Tried it for the first time with friends and one thing is for sure, it's a vibe. Small space but a lot going on and a good spot to hang out and catch up. Definitely recommend reservations. We went on a Saturday evening and the indoor seating is limited and the outdoor area was crowded to the point where it was hard to move around. We came for the wine and the service really stood out. Our server took the time to understand what we like and gave great recommendations without making us feel out of place. Food we shared: Cacio e pepe torchio, olives, charcuterie board, and hamachi crudo. Everything was good, portions are small and price is on the higher side. Didn't get many photos because we enjoyed our experience. Parking is tough in the area, so I'd recommend carpooling if you can.

The worst service and mediocre food. The hostess with the short hair was so incredibly rude. They messed up our reservation so we were left waiting for almost an hour before we got a table. She had an attitude when we were clearly upset and tried blaming us for their mistake. You're also literally eating on the sidewalk and people are bartering for chairs and tables. We needed one more table to make our group comfortable and they literally said no and gave it to someone who had a much later reservation than us. It's super disorganized and messy, yet has a weird air of pretentiousness that the food nor service measures up to. You couldn't pay me to come back.

10/10 but tiny. The space is definitely intimate (a bit cramped) but the energy is great. Wine: Solid selection. Whether you're going by the glass or the bottle, you can't go wrong. Crudo: Thick cuts, super fresh. 10/10. Burrata: Perfectly made. Creamy and high-quality. Bread with Pickles: This dish was the dark horse. Surprisingly delicious! Anchovy Salad: A flavor bomb. Must-order. Pasta: Executed to perfection. Service was good! If you don't mind the tight space, the food and wine will more than make up for it. Everything we ordered was a hit.

Bar Seco? More like Bar So Good :) This place was such a vibe! The space is small but lively, making it the perfect spot to hang out, catch up, and snack on apps with drinks in hand. The energy really shines through, and I think a big part of my experience came from the staff- our waitress Alexis and her coworkers were attentive, friendly, and genuinely sweet, whch made the place feel welcoming! Food & Drinks highlights: *Bluefin tostada was by far my favorite!it was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely the star of the table *Spicy vodka strozzapreti had a slight crunch on the outside and was soft on the inside, with a legit kick. Honestly, this might be the first time the word "spicy" in a pasta dish truly lived up to its name but without going overboard *Cheese board was a fun experience! Guessing the cheeses and playing around with different pairings made it interactive and delicious. *Good Boy sparkling wine was super refreshing! It's essentially wine cooler vibes with hints of blackberry and lime Parking, like most spots in LA, is limited. They do have a metered spot out front but based on the time and day you're going, it might be difficult to find a spot. But overall, Bar Seco is a great spot if you're looking for good food, solid drinks, and a fun, intimate atmosphere. Definitely a place I'd come back to try more menu items!

Small wine bar in silverlake. They let us try different wines to make sure we liked it before getting a glass. Their food menu looked really good as well, will definitely be back to try their food and apps!

It's dimly lit with limited bar seatings. Real candles, lots of wine. Appetizers and food was below average. - Wines The wines were pretty pricey for a glass. The recommendations are nice. - Oysters 4.7/5 Tastes fresh and yummy. Got a bit of rocks but that's ok. - Burrata Cheese 5/5 This was so delicious. The cheese with the ikura was a perfect pair. [RECOMMEND] - Ham sliders? 1.6/5 Sad small pieces of ham on a thick piece of bread. AVOID. - Tuna tostada 3.7/5 Tasted yummy, basic tuna toasts with avocado. - Mushroom tostada 2.7/5 A bit too oily for me but tastes good. Parking was hard to find. Street parking, pay attention to the signs.

    Hamachi crudo

The hamachi crudo is all I ever think about. It has yuzu, brown butter, and lime and is just so flavorful. I have also tried and enjoyed the blue fin tuna tostada. Just be mindful, parking is not always easy in this area and some of the items on the menu can be pricey.

Incredible ambience (deep warm lighting, beautiful florals and artwork) and lovely snacks/wine. We tried the spiced marcona almonds, jamon plate, and sourdough with lemon butter - all satisfying little bites to go with our drinks. I tried a Chardonnay from Slow Dance and true to the name, it was just a bright and crisp white, not too dry and not too sweet. Would recommend making a reservation as there's limited seating!

cute wine bar spot! i love the aesthetic. for weekend nights, i highly recommend having a reservation. this place gets packed, even the outdoor seating on the sidewalks were filled to the brim. i'm not a big wine person so i wanted to go to this place to be able to taste some & figure out if im a white or red wine girlie. i enjoyed the RAIZ & MONOCHROMO the most out of the white wines. for food, we ordered the charcuterie board, sourbread with lemon butter (for the carbs lol), & the bluefin tuna tostada. my personal favorite was the bluefin tuna tostada. on the pricier side, but not surprising for an aesthetic place in LA to be honest. service was great, the workers were attentive & super friendly with us, letting us sample different wines so we could decide which to get a full glass of. they were nice to even give us some extra sips! the biggest thing that would stop me from returning, which is in no fault of the establishment itself, is the parking situation. as you may know, parallel parking in silverlake on sunset is not for the weak hearted. i found it awkward & stressful to park right in front of seco - since they have so much sidewalk seating i was literally interrupting someone's dinner with my reverse lights all up by their table. i would recommend parking in the smaller streets a couple blocks down or across if possible to avoid the stress.

A pretty small place that serves wines and pastries. A lot of information is missing from their website and because they're so small there was only one person working when we went. We tried to order a rose but they were out so we opted for some sparkling red wine which I've never had before. The wine isn't cheap but you'll find cool things like that that you've never seen before. Honestly the place smelled sterile in a not great way. The server was friendly but it took a while to be served. Overall, I feel like they could use some work but has a lot of promise!

Food: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance 9/10 GET A RESERVATION for this place. Super cute. They just opened but they are PACKED, especially because they are small. But I had a great time here with my friends. Loved the vibes and the bartender was so kind and catering! They are really busy so be aware!

I could not love Barr Seco more! From the food, to the amazing service, and the chill vibe, I've got a new favorite spot! Only complaint is they were out of a few of the listed dishes (my table was at 5:30p), but everything that I did have was pretty amazing! This is a Japanese and Mexico City inspired small plates and wine bar from the people that brought you Santo (Sushi directly next door). Below is what was tried: Blue Fin Tuna Tostada - 5+ Stars. Favorite dish of the night. The tuna was fresh and rich in flavor and reminded me of a dish I get when in Mexico City. Hamachi Crudo - 5+ Stars. Absolute heaven! The hamachi is served in this brown butter and citrus sauce which is best absorbed with the tasty Bub & Grandma's bread they serve here. Endive Caesar Salad - 4 1/2 Stars. Rich in flavor, so fresh, and very tasty. Spicy Vodka Strozzapreti - 4 Stars. Interesting interpretation of a spicy vodka pasta, this definitely delivered the heat! Wine Selection - 5 Stars. So many different options, and all so tasty! I can't wait to go back. The sidewalk turns into a block party at night, and have even driven by and seen people tailgating in a parking spot in front (kind of odd, but ok)

Our waiter was kind enough to let us sample the three whites they had rotating that night so we could pick what we wanted. I ended up going with a nice Georgian white. And now for the food! Cucumber and pomegranate salad (5/5) - it was fresh, crisp, and very well flavored with the fresh herbs. Ghormeh sabzi with rice (3.5/5) - flavor wise it was delicious, it reminded me of my grandma's ghormeh sabzi. Kidney beans were a bit undercooked. Rice was fluffy and well cooked. Tahchin with chicken (3.5/5) - flavor was good, I think it could have used a bit more seasoning and the rice was more "custardy" than I am used to. Blood orange tart (3/5) - the tart itself was yummy but the blood oranges were quite bitter. Our meal was quite expensive which I completely understand given the quality of the ingredients they use and the fact that they are small business. With that being said, I'd probably only come back here for wine and small bites, not a full meal. But I think Voodoo Vin is worth trying at least once.
