Not No Bar keeps it simple with wood fired pizzas and cocktails. There is extremely limited open seating and it the whole place gets packed on the weekends with standing room only. It's sort of like, with not much room to sit, and not much room to stand, they didn't decide which one they wanted it to be. The ambiance is cool with a vinyl DJ and the pizza oven out in the open. There's some outdoor seating and it's kid and pet friendly until the later evening hours. The cocktail menu leans tiki, and I had the "I Believe In Science" made with gin, Thai basil, watermelon and soda water. It really didn't taste like much. Their pizza menu changes from time to time. We had the clam pizza which was almost personal pizza size and cost a cool $27. At that price, I would expect to be blown away. Overall, the whole experience was underwhelming. read more

Not No Bar - Clam Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Santa Monica, California

Such an amazing for cocktails and pizzas. Good vibes and delicious cocktails. The crudo is just ok but everything else was great- Especially the Caesars pizza with anchovies! The clam pizza was a little salty but pretty unique. The staffs are very nice and friendly. Highly recommend this place for a quick bite or some quality cocktails time! read more

I'd been wanting to try this place for ages, and it exceeded my expectations. This place serves sourdough pizza and turns into a wine bar with live music at night, so it was BUSY on a Saturday evening. We waited about 45 minutes for a table (it's first come first serve, so not exactly recommended as a quick dinner spot if you have plans after). But their menu is super concise yet eccentric - I wanted to try everything from the caesar salad pizza to the elote pizza and even the animal style pizza. We ended up getting the margherita, elote, and caesar salad pizzas. The elote was pretty crazy (in a good way), as was the caesar. They nailed it with the flavor. The drinks menu, meanwhile, wasn't as short - it read like a storybook, and the drinks were clever. They were pretty light and sweet. Will absolutely be back. read more

This is a premium dive bar in Santa Monica close to Venice and I really enjoyed the signage outside so I popped in to say hi and check it out, it's so cute! Not a lot of day drinking going on today, but it was fun nonetheless. I would come back here at night and hang. Everyone is very nice and happy to be here. read more

Fun vibey spot I would absolutely come back here with friends for a drink or a date night. Pizzas are really good especially the pepperoni & so are the cocktails! read more

I didn't eat here but I stopped by to have some drinks! But the food looks delicious, specifically the pizza. I had a dirty martini (could have been dirtier), but it is good! Overall, the ambiance is very chill and you just walk up to the bar and order and sit wherever you'd like on a Friday night (7pm). read more

Not No Bar - Drinking on the patio :) - Pizza Near Me - Santa Monica, California

Such a special spot! Love the classic speakers, you got a DJ spinning scrumpcious beats, and the kitchen is firing up some great plates...And the drinks....SLAM! Did I get all those descriptors mixed up? Music slams, kitchen is scrump....OH, this is creative writing, not grammarly. So, yes...tables are SCARSE! so you might stand and eat if you want, but here, the folks dance drink and drift. Super cool staff, and very nice atmos. Had the Aguachile pie, the Margherita, Salad pie, Clams, Tiramisu.....Let me take a moment folks....Tiramisu is not done right in MOST places, even claiming Italian. This dessert is one from Veneto, it is done with egg mostly yolk, espresso coffee, marcarpone cheese, and MARSALA WINE,...no sweet liquors or any other BS..its not supposed to be some sweet bomb dessert! Once you have it done right, and its fresh, you will see. This place out of so many I have tried actually does it right! Major points. We had a few other things linke Del Rancho, House of Learned Docs, and some Draft IPA. All solid, and some just great. read more

Not No Bar - inside - Pizza Near Me - Santa Monica, California

They are never open ‍. Showed up at 11:30 and they were closing / cleaning up. It's the second time in a row, I've experienced this. Irritating cause this place was a really good experience, when I went here. read more

Pizza is pretty good and the vibe, complete with a well-stocked bar including plenty of bourbon, is comfortable. A good sized pizza making space takes up most of the rest aside from the bar, and the rotation of pizzas are generally liberally sprinkled with toppings. Service is excellent, especially with Kent working the bar. Seating is maybe a half dozen or a little more at the bar, a decent sized high-top, some tables, and an outdoor patio that's probably nice in the summer. read more

Tried Not No Bar for the first time since hearing all the commotion about it! It's the newest little disco / cocktail bar in Santa Monica. The drinks are delicious and the pizza is amazing. Bartenders are also super friendly and helpful! My only real qualm is that its very limited seating (first come, first served) and while I know they say they're cocktails first, their pizza oven is literally in the middle of the bar. If you want to be able to come and seat and eat it, you basically have to come at opening or you're SOL because it gets competitive and packed. We got there early and had to check in with people as they were paying for their bill in order to get their seats which is always uncomfortable. But, I feel like they should prioritize tables for those who want to eat so they can? I'm fine to stand with a drink but its impossible to eat a pizza in a packed room with no table I think there's some kinks to be worked out here and I do think once they open their outdoor seating things will improve!!! read more

Great vibes and pizza, but knocking off a star because trying to get a table if you want to eat a pizza is kind of a nightmare. Unless you're a large group, it's a free for all at the bar for seating where there's I think 8 seats so you basically have to stand around and wait for someone to leave. We got here around 6:30 and it was pretty packed. We were lucky and got seats maybe 10-15 min after we got there. By the time we left around 8, there was a line of ~20 out the door. If you're coming for a drink, they have unique drinks and it's great but if you want to sit down and eat, it'll be hard... the pizzas were really good though!! read more

Beats, wine, & pizza - three of my favorite things. Now mix in a great ambiance, awesome art, and a cool bar and you somehow have an East side feel over here on the West side. I went with two friends, Maggie and Tara around 5:20 on Thursday and it was jammed. Maybe one seat at the bar open upon arrival and two booths. We opted for full service at the booth and Maya and Cutter were great servers. Usually, I'm NOT a sparkling girl but we went for a natty sparkling red & when they didn't have the preferred option, Cutter brought over another (pictured below and v tasty). We shared the bang bang pizza & the crudo, mostly because I was begging the girls for the crudo but next time, I'd get two pizzas.. even if it means paying 27-29 for a margarita or pepperoni with hot honey. read more

Great pizza, fun drink menu, good service especially for how busy it was. We were lucky to find a spot to sit. Loud inside. Had outdoor seating on the sidewalk in a little patio, not sure how the service was out there as I didn't see anyone going out there...but I'd go back read more

Pizzas and cocktails! We ordered a Beautiful & Nice and a coconut cocktail (I forgot the name but it's on one of the menu pages!) coconut cocktail was so good. Beautiful & Nice was so strong for my liking. Pizzas: we got a pear & Swiss + margarita with prosciutto (extra fee). I loved the pear & Swiss pizza, it was savory and the flavors melt so well. Love the relaxing vibe at this restaurant! read more

Happened upon this new pizzeria/cocktail bar on Main Street in Santa Monica, in the former Isla/Little Prince space. A large domed pizza oven dominates the space, toward the back. The pizzaiola tells us he uses walnut for the wood burning oven. He turns out great Neapolitan-style pizza. Had the Bang Bang, a pie with soppressata, peppers, onions & greens -- it was delicious! They have a clam pizza that I'll have to come back for. Full bar with some interesting cocktails -- another thing I'll have to come back for, since I stayed with the Creature Comforts lager on tap. Cool vibes, disco-y music, small and crowded. A fun place to be. read more

Somehow this spot is always popular, even on a monday or tuesday night! Not no bar gives off down to earth vibes while being a cocktail bar, and I love the open bar seating. Amazing spot! Love the vibe when entering and everything is reasonably priced. Perfect for a date night or to pregame for Main Street festivities. Love that they have new menu options every Monday to test for their menu and that they have Sunday night specials ($27 for steak frites and $10 for a dirty vodka martini!!!) The people were very helpful and friendly. Great suggestions with the honey comb dessert that was delicious. The honey comb and cookie are both made in house. Definitely coming back for their roasted tomato pizza and Tha beef pizza. All amazing! read more

This was my second time at Not No Bar!! On weekdays, you can get a table with a reservation. I tried the mezcal passionfruit cocktail and the elote pizza, and both were AMAZING! Our server was attentive as well! Great playlist if you enjoy alternative. Will definitely come back! read more

The workers here are so kind. My takeout order was ready very quickly and they gave me water while I waited. They also have canned sodas to go which made my evening! The margherita pizza was absolutely delicious. I want to come back and try other pizzas and other foods on the menu. The vibe inside is pretty cool and I will definitely be returning soon! read more

Amazing pizza. Bravo to the kitchen there for the quality toppings and the dough which is top notch.

I had two cocktails and a pizza. Staff was excellent. Asked the bartender about the wine selection and he offered up a glass he preferred and even described the varietal. Dude working the pizza oven was also a hoot. Joked with us while he worked, which was cool. Loved the exposed pizza oven and work station. Pizza was delightful. Vibe was good. First cocktail (king of the castle) was a good old fashion riff. I was not a fan of the second cocktail (ghost punch). It was a bit too medicinal. Otherwise a solid place to hang and fight for seats. read more

The staff were sooooo welcoming and nice. The food and drinks were great. I definitely recommend!

Clever place, naming and furniture.. Great pizza and ambiance. The cocktails are also swell.

The cuisine was exceptional, and the staff provided outstanding service, especially considering our last-minute arrival. For those seeking authentic cocktails, this establishment is highly recommended. Everything was fresh and meticulously prepared, contributing to a cozy and charming atmosphere. read more

Great pizzas. Awesome cocktails. Very much a bar that has food so be prepared (don't assume you're getting a booth)

Make sure to pay attention to your bill. We were charged for a drink we did not order and told the waiter 3 separate times we did not order. Cocktails are really good though. read more

The place is really cute and a vibe! My friend who lives in the area said they needed this. Crudo was delicious and so was the pizza. Creative cocktails too! I will say this places system is awful and annoying for anyone trying to join for a sit down dinner. It's really hands off and is a fight for the death for a table. They also don't regulate people occupying the tables so people are jerks and linger while others are trying to get service. They need a hostess and time limits. The system itself would keep me from coming because you wait around in a crammed place. Maybe it's more of a late night place? read more

Not No Bar - Pizza Near Me - Santa Monica, California

Completely disappointed in the service I experienced this evening during my first visit to Not No Bar. I discovered this bar on ig and was very eager to try it out. I made reservations for 2, hightop seating. Upon my arrival I was seated near the door against a counter. The restaurant wasn't full so I asked the server if I could be seated at the hightop table behind me. Before I could even finish my sentence the server, some guy (idk, we didn't make it that far) began to tell he wasn't sure if he could make that happen in an attempt to manage my expectations. We had a bit of a back and forth that ended with me saying could you just see and let me know. The server goes to speak with the host/bartender. They chat for a bit, I assume trying to help me. The server walks a way and starts tending to other tables. While I wait to see if I can move seats. A party of two women come to the bar, the host ask do you have reservations, they say no. She the seats them at a booth. I was told by my server the booths were reserved for parties of 4 only. I was shocked, why didn't I get this option?! So I continued to wait for my server to come back to let me know if I could move or not. While waiting another party arrives, two guys this time. The host ask do you have a reservation, the guys respond no. She then say that's okay I can seat you at this table, pointing at the table I originally asked my server to move me too. At this point I'm feeling uneasy, disappointed, and confused. While I continue to wait for my server another party comes in, this time a guy and a girl. They don't have reservations and they are sat at the communal table. Another option that I explained to my server that I would prefer than my current seating arrangement. At this point I'm mad. The server finally approaches me and I point out all the things explained in this review and his response was let be check with the server as I'm sure there's reason. But what would be the reason?! I felt like they didn't want to help me I felt like they didn't care to help me bc after he said that he went to help another table. He didn't go speak with the server. Being the only black patron in the bar I felt like I was discriminated against. Once my guest arrived and I shared with her what happened she said let's go. I didn't deserve to be treated like that. We walked out and will never return. I wouldn't wish that type of experience on anyone. read more

As a New Englander, I know a clam pizza when I see one, New Haven has been rated the best pizza in the US for that specific pie. That being said, outside of New England, this is the best clam pizza I've had. Also, just pizza in general. Their crust and body are firm but chewy enough that its perfection is an afterthought to the clam and cheese flavors that permeate the rest of the pie. Can't wait to try the Italian sausage version or even the artichoke because they wood fire them for that smoky flavor. Love it! read more

Friend and I came on Monday, early evening. Found seats with no problem. Probably the most interesting cocktail menu I've seen in a while. Each of us had 2 different drinks, 4 total, all were outstanding. Sent our complements to the bartender, and he came over and chatted with us about the cocktails we ordered. Incredibly friendly staff, servers. Pizza(s) were great. Very cool mellow mood on a Monday, just what you want your neighborhood bar to be. read more

I liked the food at this place but the service was so bad. They decided to tell us the rules for tables AFTER we were already waiting an hour for a booth. After trying to understand the point of view of the server, the waiters decided to be rude to us. It is basically hunger games waiting for a table and the servers are very selective with who they allow to break the rules. Don't waste your time here. This place could use more organization. read more

Damn fire vibes fun ass place but the bartenders succkkkkkk bad attitude bad drinks high prices. Good place to bring the boys tho

It's Not No, but it's also Not Always Yea. 5 stars for the bar service 4 stars for the pizza 3 stars for the comfort and seating availability This is a bar that serves pizza. Expect your usual Main St. crowd, fun atmosphere, high energy. It's hardly a restaurant, but as long as that's what you're going for, it's a good time. Usually standing room only on the weekends.
