The restaurant has two parts to it and the dinner service area is cute and cozy with a French cafe-like vibe in its decor. The crab cake was good- more crab than filler which is how we like it. The shiitake was not overpowering in the pasta and the white wine sauce was nice and light. The ahi crudo was also tart and refreshing. Loved how many fresh vegetables were in each dish. My friend said, oh I bought you 2 your favorite chocolate croissant from Lunetta. Oh mine, these turned out to be the worst croissant I ever had ( worse than those cheap croissant from Vons )!! I came here midday on a Tuesday, and it was extremely quiet although about 30 minutes after we arrived it started slowly getting busier. Busy place would seem is a norm for this venue. We had a very relaxing plunge, and we did not feel like we were being rushed out and received great service all along the way. I think the main entrance is in the back, facing the parking lot which is a decent size. They have an outdoor seating structure, completely shaded, in the parking lot as well as some tables on their patio. We didn't see much of the inside except for the bathrooms because we chose to sit on the patio which was the perfect option for us. The sun started to get a bit more intense so they opened large blue patio umbrellas to protect us which was very nice. I decided to get the crispy jidori chicken & pancakes ($24) while the rest of the group got the two+two+two, OG breakfast sandwich, and eggs Benedict. They also got 2 coffees and Bloody Mary. Everything was out quickly since we were some of the first guests. The chicken wasn't completely crispy all over because of the marinated peppers but had great flavor. It went well with the syrup and melted butter. Everyone was satisfied with their meals. A lovely brunch spot! I would be interested in seeing their dinner menu sometime as well. Their chic wooden aesthetic really dresses the space up and staff was very personable and courteous. We were greeted promptly, sat, and even had the umbrellas adjusted for us to avoid too much direct sun. The food and drinks are certainly tasty but do be aware there, menu prices are a bit on the higher end given circumstances and environment. My Bloody Mary came out and was plenty spicy, tomato taste with some fresh green crunches and an olive. It was strong liquor and had been made well for my idea of the perfect starting treat for a brunch with friends. We all had enjoyed our drinks and food. This place is a hidden gem in an unexpecting parking lot next door to a Rite Aid. The food was EXCEPTIONAL and we didn't even realize there was a whole indoor section with cozy seating and inviting ambiance (we sat outside on the lovely patio). The grilled artichoke and sourdough with truffle butter were the stars of the show, but the hanger steak frites were also incredible and so tender. The head chef/owner personally thanked us and even gave us a little walkthrough of the whole restaurant. We were treated like regulars even though it was our first time there. What a lovely venue with so much outdoor seating... The weather yesterday was a bit chilly, so my pal Jack and I dined inside. I had the chopped vegetable salad with grilled chicken atop of it. The best chopped salad I've ever had, seriously!!! I am a big fan of a chopped salad and have never found one that was better. Jack had the salmon sandwich, and he was blown away by the nuanced spices. He loved that this sandwich was so delicious and different than usual. We had a wonderful repast together. The waitstaff is superb and the manager was so lovely and attentive. To be honest, dining here, even at lunch was a bit pricey. However, they do have an interesting "specials of the day" menu for lunch that you could share with someone. ( a complete meal including dessert that intrigued me). I definitely will return to try. We got: - potato chips & shallot dip app: Dip is fine, but chips are really weak and break as soon as you try to pick up dip - Chicken sandwich: Looked good, absolutely flavorless - Ahi Nicoise salad: Had a lot going on, and was served across 2 plates, which made for a very confusing moment - Salmon Sandwich: fine It was just a very disappointing meal, and the environment just felt like a slow descent into eventually closing. This was a great brunch spot to meet up with one of my friends when I was in town visiting! It was a super fun vibe and well decorated. I also really liked how this establishment had an outdoors area for additional seating and to enjoy nicer days. Food was also delicious! I had never seen egg yolks this color of orange before but apparently it's because the product is more natural and healthier for you. Prices were a little steep, but nothing out of reason for the area. Our server, Brian, was also very pleasant and attentive to our needs. Easily one of the best breakfasts that I have had in Santa Monica. I have pretty much been everywhere so that's really saying something. There's a lot about this place that I really like. First the food quality is great. Our server was extremely polite and very attentive. They have a free giant parking lot in the back, and plenty of seating inside. We sat at the bar because all the dining tables were taken, but it was still a really nice experience. They don't have a very large menu, but they do have a lot of great choices on it. Lunetta At Night shares the same roof, but is next-door. I plan to be back in the near future to try it because their breakfast was that good. I started off with a Cappuccino, and it was terrific. Strong and flavorful just like I like it. I chose the Eggs Benedict for my entrée and honestly really loved it. I got a side of the chipotle aïoli, and it was a great combination with the mini potatoes. I especially liked how the ham is shaved instead of a thicker Virginia type ham. I thought it was great and I would order it again. Overall a great breakfast option in Santa Monica with extremely easy parking. We only ordered happy hour bites, starting with the ahi tuna crudo. I was confused because crudo is raw fish, but this came seared? It was still delicious I was just confused. Next we had the baked brie which was really good. The salmon tacos were way better than I expected them to be, the sauces on it were delish. I will say, the parking lot in the back fills up fast and I had to circle around for parking for a long time in order to score a spot, but it was worth it. I took a seat on the lovely patio, which has plenty of shade on a hot day, and ordered the TWO + TWO + TWO (eggs any style, lemon ricotta pancakes, almonds, thick-cut bacon, blueberry butter, pure maple syrup) and it was AMAZING. Met a client here for lunch. It gets really busy so definitely make a reservation. I had the Grilled Chopped Salad ($19) and my client had the Caesar with an add-on of salmon ($29). Both salads were good and the portions were very large. Service was fast. We were seated in an area of the parking lot that is covered for outdoor dining. It wasn't loud or uncomfortable. With a portion of the parking lot being taken over for dining, it's not likely that you'll find a spot in what remains of the lot. Street parking is your best bet. read more

Wowwww lunetta 4+4 ateeeee tonight. We came here for our 6 year anniversary. We usually go to fogo de chao in mid city, but we recently got a dog so we were looking for outdoor pet friendly restaurants. Lunetta has an outdoor patio then two astroturf sections for the pups. Tonight there were three big dogs. 2 cane corsos and 1 golden retriever. All of the dogs were quiet and well behaved. There was plenty of space for the dogs to be separated. We ordered the steak for two entree and the calamari. Calamari was a great way to start off our dinner. It was light, crispy, fresh, and not rubbery. It was served with a marinara sauce and black garlic aioli. My partner hates mayo but he scarfed down that aioli! The steak for two came with the steak, Brussel sprouts, onion rings, potato gratin and cognac sauce. The steak with cognac sauce was deep and sexy. The medium rare steak melted in our mouths and was seasoned perfectly (not too salty). The Brussel sprouts were tender and the sauce it was tossed in caramelized on top. The onion rings were gourmet. They didn't taste frozen at all. We've never had fresh, not frozen, onion rings. The batter was light and crisp. It reminded me of a thin beer batter. The potato gratin was rich and creamy. If you're not a cheesy person, I'd probably sub. I devoured them and my partner focused on everything else. Parking was ample. There was plenty of seating. We reserved 6:15PM on a Saturday night and didn't have to wait to be seated. The staff was accommodating and welcoming to the dog families. I really appreciated the space between tables and how the host noticed we were next to be seated when a couple cut in front of us last minute. We will definitely be back! read more
