    Ashland Wings (6)

Right off of a main road in Santa Monica with lots of shopping and other things to do, this spot is situated perfectly for a quick break to eat and have a drink (or a few). Very walk-able area and much people watching. I don't think I saw an option to eat inside but there's plenty space out on the sidewalk and parking lot with tables set up. The service was good. I ordered the chicken wings which were tasty. I find it rare that wings are cooked to perfection and this was no exception. Under-cooking chicken is a real risk so I understand over-cooking but it wasn't so overcooked that it was lacking in flavor or taste.

Got one of each flavor of the Tacos Tacos Tacos and the fish was definitely the best one. Did not love the falafel taco and the bulgogi was a bit chewy. Fries were sooo good, loved the seasoning and it came with so much. The employees were very nice and there is plenty of seating

Decent spot for a burger! Not my favorite I've had but it's good if you're in the area and want a quick burger. I think mine was a little overcooked on how I'd prefer it but it was still good. I really liked the fries. The ahi tuna tacos were really good just a tad bit salty. The drinks here are okay. It's a nice vibe to sit and chill.

Nice brunch spot, enjoyed their sunny patio. It's very casual and a wide selection of food items. You order at the counter and they bring food/drinks to your table. I had the ashland hash, it was good but a bit heavy on the potatoes, I wish there was more meat instead

I was looking for a salad and my partner wanted a burger and Sunday Night football so dropping in to this place was right on point. I added chicken to the generously portioned avocado Caesar salad and enjoyed the oversized onion rings as well. Service is quick casual, order at the sidewalk window and walk back into the dog friendly covered heated patio with TV and/or playlist. Paired our meals with local beers on draft, but the wines by the glass would have been a good choice too.

Walking Main Street on a Sunday afternoon we finally decided to give this place a try. We were actually planning on eating at The Galley but it wasn't open yet and we were craving Fish and Chips. Glad we found Ashland Hill! Their Fish and Chips were so tasty. The battered fish was really good, albeit slightly greasy (could have been left to drain another minute before serving). The Parmesan Fries were perfect. We had the Bloody Mary's which were some of the best we've found in a long time. Artfully garnished and flavorful. Years ago we used to eat here when it was Wildflour Pizza. We loved that Ashland Hill retained the same casual, comfortable atmosphere that we had enjoyed so many years ago. They have a full bar and and extensive menu that should satisfy everyone. I recommend giving them a try.

Recently stumbled across this place while taking an after dinner stroll on Main St. I love how we were able to casually walk up to the window and order a good glass of wine. Plenty of outdoor seating on the sidewalk and patio. Friendly service. Great for a date or time with friends.

6:30pm on a saturday night, no lines. Order at the front counter, pay, grab your number and find a seat. My BF and I ordered 2 burgers (one beef and one turkey... hold the fries). The beef was juicy and perfectly red, medium rare, with the right amount of sharp cheese, tomato, caramelized onions and their special sauce. Turkey burger seemed like a defrosted turkey patty, but the toppings made up for any shortcomings with coleslaw, pickled onions, peppers and cheese, the menu said goat cheese but I swore it tasted like feta...no matter what it was.. it was great burger on a drizzly saturday night.

I love Ashland Hill and have been here a number of times. It is a great place to bring friends and family visiting the Santa Monica area. The drinks are great, the food is all delicious, and the extended seating options always make for a great time! Food - I have tried the fish tacos and the Caesar salad, as well as the burger. All delicious options! I really enjoy the fish tacos and tend to gravitate towards those every time I visit. Portion size is very good and you will definitely feel full going there for lunch! Drinks are great, I have tried a number of the different cocktails and there are also beer options as well. Service - You order at the counter and then take a number to your table of choice. Everyone who works here has always been very friendly and accommodating! Ambiance - The patio seating in the back is great for large groups. TVs allow for a great spot to grab a bite and watch a game! There is additional seating along Main St. Sometimes there is music as well but not too loud! The location is perfect if you are spending the day at the beach or anywhere in the West LA area.

When it says "locals only" I think they mean it. We walked by and saw it had outside seating. And it was a nice day. We got a salad and the chicken and waffles. Both were ok food wise. Not amazing but not bad. The service wasn't great though. Overall the person that took our order and who brought out the food were unfriendly. Wouldn't go again. It kinda of seems like they didn't want out of town people.

Read you have foods offer for puppies / dogs. Wondering if that 'menu for dogs' is available all day long or only certain day/ days of the month?

I haven't seen an official dog menu from them since COVID hit. However, they still seem more than happy to prepare items that were formally on the menu... and actually just ordered a hamburger patty over rice for our dog last night (she loved it as… Read more

    Are dogs allowed?

Yes, we brought our dogs in the back patio.

Do they have gluten free options?

Absolutely! Plenty of them and all indicated as such on the menu both in the restaurant and on our website.

Does this place have bottomless mimosas?

We don't offer bottomles mimosas at Ashland Hill... Our sister restaurant Margo's on Montana does!

Don't make my almost mistake. First win: there's actually a solid sized parking lot. That alone deserves a shoutout. The food selection was way better than expected for a brewery. Not just the usual giant pretzels and mediocre bar food, they've got real options. Everything came out fast, hot, and really good. The pizza surprised me (in a good way), and the lemon pepper chicken hit exactly how it should without being overly greasy. Plenty of good beer choices, the service was great and the outdoor seating at sunset is a whole vibe. Also dog friendly, which made it even better, lots of cute pups around. And a random but fun touch: there's a vending machine with games and even a photo booth. Brewery done right.

They'd been here before and let us know that things fill up fast mostly on these hot weather days in SoCal but there was still a good amount of seating. I would say by 3 pm it was pretty packed. Small parking lot, we got lucky with exiting parties. Food was better than expected ! Pizza was great, we had the Hawaiian, margarita, and spicy pepperoni with hot honey. Can't complain, all with a thick crust, fav was Hawaiian bc of the sweet tangy pineapple. Wings are bonus, I liked lemon pepper more than the saucy ones. Brews had a nice selection - they had fun flavors like pistachio, cucumber and guava. We did flights and overall, enjoyed it. Would come back!

We were daunted by the 1.5 hr drive to where we were staying and hoped that eating closer would save some time later. It did! Rasselbock is a bit hidden away but we found it with street metered parking nearby. We had arranged for a reservation but we hardly needed it. The place was mostly empty when we arrived. Music was thumping, and not German music. It was classic rock but a touch too loud. So keep that in mind. I appreciated that they had Erdinger beer. That's some of the best beer around. I chose the non alcoholic since I had a drive ahead. I was told it might not be cold enough and the server brought me the bottle to sample it by touch. I cheerfully noted Germans don't drink very cold beer and it was fine. My wife and I ordered schnitzels, she chicken and I pork. She had the Oma's potato salad - which with mustard and mayo really would not have passed muster with a real Oma like mine. She reported it was good anyway. I had spaetzle and cucumber dill salad. The kids both had a bratwurst, salad and fries. On the whole the schnitzels were good. Not entirely authentic but USA-good enough. I'd say the same for my spaetzle and salad. One kid liked the bratwurst, one didn't. I found what I tried of the sausage to be pretty good. The stone ground mustard was particularly good. Service was a little slow to start but the food came quickly and we were off. A 4.2 rounds to a flat 4. German food is hard to come by anywhere, so I welcome it. Especially with a good selection of beer. They serve multiple sizes included a liter "mass." Sounds great but I think those days are behind me. Definitely worth a try.
