Dinner: Scotch Salmon was cooked with the top crunchy with the fish perfectly cooked over sauteed kale, arugula and garbanzo beans and beautifully presented. Meatballs and hand-rolled pasta was tasty, per my husband. 5 stars for presentation and taste. Dessert: gelato and Sundae! We all loved our gelato and my husband loved his Sundae. Service: 4 stars, only because it took a long time for our plates to be removed and we had to wave down the server to come over . Ambience: 5 stars! Reminiscent of the former Ingo's Tasty Diner which has a cool hip vintage vibe. The store next door has an array of gift items and all the way in the back is a nice patio for dining too!! Where do I even start?? I went to Diner Antonette for the first time last night and I plan to be back many, many times. Diner Antonette's happy hour alone is incredible (1/2 off beer, wine, cocktails open until 7- even better than their former sister restaurant The Misfit), but the absolute highlight is the fact that you can buy a bottle of wine from their gift shop next door and drink it at the restaurant with no corkage fee. We split a $20 bottle that probably would have been $12-14 per glass elsewhere. Last night I spent $60 total for an appetizer, entree, and my portion of the wine. In this city in 2026 that is totally unheard of. The food was great, too, and staff was friendly and attentive. See you soon! read more

Great cocktails and food! Friendly staff. Really enjoyed the variety of cocktails they have here and the happy hour is amazing. Cannot beat it on the west side. Our first time here this past Sunday afternoon. Very nice remodel of the former Ingos restaurant. Very inviting. We were actually walking on our way to Santa Monica Pizza across the street and decided to check this place out after having read its Yelp reviews. It was Happy Hour and they had good prices on both cocktails and the pizzas we ordered. We sat at the bar which was quite beautifully designed with comfortable seating. Our bartender Keith was very nice and enjoyable to talk to. He made really good Bloody Mary's too! The pizzas were wonderful. Great thin crust with a delicious, perfectly chewy bite. The Smoked Salmon pizza was something we hadn't had before and so delicious that I'd highly recommend. The Sausage and Pepperoni Pizza was also very good and I'd recommend as well. Found this on a whim. So many restaurants closed on Wilshire so I was happy to find this gem. It's has a perfect atmosphere. Giving 4 stars because I can't give 3.5 but food and service were decent. We came as a party of 5 and we had to wait an hour for our table during the end of happy hour. Very happy with the drink prices during happy hour being half off. The ambiance is nice for an old diner they have definitely spruced the place up. My favorite dish was the Brussel sprouts. I really wanted to like this place more than I did. The staff was really nice and the concept is cool and has a lot of potential. Unfortunately the food was just okay. The brussel sprouts were good, probably the best thing we got, but nothing different than the brussel sprouts you get at any other restaurant. The muhammara was okay, a bit too sweet. The radicchio salad was weird. The dressing tasted like lotion, just wasn't anything tasty. The veggie burger was just plain bad but the fries that came with it were good (but most fries are good). This is honestly the best bang for your buck place for happy hour; and it is out on the west side of LA where everything costs more. We went on Sunday late afternoon for drinks. Their happy hour lasted until 7, but essentially all drinks were 50% off (cocktails were essentially 7.50), same as wine. We also split a smoker salmon pizza for $16 which was not bad especially for the pricing. It was relatively quiet when we went, and it didn't really pick up too much when we left. We sat at the bar and I'd say our bartender was quite attentive, and gave us suggestions on drinks as well. There is also a cute general store owned by them next door. This is literally the best happy ever on the west side. Not exaggerating. Pizzas are nine dollars, drinks are half off. And that goes until 7pm!!! We got a bottle of wine and there was no corkage during happy hour so literally we got a bottle of white for $25! Our server was super nice. The vibes were good, the food was delicious. Happy hour policy is very confusing. There's a big sign at the door that says "happy hour until 7", and the menu also says that. But if you're not sitting at the bar, and it's between 6 and 7, they'll charge you full price for drinks. When I got the check and asked them, they said happy hour is until 6 for tables and until 7 for the bar. That's a very confusing policy and not printed or explained anywhere. They need to either reprint the menus and the sign to clarify, or just honor happy hour until 7 everywhere. The good news is the Bombay chicken is delicious. read more

My fiancee and I were driving past one of our favorite places we went to years ago. I think it was called Callahan's Diner and it had an old pastry place sort of connected to it next door. Now a days it has become a more upscale diner and next door is a gift shop/retail store. We tried the food and it was good. Not diner prices or prices like back in the day but the staff was awesome and so was the food so it was worth it. We tried the Cheeseburger Antonette and it was a really good hamburger and the fries were like In N Out. We also tried the Meatballs and Hand Rolled Spaghetti. DELICIOUS! But I gotta warn you. My lips was on fire half way through. It was pretty spicy but tolerable. My fiancee loves spicy food and inhaled the rest of my dish while I enjoyed the rest of his hamburger and fries. read more

My family, friends and I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying brunch at the new Santa Monica hotspot, Diner Antonette. (This amazing spot also offers dinner, and I can't wait to try that menu!) We started with the Mezze which was just incredible and moved on to the peaches and burrata.. I really love burrata and can't remember it ever combined with peaches which was just perfect. But we were stunned with the most delicious crab pasta which was delicate and delicious and the homemade pasta better than Italy. So excited to have Diner Antonette in the neighborhood! I've been a fan of the hospitality group's other spots (especially La Grande Orange in Pasadena and The Misfit) so I had high hopes, and overall, this new addition did not disappoint. We came by over the weekend and had a really nice dinner. We got the roasted garlic appetizer, and for mains, we shared the steak dish and the crab/lobster pasta. Both were well-prepared. I also had a white negroni that was perfectly balanced and super refreshing. The ambiance is charming and unique given the building! It's clear they're still getting their footing (as expected for a new opening), but I can already see the potential. Excited to come back and see how the menu and service evolve. Went there back when it was Callahan's, and they have kept the diner feel but done a great job of modernizing the space. Happy hour is pretty terrific, with 50% off all alcohol and $9.00 pizzas that are definitely big enough for two people to share and pretty darn tasty. Our server, Isol (spelling?) was spunky and had personality, the fellow who mixes the drinks has skills and is pleasant, and fellow patrons were friendly and happy. Had the Brussel sprouts...a but pricey at $18, but the portion is huge (easily shareable), the goat cheese dip is yummy, and I was happy I ordered this dish. We tried a few cocktails, but the one that really stood out was the Ramos Old-Fashioned, so full of taste! The food was just as impressive. The cheeseburger is made with Angus beef that's ground to order. You could tell the difference, it was juicy and fresh. I went back a couple of weeks ago for brunch. The meal was good. The pancakes were fantastic! Service was good but a bit too much...it felt like we were being pushed out, but it was not busy. I think the waitress is a new waitress with a bit too much learn, it's nice to be paid attention to, when my drink is empty for sure, ask if I need another, plates clean, take them, but otherwise, if it's not busy, we can be left to chat without interruption. Overall a better experience. Will probably go back as it is convenient and good food. Would love more mimosa flavors! read more

Food was exceptional & not the same 'ol menu at so many restaurants in LA. Super fresh produce!! Staff were all very attentive and helpful with recommendations & making sure we were getting service. I was here when it was under previous owners right before it closed & I was sad because the space is lovely... but now it's open again & even better. So happy to be able to come here again. Go!
