This wine bar had really good vibes, but it was extremely busy on a Friday night. The ambience of the restaurant was nice so I can see why it's a popular spot. I do feel like it's a bit overpriced for what you get, but the service was good. They were backed up on our order and apologized by providing complimentary wine on the house, which was very kind of them. We got the Tuna tostada, Caesar salad and the pan con tomate. The tuna was fresh and the other two were just alright to me. It was really interesting as the salad had saradines which was different but nothing bad, but nothing really memorable either. Parking can be tough, but I was lucky enough to find street parking. Seating is also limited, and the wait can be long including the restroom line. First off, this restaurant is located right on Sunset and parking is really hard to find. I would recommend you make reservations as the restaurant is really small inside. I did see some tables out on the sidewalk, but not sure if they all belong to them or Santos right next door. They have a good amount of wines that are domestic and international. Our server, Rob (I think that was his name), gave us a few samples to try before we landed on one. Their menu is not that extensive, so just be aware of that. We didn't have reservations, but we were able to grab a table inside at around 5:30pm on a Saturday. This place was busy. I really liked the Hamachi Crudo. That was so good, but there's only 4 slices for about $21. It's dressed in a ponzu yuzu sauce. It was so good that we ended up pouring the left over sauce on to our Tuna Tostada. Both items were fresh and I could not taste any fishiness. We also ordered the Mushroom Risotto and Cacio e Pepe. I thought the risotto was good, but the rice was definitely undercooked. I would have said something, but we didn't have much time left. The pasta reminded me of Mac n Cheese. I thought it was way too salty and didn't really do it for me. The worst service and mediocre food. The hostess with the short hair was so incredibly rude. They messed up our reservation so we were left waiting for almost an hour before we got a table. She had an attitude when we were clearly upset and tried blaming us for their mistake. You're also literally eating on the sidewalk and people are bartering for chairs and tables. We needed one more table to make our group comfortable and they literally said no and gave it to someone who had a much later reservation than us. We tried to order a rose but they were out so we opted for some sparkling red wine which I've never had before. Our bill came out to almost $100 (after tip) for 2 glasses and a couple apps. The outdoor seating is a nice thought but it's on the literal street with no reserved area, which downgrades the atmosphere and makes the experience extremely uncomfortable when there are multiple large groups around. About a month ago, I came here to celebrate my wedding anniversary! First of all, their wine selection was fresh and unique, and everyone from the bar staff to the hostesses was so friendly. I ended up drinking three glasses of wine because their recommendations were so good, haha. Food here was on a next level. If you get the hamachi, I recommend paring it with bread since it can get a little too salty. If you like ice cream, this is a spot to try! The coconut, hint of vanilla and strawberry slush gives it a rich but not overwhelming sweet flavor. Highly recommend but don't pair it with wine. The bluefin tuna was my favorite. Me and my girlfriend tried this place out yesterday for the first time. Wine was good, service was 5/10, not so much friendly staff. Kinda get straight to the point and order staff. A worker that has short blonde hair with a little Star Wars rat tail that was helping us at first had the audacity to hit on my girlfriend while she was waiting for the restroom. I went last weekend with my girl friends and it was so much fun. The staff was super helpful with all of our dietary restrictions (one vegan, one GF, and one nut free) . As the vegan of the group, I was able to eat the mushroom tostadas, (vegan) tuna tostada, almonds, and olives.
