I have been here for Happy Hour but this was my first brunch! So for easter brunch they had a pre fixed menu for $32, included 1 app and 1 main. Drinks: Macha latte was decent. Nothing to revert about. But wow, that mimosa was filled to the rim! I got the speciality weekend brunch spritz. I don't remember what it was call but it was strong and refreshing. Yes. The spritz was strong or my tolerance has gone way down. First course: I was pleasantly surprised by how big the Avacado toast was. It had a jam at the bottom that brought the whole dish together. Like my HH review, some micro greens would have taken my heard back. I just love microgreens! Deviled eggs and croquetts I've tried before. They were both pretty good. Croquetts can't do wrong. Mains: I got the crab Benedict and it was awesome! I filled up on my avocado toast so I took half of it home. There was plenty of crab and the poached egg was running and bright orange. That's some healthy eggs! Fresh toast looked amazing as well, same with the burger. I know the burger was also popular at happy hour for the price but I was told it was very good. I'll have to go next time just for that. Parking: Just park by the paid lot by trader Joe's or off Cardiff. Easier than trying to find parking on that street. The paid lot is $1 free and $1 additional hours. The patio was super charming with all the natural lights and shaded by the trees. The service was decent as well. This is a review for breakfast/brunch on a Sunday. A friend and I were going to meet somewhere else but a road race prevented us from being able to get there so we pivoted to Simonette and we were happy we did! Valet parking at the Pali Hotel (restaurant is in lobby) was $17 but free with validation, yay! The setting is charming - we opted to sit in the back with the trees and indoor/outdoor vibe and it was adorable. Waitstaff in blue or red striped shirts were friendly and attentive. English breakfast tea with almond milk or whole milk (oat milk also offered) - 5/5, generous mug with many refills of hot water French omelette - 4/5, decent omelette with comte and frissee salad lightly dressed Greek yogurt with granola and coconut - 4/5, my friend had this and was glad she asked as there was no fruit involved with this so she ordered a side of fruit which was canteloupe and pineapple chunks sprinkled with tajine Overall, a lovely environment and pretty good food. I'd be willing to go back and try lunch or dinner there it was so cute! read more

You can't beat the $10 burgers for happy hour on Monday - Fridays, 3 PM - 6 PM! Service was great! Came in with no reservation on a Tuesday evening around 5:30 PM, and they were surprisingly booked for the evening. It's a small dining space inside the lobby of Palihotel Culver City. They did procure a small table and seat for one though, thankfully! I had the Parisienne burger and frites - while it's definitely not a replacement for Petit Trois's big mec, it's like it's younger cousin. My only note is I wish the burger was hotter, and a little less salty (I would say most people would just say it's very flavorful though). I used the remainder of the bordelaise sauce to finish off my fries, which were well seasoned with a touch of fried rosemary, cute! Parking is easy on the street, since it's on one of the quieter parts of Culver City. Bathrooms are inside the hotel area (go down the hallway where the check-in desk is). We arrived early, but by around 12:00 noon the place became packed. I'm not sure if that's normal for Simonette, since this is my first time during lunch time. SERVICE They only had one server. Repeat: One Server. And he also doubled as the host. So yes--service was a little sketchy. THE FOOD (The servings were generous. 5 Stars to that!) Appetizers (5 stars): a) Avocado Toast - delicious b) Croquettes - very delicious! Entrées (3 stars): My niece and I both ordered the French Omelette. I found it bland, even though it was wrapped in cheese. But my niece liked it. I guess you can add some salt and pepper to it. The Omelette came with a side salad that was really tasty. It looked like shaved Frisée (Curly Endive) with what tasted like a simple vinaigrette. Loved it!! Dessert (5 stars): Crème Brûlée - delicious! OTHER SERVICE/STAFF The staff at the hotel check-in counter also doubled as the cashier when paying for valet parking. She was very nice. The valet parkers were nice as well. I met up with a dear friend here to catch up on life, ring in 2026, and disconnect from the current mayhem in the world/political climate. We were getting our steps in while milling about Culver City and landed here for a light nosh and a beautiful glass of French vino. Best decision of the day! We enjoyed a crisp glass of Chenin Blanc, accompanied by the freshest and most delicious tuna tartare served with shrimp crackers. It was the perfect balance of flavors and textures. I also must take a moment for the ambiance and decor, which captured us from the curb appeal to the powder room and everything in between. Beautiful atmosphere! I love how well-kept the staff attire is. I thought my food was okay - I can't remember the name of the appetizer I had for brunch, but it was a tomato base with and egg to top on sourdough. The bread was perfectly toasted, the egg was perfect, but the tomato sauce took over and was missing "something". It needed a seasoning. I got the crab benedict and it was delicious with the fresh arugula! My mom had the deviled eggs and strawberry French toast. I would recommend both! They were delicious! I'll have to come back to the bar and try more beverages. I was surprised how long it took for me to get my mimosa when it was just my mom and I and one other table for a long time. This restaurant came up while searching for a dog friendly restaurant with a patio. I walked in with my 75 lbs. Golden Retriever. The host greeted him with treats. All the staff welcomed my dog and loved him. A big plus for me. Very charming patio area with a gorgeous tree in the middle. Nice bar seatings as well. The menu had so many of my favorites. I couldn't help but had ordered 3 different dishes just for myself. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. Nice interior, quiet ambiance, great food and service. I couldn't be happier. I saw they had an amazing happy hour special and came in for this but didn't realize it was only M-F. Oops. I already had my mind set on a burger though so I ordered it a full price and it was still worth it. The burger patty's are not as thick as a pub burger but then not as small as a smash burger. There is a lot of seasoning and the American cheese actually hits just right. I saw American cheese was on the burger and snubbed my nose at this, since it's not blue, cheddar, Gorgonzola or a fancy cheese, but like that movie, The Menu, sometimes American cheese is what hits the best. The sauce is bomb. I am glad they put it because it gave me permission to eat the burger with a knife and fork and I actually now might prefer to eat burgers this way. It allows you to take your time eating the burger. The inside is super cute. It seems more like a place you'd find in Manhattan than in Los Angeles. It's old school and has charm. Like a really old building that has been properly maintained. The staff super chill as well. I was helped by 3 different people. My partner had a Japanese old Fashioned and she said it was good. It had a single fancy ice cube in it. This burger is a contender for one of the best burgers I've had in LA. read more

We just missed the happy hour here. The service was a bit slow even though it wasn't super busy but friendly. They didn't have any draft beers, so if you are looking for that, this place is a pass. We all tried the burgers here, and they were good! The Parisienne one though was almost drowning in sauce (maybe a good thing) and had to be eaten with a knife and fork! Decent French bistro style restaurant! Came here as part of a team offsite and liked the variety in the menu. The ratatouille is a highlight, presented beautifully and just lightly charred on the top. Great flavors and paired beautifully with the roast chicken. Roast chicken was a little too dry for my liking although they did manage to get the skin very nice and crispy. Other dishes including appetizers were nothing to write home about. Came with a friend for lunch. The mocktail was bitter, no orange taste, no bubbles in the "spritz", all ice. The salads were all huge romaine leaves. They couldn't slice through the whole lot at once, takes a second with a big sharp knife on a cutting board? It was cumbersome for us to cut every single one multiple times on our plates. Waited so long for the check I thought we were in France. Last, the rattan or whatever woven chairs are very uncomfortable. I still like this place though and I will be back, which I guess is how they get away with all this. read more

Great happy hour - we had the $10 American burger ($12 for the Parisienne), $5 frites, little gem salad, and $8 wine. Get there early to grab a table on the cute patio - these fill up fast. Host was a bit snippy ("it's happy hour until 6 but I don't know what time it is now...and you need to give up this table by 7, kaybye") but our server was sweet. Btw if you get the Parisienne burger they serve it in a bed of sauce which makes the bottom bun really soggy - best to knife and fork this. Upon entering this restaurant, I felt like I was transported to a cute restaurant in France where you want to take your time sipping on a cappuccino and chatting with good friends. The service here was quick and all of the staff were very friendly. I visited this restaurant during Dine LA, so they had a prixe fix menu to choose from. I ordered the sweet gems salad, the salmon and farro salad, and a crème brûlée for dessert. The sweet gems salad was refreshing and had a delicious vinaigrette dressing. My only complaint is that the lettuce leaves were pretty huge so I had to cut them to have smaller bites, but I believe that is how that type of lettuce is served, so not too big of an issue. The salmon was cooked to perfection and not dry at all. The farro and veggies complemented the salmon nicely. The crème brûlée was delicious because it was not too sweet. The majority of the sweetness came from the caramelized sugar top. This was easily one of the best crème brûlées that I've ever had. Simonette is quite a gem in downtown Culver. read more

This is a cute spot with indoor/outdoor seating tucked in the Culver City downtown plaza. As others have mentioned, parking is a challenge, so save yourself a headache and just park in one of the city lots nearby. The Parisienne Burger is the thing to get here (and it is 50% off during happy hour!) - just trust me. I have also tried the chicken, which good, was not memorable, but the burger has definitely stayed in my memory. Note that it is quite a small restaurant so it is a bit tight and probably not great for large groups and reservations are definitely recommended. read more

I found Simonette on my trusty Yelp app since I was waiting in the neighborhood for my car to be serviced and wanted to eat in walking distance. After falling in love with the reviews and the pictures, decided to walk over with my boyfriend and easily found it within the gorgeous Palihouse hotel. Upon walking in, odd vibe. I accidentally checked with the front desk and they were so annoyed I asked them where the hostess is. OK, they pointed and the hostess where she asked if it was OK for us to be seated in the dining room since the garden is full (it was fine). We faced the garden and the beautiful, Parisian-inspired layout of the dining room as our waiter came to take our initial drink order. We decided on our order and after a bit of a wait, got the croquettes to start with, the mimosa flight, and our breakfast. Having received my Traditional Breakfast dish and his Benedict Tartine, we needed a few condiments and it took a minute to flag anyone down to assist us. But another waitress saw us needing assistance and helped. The menu is small as are the servings the entrees come on. But that's a good thing -- don't let your eyes fool you! There's enough to be satisfied! However, what wasn't satisfying is that our waiter disappeared on us altogether and after taking our orders, didn't reappear until we paid the bill. Incredibly frustrating because we had to flag someone for the last mimosa of the flight and for water then the bill itself. I met up with some old friends after work on a school night. Much to our luck, Monday is their All Night Happy Hour and the Simonette menu didn't disappoint. We started at the bar with the cocktail of the day, which was Champagne Brut with a splash of Chambord, while waiting for a table to open up under the big tree on the back patio. The wait was not bad whatsoever despite it being prime time for happy hour and drinks in Culver. Less than a half an hour later, we got seated with our small group. To start, we each had a few Oysters at $3/piece. The oysters were fresh & semi-briny and the mignonette sauce was chock full of minced shallots, making it the perfect topping. Personally, I loved the subtle Parisian hints around the restaurant, including the artwork along the long corridor to the loo and the black and white Bretagne striped sailor shirts on some of the staff. Yes, even the lightly fragrant soap in the bathroom took me back to my days in France. We continued our meal with a $10 Americaine Burger. Juicy and stacked with tomato, lettuce, red onion, and cheese, it was ample-sized. The pommes frites were perfectly crisp. And I think their pinot noir was nice on its own, however, it also pairs well with a burger. At just $8/ glass, we kept our glasses full with a few rounds. Ahh, these Americans were not too dumb when it came to their wallets that evening. For anyone searching for more Happy Hour deals in an open air setting beneath the stars (or indoor seating), they have All Night Happy Hour with extend deals until close on Mondays, along with something special every day of the week. All the streets around there are permit parking *only*, seven days a week, and $17 for the valet is ridiculous (maybe that price is reasonable for the hotel, but not for a 1 to 2 hour dining experience). Instead, just park at the garage under the Erewhon on Culver Blvd. and walk through the courtyard toward the Culver Hotel, and past it to Van Buren. A friend of mine picked this place to meet for lunch. The menu is pretty limited. We both decided on the burgers. I went with the Parisienne Burger topped with caramelized onions, American cheese and bordelaise on a toasted brioche bun. The patty itself was thick, juicy, and expertly cooked to a tender medium as ordered. The burgers comes with truffle fries which were golden, thin, and crisp. My friend enjoyed his American burger as well. There's Happy Hour from 3-6 when burgers are half off. I'd definitely come back for that! Service was okay. I was pleasantly surprised to later discover that it's part of the Palihotel in downtown Culver! We made a reservation in advance, and I'm glad we did, because it ended up being pretty packed on a Sunday afternoon. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly hostess and immediately escorted to our table. I absolutely loved the indoor-outdoor atmosphere of the restaurant, and the interior design created an elevated and lively ambiance. I knew I had to order the steak tartare crostone as soon as I saw it on the menu - your girl does love a good steak tartare Sure enough, the dish did not disappoint, and I finished every last crumb on my plate. My friend ordered some sort of standard American breakfast and seemed to enjoy it as well. Parking is a breeze with the downtown Culver parking garage next door - I believe the first hour or so is free. My friend also noted that it was easy to find free street parking, which is not always the case for that area. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience here and would definitely come back. Came for DineLA, for which they honored a typo on the Dine LA website, as the 3-course lunch is only offered on weekdays. Steak Tartare - Tasty on fantastic grilled rustic bread. Good sized portion too. The balsamic vinegar made it a great appetizer. Tunisian Tuna Tartine - Chef's kiss and healthy. Love tapenade and comes with a simple side salad. The white beans were a little too firm for me. Creme brûlée - served in a jar. Was so creamy and rich, some of the best I've had but too bad the sugar layer was over torched and bitter. The inside area was bustling and loud. The bar is nice and I would come back. It's not for very large groups but offers seafood options and a Croque Madame that I'll probably try next. A word about parking: if you don't valet, be warned that Culver Steps parking posts rates that only apply to P1. Any other level ISN'T FREE for the first hour; it's SEVEN dollars. Surprisingly, it was not busy and we had quit w a bit of space The space essentially acts as the bar/lobby area to the hotel. There's lots of greenery and natural lighting. Food wise, the standout was the French onion soup which came with a large fluffy puff pastry on top. It was delicious and well seasoned. Definitely a hit if you love a good classic French onion soup. My friends mainly ordered their burgers and truffle fries. All good and satisfying, but nothing to rave about. Forgettable. Would I return? Sure. Would I go out of my way for the food, probably not. We lap randomly had to wait such a long time for a Caesar salad that didn't come until the end of the meal. I would say it's a cute space for brunch with friends. Arriving / parking: There's a valet out front for $17 for dinnertime but you can try your luck for street parking or the parking structure near the Culver Steps if you don't mind the walk. You can probably walk in during lunch or happy hour times but reservations are always good for a larger group or if timing is important. We can get checked in no problem, just be sure to hang left on entry for the restaurant instead of the hotel desk at the right. Vibe: Gorgeous bar with art deco like detail, and also open patio area towards the back, with smaller indoor seating near the entrance. It gets loud in the evening so you may need to raise your voice a bit to hear your party but it's lively! Service: Friendly, sometimes not too timely if the place has a lot of tables filled but we could flag people down to get our water refilled, silverware, etc. Food/drinks: The cocktails are lovely and imaginative and the recommendations are on point based on your preferences, not too sweet and well balanced in flavor and strength. Food comes in good portions! The French onion soup comes out piping hot with a pastry crust, very domed and beautiful, big enough to share with two. The burger is always good and the fries that come with it are delicious and truffly. The vegetarian squash risotto is cheesy and you can taste every flavorful grain of al dente rice along with the crisp sage leaves. We love coming here for brunch and enjoyed the lively vibe for dinner. I think Simonette shines the most for brunch time on a weekend on the wets side.
