacking in flavor. I could barely taste any of the basil and tomato, all of which were muted by the amount of cheese covering the pizza. I would also avoid the polenta cakes and seared ahi tuna. Polenta cakes were too salty and the seared ahi tuna did not taste like high quality fish. You would probably have to drown your tuna with lemon juice to make it passable. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant. You can find better Italian restaurants in the LA area than here.

Polenta cake- best dish of the night! (And I normally dislike polenta)
Gizelle F.

Was lucky enough to be invited here for a Yelp event... Amazing night with great people Service is 10+ Environment 8 Food 7.5 = solid 4 star review What I ate: Burrata with heirloom tomatoes- really tasty! Granted this was my first time eating burrata, but if you like mozzarella cheese and fresh tomatoes, you can't go wrong. It's like a fancier caprese, basically. Polenta cake with mushrooms and truffle sauce- WOW. Best dish of the night. The polenta was creamy and was perfectly paired by the mushrooms. A must! Halibut with roasted vegetable - wimp womp, least favorite. Halibut was dry. The crunch on top and the side of vegetables were delicious though! 35 day aged sirloin Steak- a better choice than the halibut. Could have used a little more seasoning though! Brownie with pistachio ice cream and red wine fudge-surprisingly good mix of everything! My only comment was the brownie is tasty but was tough to cut into and eat. Service was the best part about this place, you really feel like you're getting A list treatment here. Very hospitable, and we all got to meet the chef, which was pretty dang cool. Beautiful ambiance for a fancy schmancy night. Love the spacious high ceilings and open, "airy" feel- the restaurant looks out to the pool! Hinty Hinty for romantics. Of course plenty of flat screens for the avid sports watchers. A hidden gem inside a hotel! Thank you for inviting us here :)

braised lamb osso buco

This is my second time at Barbianca and it seems to be a consistent experience. The waiters are extremely friendly (and usually good looking) with very good food. They recently changed the menu which threw me off on what I was going to order but we were pleasantly surprised with the new options. I started with a Chianti wine and 2 appetizers: The roasted polenta cake- house-made crisp polenta, foraged mushrooms, parmigiano-reggiano, truffle sauce & chives & The Pizzetta- fennel sausage, artisanal pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, san marzano tomato sauce My brother and I split the braised lamb osso buco- red wine, roasted vegetables, yukon mashed potatoes which was very good and the pork tenderloin piccata- shallots, garlic, capers, white wine, lemon, flat leaf parsley which I thought was a bit better. They surprised me with birthday dessert which was so sweet of them and they were all very good and we had the house-made amaretto cheesecake, tiramisu, panna cotta and the caramelized pear tart. The decor is more swanky and was definitely recently renovated. They have heat lamps and fire & ice pits outside which makes sitting out there lovely. It also has a full bar and inside seating and since it's a hotel restaurant, it's fairly quiet and always easy to get a table.

Overall good food and nice scene. Stopped by thanks to the bonus credit from opentable and was super happy to see a yelp discount too when you check in! Hard to find because it's inside a doubletree hotel, but they did a good job sectioning it off so you don't feel like you're in a hotel. Steak was delicious, but the sides were just ok and a little on the salty side. Wish they had asparagus instead to sub out.

Who would have thought that a fantastic and delicious dining experience could be had at a restaurant located inside a hotel. Normally, restaurants at hotels are foofooish, overrated, and underwhelming. But not this one. Barbianca offers a delicious dining experience from start to finish. First and foremost, the staff was attentive and helpful with recommendations. Our waiter, Victor, was the quintessential host. He was attentive, checked on us frequently but was not too intrusive, and made fantastic and delicious meal recommendations. We started with the Polenta Cake (4 out of 5 stars), Caesar Salad (4 out of 5 stars), and grilled Octopus (4 out 5 stars) for appetizers. Followed by Vegetable Rigatoni (5 out of 5 stars) and Vegetable Lasagna (a 10 out of 5 stars!! This dish was that good!). We were absolutely delighted by the main dishes and would have doubled the portions if our stomachs had had the room! We finished our meal with Victor's recommendation of the Sampler Dessert which was made of cheesecake, panna cotta, and cannoli. The cheesecake was in a form of cupcake and was not the traditional cheesecake. It was delicious. The panna cotta was very good. The cannoli was not bad either, and all in all a great dessert trio. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone interested in a delicious meal, beautiful ambience, and impeccable service. It is the perfect place for taking a date, celebrating an occasion, business meeting or just to enjoy a fine meal. We will definitely be back soon!

Ospi is a bit more Americanized, and they do that very well. Spacious and gets crowded, so a reservation is a good idea. Fun cocktails and a variety of wines to choose from, if you're so inclined. The Chef's Negroni is a soothing, smoky and somewhat sweet cocktail that starts with cathedral mezcal. I loved it. We ordered a several dishes - and let's start by saying you must try the ricotta. 'Whipped cheese, sea salt' does not do it justice, but it's wonderful and perfect to share. The Beef Tartare is another winner, served with crispy potato and parm. It's pretty huge, and rich, and conveniently cut into pieces for easy sharing. The crunch potato chips on top are a nice finish. A creative take on a classic, purists might wonder what's going on, until they taste it. The Caesar is huge and great to share, too, as well as the Crispy Rhode Island Calamari. These are more in the department of comfortable staples, but are delicious crowdpleasers, nonetheless. Of the entrees we ordered, everyone seemed to like mine the most: Malloreddus (bbef cheek, ragu napoletano, thyme, toscano). It sounded a bit quirky, but inviting. The server gave it a bit thumbs up, so I'm glad to have ventured this way. Served over the small pasta pieces that you can watch being made closer to the front of the restaurant. The Lemon Tagliolini features lobster 'fry diavolo', basil and pistachio. Not too spicy, and the lobster and pasta were perfectly cooked. The cannelloni was perhaps the one entree that, while good, did not rise above 'just fine'. Perhaps the flavors were a bit toned down that night, or maybe overwhelmed by the gorgeous Sorrentina blanket of mozzarella, tomato sauce and basil. Dessert was good, and the DIY affogato was delicious. Noteworthy service, and a friendly sometimes boisterous energy in the restaurant help make for a fun dining experience.

Poached egg on top of the pasta is not the best choice. Overall our experience was great and we will definitely go back if we are in the area.

Appetizers: Focaccia (sfincione) - 5/10 (GF rating 4/10) Super greasy, like, very. Make sure to ask for extra olive oil on the side, as that does make it better as they do have delicious olive oil. The bread seems like it's also cooked in olive oil, but frankly if they made their bread and had olive oil on the side it would've been much better. The bread itself though, ugh that whole bottom was wet in oil. Super unfortunate. Solid but oily as heck. Rice Croquettes (suppli in Bianco) - 5/10 (GF rating 2/10) Forgettable. Nothing special, no sauce paired with it. They're mediocre. I wouldn't get this again. Mains: Lamb Ragu (malloreddus) - 9/10 (GF rating 7.5/10) Extremely tasty. Pasta was very well cooked, lamb meat was perfect, as goes for the cheese on top and the sauce. Amazing meal. Would've been far better without having the subpar appetizers beforehand. Cheese and pepper pasta (cacio e Pepe) - 5/10 (GF rating 6.5/10) Non meat pastas aren't my thing, so take my rating with a grain of salt, as I would never get this myself. Jam on top was awfully bitter, quite literally inedible. The crouton like things were whatever. The panna cotta itself, as in only the white part, VERY good. Service was fine. Didn't care for the ambiance.

I ordered the huevos rancheros and they asked me if sunny side up eggs were ok and I requested over easy if possible. They served sunny side up eggs to me (not a big problem, but why even ask?) I also don't like that they serve hot lattes in those plastic water cups (first of all, that looks cheap like did you run out of mugs? Second of all that means these cups are too hot to hold for a couple minutes!) When I visited the WeHo location, I remember liking my latte (that was served in a mug), so I was pretty disappointed. Also just anything hot in a plastic container makes me feel weird consuming. Also justice for those sitting on those tiny stools, because not only are they tiny, but you're in the busy aisle so people are always bumping in to you! Wish I had a chair with a back. One good thing was that this place doesn't rush you when you're seated and finished eating, which I really appreciate!
