Our first time here this past Sunday afternoon. Very nice remodel of the former Ingos restaurant. Very inviting. We were actually walking on our way to Santa Monica Pizza across the street and decided to check this place out after having read its Yelp reviews. It was Happy Hour and they had good prices on both cocktails and the pizzas we ordered. We sat at the bar which was quite beautifully designed with comfortable seating. Our bartender Keith was very nice and enjoyable to talk to. He made really good Bloody Mary's too! The pizzas were wonderful. Great thin crust with a delicious, perfectly chewy bite. The Smoked Salmon pizza was something we hadn't had before and so delicious that I'd highly recommend. The Sausage and Pepperoni Pizza was also very good and I'd recommend as well. All the staff we spoke with were very nice and made you feel welcome. Overall we really liked Diner Antonette and will be back!

Found this on a whim. So many restaurants closed on Wilshire so I was happy to find this gem. It's has a perfect atmosphere. Great wall art, the lighting has lots of shadows, the bar has a retro look to it. The restaurant is elongated so it looks huge. Fun. Romantic. Great happy hour. Prices are fair service is attentive and the food is good. I liked my Paris texas cheese burger. We talked about our experience after we left. All positive. Try it if you can find parking. *** I am just sayin' : I would never ask my clients to help support my employees so...why are they doing it here? Principle.

Happy to have a place that feels like a quaint jazz club on busy Wilshire Blvd. The Brussels sprouts were fantastic - in particular the baked goat cheese it was paired with. The burger was wonderful and classic. The peach salad was unique but would probably skip. Our waitress was cold but effective. Will be coming back for the Brussels soon.

Giving 4 stars because I can't give 3.5 but food and service were decent. We came as a party of 5 and we had to wait an hour for our table during the end of happy hour. Very happy with the drink prices during happy hour being half off. The ambiance is nice for an old diner they have definitely spruced the place up. My favorite dish was the Brussel sprouts. The sauce on the spaghetti and meatballs is spicy but you can opt for mild. All in all I enjoyed dinner but would not rush back.

This place is so good. And honestly, it needs more hype. Santa Monica is a tough place to make it, y'all. The rent! It's so damn high! So when a place like this opens up, we all need to support it. Luckily, they make it easy. The happy hour is legitimately the best in town. Half off the entire bar. This includes the top shelf. You want a 20 year bourbon?! Half off! You want that expensive tequila?! HALF OFF! The vibe is chill. They play jazz. It's swanky without being pretentious. The food?? Let's talk about that spaghetti and them delicious meatballs. It rivals many Italian restaurants. LOVE! The burger, you ask?? So F-ing GOOD! Simple, carmelized meat, squishy bun. The servers are all lovely. We always sit at the bar. We have had nothing but amazing service. Simply put... GO HERE!

Awesome happy hour in a chic ex-diner. One of our new favorites. The deviled eggs are great. Pizza can't miss.

I really wanted to like this place more than I did. The staff was really nice and the concept is cool and has a lot of potential. Unfortunately the food was just okay. The brussel sprouts were good, probably the best thing we got, but nothing different than the brussel sprouts you get at any other restaurant. The muhammara was okay, a bit too sweet. The radicchio salad was weird. The dressing tasted like lotion, just wasn't anything tasty. The veggie burger was just plain bad but the fries that came with it were good (but most fries are good). Everything was just okay sadly.

This is honestly the best bang for your buck place for happy hour; and it is out on the west side of LA where everything costs more. We went on Sunday late afternoon for drinks. Their happy hour lasted until 7, but essentially all drinks were 50% off (cocktails were essentially 7.50), same as wine. We also split a smoker salmon pizza for $16 which was not bad especially for the pricing. It was relatively quiet when we went, and it didn't really pick up too much when we left. We sat at the bar and I'd say our bartender was quite attentive, and gave us suggestions on drinks as well. There is also a cute general store owned by them next door. Highly recommend this place

Stopped on a whim. Love vintage diners. Wow show stopping atmosphere. Beautifully decorated and very inviting, with 1950s upscale diner charm. Was greated and seated immediately by amazing wait staff. Started with homemade lemonade and house pinto noir. There wine list/room is 3 pages full. The brunch menu is exceptional and lunch is fabulous. 5 star dinning is a hidden gem with soft music, comfortable seats and excellent food. We shared a white fish open sandwich ona bro he bun and a Paris Texas burger. Wow come try for yourself. White linen napkins, real silverware , nice stem ware and waitstaff in white collard shirts and ties. Soft elegance, great food and exceptional service. Come try today.

Meatballs and Hand Rolled Spaghetti

My fiancee and I were driving past one of our favorite places we went to years ago. I think it was called Callahan's Diner and it had an old pastry place sort of connected to it next door. Now a days it has become a more upscale diner and next door is a gift shop/retail store. We tried the food and it was good. Not diner prices or prices like back in the day but the staff was awesome and so was the food so it was worth it. We tried the Cheeseburger Antonette and it was a really good hamburger and the fries were like In N Out. We also tried the Meatballs and Hand Rolled Spaghetti. DELICIOUS! But I gotta warn you. My lips was on fire half way through. It was pretty spicy but tolerable. My fiancee loves spicy food and inhaled the rest of my dish while I enjoyed the rest of his hamburger and fries.

Most of the bars are dive bars in downtown Santa Monica, and parking is quite accessible for this place. So I'd recommend for that reason. In terms of the drinks, I'm a huge fan of cocktail but I would say their menu selections are a bit limited. Nothing in the signature cocktail looks interesting to me, so I had the bartender make a classic cocktail instead. He's very attentive and friendly, didn't take forever to get a drink either, no attitude. Drinks aren't watered down either. Nice! You come here to grab quick drinks when you don't feel like being at a loud dive bar in the area, it's in a hotel but not too upscale, no strict dress code. Music is not loud and they have couches and booth if bar table if not your thing, you don't have to yell or pretend you hear everything to hold a conversation here (lol). ** Keep in mind 20% gratuity is automatically included in bill, it's my first time here. But I think I've other spots I'd prefer to be in, even at Santa Monica. Wouldn't be self-motivated to come back because there are better places that specialises mixology, and there are also better upscale hotel bars to be at. But if you're around the area it's a great intimate bar for date night that's not overly pricey. Wouldn't travel all the way to here just for this (if you know what I mean).

I first came here as part of our stay at the hotel, and it has a surprisingly lively atmosphere throughout the day. There are quite a lot of people working on laptops or studying, which gives it more of a community café feel than a typical hotel restaurant. Parking is valet only at the hotel and costs $22 for up to 2 hours, which is steep. However, street parking nearby is metered and not too difficult to find if you're willing to walk a few minutes. The food is definitely on the expensive side, but the quality is generally very good. The standouts were the Proper Breakfast, acai bowl, shakshuka plate, and breakfast burrito. These felt thoughtfully prepared and satisfying. The salmon bagel was just okay and didn't quite justify the price. I also had a smoothie that was very good, but at $20, it felt hard to fully justify ordering again. I was especially interested in trying their Cowboy Cold Foam coffee, but unfortunately it wasn't available during our visit. We also ordered takeout for dinner, and that experience was strong overall. The mushrooms and onion soup dip was excellent and one of the highlights. The Caesar salad and vodka pasta were decent but not particularly memorable. Overall, La Palma delivers a great atmosphere, strong breakfast options, and high-quality food, though pricing is definitely premium across the board. It's worth visiting, especially if you're staying at the Proper Hotel or want a beautiful place to relax, work, or enjoy a leisurely breakfast.

It was a lil' thicker than your typical mango lassi, but the faint sweetness did a great job at masking the earthiness of the kava.
