Very Disappointing Experience -- Concerns About Racial Discrimination I visited Zinqué in West Hollywood today for brunch with my friends, and what we experienced was honestly upsetting. When we arrived, there were clearly available tables outside, but the host directed us inside without even asking if we preferred indoor or outdoor seating. At first, we didn't think much of it. But then we noticed that everyone seated outside appeared to be white, while we were the only Asian customers at the time. Later, another Asian couple and a Black couple arrived, and both were seated inside, just like us. What made this even more concerning was that shortly afterward, a white couple walked in and was immediately seated outside. At that point, it was extremely difficult to ignore what appeared to be a pattern in how customers were being seated. Why were the Asian and Black customers directed inside while white customers were seated outside? I cannot say for certain whether this was intentional racial discrimination, but the experience certainly made us feel that we were being treated differently because of our race. We felt uncomfortable, singled out, and unwelcome. I'm sharing this experience because I believe other customers deserve to know what happened. No one should have to question whether their race determines where they get to sit at a restaurant. I sincerely hope management takes this seriously and provides an explanation for how seating decisions are made at this location.

Very cute spot for a drink in WeHo. Great wine list. However, the service is a bit snobbish and I wish the indoor setup is better. I'd go check out their other locations or come back if I'm with a friend.

Almond milk Iced Latte. Yes!

Nice combination of indoor and outdoor seating, all shaded and spaced nicely so it's not loud. The indoor areas are also open and airy. I went there for lunch. I have the grass-fed burger. $21. It came with an abundance of shoestring fries that were perfectly cooked. The burger was nice and juicy, the bun properly warmed, and the special sauce they use has the perfect amount of snap. Great burger approved! Our food orders came out to us in no time at all. Can't believe how fast they were and what great care they put into the food. I'm not a coffee snob or expert in any way, but this is the best iced latte I've ever had! Great presentation, too! I'm not sure what brand of coffee it is, but it's a specialty brand, and it's a good one! Service was OK. Our server took our orders and was very pleasant, but didn't come back to check on us. Our water bottles were empty but not refilled. They have a QR code payment system, making it super easy to split the bill. I will certainly be back for some more of that great coffee!

The burrata and a prosciutto dish, though tasty, could've been more flavorful. The baguette was very nicely toasted. Potato gratin presentation looked sloppy, but the cheesey gooey goodness won me over. Short rib was a little tough in parts. The husband's moules frites were impressive. The size was of the shellfish was quite noticeable. Service was largely absent. Thoughtfully curated wine list.

Thought this was a solid lunch spot. Went with my cousins to catch up over some French food. Food was good, not spectacular. I would come back to enjoy the patio area again. It wasn't too busy during lunchtime when we went and I enjoyed the outdoor experience. Parking is a bit rough to find though, as expected. Steak and frites, 8.3/10: Classic dish. The sirloin (I think) was very tender and was cooked appropriately medium-midrare. You can see in the photo it's got a nice sear and it was seasoned nicely. I particularly liked the herbacious chimichurri sauce paired with the steak. Fries were mcdonald's-esque in a good way, but slightly less greasy and more fresh. Gotta go fries in the ketchup and the mayo. Mayo and fries is underrated.

SAFFRON RICE BITES* (GF) ahi tuna, spicy mayo, avocado, jalapeño, smoked trout roe

We were in LA for a few different reasons but were able to stop by a friend's book signing event down the street from this restaurant. We had the Saffron Rice Bites and Rigatoni Bolognese, and both dishes were great! The Saffron Rice Bites had ahi tuna, spicy mayo, avocado, jalapeño, and smoked trout roe. The highlight was definitely the crispy saffron rice underneath, which had a perfect crunch that complemented the fresh ingredients. Each bite was a delightful mix of flavors and textures, making it a standout dish. As for the Rigatoni Bolognese, it was a hearty and rich option made with grass-fed beef and topped with grated Parmigiano Reggiano; we asked for extra cheese. We dove into it so quickly that I forgot to snap a photo! The flavors were robust and comforting, making it an ideal choice for a chilly day. Speaking of the weather, the staff was incredibly attentive. When we mentioned feeling a bit cold, they promptly switched out a propane tank to make sure we were cozy. It was very thoughtful.

Steak Frites with Chimichurri Sauce

We had lunch today after watching parade. We started with fresh brewed coffee and mimosas, which were a great way to begin the meal. We both ordered the Steak Frites cooked medium rare, and they were excellent. The steaks were perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful, and exactly as ordered. The fries were crispy and delicious, especially when paired with the chimichurri sauce, which added the perfect amount of freshness and flavor. We chose to sit outside with our dog and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and provided great service throughout the meal. The only downside was an interaction with the hostess. It was a warm day, and I briefly had my dog sitting on my lap while trying to help him cool down. She came to our table and rather abruptly told me to put my dog back on the floor. While I understand restaurant policies must be followed, the situation could have been handled in a much friendlier and more professional manner without being rude and giving an attitude. That said, the food was excellent, the patio was enjoyable, and our waiter helped make the experience a positive one. We'd definitely come back for the Steak Frites alone!

Seriously SO GOOD! Everything is so well made. I always feel full, yet light after eating here. I shared three things with my mom and we loved it! We had the leek quiche, overnight oats, and smoked salmon toast, all fantastic. Nice decor and vibes around the restaurant. I also like that you order and pay up front, makes things easy!

Beautiful spot! As many times as I've driven by, I've always missed coming here until September 2025 meeting a friend for lunch! Parking as you can imagine, is tricky so park for free from 7-7pm on San Vicente. It's the first business around the corner. Beautiful patio, gorgeous ambiance and our waiter was the sweetest: we never felt rushed or anything. Just so easy going as my friend and I caught up for two hours! I had the Baklava latte which was ok. Maybe I expected more flavor, but I tasted like...a latte, ha! It's ok, I love them. I know plate portions could be small and this was my first meal of the day so I needed something sustainable and the Quinoa Burrito with bacon hit the spot. There was even a certain sweetness to it that I am obsessed with! Definitely worth coming back for. I'd definitely brave the parking to come back. It's great to meet friends, one friend or have a date here. I'd even come here for a business meal. Great vibe, keep it up!

Exquisite cozy, romantic, wine bar vibe, beautifully-appointed, and a first-class menu offering salmon, salads, sandwiches, curry, pasta, chicken, veggies, tapas - all for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner til late. Huge selection of wines, beers, bubbles and cocktails, as well as coffees, teas, and juices. Very popular, especially at weekend. Reservations strongly advised.

This restaurant caught my eye with the pretty neon sign and cute outdoor seating. The dining area is cozy and our server was amazing at explaining the dishes and drinks, and was super friendly. Their cocktails all use a stronger wine as the base, which I thought was so unique and they all tasted great! The food was also amazing, the burrata was a standout to me, along with the shrimp and the pork taco. Would definitely come back!

The food is tasty, though fairly standard. The service is good--there were no issues--and the atmosphere is pleasant! Not bad

This is based off a door dash order. Typically, delivery lessens the overall temp, flavor, etc by the time it reaches your door. But everything i had was fantastic. I ordered 1) steak frites, 2) japanese sweet potato, 3) proscuitto burratta. The steak temp obviously is impacted by delivery. Yet still tender n the fries were good. Probably wouldnt order delivery of this again though. Its a thing you should only eat at the restaurant. Now on to the goodies. The japanese sweet potatoes on a bed of sour cream olive oil and some tyoe of nuts (maybe pine nuts?). Super super good. The proscuitto n burratta is something i order from everywhere, but their proscuitto had really good umami and the cheese was super soft and good. It must be imported. Awesome. Im ordering again when in the mood for tasty food to have with some wine at home.

Ask the Community - Zinqué

A couple months ago, I think they were remodeling. Does anyone know if they're done? I tried calling, but it goes straight to vmail, Yelp says they're open. I drove by, sidewalk patio is gone and gate entrance looks closed.

Hi Kristy. We have reopened our WeHo location as of Saturday, August 11.

How are they operating during COVID?

They seem to be following all the rules. Waitstaff is equipped with shields and masks. Tables are all outdoors and are 6 ft apart. Tables are disinfected between guests. I felt safe the 2 times we dined there

When is Happy hour?

Happy hour is 4pm-6:30pm, Monday through Friday!

Do they have valet during the day?

Nope

Is this a good place to work?

Yes if you like having some background noise. I've seen people work at the bar or at tables outside. If you want complete silence, it will not be good, but if you don't mind people speaking around you it's nice.

How are the portion sizes?

Average .. enough to make you full .

There is a cute little bar and a cozy space with the perfect amount of tables inside. There is also a wonderful patio with plenty of outdoor seating. Our waiter, Lokahi, took such great care of us and was so warm, friendly and helpful with his suggestions.... But I have to say, I think that no matter what we ordered, it would have been great! We started with the little gem Caesar salad, the brussel sprouts and the patatas bravas... all were sooooo good! The salad was simple, crispy and fresh with delicious tomatoes, the perfect amount of Parmesan, and a superb Caesar dressing. The patatas bravas was equally as good - slightly crispy potatoes with a great tomato sauce that had a hint of spice and was incredibly flavorful! And the brussel sprouts were perfect - not oily, plenty of flavor and overall rounded out our apps perfectly. For dinner we each had the Salt Spring Mussels with a side of fries to share... the mussels were amazing, the broth delicious and the side of bread that they serve with them is the perfect addition to soak up all the savory broth. The fries were cooked perfectly and were seasoned just right! I have to say that Melanie is without a doubt one of the best dinner experiences that we have had in our 11 years of being in LA. From the food and service to the overall experience, I would give Melanie 10 stars if I could. Needless to say, I would HIGHLY recommend Melanie as I know that you will have an amazing meal with equally top notch service as well! We will 100% be coming back again and again!!!

I didn't make it here until March 2026 and after my first visit, I'm sorry I didn't come earlier. My husband and I came here on a Sunday night, with a last minute reservation I'd made on Resy. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we came in around 5:30ish. A lot of the tables were empty. They had both indoor and outdoor dining available, but the majority of the seats were indoor. The ambiance here is dark and chic, it reminded me very much of restaurants in NYC. It would make for a good spot for a date night or girls' night out. We made it here in time to order one thing from their happy hour menu, the tater tots. These were heavy but moreish, it was hard to stop eating them even when my stomach was telling me I was full. We also shared the corn, which I believe may have been a special/seasonal dish. It will go down as one of the best corn dishes I've ever eaten in a restaurant. My husband got the burger for his main and I got the mussels. The mussels were pretty fresh and silky, and were overall excellent, but I didn't love the broth they came in. My husband's burger was fantastic. It's one of the best burgers I've eaten at a restaurant in LA. Service was lovely and efficient. I'm looking forward to dining here again, and would highly recommend trying it.

I ordered an Angry Orchard Cider and my friend ordered one of their Espress-OR Martinis. It looked great but it was strong! If you are an espresso martini fan who likes this style of drink, you will probably enjoy it. There are metered spaces behind the bar and there is also residential street parking nearby if you pay attention to the posted signs. Tip for first-timers: go when you can have the brunch or the lunch menu. Then you'll have so many options that you'll have to return! Round 1 Polpettine (meatballs) are made from lentils and texture similar to the real ones; lovely marinara sauce and ground macadamia nut instead of parmesan. Complement this with the citrus notes that highlight the sauteed swiss chard with earthy Italian butter / gigante beans. Round 2 The same beans are in the Greek goddess salad: rich with tomatoes, kalamata olives, and fresh red onions. This was a visually stunning and paired well with the Sicilian almond 'tuna' melt. The tuna is by far the most imaginative. Again, Chef Tara and the back of the house nailed the texture and I loved the hints of crunchy celery. The capers injected tiny bursts of salt and tartness. The only moderation I'd consider is slightly crisping / toasting the sandwich bread -- but the tuna melt sando is great as it is. Pura Vida is a diamond in the rough especially because the storefront is pretty discreet. I sure wish that we lived closer. We'll be back for special occasions in our life!
